The Release of iOS 9 Beta 9 and Its Implications
Hey what's up guys, I was told that beta 9 is out yesterday. I know we did get a little carried away with our thread Ripper to build had some issues and before you know it it was too late to post so today I did want to update you on that there are a few new changes nothing huge but some optimizations here and there the firmware does keep getting better and better in terms of speed and smoothness so you're definitely gonna notice that especially on older devices. The success and below really do get a lot of performance enhancements from iOS 12.
First things first it's not a very large update about 260 to 70 megabytes on my iPhone and the cool thing is before updating I had a hundred and ninety eight gigabytes available after two hundred point seven two so I got almost three gigabytes back just by updating to beta nine cool I'll take it. Alright, let's get into those changes obviously the first one will be the performance boost everybody's noticing everybody's talking about it it just makes your old devices feel so much better and on the iPhone 6s if you go into the app switcher when it's empty now you'll have a taptic feedback so you'll feel that it was previously there in an earlier version of I was 12 then Apple removed it and now they've added it back kind of interesting that they keep doing that with some features adding them removing them placing them back and who knows if they'll remove them again in the future.
I always wondered why some features were being added or removed, so this is a good sign that consistency is going to be maintained going forward. I'm really hoping they're gonna add some new wallpapers when the new iPhones come out, not know why they just keep removing them and on non 3d touch devices when using the trackpad cursor feature used to not work or freeze up and then work in just a little bit and how that's been fixed and it pretty much works momentarily. Maps not being able to see live traffic has been fixed in this latest beta if you aren't able to see that take effect go into the settings turn traffic on and off and I should toggle it to work again.
The SoCs application has got a slightly reworked splash screen so the text has become a little bit smaller and this middle one has been replaced by businesses with a new icon. This was in the last bit by the way just updating you on that, and in the messages splash screen down here your conversations streamlined this is a new description not a new feature basically messages will be kept in a single conversation when you send or receive from link to iMessage addresses so that's just been an updated description in the splash screen. Guys yes the performance really does feel great the older your device the newer we'll feel and the latest geek benches do reflect this these are the highest geek benches I've ever seen my iPhone 10 post so 10,000 671 multi single core is a little lower than I've seen but still that is impressive.
It reflects even in the geek bench so I was 12 can't wait to see the final version we're on beta 9 already in the record with Iowa's 11 is beta 10 so we may even cross that with 11 betas before the final release here next month anyways the GM here should be out fairly soon so stay tuned for that and I've got very exciting updates coming for you once our computer is done here in just a couple days peace
