D3Live: Nintendo 3DS vs Sony PSP2

**Years Once Technology is Maturated**

I'd like to answer your question, which is a good one by the way, about how many game consoles I have. To be honest, I'm not even sure myself, as I have quite a few here that I need to count up. Mostly, they're Game Boys, but I'm not sure if you think the PSP2 will slide open and accept UMDs. Honestly, I don't know - I doubt that the PSP2 will be all digital download only like the PSP Go.

I think Sony learned their lesson from that experience, and they realize now that it's not a good idea to go all-digital. On the other hand, I think the UMD format has become outdated. It's an optical disc drive, which was designed well for its time, but today there's no need to have a spinning disc with all the parts and everything that entails.

I doubt they will have a UMD on the PSP2 itself, but maybe just as a way to slide it into the console, or perhaps you could buy an add-on to use your UMDs. I would be surprised if there's some sort of adapter that allows you to use them out of the box, but I don't think they will support them.

**Console Gaming vs PSP Gaming or PC Gaming**

You asked a pretty decent question about console gaming versus PSP gaming or PC gaming. To me, both have their strengths and weaknesses, and personally, I really like PC gaming for several reasons. There are games like Starcraft that are really made for the PC - I couldn't imagine playing them on a console.

First-person shooters are also better suited to a mouse and keyboard setup, especially for me. On the other hand, console gaming has its own advantages. When you buy a game for a console like the Xbox 360, you know it'll work without any issues, whereas PC games can be hit-or-miss depending on your hardware.

Consoles have their exclusive franchises that don't exist on PC, and most gamers will have both a console and a PC, so it really depends on what kind of games you like to play. That was a non-answer, I know, but that's just my opinion.

**Will PSP2 Run Android?**

That's a good question about whether the PSP2 will run Android. There have been talks about a supposed PSP phone that would actually run Android, and as far as I know, it's feasible. However, whether the PSP2 itself will run Android without being a phone is another story - I had no idea if it was possible.

I think it would be an interesting idea to have the PSP2 run Android, with instant access to all sorts of apps and games. It would be great to have that option, but I'm not sure if Sony will go ahead and make it happen.

That's it for this episode of D3 Live - thanks for watching! If you enjoyed this video, feel free to subscribe.
