Happy Birthday to Melanie!

As some of you may know, Melanie is a user who suggested Super Paper Mario, and she's also a fan of Nintendo. I thought it'd be nice to give her a little shoutout for her birthday tomorrow, August 14th. So, happy birthday to you, Melanie! Screen Capture Software

I finally got screen capture software for my Mac! Since I'll be on the college campus, I probably won't have as many opportunities to record gameplay videos like I do here at home. But who knows? Maybe I will. If not, I've got screen capture software as a backup plan. I'd love to give you guys some tips on how to use Mac OS 10. You know, interface, um Photoshop hints, maybe even a tour of the new Numbers application from Apple, which is part of ior08. Anything! If you want to see me do something with screen capture, just let me know - I'd love your suggestions!

Screen Capture Ideas

I'm open to any ideas for screen captures on my Mac besides games, since my Mac's not exactly the best for gaming. It's kind of outdated now, but I'll admit it, I'm dying over here! The New iMac

I still haven't seen the new iMac in person, so I don't really have any thoughts yet. But if I do see it soon, I'll definitely share my thoughts with you guys. In my last video, I noticed a few people criticizing me heavily - just a heads up that I love Apple and admire them very much. Just because I don't like the new iMac design doesn't mean I hate the company! I'm not a fan of the iPod Hi-Fi, either - it's just one product, after all. I have every right to express my opinion, but please know that my opinion may change if I see it in person.

The iPhone

My iPhone's doing great, and I'm still waiting for Apple to release a real software update with features like iChat or copy and paste (sigh). But I also want to thank you guys for your participation in my iPhone debate video - I appreciate it! And, of course, thanks again to everyone who's supported me over 1,200 subscribers. It's surreal, but I'll try not to get too caught up in the moment... yet.

let's get to the first topic of this blog okay going away to college as you may know I'm going to Stockton College of New Jersey not California which some people thought I meant but no Stockton in New Jersey so you know it's like an hour from here I'll be moving into my apartment on on campus on the 28th so I still have about two weeks here still you know just to kick back relax enjoy home stuff like that and get ready for school as well like get you know all my stuff together but a common question that I receive pretty often now is David will you still be making videos while you're still in college and the answer is definitely trust me it is going to take a lot more than School to make me quit YouTube trust me I love YouTube guys I love all of my subscribers it's just great so yes I was so yes I will still be I I still will be making videos if I can say it right but not as often so don't expect like I don't know I guess I guess right now I'm on like a weekly basis but that's another thing but I'll talk about something towards the end of this blog that has to do with videos and how I'll have more than you might think I will but yes just still still expect videos just not as many but who knows maybe expect more I don't know it depends where things go but yeah we'll just see where it goes so I'm leaving the 20th so yeah I mean the 28th so yeah almost there it'll be cool all right next on the agenda two new Wii games well one of them's not really that new anymore you saw it on my new tour of a geek Room video Resident Evil 4 it's a great game I just wanted to talk about it real quick um I beat it probably within a week of getting it my finished time was a little over 21 hours and I think that's about right CU I read on IGN that the play time is between like 20 and 24 hours so yeah it took a little over 21 hours it was a really good game it was it was only 30 bucks and it was definitely worth it um it wasn't like as groundbreaking as I thought it was going to be but then again this game came out what two years ago sorry that's my Max talking um hold on my dog's freaking out let me let her out all right I'm back sorry about that Ashley needed to be let out let out of my parents room she was going crazy so she's in here now so if you're here snoring in the background again like in my iPhone videos sorry about that anyway Resident Evil 4 I was just saying how it's not as groundbreaking as I thought it was going to be but then again this came out what two years ago I know I probably just said that but it was cool it wasn't like amazing but it was a good game I do it to be honest I do miss the horror side of it I mean yes it is it is horor like you know it has the zombies and the UN unworldly creatures but excuse me um I do miss kind of the classic resident Resident Evil Gameplay where the zombie dogs would suddenly jump out of the glass and make me jump but I do like the free roaming the gun with the weote it's really nice I just wish it would be a little more you know scarier because I don't think I jumped once so and that's not like a Resident Evil game for me because usually I jump at least once or twice through you know throughout the entire game but it was cool and I also beat what's it called separate ways that's ad Wong's um separate game it it take it took me like 3 hours hours three four hours something like that it was really quick basically it's the other side of the story line if you don't know it's like lon's story it's like Leon storyline but it's the other side of it and then they eventually come together and you see how everything happens it's pretty cool I'm just glad that they did that so you can see both sides of the story all right next up I just got this game on Friday Super Paper Mario finally this is a game I was on the edge of buying I like wasn't sure if I would like it or not because I have to be honest I wasn't a big fan of the last Paper Mario I think it was like the Thousand-Year Door or something like that cuz I love Mario games but I'm not the biggest RPG player and I know it had RPG elements and I don't know I'm I'm just I'm just not a big RPG person but if it's like Final Fantasy or something then I like it but I like Mario in its classic form so for those of you who don't know Super Paper Mario is a sequel It's for the Wii yes it was on the GameCube first but they ported it over with some little add-ons whatever but I like it a lot you can switch from 2D to 3D which is really neat I mean I've been switching to 3D a lot in the game but it still amazes me how the world's like suddenly changed it's it's just so cool you just have to play it to see you know what I mean and it's great to have the sides scrolling gameplay back it's so good to like you know jump on Goombas I think they're called Goombas right and you know it it's just so cool and when you get like this when um you get the star you turn in like the big classic um 8bit yeah I think it's 8 bit 8 bit Mario from the NES days it's so cool and I to thank girl loves Nintendo Melanie is a real name it's a user on here saying um that you know this this game's really good so I'm glad I listen to her and I'm glad I finally got this it's a little frustrating cuz I'm stuck right now now and I have no idea where to go but I'm sure I'll figure it out anyway cool game pick it up if you're a Mario fan anyway you know alike when it comes to technology and our family videos and stuff like that but I just want to give him a little plug right here because I know I have a good amount of subscribers and you should really go over to his channel And subscribe because episode 2 is coming out within the week I think episode one's been out for a little while but he promises EP episode two is gonna be longer and what's cool is Alfred and I recorded the voiceovers ourselves so it'll be it'll be our actual Voice or actual voices I just think that's so cool cuz this takes YouTube to another level it's just so cool so what what he's doing is it's called geek Adventures it's a story about me and Alfred you know doing our usual thing I'm playing the Wii and stuff and he tells me to stop but episode two is
