S15 Update & Tokyo's Disney Sea
A Day at Tokyo Disney Resort
As we arrived at Tokyo Disney Resort, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We had been looking forward to this trip for months, and finally, it was here. My friend Nicole and I were determined to make the most of our day and hit as many rides as possible.
We started our day by purchasing Fast Pass tickets for our favorite rides. The wait times are notoriously long at Tokyo Disney Resort, so we knew we had to act fast. We managed to secure spots for the 10:00 p.m. return time, which would allow us to ride our top choices with minimal wait. With our tickets in hand, we set off to explore the park.
One of the things that struck me about Tokyo Disney Resort was how different it is from other theme parks I've visited. The attention to detail is incredible, and every aspect of the park, from the decor to the food, seems to be designed with the guest experience in mind. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the food at various restaurants throughout the park. My burger meal, which included a hamburger, drink, and fries, came out to a mere $13 - a fraction of what I would have expected back home at Disney.
As we made our way through the park, we encountered some interesting characters. One group of individuals, who could only be described as troublemakers, muttered something under their breath when they saw me walking by. To my surprise, they took offense to using the word "gaijin," a term used in Tokyo Drift to refer to foreigners. I shot them a dirty look and challenged them to a drift-off, which quickly defused the situation.
Despite the occasional unpleasant encounter, we were determined to make the most of our day. We spent hours riding rollercoasters and other attractions, taking in all that Tokyo Disney Resort has to offer. However, one ride did stand out - Journey to the Center of the Earth. While it was not as scary or intense as some of the other rides at the park, its unique theme and impressive special effects made it a standout experience.
One thing I would caution potential visitors is that waiting in line can be long, even for those with Fast Pass tickets. We waited over two hours to ride Journey to the Center of the Earth, which was an eye-opening experience after all the excitement we'd experienced earlier in the day. If you're considering visiting Tokyo Disney Resort, I would strongly recommend planning ahead and securing a spot on the return times you want.
After a long day at the park, Nicole and I decided to grab some dinner and take in the evening atmosphere. As we sat down to eat, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience we'd just had. While Tokyo Disney Resort may not be everyone's cup of tea, it certainly offered us an unforgettable adventure.
A Post-Disney Update
But before we bid adieu to our Japanese friends, I have some exciting news to share with you all. As some of you know, I've been working on the S15 project, and I'm thrilled to report that day one is finally complete! Draining the fluids, removing unnecessary parts, and stripping down the exhaust system was a great starting point.
For now, the car looks like its usual state - a bit rough around the edges, but with a great foundation for what's to come. Day two promises to be just as exciting, as I'll be working on disassembling the engine and preparing it for further modifications. But that's all I can reveal for now - stay tuned!
As a special thank you to our supporters at Juku, I'd like to offer all of you a free shipping code for any orders over $50. Simply use my name (Adam LLC) at checkout, and your purchase will come with no additional cost.
We've got an exciting travel day ahead of us tomorrow, but don't worry - we'll be back in Florida soon, ready to dive into the chaos of Black Friday sales and new merchandise. In fact, I'm planning on hosting a special open house event at our warehouse, which promises to be a wild ride (pun intended). Stay tuned for all the updates from Japan, and I hope you're as excited as we are!
