Dukase Build Part 3 (Final Thoughts)

The Coalition Gaming Crew Presents: Duase Build Review

Hello everybody, it's Chris with the Coalition gaming crew, also known as Hellga, and I'm excited to share with you our latest build review. We've completed the duase build, which we had posted videos about earlier, and I hope you've been following along. As you can see, everything is lit up nice and shiny here.

I'm hanging out with my camera guy, Home Brw Hero, right now, and I'm really happy with the end result of this build, especially considering the cost. We managed to total damage at 250 bucks, which could have been less if I didn't need a case. If I didn't need the case, it could have been 200 bucks. That's pretty unheard of to get a good water cooling solution for that price.

I want to emphasize that this build is definitely recommended, especially for those on a budget. However, we did run into some hiccups with the graphics card, mainly because it was a non-standard PCB due to being a custom card. You won't encounter that issue if you have a reference card or can verify that the Kraken G10 is compatible with your bracket. Just do your research when it comes to buying a G10 bracket.

When it comes to my temps, I'm really important, and I mentioned them in our last video. At idle, my 970 used to be mid-40s, about mid-40s. But after putting this guy on there, idle now goes to 28 to 31 depending on ambient temperature. That's a heck of an improvement! Load temps are really the most important one for me, and they were almost 80°C just gaming. I wasn't even using any benchmarks or stressing the card in any abnormal way. But when running Valley for 40 minutes straight on Extreme HD preset, the hottest it got was 55 to 56 C – that's over a 20° drop! That's incredible.

Now, I know how high my card can get and still be just fine, so now I know how much thermal headroom I have. When I start overclocking, hopefully the card will cool just as well, and the cooler will work just as well. I believe that shouldn't be a big deal. Overall, the case is really nice, and the graphics card, cooling setup, after some little hiccups came out very well.

We're running the Corsair H55 on exhaust, the Deep Cool Captain 240 ex working pretty good too, and we have one 120mm fan on intake, which gives us a negative pressure setup. We've moved the computer up to minimize any dust it's going to suck in because it's sucking in a lot of air right now. Not just from the fan, but also from everywhere else.

If you're interested in learning more about our AIIO setups versus full custom water loop setups, cost, difficulty of setup, and how good the temps are one versus the other, we have a Tech Talk video that goes into length on all these topics. You can check it out over on our Home Heroes channel, and the link will be in the description.

That's it for our duase build review. It's complete, and Red Beast is ready to go! We'll see you next time!

verify that that it's compatible with the Kraken G10 um or if you can verify through research that other people have done it without many issues so just do your research when it comes to buying a G10 bracket the Corsair h55 is absolutely plenty as far as I can tell for that card my temps which is really important which is what I mentioned here at the end of the last video temps temps um at idle for the uh for My 970 used to be mid-40s uh yeah about mid-40s and then I put this guy on there and idle now went to 28 to 31 depending on ambient temperature that's that's a heck of an improvement
