first grade and Eton sports and Johnson's third so we've been friends for a long time damn but I guess you know casual talks hope you guys enjoy this kind of stuff but the first thing I want to talk about definitely - man that's Nikki bays I wasn't really big into the first game I didn't play it all too much and that was like when the story modes just kind of blessed yeah I know that a lot like VLC and stuff that came out that kind of like made that better so it fixed a lot of just like the core content issues of what made the game like way too time-consuming with like no return on your investment really frustrating and especially like Frank you're in college at the time yeah it came out your senior deal at senior year so I played it like the first week and we all right look cool but they acid ends like the cement you started picking up and I kind of played it last and then I just kind of fell out of it the story mode in tabouli like grass me now yeah to keep up with it in year one for like an economic standpoint of the game it was just not bullying this books not I had have been do it only for a little while I think I played I quit before the first expansion came out which moves I've taken King or first expansion was three months and if we're talking about like the serial expansion yeah yeah that was was in the first year so yeah if you stopped playing within the first three months your two things got a lot better that was when the taken King came out and that was like the big like year long like it's actually pretty much every core content issue from a gameplay standpoint still not you know narrative really strong but it was pretty damn cool and then year three they went in did the whole house of wolves or not how suppose I'm sorry the iron banner based when I think of the name right now but that was really cool too and they added more subclasses and such nice was that your three to I don't know it's all blended together it's like just soup cans destiny toys the question of the beta because I just came out I know we all play the astronaut debt and uh it looks pretty it it all agree on that it's very good but in terms of like repenting that idea if there was like shaking things up again need to change it too much they want to like you know stick to their roots but um I don't know if it's because I played a lot of this is the face I was so pumped for destiny when it came out and I played it and I was like at because that summer before I played a lot of Mass Effect right I was really pumped for Mass Effect Andromeda played it that was like a destiny games I was so pumped for reminding each other but it's just like like I feel familiar yeah something the beta came out I played it I felt like it was okay but that's just me yeah aside from being like completely different style games first person third person adventure subpar MMO the and like the gameplay between the aesthetic is where they kind of like merge visually and that's like you know where I can understand you get that kind of like lit out of the two games where I hope they go with it story-wise is a little more direct into the explanation of now this world that you've lived in for three years and expand on that and actually make it like a cohesive like living element that you can enjoy because if you're not if you're not connected to the world you're not going to want to play and explore and do all that but you're probably more inclined to if you played the game more first a couple years ago I also excited for it and you know I've been invested in that but for yourself like what do you think like do you have any like late for it or you hopeful wife right now no no I I agree but um I mean like if my friends pick it up you know everyone's playing it maybe I'll I'll hop on try it out lately I gotta you guys please like to get it for a while that's seem cool yeah which is like when I played everyone else was like playing online all the time like free before a so I know like I played what you can do gives you time to learn it involves like I'm going to destroy you guys are carrying everything all the environmental stuff that you do like the like PvE elements that's something you need to like try to like keep up with and if you didn't complete all the story missions and do all the other content is really hard to like be on par but you can jump into like any crucible match that wasn't competitive and still hold your own because of just how the balance was know which was the other thing about the destiny to beta that I feel they took way too far in the opposite direction from the players if I have not played the beta yet okay okay so what kind of gameplay do you even touch upon in the beta it is a PvE any ve you get strength so it opens up with a story machine that kind of introduces you to what's going on and shows you the main villain and sets up basically I guess the goals of what you're trying to do you'll see it if you play it through the download at the moment then you have like a quick play control goon site which is similar and familiar with some minor changes a competitive game type which is more like a search-and-destroy plus elimination from like Call of Duty like economy see like one team us to go plant a bomb and you have two options to go to and then the other thing you can do is you can do a strike okay cool yes so my big concern with the destiny 2 is kind of you're saying that all the mechanics are really tired of course because they always have been oh yeah my biggest concern is everything that kind of ties the different game types together right so PvP was always great the strikes were always really good the story missions are okay they're all kind of just run straight and shoot yeah there's a stronger enemy at the end of it yeah so there's no depth really in there but everything is tied together by going to planet running through an empty planet to a point where exactly your rail shooters started yeah so I think really expand on making an open-world yeah that's well if you had mentioned how instead of having instances for each planet or like each social zone yeah it just it's one seamless thing so I suddenly you're on earth somewhere and you just walk into the social space and all of a sudden there's not much fun to play there and kanuk by things when you want to shoot yeah you know more like an MMO like wow or something I said actually that would be a really cool world thing for them technically still keep fast travel for sure is okay to want to and that's that's been like every like that's just like a time management like efficiency thing that should be in pretty much every game but if you it does be that connection where you could go from one zone to another you know with the exception that maybe planet because it makes sense to fly in a spaceship and go somewhere but like just yeah on earth if you're just an open area and there's stuff to do and there's different camps like you get a question with somebody and you actually go out into the world and do it as opposed to just click on a mission or something I think that would really make it feel like the place is more living as opposed to occupied for sure so that's a that's yeah it comes out soon though it looks weird on September 10 / 9 I believe 2017 so the game is done yeah favorite logical they just need you if you do for the competitive stuff it feels just like the multiplayer gameplay is slower like significantly slower pace they're focusing on more the squad element I guess again we're like a team play like focus firing so similar to how like like a halo 3 or like something like that would play where you know you team fire guy down he's pretty much done but if you want you want someone's going to take a bit of time so if you get outnumbered there isn't going to be any more of that oh let me run over and like shotgun this guy and then spin around pulse rifle another dude and it's they've taken the balance to like auto rifles are like specific to their class and what they beat within range and the trade-offs and like Rock Paper Scissors are saying they have gone on through the various weapons I think is in a good spot just the time to kill solo at least for me I don't know I like the quicker gameplay to some other region and destiny like other health packs are there um so yeah like you have you have a shield like okay now like standard and then you have your health regen but like all the cooldowns are really slow like Billy you're playing the beta and you did the first mission to the locators try this and when you see your grenade you like didn't come back three minutes for it to come back or that's what felt like it stuff like yeah and for long yeah you picked up like eight super orbs which would like straight up give you your super in the first game and he'd like a third of his bar right there and it was like wow that was kind of whatever and they showed a lot of gameplay off at e3 which mean we were all like texting like live during it it's up and getting like reactions as someone who looks like kind of shifting away from playing a lot of games like what did you think of it did anything like get your attention that make you interesting of e3 yes up up and you met your game looked really cool just kind of a really so that was I thought that was cool game I don't know if that was actually game play was hard to tell I think it's half and half yeah so I thought that was cool but I'd like to see some like real gameplay like really being hyped on that's one thing he 3 is into risk for like they say gameplay alway like yeah it's never rendered in a stuff um man I can't remember what else was it said I remember that was cool um one game from I think was a Bioware where was like it kind of in remind me of destiny but like you like you're like primarily previews where your big guy oh man you know that's all that's a beer yeah I don't know what studios you might forget but that looks really cool do under the name right now via that that's one thing that because they were showing that off when they announced the Xbox one the day fox x XX monix yeah right close Scorpio I think for me because it was the new council reveal year I was looking for like really visually impressive games and only two were like Metro and that one I feel like there were a lot of like indie titles like what the pirate one my old tires or something as a dynamic one yeah which actually he's done yeah yeah just kind of fun but in terms of like power I was like yeah I've shown up a new consoles you were well but um right man I can't remember anymore I mean that I mean that could have shows Alex man power yeah I felt same like there was very few titles I mean even with like you said the Xbox in 1x reveal they showed off like two or three like main Gainesville's attic Triple A games and I rest your F like hour and a half is all like indie games yeah like if you're showing off this new powerful console like show it off in like ways where we can like it compress by don't show all things that can be run on a 360 and I feel like a lot of the games there like we were saying back port like this looks like it could be Rana 360 right yeah it looks worse than that some of the games but again that's kind of like they're from foremost indie games they're not going for graphics and so yeah they usually usually an indie game has some sort of like art style that they're trying to achieve in these and pulling that off well and I think where they their strong suit and that is that stylistic behavior and like cult following that those games end up like having like a game I'm trying to play at Ivan place yeah like Ori and the blind forest like any of those like Ubisoft like art framework games are awesome I look they just love the aesthetic of it and the sharpness the the the range of color that's all I love that like it makes you feel like you are now immersed this is very worried but I can't over the name of this one it's so much but now that you're mentioning like the colors in the art style there was one game where it's like this pixel art but the colors are we I don't know the name of that and the animations looked really cool loads during the Xbox conference yeah it's like some sort of like futuristic sci-fi side-scrolling like you know things are being left that is like number one on my list Lia because of the art style was so unique I think that's what we see now more so with with the games in general is just the the composition of what's happening on screen has gotten a lot better but is fuller or more filled because you look back like 360 games here's you like Call of Duty 4 even like that felt like it had like a lot of stuff happening going on screen but even if you want modern warfare 2 or like any one of the newer called ease that's come out the maps like they're way more dense to do stuff alia people were like all fallout 3 feels so barren and like wasteful and that works on like a three you can make that happen on a 360 that's fine and that's why I probably fallout 4 they like held off to tell that Boston storyline until later yeah Boston to the city it's really dense so that Mac didn't feel big it just felt fallout 4 felt told me know which I thought was kind of cool because you could go through these not some guys papers and then come out the top and you're like good see the whole city is like that's cool man that was that's fun for me and I think that's what the power of evening consoles is getting is you're not only just spreading out and feeling that world but now you're like lifting it up and giving it physically more debt one thing that really impressed me in terms of the Xbox one ex was the price point like five hundred dollars for that right yes that's pretty good okay ready if you're looking at building a PC that can run 4k 60fps like it says they can do and a lot of that it's not like true 4k right but if you want to know something comparable you're looking at around like 650 and up yeah and everyone in the past is been like console fashion because you can build like a crazy PC for half the price of the console but now it's starting to catch up riggan the whole thing with it's not being like a true 4k yeah this kind of like a great space there because with graphics cards I was you can also do that but even that was it the whole this is whole thing going on kind of slowing down now but there was this one like mineral mining thing going on with Crassus cards where prices were skyrocketing like to $300 like aftermarket increase so I mean now you can still kind of build a comparable PC to around like like I said like round 700 but the fact that I can pull that off in this small form-factor for 500 bucks that makes pretty impressive that's for sweet now again the game they showed after that was Forza Motorsport yes not open-world game right so yes it can probably do that this close in math they have a little track and stuff and the thing is yes again with the PC you can probably do that but I doubt it's going to run the Xbox one X going to run 60 frames consistently right so again you can do that with a PC if you're different like 48 every now and then or something so as of right now is still really early there are specs out there but until you have it and you can see what's going on a lot of gray area but the price is still pretty good and that's that's the thing about like console versus PC that I've always still had a console for one is tons of games of your unit but from a performance standpoint it is a machine that is dedicated to doing one specific job and that is gaming yeah so that whole operating system the engines that they use and everything is built around this consistent hardware spec and you can pull more out of that if you're an engineer and if an you know software developer and such you can make that work like that's how you know the 360 lasted for like 10 years you know and still brought like really awesome titles if you look at early 360 games and then where they ended up and what they did with that console was impressive you know every couple of years now you know a PC gamers like oh you know this isn't running let me get the new 1080 or whatever and they'll go up to you like the flagship card and you kind of like need that but if you want that consistent performance all the time like you're looking at like if you're on the Nvidia side of things you're looking at like a like a 60 suffix number and like forward so thank you like at a 60 70 or 80 whether you're that 9 series 10 series above whatever they have next year to get that level of performance no so and then of course they tell the Buzzard numbers out at you but it's like if you do it like floating point operations like getting like 6 million or it's like six teraflops or something really I don't even know what a kpop is yeah so a flop is floating-point operation which means like how much 3d like elements they can have ruffles is rough I don't exactly know islet of an idea so just means how much stuff you can render live on screen okay and you know terror is whatever how many commas and yeah so that is comparable to like a 980 you know which is pretty sweet to throw into a console because those usually come in like a budget spec which last year of like in a year old card yeah last year we Manning so kind of relevant and that it solved the graphics card we're running for like 500 bucks you know the graphics card so yeah yeah but doing some good things I'll probably pick it up because in a little a do you guys plan on buying it oh yes oh yes I can yeah absolutely probably I just okay I didn't have a channel probably not because there's no like need for me right now to do and I'm making a lot more PC games lately yeah like just for like maybe like a first look at unboxing kind of video or something I probably will but um it's not like okay I'm not only even pump work yeah every channel I'm not going to get it yeah I probably won't care about my xbox one s yeah and that can do fortune okay oh there's still it up scales and the HDR whatever they put a bunch of lusts on it to miss your game look nice so I'm fine with that our any upscale looks great but I was comparing I know they're different consoles but I was comparing The Witcher 3 on a 4k display on the Xbox one s versus the ps4 Pro the ps4 pros kind of the equivalent of the Xbox one x yes nearly identical of course the pro looked better but you would not notice unless you set them up next Yeah right which i think is a testament to like just like display technology in general I just bought a 4k monitor recently during Prime today actually we're talking about that and that thing is beautiful I'm never going back like yeah just having you know I've been reading a Lex box one and I was like I wonder what this is gonna look like plug it in try it start playing what the hell is I plan million hearts or whatever which is another you know Ubisoft art framework game I have a backlog games I gotta be but like that look great like the upscale whatever the monitors doing or whatever the system is doing to push that up looks good you know it looks good there's nothing to complain about there especially like if you can reduce performance hit like aliasing just because you have all of this resolution now and then squeeze that down you guys know wasn't any a what for like 60 no no no I know you I mean I've got one that wasn't shown as well but okay for a like every year at Allen knows what's going to happen they tweeted like a few years ago it like it's up in the air like we know that I whatever did stay one what I thought he was Della's awesome did well recently like last month I think skate three was free because like Oakland yours area I was playing something and I gotta learn to like to skate for you finish downloading look what then I went to check now this because I have EA access or if it was like free from EA but it was in my keys and booted it up again and I played it for like five hours straight one night Wow it was like I mean the night after the day after I posted that a video on Twitter like I played it from like midnight selecting 4:00 a.m. but even like kissing all the time everything I've had a great time the girl is awesome there's nothing like we are all big Tony - yeah like we went in on telling you all right I feel like I'm gonna Graham I feel like sitting on culture though it isn't like yeah it's definitely not what we different when we were kids I don't know I don't know you some people do as much I was be like the branch church around yeah you have times when everybody was wearing it has that played out now yeah G bad I mean we grew up like back in like 2003 2005 like those like the glory years for skateboarding yeah because that's what like dating ourselves so yeah but like if you kind of want to attribute it back to like feel like it getting the Payette are oh yeah it was definitely like early 90s late age like that was obviously like more than I tried I'm talking like more modern the kick because like jackass came out and that's been like all on the street you know like on the go filming CKY right valium and stuff like that's when like people was really coming back again come back accepted common athletic like see like the commonality of it is just like yes it was huge and we were liking 56 periods of time I don't mean Billy with skateboard for hours and hours and hours and never got the audience oh it's so bad but that's my kitty hawk started coming out and set up and those games were amazing like I know for most of us you can promise to like tribute the soundtrack so like oh yeah won't be looking cute today Italy and then escape came out and like mm like seven of 2008 and it's just destroyed coming off in that just the idea of having controls that weren't like the arcade specials where you're like doing thing and action happened it was like you need like you are now controlling what your feet do like in a very intuitive way and I think that's another like turning point in gaming in general where controls started becoming like really cool like more immersive into what your characters doing like Dark Souls I think does that really well it still has that like sort of arcade element but you know when you bring up your shield like you're holding your shoe in the sky like Skyrim all these sort of things works like it's more direct you're not just like this is like giving a command rectly includes your trick yes and it's like would you pull something cool off like you feel like you feel good but I felt good even just doing like kick tips yeah like it's like man I did a crime like I dated like a no slap on your mind they ended up so felt like jump prep a to John press Y to grind jump off again you're doing that with your thumb stick yeah it was really cool fantastic I remember when that the demo came out is date and it was just what you had that one skatepark I would play for hours and hours and I would just literally like make lines I'm doing like cry going the pool and bluegrass like it was like not even insane stuff like Tony Hawk Eagle Eye you're like double program every day to keep those cones are manually it doesn't matter yet well like yeah I don't know it just don't like yeah yeah awesome question II of that game was like a whole new level of like this is the skateboarding game move this is great man like just going back like obviously skate three things well because goods I remembered but still looks alright I like how like the camera was like kind of like back and behind you like you it's like being filmed just cool yeah it's a little angle station and one thing skate 3 did really well was like integrate the world like it's pretty much an open world even like go to the different spots and they have like a team where you can like either hand my side like the computer made ones or you can like make your own friends and put them in and call up your team like you skate around you can have them like just as AI just skating around like the natural world with you which is really cool I love stuff like that and that was a great thing what would you like as a scape for if it were to happen honestly there's not much about skate 3 I didn't like it because they just like I mean the first two are really good because like it was like the first integration of it and it was like to dissolve it to it but 3 I think is what really at the same time it also kind of made it a little bit more crazy to the whole a column each thing you can like break all your bones go yeah pulling for it but of it like bad side tons of funny Internet I was always begging like creative parks and stuff and like they have that in k3 and you can go and like unlock different parks and stuff once you like sell a certain amount of boards just like you're like money and stuff you know that you can make like your own skate videos we like put like take pictures and stuff and have them actually as and in the game nice one thing is really cool in like when you're riding around you can like get off your board and you could move around certain objects in the world to like make your own sort of like line up and they have like a thing where would you like be going to lock more objects to put in like rails benches stuff like that you can like just make your own sort of like whole little line in this world you're running around yeah it's I don't know it's still like lisanna bazaars if you can like to have the d-pad is like animations you can do you can just get off your board and like like flap your arms like running the traffic and stuff that people like that's like funny though like sandbox kind of yeah feel but like you're you're involving yourself with the world yeah like in an authentic way as opposed to just like giving something command I think that's a bit like the strong suit of I think that's what VR kind of tries to do in a way but just more visually and not actually with like good solid game playing controls which i think is where games need to really focus now you know you know that's another thing that was not at e3 VR know VR yeah I do want to touch on that more towards the end so that's one thing that well that's a real because yet but this real quick going back skate for like if they could just honestly polish up like a variable on the world of the brain even grown-ups don't understand what I have in me they have such an occasion to be abased I wiped out on the franchise yeah millions of sales if each of the first three I'm like like multi-million selling well I don't know what this all you know but I felt like Tony Hawk suffered yes because of it like then you guys kind of disappeared I mean actually it's the same like like why no half-life 3 yeah yeah like that was like in winners game I have like two you know exciting huge so I Haley just looks he making it doesn't have incentives to make it but I think I'm like EA I like or known for putting out like these cookie cutter yeah but like still like release title W as it's great items because they're big in the scores it's like that yeah and again yes while its keyboarding see has died fanbase and still is so strong I reckon it will do so well you'll see people like asking that like the whole like yeah why not skate for like pops up not as much as like like the half like argument or like you know what are we getting like portal three or some like not that level but it's there so there's no demand yeah like those are I don't know if it's like kind of far to mad like we picked it up right before Easter and I've already put 195 hours onto the ice yeah and Amy's like not over here on your yeah I've already drained Abed yeah it's not like counter-strike time to time that's only like 75 hours yeah that's lesson but it's just one game that like you know like a lot about it yeah I've watched it good amount of like gameplay video okay there's something about it it just it brings you to like this like you're so narrow down what's going on because like you're your life actually mean something because if you die like our asset cracks and amend you but like you just value that time so much there's no like better and rewarding feeling than the winnings been winning get that chicken dinner and it's just it's great express what it says this is where you're in a chicken big and so I don't know if you've never played it play it like oh my god it's so fun we all like battlefield a lot because like game like in that game like you feel like you valued your life more yeah a battlefield yeah yeah battlefield good let me set up a little no you know I know where you're going with that shouldn't declare yeah battlefield not battleground because in that game like we just play a lot of Cod's and once battlefield 3 came out we switch to that there's a felt more realistic be like you value your teamwork and your life more and in this game it's like you have to value that because if you die during the game yeah but I'm really doing this different like you know you don't start with anything so like you have to run around pick up all your gear and whatnot that you want or don't want and then like distribute surprise supplies with teammates if you have lemon or anything and then that I like to just go click hunt Peter it's best if that's me I just like to go find them and take their stuff but sometimes that's not the best idea and that's what's so great about is like there's there's different pathways to try to get to the end of the game and you're also fighting not really the environments like I wish they had more environmental stuff that videos it's not really access like I think it launched in like March or something and it's supposed to be fully done by believe like November but like for an early access game like it is very polished like better than my with a lot of games on PCs that are just release and are a lot of cellular crappy a lot of other earlier access games like yeah definitely problems women yeah and early access really turned me off for a while but then like once every start talking about and left I started seeing what happens like look if I don't like it I'll just like tell steam like I don't want this yeah and you know we were hoping yeah I know if you played a lot with Holly Miculek always look honored because you can do solos duo's like that July squad they play solo at all my I do so I play a lot but I usually play with him common love with someone else jump in itself will disrobe of the group of three like we've often times we which one it's been like three play with it I can but you don't win a lot that's the plaintiff to 100 other people and stuff so I think I've only one total like around 15 times in those almost 200 hours of point so and when you wait it's just like everything like the top 10 you're in like your heart just starts like yeah I'll show you like crazy you an adrenaline kicks in great maybe they're usually like do not read about this receipe it was two months like every night I would play I would have a piece intense like PTSD Tennant dreams of like never letting me like the moment of the game like what I've done it's like more in a way that it like it just gets crazy but like the last like two times we've won I like them in like acting like one thing flex on top 10 also I start Katherine just in case we come like see like what we did wrong or like what we did that is good and the other time we were thinking the last time you want like it just gets so intent at the end just so hard to explain but like Raisa kill the guys it's like alright that's how we do it you've got to be in this one building right here yeah yes yes up on them I was like the one thing you're worried about a lot is other players but like now I can math like restrict us up and we're you happy a oh so that's a big thing but one of the things that when I'm playing solo is and like another game don't use your bike this but in this game like I will camp out for a bit I'll high in the bush for 20 mins I have maximum like been very is probably how as we bind at playing yeah if you value your times like you don't want to get all this cool gear and like it shoppings like behind and it's click on left if only it's nothing you did wrong yeah sometimes they're having many people that you just can't control it you get like a ghillie suit like if you're lucky enough we get one of the crates and it's like you will be like blending the grass and stuff and just hang out for like 20 minutes which drives me nuts a couple of when you get good gear and you have it and the rest of us we're all like set and ready and decked out and we still are hesitant to engage on a team that we can probably destroy because we're set and we don't do it I get really sad because if I have we here here we go a lot of the times is I want have like a scope or site where I'll have like no like helmet or vest yeah and then is that various bodies in years again so you can like go into any house any building can find stuff and I just having horrible look the past like two weeks of gear yeah we played a little bit last night I brought my uh my razor blade laptop if you put it around and there was like no does it we didn't find anything just made that all game food and then I got so glad you just like laying down at the top of the stairs are you building well yeah I'll check outside the world level stamp and a half I hate that yeah but it's a really fun now there's just one popular streamer and this was kind like a big thing the past week doctor disrespect okay Cantus you guys like Jesus over the top he plays this like so weird it's ridiculous you know you know Ben Stiller in dodgeball yeah yeah that's like exactly what at Mi India does he wears this crazy mullet wig he has these like like dark shades and he had a ridiculous mustache but he calls it his Evo being poisonous caterpillar it's not a mustache okay but he's like there's from swinging too over the top guy like six foot eight like I don't know this reading the ridiculous dude but he is like the number one streamer on switch when it comes to this game like he'll have like 25 like 20 to 25,000 viewers at once during that game and sheesh last week he was streaming and it was him and two other streamers so there was pretty popular music streaming together and they got grouped with a random excited squads and and turn off like auto matchmaking or whatever so they just got a random in there and they're running around for a bit and one of the rules in the game is no team killer and it would have built into the game or no it's just like a moral okay rule though yeah and they found like a little motorcycle for the side car so you could pick three in it which would left one guy out so he's just like me on stream that I were just like killed him to be like point and I guess one of the devs was watching and the second that game was over they banned him wow this is a guy in who has every time he streams like 25,000 people watching probably responsible for a good portion other sales you not say not directly you can't like get in maligore's is his income yeah exactly but you got flex you buy other stuff but like for the past like months waiting some screaming 20,000 each time whatever and so you got banned after that he's managed to feel like a different account but the the player unknown like the main bed like it on Twitter and stuff you went on and said like regardless of who you are like not calling the rules like you're going to bad time pretty much so like he band and stuff and II replied back saying like usually I just like correct like could I kick you in the face like I try to high kick you in the face as I can I was like kicking the chick and then the developer like obviously he's just like playing part of that character and he's like well responded like I don't care who you are like resulting the violence is not the answer in a head and he's just like obviously I'm kidding he is like an online personas yeah yeah so the example I took it all serious everybody was like obviously this guy's just messing around so the next day because like all his like tweets I like on that whole Thresh like be like chill you use messing around so the next thing the desk puts out this thing saying like god this is this will explain yesterday and the reason he said that like whole like build result like the violin stuffs people don't know like if you're kidding apparently he was in college him and his roommate got into an argument and instead of handling it like menu Bieber had this whole thing he's a lame in his roommate kicked him in the chest and his head went through a glass door so when he read that tweet you like triggered this like anxiety thing but it's like so ridiculous your roommate kicked you in the chest you're him through glasses you saw this tweet from an online personality who's messing around playing your game and he's talking all serious like my ride that he was anything more than just tweet back no that was a bad pick ups only bar I didn't really take it far he didn't take it any farther than this guy did right by me like just go to Valley I'm just maybe the story is true but like obviously reading a tweet from a guy like trigger this anxiety attack or you're like oh my god they just take me to resort that kind of thing I feel like he should have had it himself like he can say like yo don't threaten me yeah somebody's fine I think the only reason it's blown that way is because the streamer had 25,000 people backing him yeah yeah today Bama sues the countless fans it was like a three day band his new account that he made was like glass door or something like that so those threes wanting this last duel sad about them so you know that like when you continue to play into it whether it like your persona or not now you're now you're ticket who we got a ring or so now you're starting to border on like like play the persona and like do something along those lines but it's like if you start tying it back in to like why you're mad personally outside your character then I think youyou you're on the line we watch a little bit um last night I'm like yeah I don't like account of my characters employees I don't like I think it's ridiculous yeah and you're into that like you kind of like that outlandish sense of humor sometimes yeah no no but goodness is just weird again I'd like to play it I don't have a PC to game on so kind of waiting for the console drop yes that's other things wheelies coming out to a year the PC Xbox one and ps4 they're working on like two new maps and stuff why would you like mechanics itself it's going to be pretty cool I'm definitely pumped to do math that's whose ID we've sunk almost 200 hours and there's one map that we know like I said oh yeah yeah it was like we can get some new mass going on that'd be sick now like new whether it's up every now and then no it's cool like I'm you get like a like a sunset version of the one map and get like a rain version of the one man I love the rain version because I feel like I'm like way sneakier yeah I got like Heights footsteps and stuff around and kind of harder here some like sneaking up on your like one Adam maybe every 20 or so games they're like that's a little less like we need any more of that to happen now they are adding zombies which again it's not gonna be the main mode if any like I forget sever zombie moves all along I thought it was like the zombies were like a is like kind of like a we've reached like spicy zombies until okay I look like 100 zombies in the world and all coming at you why not that now I'm pretty sure it's like very beta testing so far it's actual players that are zombies and they just all run to you they they all drop with you which is jump out of the helicopter or the plane and then it's just like they try to so it's an even bigger server or is it just a smaller team of yeah I think it's still a hundred you know you get like a six or seven squad of humans Oh which together but then everyone else is on me okay which low is kind of we're on a nine if doesn't because as soon as you drop like the zombie do like well I'm just going to drop and follow so as soon as you start the games with 100 comes from there's some sort of limitation oh yeah you're the streams I watch of that testing just like these jumped out as soon as you jump battling yeah and chase you down that kind of sucks and now you're like that's like when you drop just to like with another human like that's frustrating sometimes because you go to like except up they come up behind you like a machete I don't know 99 other people are yes yeah but I'm she was like responsible at the baby modern stuff I figure it could be like oh they're zombies players like in the world and you're like why around try doing I think I would have mind today yeah like that worked much better and if there are like human players or say if you get killed by a zombie maybe one out of every so many zombies like you get turned into one and then there's a whole bunch of AI zombie stuff there's also a person zombie too you know so you could you know your fight like a whole border leg she Dai zombies and then like a human zone to be possible we get the chicken dinner at zombie uh maybe later today like on video zombie and if you Childress those players that be wild yeah oh can be just like zombies managed something like that but yeah yeah I think that'd be kind of neat and that way you don't have to like exit the game you could still stay in the game if you wanted to but just give the plays as well like as a hobby like infection game modes and any other any other franchise really so I mean that sounds fine I'd like to see other just something new something is not necessarily original but just something else every game is doing Tommy goats yeah so it'd be cool if we were just like weather effects how you can move and if a storm goes through if you don't get cover yeah so it's like the other area of effect comes on we have rounds we an idea so Frank went to go grab the drinks when you were playing with that and or something happened you're like leaving room for a second do you just put on auto room and Tyler myself and start we're like we're protecting you yeah this is this was the goal so Frank's just running I'd really mind if it was right on the left was a while being there like yeah yeah you wants to go grab like dinner or something on that real quick and fractions like running across like open field like we're like trying like push him around fences and stuff and just make sure that he stays alive and by the time he got back we were like next like another squad little hair real quick but you came back like the perfect time but I think we have like an escort game mode yeah really like that's really good for ya we're like they only have like a pistol or something or whatever that would be really cool they're like they only have one weapon slot and like a vest and a helmet but they can't carry any heavy weapons yeah yeah or like even if that person was a little tougher to kill because you can smack somebody you're pretty easily and that would end the game mode so maybe if the president was like a tougher person or had like better armor or something and they just need to get from one place to another place and you know drop in like normal have you know like a couple different compartmentalised teams maybe like 10 per team so like nine people in one president and then you have a bunch of those and like you're just trying to go different points and get like a score or something and then you just try to eliminate another team at the same time and if you eliminate as a team maybe you take their points that they've accumulated or something no there's a lot of ways we can go with this like with it being battle royale like it's yeah they can put him over come over they want as our work that would be sick I'm really excited to see what happens with these custom games that they'd have available and if it can be like you much steam working on sort of race as well with all the vehicles yeah I'm about it's like a look you only like version or that I can't actually get out of your vehicle you know we're just wanted and there are Adam Lewis first person service like it's my primarily third person we could split it in first person but now some people I guess are requesting it more they're doing like just first person should be interesting so it plays first person but it's so cool the only time I do is when I that's it yeah so definitely been a good time would you guys like you probably pick it up on counsel yeah I think so no I'm really into that kind of short form gaming yeah so even things like overwatch rocket League where you just hop into a match and then you can be done we're sometimes it takes a little bit more time like if you're planning something something like witcher fallout where you're invested in the story and there's a huge world if you don't play for a month you come back and you're like what was that yeah it's really easy to hop into the round of overwatch your pub G or League or something so yeah I'll definitely good awesome sweet so we were talking about before about e3 and one thing that I noticed we talked about too was there wasn't a lot of BR going on the day showcase any gains last year they were famous last year right at the Holland it was like my name in both cuz I think last year's like real like two years ago if I could kind of rough concept and last year like you really showed it off but there was absolutely nothing about the hololens this year that's disappointing because that thing looked awesome yeah not so much bigger that was more a allure yeah but still like they didn't show anything related to anything like that off now recently the oculus rift dropped from I believe was $600 for the risk itself and the to touch like touch pads whatever from 600 to 400 dollars and the vibe I believe was 800 jobs 600 it's in since those came out and what's funny the last time we did this podcast was the day I have pre-ordered the vibe and that's a tie like I was real pumped for I just tried it out at CES and when I first launched and stuff when I got it it was cool like mess around play a few games but think about it now I don't think I've played it in like over a year like I don't think I've hooked up my vibe since like I moved last year and I was like mess around with it playing like audio shield or something yeah but there's like an outside-in like new game them like showed off anything a lot of the games that they I did announce when BR was first coming out with like early access or it's coming up and either it's still like in that mode and I'm just putting it out and I feel like VR and a whole kind of died down for a bit know for sure like Sony's whole deal was the Morpheus live I'm at the SVR I'm sure there was some thing on the floor at e3 with the LV our little game or something there were no highlights yeah don't let me think you think of with Skyrim VR announced at e3 or was that that was was that so that the only thing pretty much against Carver was that even better wonder was that just like ego am i hairpin later general yes like what is like I said I needed one possibly yeah it would be like Skyrim and fallout for me yeah so that's pretty much it yeah like there's something new news are all games in a minute right and I'm Skyrim I don't know what else we could really do would be awesome or yeah because well I left the thing like it's still really open um have you guys played resin evil 7 on VR no I don't know okay possessive but a nightmare like it's sort of difficult sometimes but I really enjoyed playing me I didn't finish it I probably got like 70% through the game and only planning VR I never played on my TV Oh weird that was great this like that was I was talked about a good bit but I feel like it was pretty underrated for a a VR consultation like this it was awesome and there are a lot of different titles I could probably run with something like that but just aren't come to shame we can we can go fishing in Final Fantasy 15 but like that's like finding good ways to make that VR experience like an in-depth and immersive one like for a horror game where it's like it helps to actually like what do you think of one like you think of hard it's like looking behind you you don't act like you can't look behind you in a video game the same way because it's like it's that input control like what we're talking about earlier we're like you need some sort of mechanic that makes you feel like you are influencing the control spoon directly and if you are like scared to look behind you like and you actually have to do it like with your own eyes that's cool walking into rooms nice the whole first probably hour hour and a half depending on how quick you're going of Resident Evil 7 is still painful yeah it takes so long to get to the point that you're comfortable just walking forward yeah there there are so many points where I would just I was finding it with my girlfriend and my buddy and there were times where we had to like take off the headset and pass it to the next person to play it because you get to a room and we didn't know what was going to happen but it was just a dark room yeah and you just yeah the sound is so well designed and there you look in like I want going yeah it takes a long time eventually you do get when we're comfortable ready you kind of you know that this enemy is stuck over here or I just beat this guy but keeps probably not here yet and you feel a little more comfortable walking around but then they quickly destroy that yeah okay okay I think one thing with another the paranal like 2d game on Steam look I feel like if you could play with know that you can wear that demo alright like that with VR would be applo and same is the same satisfaction for it during the Taos you know going around because they adds that like boxing clothes in you're kind of trapped feeling which i think is great for other things like shooters and stuff I don't know I feel like I've even estimate go like you just get to look around a bit which is no different than you having that direct control as is like that's fine there's no element that it's putting you in like immersing you like other things I think it's cool it's like a like any sort of like space or like flight game I think that's kind of neat because you're in a space where again you're already enclosed you don't have to move or go anywhere like physically in the real world and then you're just like zoomed in on exactly what you're doing and you can have a direct impact though I'm like oh I can look around in my cockpit and like see what I got going on here like what's in there an x-wing like at a Arthur Andy's combat game or something like oh yeah there was a point I want it was like a start the Star Wars like VXR thing yeah yeah that was a little like Emma game you play except like first time you try that you were just like real and do it there's like a lot of stuff yeah yeah like that archery game yes yeah that's why yeah that was cool yeah no I haven't played any of the art stuff which is like I'm not like super interested in doing so guitar but the ones that I think would be cool are the ones were like you have my struggles like give me enough space like there's something at this one resort up where I live where they have this VR experience where there's a room and it's like big and it's open or whatever and you can interact with the real world but everything you see is just enjoys in that yo microphone over there so they have like some zombie game or whatever you can like survive against zombies but it's just a big open space you can couple people with headsets like on with the team but they can walk over to each other and just like interact with each other through a digital like window essentially that is that by creating maps on a physical environment yeah yeah so it's sort of adds that like AR plus VR element where but like you know the thing I think that helps with the headsets as it closes you in and it helps you forget about the outside world like AR you know you're still in the operatic world it's kind of like a glorified laser tag yeah yeah but I yeah cool yeah that's right chuckles like that's I think where it needs to go like if there was if they don't like a big warehouse and and like it was like decked out for like VR stuff and that was the experience that you did some other things behind videos like that yeah I guess the one thing with VR like like you said it's like the first time you try it out like it's just a unique cool experience I like you get kind of like okay I could really get into this but then like for me was I got it I looked okay there's limitations I've done this already I've done this already well now look see like that but the lab is something really cool I think we should even show you that because if you didn't try now because I was very skeptical as well I think that was me I was like like if you don't know I think all I was that's a scenario those little like games and like tricks like that where I can like interact and learn like a skill-based thing and in games you get that sort of like connection to the gameplay and that's why I love really tight controls so I can actually be like with like my body where I have more common great heart as my 805 do then it comes from naturally you never you ever stop and go oh how do I pick this up what Bundoora hit you just you just decide to do it yeah a good design that's pretty how it should be yes now you feel like we're like really stoked about stuff like we are right now yeah why is there nothing to play it's like there's not that much killer at like you know reign you have to play there's no kilo oh yeah it's like super high there's Gordon was that the big Coliseum fighter at I remember there's been a few that come out on Steam but it's just the big zombie wanna Arizona sunshine that's what I played at CES I liked it really got me in okay that was really cool that I just got released and again that was show like I played the demo that at CES 2016 and weird that was to CSS ago and like it just now came out recently I think that's amazing that kind of 100 it was not a lot of games rarely available when the launch right like you think that it's because it's still like expensive that it's like a little a little bit a the thing is kind of hard for me so like I know I can do it like a little up out is outside of everybody's like price range the price point yeses and that's why they're dropping alright okay okay can your tech but they fit like in a two years like when it's like really cheap like and its more common like but you need like the call of duty of VR never it would be like a thing that people want to be competitive with and act like it's still try play sales and enthusiasts based concepts and even through the astir like not over aware that that's ed or whatever yeah that's one of the things point is you interact with a space like I think that's where like I could see like VR arcades like arcades coming back to where like you don't like now you have to go somewhere to like a venue and play some stick as VR game that you can't get it home right does not ever been able to like afford one but you could just go and do something like triple-a titles like really I don't understand why they're not making things the Erica bad well I know like I'm not a developer nothing about like what it would take to make a game that Brett third-person easily the VR I know it's not as simple we just put the helmet on and you babies make it so you're right analog stick it's the head dirty I know you're not that simple yeah we know nothing about how to do any of that that's how I imagined it but I do it but like okay so we see Forza be announced for is definitely Xbox yeah yeah so what is it equivalent that's cross-platform gorgeous they give Gran Turismo that's family like any but now I'm not like with already asked for thing ok perfect car I'll be like that for PC okay so like formula when the new one comes out sorry I like safe words that comes out and it was for PlayStation yeah do you think they would support it and third-person VR cuz I think you should they just put out they try to do that first-person a lot of like horrifies diverse players they okay it they would ya probably first now be cool use really like a driving thing and you could actually like vote or you getting I think malaria games like fungal is wanna blaze I think that was one of those shows that'd be cool I played that yeah I'd absolutely play that even like Star Wars like the out front you can plan that one way honor if you're playing that first person that would be saying how great would that be aboard to be a little lower resolution rendering to be whatever like if you're that close to exactly that's the thing what are okay so you work with VR tech lab what is like a generic like quality spec that you need one for computer into like resolution and output like how good how do that work I work primarily with VR video okay so totally different than what you would need to run a VR game wellness gotcha all pre-rendered essential is what you get correct okay so I can't really answer that completely alright but like say for a normal video that you're then going to watch on a by for an oculus or on a gear VR whatever your platform is like we try to render out we can render out anywhere the lowest that we'll ever under how is for your into six 2048 well then we'll go up to like 12k Wow money so and that could squeeze down into yet those show five forms obviously like a 12 K video you're not going to throw on your Samsung phone watch it here we are I just won't run and that I mean you've got a 4k video hardly runs on the older phones now why is it 12 K what so is that I know is that big that you can you don't need to either people who do like 16 K videos so the more shooting 4k you're getting 48 K okay obviously there's some overlaps you're probably only getting like through the 8k 40 K so what's the viewing portal then of whatever's in front of you in that video like I understand the whole video that depends on the headset so it's probably it's not quite 180 degrees you don't have peripheral vision right so it's probably 140 okay okay and then so whatever that resolution in front of you as long as it videos Chris right now well you could also change that like if you're viewing on it we're getting into like weird stuff next yeah yeah so it depends on the headset but like even if you produce a video that's whatever 12 K app after you can press it down be still in a higher resolution there's nothing sorry I don't know there's nothing to do that on right so 4k is kind of what everything's being okay explain at okay but none of the headsets actually display have a 4k real 4k on okay it was up to have you try it out it was very cool thank you with it do that say idea like we already this awesome studio space where John works but we have like all the stuff over there and three six now the one thing that you kind of mentioned it before it was a what yeah we all start laughing so I couldn't hold it out because I the annoying thing was actually putting on the head today like enthusiast and I got a for people who do want to play games they want like to hang out at red light and relax that's one of the big like a noises like when I go to set it up I don't want to episode man like sometimes up great leader like updates and light boxes yeah put this thing on make sure like the cables aren't like getting in the way make sure like the hood the controllers are all charged up like by the time you do all that in just like right now man here I smell like yeah I'm like a black yeah that's funny no everything like we go we when you're like chillin at home you like Netflix family whatever you're like hanging out relaxing you're at home when you're like I'm gonna go to a movie you're like you're now making the day like an event you know so I think that's why I think like if V are places showed up that'd be cool but it's the same concept like you know people don't want to put it like if you just yeah just try and relax you're not going to go through all this extra hassle which is why I think the please the PlayStation one is like the easiest to set up right they've probably executed is the best it's the mess if that money is being easiest to set up because you don't have here like room sensors and there are actually hand controls you can set up and stuff but there's like a ton of loop cable you get separate boxes along with the headset and okay some of the cables have to be plugging the front of the PlayStation cuz you need USB ports and there aren't enough on the back of the PlayStation so it's it's still not great gotcha gotcha damn that's a bummer look at them they can get rid of like I hate wires like Oh like you know we have our set here and like these wires I hate wire you can't see him Oh what they're here and it drives me nuts because one like fallen over stuff and if you have to interact like a 3d space like if you're like attached to something like that's never fun so if that could make if they can find a way to make them Wireless which would kill resolution because you through put all that data to monitor or whatever I think that could be a solution right probably going too far from them kind of oh I know MSI makes like a vr gaming backpack kind of thing with their laptops or it's all plugged in to the laptop and it just like goes in this like kind of backpack strap anywhere so again - so now you're we're not like 2% is going to port them like that and simple for like vibra oculus to you in their box to throw in a little you know like the GoPro clips and mountains and they all come with like the little sticky things you can stick them on the ceiling kind of right here Owen dead oh yeah I don't know why they don't just like put a little sticky with little hook so then you can tether your quarters yeah you're feeling like what if the whole solution just doesn't doesn't happen okay look cool stuff hopefully kind of a prank on more a little bit interested you'll like justice does I know like what it could the experience is really different yeah like assume you're talking about time you're hanging out like there hasn't been anything that made me feel excited about technology in games and we're amount of time like I remember buying like you know when the first like good graphics game on a 360 camera or like even n64 you're like holy it looks so real like like it was just like mind-blowing you know but like nothing makes me feel that way anymore side new adding on to that I just looked up the other day the time that we got n64 when they came out between the time that we got 360s when they came out is less than 10 years yeah really yeah think about what we got in the last 10 years like nothing we got one doneck stocks one yeah 360 was already out that's the only Amelia textbox1 which is really just an upgraded and conscious difference so much more incremental but putting on the HTC vive and playing it like I had that feeling of being like wow this is something new while I have never played it again champ back there like it was still it like made me really excited about whatever that future was okay something has it just it's still just too complex I'm yeah yeah hey you're Stephanie that's like right now if you're not actually I go yeah I'm into it I'll see ya come on be fun it was just still like not a lot of games coming out we need to make me like the III dozen - I'm really too excited for but um and we could remember any videos videos writing over - like we've been around for well no it's nothing like fresh to us like we've kind of seen the formula at a qualifier we are now analytically talking about video games as adults like will be 25 in like two months oh no that still feeling like 17 especially when you so yeah okay 25 goddamn video games all day yeah I had a point to go along with that what's cooking right now dad Alan oh it's just weird it could be able to age more like we're not like I think another big thing it's like the whole talk about a few podcast ago II is like the whole with the word like nostalgia goggles yeah if we think back to how good games were low go back and play it and going for like a blinging to the skyrim on the 360 is a huge craft with difference yeah if you were to go back now look at oblivion is like this is horrible yeah now the way I'm going back live here again I had a correlate employer yeah we are going to go to older we're not like as in all I'm asking can they come out yeah maybe we played a lot over the years but we I don't you got me in the gaming back in like ps1 we first started hanging out at the time I have a good I think an n64 but like it wasn't anything we put raising we played a lot of play lot feasts at first yet like some Spyro so back in those days circuit breakers oh yeah well then like once like PS you can now go to the club or FIFA lots of long game zoom to look here that for a while but so thank like looking at it when we look forward to a game we're not like that young like oh hopeful is you lookin very cool would be great it's like now it's like you know what this developer needs to do in order to make this thing work the like critically I want like story experiences like I play a lot of any game that indie game is now like I told you this I heard like a beginner's guide like a little bit ago I didn't tell you guys exactly Rama Aaron so you read my yeah but like that was just like totally different it was like a totally different experience and it was great I had such a good time I just like put headphones in just played it with an hour long like a movie and I'm like this it is very good where's like when I want a shooters coming out and like I played shooters you know like I know like it might feel like like destiny to like the things you're talking about we're so miniscule like it's balanced a little better if you ever find it yeah and like it real like that level like when you're invested it matters when you're not invested you'll pay which I'm not invested as much anymore yeah like I kind of want that Wow but no one is no one's going to come out of destiny - would be like that campaign was incredible no it's gonna do no yeah I don't think you will they definitely have a clearer bad guy like there's definitely like the more western style of storytelling now with which we have a hero and a villain but it's still it can still be feel fun and it can still be like a good time I'm like I'll play and I'll probably like that like in raids and doing all that figure in that outfit like when you do it the first time is always an adventure is fun it's satisfying when you're at the end and then when you're done you're like cool how does that get better and they have like the hard core and the challenge modes and like then you do that you get tired of it cool because you do things and it's not new anymore and then yet now you're just doing it to earn rewards which is always nice to have a goal in mind - but from yeah like for storytelling where when are they gonna bring that was like oh let's play this story again like every time you reroll a character when I upload story missions no and yeah one game actually I'm looking forward trying to think about it doesn't the job of the story is read dead oh they are not pushed back again well I mean that that should be fun yeah I know Far Cry 5 the whole thing with that was like once like right they got announced and far cry for like a little teaser out so they can like this western world kind of thing like kind of copying it but like in their own Far Cry kind of West yes well rid that's definitely gonna be no it's not going to modern where it's right ready yeah I think it was more like a cult based - like in my pan or whatever it is if one beam I would love to see and wishes this is what Far Cry did instead of the whole like cult thing was like if they could make an adaption like West world into game ooh I think that would be says essentially Assassin's Creed one cut yeah but like oh if they can pull it off like Red Dead but instead of like there was no like three little like you always played though as that like for Assassin's Creed you always played as like everything that was in the animus and then for anything that was like outside if there was a way that you can like blend that or like everybody's always wanted like you Ekans creepy like end up landing in like a modern era with assassins and like you know jumping through the city like you knows Ed's or something like that that's cool it just kind of never happened I think the closest they kind of got to it was syndicate we're like just the world itself is like a more modern than you know setting and I didn't play that one because we won before it was awful because I was so pleased our Dom but having yeah having these like really unique environments I think helps with the storytelling of the game the name is also something that you're interacting with and you need that to be just as compelling as narrative so right that's right that should be cool I'm looking forward to that in terms of video game since we pretty much talked about a lot of things nailed it I got one question well this is this is the I don't get game a portion one thing I saw while I was over at r-tx in Austin was I'm who's actually there but so the whole thing was halos here halo 3 backwards-compatible you can now just pop your disc right into your xbox and play Halo 3 oh yeah why is that appealing to anybody I don't know it's not as we have like super master they just put out the remaster that everyone had to drop like 70 bucks on where you can play Halo 3 remastered yeah now they're just like oh you can play me table 3 it's gonna look real but it's backwards compatible so you can just use your old discs yeah what I'm saying I don't know I guess it's for people that haven't bought message collection but still have all the games so if you like all those games but if you haven't bought like Master Chief collection because I was like one of the games came out like earlier in the lifecycle of an exhibit Moreland you probably see yeah you probably don't have an Xbox one so I don't know it is really really wild about it they people were waiting online to play Halo 3 don't like the halo 3 did an Xbox one that's weird that's just really weird a couple of in it complete like these are all the people who definitely more than likely bought the Master Chief collection and we're playing Halo 3 at home he'll do it was just like okay oh three again maybe like it's like there's nothing to stall Jeff a believer yes got the re-release of Halo 3 how old are these people in that line really between 1825 okay so kind of orange for probably a little maybe a little more young like really like I can understand us going somewhere minute oh it's you still have an old like Super Nintendo that works you could just play that we're back to square one do you think we'll get like a Nintendo Wii classic additions I guess we're almost there I like that's Nikki bays I wasn't really big into the first game I didn't play it all too much and that was like when the story modes just kind of blessed yeah I know that a lot like VLC and stuff that came out that kind of like made that better so it fixed a lot of just like the core content issues of what made the game like way too time-consuming with like no return on your investment really frustrating and especially like Frank you're in college at the time yeah it came out your senior deal at senior year so I played it like the first week and we all right look cool but they acid ends like the cement you started picking up and I kind of played it last and then I just kind of fell out of it the story mode in tabouli like grass me now yeah to keep up with it in year one for like an economic standpoint of the game it was just not bullying this books not I had have been do it only for a little while I think I played I quit before the first expansion came out which moves I've taken King or first expansion was three months and if we're talking about like the serial expansion yeah yeah that was was in the first year so yeah if you stopped playing within the first three months your two things got a lot better that was when the taken King came out and that was like the big like year long like it's actually pretty much every core content issue from a gameplay standpoint still not you know narrative really strong but it was pretty damn cool and then year three they went in did the whole house of wolves or not how suppose I'm sorry the iron banner based when I think of the name right now but that was really cool too and they added more subclasses and such nice was that your three to I don't know it's all blended together it's like just soup cans destiny toys the question of the beta because I just came out I know we all play the astronaut debt and uh it looks pretty it it all agree on that it's very good but in terms of like repenting that idea if there was like shaking things up again need to change it too much they want to like you know stick to their roots but um I don't know if it's because I played a lot of this is the face I was so pumped for destiny when it came out and I played it and I was like at because that summer before I played a lot of Mass Effect right I was really pumped for Mass Effect Andromeda played it that was like a destiny games I was so pumped for reminding each other but it's just like like I feel familiar yeah something the beta came out I played it I felt like it was okay but that's just me yeah aside from being like completely different style games first person third person adventure subpar MMO the and like the gameplay between the aesthetic is where they kind of like merge visually and that's like you know where I can understand you get that kind of like lit out of the two games where I hope they go with it story-wise is a little more direct into the explanation of now this world that you've lived in for three years and expand on that and actually make it like a cohesive like living element that you can enjoy because if you're not if you're not connected to the world you're not going to want to play and explore and do all that but you're probably more inclined to if you played the game more first a couple years ago I also excited for it and you know I've been invested in that but for yourself like what do you think like do you have any like late for it or you hopeful wife right now no no I I agree but um I mean like if my friends pick it up you know everyone's playing it maybe I'll I'll hop on try it out lately I gotta you guys please like to get it for a while that's seem cool yeah which is like when I played everyone else was like playing online all the time like free before a so I know like I played what you can do gives you time to learn it involves like I'm going to destroy you guys are carrying everything all the environmental stuff that you do like the like PvE elements that's something you need to like try to like keep up with and if you didn't complete all the story missions and do all the other content is really hard to like be on par but you can jump into like any crucible match that wasn't competitive and still hold your own because of just how the balance was know which was the other thing about the destiny to beta that I feel they took way too far in the opposite direction from the players if I have not played the beta yet okay okay so what kind of gameplay do you even touch upon in the beta it is a PvE any ve you get strength so it opens up with a story machine that kind of introduces you to what's going on and shows you the main villain and sets up basically I guess the goals of what you're trying to do you'll see it if you play it through the download at the moment then you have like a quick play control goon site which is similar and familiar with some minor changes a competitive game type which is more like a search-and-destroy plus elimination from like Call of Duty like economy see like one team us to go plant a bomb and you have two options to go to and then the other thing you can do is you can do a strike okay cool yes so my big concern with the destiny 2 is kind of you're saying that all the mechanics are really tired of course because they always have been oh yeah my biggest concern is everything that kind of ties the different game types together right so PvP was always great the strikes were always really good the story missions are okay they're all kind of just run straight and shoot yeah there's a stronger enemy at the end of it yeah so there's no depth really in there but everything is tied together by going to planet running through an empty planet to a point where exactly your rail shooters started yeah so I think really expand on making an open-world yeah that's well if you had mentioned how instead of having instances for each planet or like each social zone yeah it just it's one seamless thing so I suddenly you're on earth somewhere and you just walk into the social space and all of a sudden there's not much fun to play there and kanuk by things when you want to shoot yeah you know more like an MMO like wow or something I said actually that would be a really cool world thing for them technically still keep fast travel for sure is okay to want to and that's that's been like every like that's just like a time management like efficiency thing that should be in pretty much every game but if you it does be that connection where you could go from one zone to another you know with the exception that maybe planet because it makes sense to fly in a spaceship and go somewhere but like just yeah on earth if you're just an open area and there's stuff to do and there's different camps like you get a question with somebody and you actually go out into the world and do it as opposed to just click on a mission or something I think that would really make it feel like the place is more living as opposed to occupied for sure so that's a that's yeah it comes out soon though it looks weird on September 10 / 9 I believe 2017 so the game is done yeah favorite logical they just need you if you do for the competitive stuff it feels just like the multiplayer gameplay is slower like significantly slower pace they're focusing on more the squad element I guess again we're like a team play like focus firing so similar to how like like a halo 3 or like something like that would play where you know you team fire guy down he's pretty much done but if you want you want someone's going to take a bit of time so if you get outnumbered there isn't going to be any more of that oh let me run over and like shotgun this guy and then spin around pulse rifle another dude and it's they've taken the balance to like auto rifles are like specific to their class and what they beat within range and the trade-offs and like Rock Paper Scissors are saying they have gone on through the various weapons I think is in a good spot just the time to kill solo at least for me I don't know I like the quicker gameplay to some other region and destiny like other health packs are there um so yeah like you have you have a shield like okay now like standard and then you have your health regen but like all the cooldowns are really slow like Billy you're playing the beta and you did the first mission to the locators try this and when you see your grenade you like didn't come back three minutes for it to come back or that's what felt like it stuff like yeah and for long yeah you picked up like eight super orbs which would like straight up give you your super in the first game and he'd like a third of his bar right there and it was like wow that was kind of whatever and they showed a lot of gameplay off at e3 which mean we were all like texting like live during it it's up and getting like reactions as someone who looks like kind of shifting away from playing a lot of games like what did you think of it did anything like get your attention that make you interesting of e3 yes up up and you met your game looked really cool just kind of a really so that was I thought that was cool game I don't know if that was actually game play was hard to tell I think it's half and half yeah so I thought that was cool but I'd like to see some like real gameplay like really being hyped on that's one thing he 3 is into risk for like they say gameplay alway like yeah it's never rendered in a stuff um man I can't remember what else was it said I remember that was cool um one game from I think was a Bioware where was like it kind of in remind me of destiny but like you like you're like primarily previews where your big guy oh man you know that's all that's a beer yeah I don't know what studios you might forget but that looks really cool do under the name right now via that that's one thing that because they were showing that off when they announced the Xbox one the day fox x XX monix yeah right close Scorpio I think for me because it was the new council reveal year I was looking for like really visually impressive games and only two were like Metro and that one I feel like there were a lot of like indie titles like what the pirate one my old tires or something as a dynamic one yeah which actually he's done yeah yeah just kind of fun but in terms of like power I was like yeah I've shown up a new consoles you were well but um right man I can't remember anymore I mean that I mean that could have shows Alex man power yeah I felt same like there was very few titles I mean even with like you said the Xbox in 1x reveal they showed off like two or three like main Gainesville's attic Triple A games and I rest your F like hour and a half is all like indie games yeah like if you're showing off this new powerful console like show it off in like ways where we can like it compress by don't show all things that can be run on a 360 and I feel like a lot of the games there like we were saying back port like this looks like it could be Rana 360 right yeah it looks worse than that some of the games but again that's kind of like they're from foremost indie games they're not going for graphics and so yeah they usually usually an indie game has some sort of like art style that they're trying to achieve in these and pulling that off well and I think where they their strong suit and that is that stylistic behavior and like cult following that those games end up like having like a game I'm trying to play at Ivan place yeah like Ori and the blind forest like any of those like Ubisoft like art framework games are awesome I look they just love the aesthetic of it and the sharpness the the the range of color that's all I love that like it makes you feel like you are now immersed this is very worried but I can't over the name of this one it's so much but now that you're mentioning like the colors in the art style there was one game where it's like this pixel art but the colors are we I don't know the name of that and the animations looked really cool loads during the Xbox conference yeah it's like some sort of like futuristic sci-fi side-scrolling like you know things are being left that is like number one on my list Lia because of the art style was so unique I think that's what we see now more so with with the games in general is just the the composition of what's happening on screen has gotten a lot better but is fuller or more filled because you look back like 360 games here's you like Call of Duty 4 even like that felt like it had like a lot of stuff happening going on screen but even if you want modern warfare 2 or like any one of the newer called ease that's come out the maps like they're way more dense to do stuff alia people were like all fallout 3 feels so barren and like wasteful and that works on like a three you can make that happen on a 360 that's fine and that's why I probably fallout 4 they like held off to tell that Boston storyline until later yeah Boston to the city it's really dense so that Mac didn't feel big it just felt fallout 4 felt told me know which I thought was kind of cool because you could go through these not some guys papers and then come out the top and you're like good see the whole city is like that's cool man that was that's fun for me and I think that's what the power of evening consoles is getting is you're not only just spreading out and feeling that world but now you're like lifting it up and giving it physically more debt one thing that really impressed me in terms of the Xbox one ex was the price point like five hundred dollars for that right yes that's pretty good okay ready if you're looking at building a PC that can run 4k 60fps like it says they can do and a lot of that it's not like true 4k right but if you want to know something comparable you're looking at around like 650 and up yeah and everyone in the past is been like console fashion because you can build like a crazy PC for half the price of the console but now it's starting to catch up riggan the whole thing with it's not being like a true 4k yeah this kind of like a great space there because with graphics cards I was you can also do that but even that was it the whole this is whole thing going on kind of slowing down now but there was this one like mineral mining thing going on with Crassus cards where prices were skyrocketing like to $300 like aftermarket increase so I mean now you can still kind of build a comparable PC to around like like I said like round 700 but the fact that I can pull that off in this small form-factor for 500 bucks that makes pretty impressive that's for sweet now again the game they showed after that was Forza Motorsport yes not open-world game right so yes it can probably do that this close in math they have a little track and stuff and the thing is yes again with the PC you can probably do that but I doubt it's going to run the Xbox one X going to run 60 frames consistently right so again you can do that with a PC if you're different like 48 every now and then or something so as of right now is still really early there are specs out there but until you have it and you can see what's going on a lot of gray area but the price is still pretty good and that's that's the thing about like console versus PC that I've always still had a console for one is tons of games of your unit but from a performance standpoint it is a machine that is dedicated to doing one specific job and that is gaming yeah so that whole operating system the engines that they use and everything is built around this consistent hardware spec and you can pull more out of that if you're an engineer and if an you know software developer and such you can make that work like that's how you know the 360 lasted for like 10 years you know and still brought like really awesome titles if you look at early 360 games and then where they ended up and what they did with that console was impressive you know every couple of years now you know a PC gamers like oh you know this isn't running let me get the new 1080 or whatever and they'll go up to you like the flagship card and you kind of like need that but if you want that consistent performance all the time like you're looking at like if you're on the Nvidia side of things you're looking at like a like a 60 suffix number and like forward so thank you like at a 60 70 or 80 whether you're that 9 series 10 series above whatever they have next year to get that level of performance no so and then of course they tell the Buzzard numbers out at you but it's like if you do it like floating point operations like getting like 6 million or it's like six teraflops or something really I don't even know what a kpop is yeah so a flop is floating-point operation which means like how much 3d like elements they can have ruffles is rough I don't exactly know islet of an idea so just means how much stuff you can render live on screen okay and you know terror is whatever how many commas and yeah so that is comparable to like a 980 you know which is pretty sweet to throw into a console because those usually come in like a budget spec which last year of like in a year old card yeah last year we Manning so kind of relevant and that it solved the graphics card we're running for like 500 bucks you know the graphics card so yeah yeah but doing some good things I'll probably pick it up because in a little a do you guys plan on buying it oh yes oh yes I can yeah absolutely probably I just okay I didn't have a channel probably not because there's no like need for me right now to do and I'm making a lot more PC games lately yeah like just for like maybe like a first look at unboxing kind of video or something I probably will but um it's not like okay I'm not only even pump work yeah every channel I'm not going to get it yeah I probably won't care about my xbox one s yeah and that can do fortune okay oh there's still it up scales and the HDR whatever they put a bunch of lusts on it to miss your game look nice so I'm fine with that our any upscale looks great but I was comparing I know they're different consoles but I was comparing The Witcher 3 on a 4k display on the Xbox one s versus the ps4 Pro the ps4 pros kind of the equivalent of the Xbox one x yes nearly identical of course the pro looked better but you would not notice unless you set them up next Yeah right which i think is a testament to like just like display technology in general I just bought a 4k monitor recently during Prime today actually we're talking about that and that thing is beautiful I'm never going back like yeah just having you know I've been reading a Lex box one and I was like I wonder what this is gonna look like plug it in try it start playing what the hell is I plan million hearts or whatever which is another you know Ubisoft art framework game I have a backlog games I gotta be but like that look great like the upscale whatever the monitors doing or whatever the system is doing to push that up looks good you know it looks good there's nothing to complain about there especially like if you can reduce performance hit like aliasing just because you have all of this resolution now and then squeeze that down you guys know wasn't any a what for like 60 no no no I know you I mean I've got one you can promise to like tribute the soundtrack so like oh yeah won't be looking cute today Italy and then escape came out and like mm like seven of 2008 and it's just destroyed coming off in that just the idea of having controls that weren't like the arcade specials where you're like doing thing and action happened it was like you need like you are now controlling what your feet do like in a very intuitive way and I think that's another like turning point in gaming in general where controls started becoming like really cool like more immersive into what your characters doing like Dark Souls I think does that really well it still has that like sort of arcade element but you know when you bring up your shield like you're holding your shoe in the sky like Skyrim all these sort of things works like it's more direct you're not just like this is like giving a command rectly includes your trick yes and it's like would you pull something cool off like you feel like you feel good but I felt good even just doing like kick tips yeah like it's like man I did a crime like I dated like a no slap on your mind they ended up so felt like jump prep a to John press Y to grind jump off again you're doing that with your thumb stick yeah it was really cool fantastic I remember when that the demo came out is date and it was just what you had that one skatepark I would play for hours and hours and I would just literally like make lines I'm doing like cry going the pool and bluegrass like it was like not even insane stuff like Tony Hawk Eagle Eye you're like double program every day to keep those cones are manually it doesn't matter yet well like yeah I don't know it just don't like yeah yeah awesome question II of that game was like a whole new level of like this is the skateboarding game move this is great man like just going back like obviously skate three things well because goods I remembered but still looks alright I like how like the camera was like kind of like back and behind you like you it's like being filmed just cool yeah it's a little angle station and one thing skate 3 did really well was like integrate the world like it's pretty much an open world even like go to the different spots and they have like a team where you can like either hand my side like the computer made ones or you can like make your own friends and put them in and call up your team like you skate around you can have them like just as AI just skating around like the natural world with you which is really cool I love stuff like that and that was a great thing what would you like as a scape for if it were to happen honestly there's not much about skate 3 I didn't like it because they just like I mean the first two are really good because like it was like the first integration of it and it was like to dissolve it to it but 3 I think is what really at the same time it also kind of made it a little bit more crazy to the whole a column each thing you can like break all your bones go yeah pulling for it but of it like bad side tons of funny Internet I was always begging like creative parks and stuff and like they have that in k3 and you can go and like unlock different parks and stuff once you like sell a certain amount of boards just like you're like money and stuff you know that you can make like your own skate videos we like put like take pictures and stuff and have them actually as and in the game nice one thing is really cool in like when you're riding around you can like get off your board and you could move around certain objects in the world to like make your own sort of like line up and they have like a thing where would you like be going to lock more objects to put in like rails benches stuff like that you can like just make your own sort of like whole little line in this world you're running around yeah it's I don't know it's still like lisanna bazaars if you can like to have the d-pad is like animations you can do you can just get off your board and like like flap your arms like running the traffic and stuff that people like that's like funny though like sandbox kind of yeah feel but like you're you're involving yourself with the world yeah like in an authentic way as opposed to just like giving something command I think that's a bit like the strong suit of I think that's what VR kind of tries to do in a way but just more visually and not actually with like good solid game playing controls which i think is where games need to really focus now you know you know that's another thing that was not at e3 VR know VR yeah I do want to touch on that more towards the end so that's one thing that well that's a real because yet but this real quick going back skate for like if they could just honestly polish up like a variable on the world of the brain even grown-ups don't understand what I have in me they have such an occasion to be abased I wiped out on the franchise yeah millions of sales if each of the first three I'm like like multi-million selling well I don't know what this all you know but I felt like Tony Hawk suffered yes because of it like then you guys kind of disappeared I mean actually it's the same like like why no half-life 3 yeah yeah like that was like in winners game I have like two you know exciting huge so I Haley just looks he making it doesn't have incentives to make it but I think I'm like EA I like or known for putting out like these cookie cutter yeah but like still like release title W as it's great items because they're big in the scores it's like that yeah and again yes while its keyboarding see has died fanbase and still is so strong I reckon it will do so well you'll see people like asking that like the whole like yeah why not skate for like pops up not as much as like like the half like argument or like you know what are we getting like portal three or some like not that level but it's there so there's no demand yeah like those are I don't know if it's like those are fighting not really the environments like I wish they had more environmental stuff that videos it's not really access like I think it launched in like March or something and it's supposed to be fully done by believe like November but like for an early access game like it is very polished like better than my with a lot of games on PCs that are just release and are a lot of cellular crappy a lot of other earlier access games like yeah definitely problems women yeah and early access really turned me off for a while but then like once every start talking about and left I started seeing what another game don't use your bike this but in this game like I will camp out for a bit I'll high in the bush for 20 mins I have maximum like been very is probably how as we bind at playing yeah if you value your times like you don't want to get all this cool gear and like it shoppings like behind and it's click on left if only it's nothing you did wrong yeah sometimes they're having many people running around for a bit and one of the rules in the game is no team killer and it would have built into the game or no it's just like a moral okay rule though yeah and they found like a little motorcycle for the side car so you could pick three in it which would left one guy out so he's just like me on stream that I were just like killed him to be like point and I guess one of the devs was watching and the second that game was over they banned him wow this is a guy in who has every time he streams like 25,000 people watching probably responsible for a good portion other sales you not say not directly you can't like get in maligore's is his income yeah exactly but you got flex you buy other stuff but like for the past like months waiting some screaming 20,000 each time whatever and so you got banned after that he's managed to feel like a different account but the the player unknown like the main bed like it on Twitter and stuff you went on and said like regardless of who you are like not calling the rules like you're going to bad time pretty much so like he band and stuff and II replied back saying like usually I just like correct like could I kick you in the face like I try to high kick you in the face as I can I was like kicking the chick and then the developer like obviously he's just like playing part of that character and he's like well responded like I don't care really take it far he didn't take it any farther than this guy did right by me like just go to Valley I'm just maybe the story is true but like obviously reading a tweet from a guy like trigger this anxiety attack or you're like oh my god they just take me to resort that kind of thing I feel like he should have had it himself like he can say like yo don't threaten me yeah somebody's fine I think the only reason it's blown that way is because the streamer had 25,000 people backing him yeah yeah today Bama sues the countless fans it was like a three day band his new account that he made was like glass door or something like that so those threes wanting this last duel sad about them so you know that like when you continue to play into it whether it like your persona or not now you're now you're ticket who we got a ring or so now you're starting to border on like like play the persona and like do something along those lines but it's like if you start tying it back in to like why you're mad personally outside your character then I think youyou you're on the line we watch a little bit um last night I'm like yeah I don't like account of my characters employees I don't like I think it's ridiculous yeah and you're into that like you kind of like that outlandish sense of humor sometimes yeah no no but goodness is just weird again I'd like to play it I don't have a PC to game on so kind to be possible we get the chicken dinner at zombie uh maybe later today like on video zombie and if you Childress those players that be wild yeah oh can be just like zombies managed something like that but yeah yeah I think that'd be kind of neat and that way you don't have to like exit the game you could still stay in the game if you wanted to but just give the plays as well like as a hobby like infection game modes and any other any other franchise really so I mean that sounds fine I'd like to see other just something new something is not necessarily original but just something else every game is doing Tommy goats yeah so it'd be cool if we were just like weather effects how you can move and if a storm goes through if you don't get cover yeah so it's like the other area of effect comes on we have rounds we an idea so Frank went to go grab the drinks when you were playing with that and or something happened you're like leaving room for a second do you just put on auto room and Tyler myself and start we're like we're protecting you yeah this is this was the goal so Frank's just running I'd really mind if it was right on the left was a while being there like yeah yeah you like that's really good for ya we're like they only have like a pistol or something or whatever that would be really cool they're like they only have one weapon slot and like a vest and a helmet but they can't carry any heavy weapons yeah yeah or like even if that person was a little tougher to kill because you can smack somebody you're pretty easily and that would end the game mode so maybe if the president was like a tougher person or had like better armor or something and they just need to get from one place to another place and you know drop in like normal have you know like a couple different compartmentalised teams maybe like 10 per team so like nine people in one president and then you have a bunch of those and like you're just trying to go different points and get like a score or something and then you just try to eliminate another team at the same time and if you eliminate as a team maybe you take their points that they've accumulated or something no there's a lot of ways we can go with this like with it being battle royale like it's yeah they can put him over come over they want as our work that would be sick I'm really excited to see what happens with these custom games that they'd have available and if it can be like you much steam working on sort of race as well with all the vehicles yeah I'm about it's like a look you only like version or that I can't actually get out of your vehicle you know we're just wanted and there are Adam Lewis first person service like it's my primarily third person we could split it in first person but now some people I guess are requesting it more they're doing like just first person should be interesting so it plays first person but it's so cool the only time I do is when I that's it yeah so definitely been a good time would you guys like you probably pick it up on counsel yeah I think so no I'm really into that kind of short form gaming yeah so even things like overwatch rocket League where you just hop into a match and then you can be done we're sometimes it takes a little bit more time like if you're planning something something like witcher fallout where you're invested in the story and there's a huge world if you don't play for a month you come back and you're like what was that yeah it's really easy to hop into the round of overwatch your pub G or League or something so yeah I'll definitely good awesome sweet so we were talking about before about e3 and one thing that I noticed we talked about too was there wasn't a lot of BR going on the day showcase any gains last year they were famous last year right at the Holland it was like my name in both cuz I think last year's like real like two years ago if I could kind of rough concept and last year like you really showed it off but there was absolutely nothing about the hololens this year that's disappointing because that thing looked awesome yeah not so much bigger that was more a allure yeah but still like they didn't show anything related to anything like that off now recently the oculus rift dropped from I believe was $600 for the risk itself and the to touch like touch pads whatever from 600 to 400 dollars and the vibe I believe was 800 jobs 600 it's in since those came out and what's funny the last time we did this podcast was the day I have pre-ordered the vibe and that's a tie like I was real pumped for I just tried it out at CES and when I first launched and stuff when I got it it was cool like mess around play a few games but think about it now I don't think I've played it in like over a year like I don't think I've hooked up my vibe since like I moved last year and I was like mess around with it playing like audio shield or something yeah but there's like an outside-in like new game them like showed off anything a lot of the games that they I did announce when BR was first coming out with like early access or it's coming up and either it's still like in that mode and I'm just putting it out and I feel like VR and a whole kind of died down for a bit know for sure like Sony's whole deal was the Morpheus live I'm at the SVR I'm sure there was some thing on the floor at e3 with the LV our little game or something there were no highlights yeah don't let me think you think of with Skyrim VR announced at e3 or was that that was was that so that the only thing pretty much against Carver was that even better wonder was that just like ego am i hairpin later general yes like what is like I said I needed one possibly yeah it would be like Skyrim and fallout for me yeah so that's pretty much it yeah like there's something new news are all games in a minute right and I'm Skyrim I don't know what else we could really do would be awesome or yeah because well I left the thing like it's still really open um have you guys played resin evil 7 on VR no I don't know okay possessive but a nightmare like it's sort of difficult sometimes but I really enjoyed playing me I didn't finish it I probably got like 70% through the game and only planning VR I never played on my TV Oh weird that was great this like that was I was talked about a good bit but I feel like it was pretty underrated for a a VR consultation like this it was awesome and there are a lot of different titles I could probably run with something like that but just aren't come to shame we can we can go fishing in Final Fantasy 15 but like that's like finding good ways to make that VR experience like an in-depth and immersive one like for a horror game where it's like it helps to actually like what do you think of one like you think of hard it's like looking behind you you don't act like you can't look behind you in a video game the same way because it's like it's that input control like what we're talking about earlier we're like you need some sort of mechanic that makes you feel like you are influencing the control spoon directly and if you are like scared to look behind you like and you actually have to do it like with your own eyes that's cool walking into rooms nice the whole first probably hour hour and a half depending on how quick you're going of Resident Evil 7 is still painful yeah it takes so long to get to the point that you're comfortable just walking forward yeah there there are so many points where I would just I was finding it with my girlfriend and my buddy and there were times where we had to like take off the headset and pass it to the next person to play it because you get to a room and we didn't know what was going to happen but it was just a dark room yeah and you just yeah the sound is so well designed and there you look in like I want going yeah it takes a long time eventually you do get when we're comfortable ready you kind of you know that this enemy is stuck over here or I just beat this guy but keeps probably not here yet and you feel a little more comfortable walking around but then they quickly destroy that yeah okay okay I think one thing with another the paranal like 2d game on Steam look I feel like if you could play with know that you can wear that demo alright like that with VR would be applo and same is the same satisfaction for it during the Taos you know going around because they adds that like boxing clothes in you're kind of trapped feeling which i think is great for other things like shooters and stuff I don't know I feel like I've even estimate go like you just get to look around a bit which is no different than you having that direct control as is like that's fine there's no element that it's putting you in like immersing you like other things I think it's cool it's like a like any sort of like space or like flight game I think that's kind of neat because you're in a space where again you're already enclosed you don't have to move or go anywhere like physically in the real world and then you're just like zoomed in on exactly what you're doing and you can have a direct impact though I'm like oh I can look around in my cockpit and like see what I got going on here like what's in there an x-wing like at a Arthur Andy's combat game or something like oh yeah there was a point I want it was like a start the Star Wars like VXR thing yeah yeah that was a little like Emma game you play except like first time you try that you were just like real and do it there's like a lot of stuff yeah yeah like that archery game yes yeah that's why yeah that was cool yeah no I haven't played any of the art stuff which is like I'm not like super interested in doing so guitar but the ones that I think would be cool are the ones were like you have my struggles like give me enough space like there's something at this one resort up where I live where they have this VR experience where there's a room and it's like big and it's open or whatever and you can interact with the real world but everything you see is just enjoys in that yo microphone over there so they have like some zombie game or whatever you can like survive against zombies but it's just a big open space you can couple people with headsets like on with the team but they can walk over to each other and just like interact with each other through a digital like window essentially that is that by creating maps on a physical environment yeah yeah so it's sort of adds that like AR plus VR element where but like you know the thing I think that helps with the headsets as it closes you in and it helps you forget about the outside world like AR you know you're still in the operatic world it's kind of like a glorified laser tag yeah yeah but I yeah cool yeah that's right chuckles like that's I think where it needs to go like if there was if they don't like a big warehouse and and like it was like decked out for like VR stuff and that was the experience that you did some other things behind videos like that yeah I guess the one thing with VR like like you said it's like the first time you try it out like it's just a unique cool experience I like you get kind of like okay I could really get into this but then like for me was I got it I looked okay there's limitations I've done this already I've done this already well now look see like that but the lab is something really cool I think we should even show you that because if you didn't try now because I was very skeptical as well I think that was me I was like like if you don't know I think all I was that's a scenario those little like games and like tricks like that where I can like interact and learn like a skill-based thing and in games you get that sort of like connection to the gameplay and that's why I love really tight controls so I can actually be like with like my body where I have more common great heart as my 805 do then it comes from naturally you never you ever stop and go oh how do I pick this up what Bundoora hit you just you just decide to do it yeah a good design that's pretty how it should be yes now you feel like we're like really stoked about stuff amazing that kind of 100 it was not a lot of games rarely available when the launch right like you think that it's because it's still like expensive that it's like a little a little bit a the thing is kind of hard for me so like I know I can do it like a little up out is outside of everybody's like price range the price point yeses and that's why they're dropping alright okay okay can your tech but they fit like in a two years like when it's like really cheap like and its more common like but you need like the call of duty of VR never it would be like a thing that people want to be competitive with and act like it's still try play sales and enthusiasts based concepts and even through the astir like not over aware that that's ed or whatever yeah that's one of the things point is you interact with a space like I think that's where like I could see like VR arcades like arcades coming back to where like you don't like now you have to go somewhere to like a venue and play some stick as VR game that you can't get it home right does not ever been able to like afford one but you could just go and do something like triple-a titles like really I don't understand why they're not making little lower resolution rendering to be whatever like if you're that close to exactly that's the thing what are okay so you work with VR tech lab what is like a generic like quality spec that you need one for computer into like resolution and output like how good how do that work I work primarily with VR video okay so totally different than what you would need to run a VR game wellness gotcha all pre-rendered essential is what you get correct okay so I can't really answer that completely alright but like say for a normal video that you're then going to watch on a by for an oculus or on a gear VR whatever your platform is like we try to render out we can render out anywhere the lowest that we'll ever under how is for your into six 2048 well then we'll go up to like 12k Wow money so and that could squeeze down into yet those show five forms obviously like a 12 K video you're not going to throw on your Samsung phone watch it here we are I just won't run and that I mean you've got a 4k video hardly runs on the older phones now why is it 12 K what so is that I know is that big that you can you don't need to either people who do like 16 K videos so the more resolution the Krispy Kreme video that depends on the headset so it's probably it's not quite 180 degrees you don't have peripheral vision right so it's probably 140 okay okay and then so whatever that resolution in front of you produce a video that's whatever 12 K app after you can press it down be still in a higher resolution there's nothing sorry I don't know there's nothing to do that on right so 4k is kind of what don't want to put it like if you just yeah just try and relax you're not going to go through all this extra hassle which is why I think the please the PlayStation one is like the easiest to set up right they've probably executed is the best it's the mess if that money is being easiest to set up because you don't have here like room sensors and there are actually hand controls you can set up and stuff but there's like a ton of loop cable you get separate boxes along with the headset and okay some of the cables have to be plugging the front of the PlayStation cuz you need USB ports and there aren't enough on the back of the PlayStation so it's it's still not great gotcha gotcha damn that's a bummer look at them they can get rid of like I hate wires like Oh like you know we have our set here and like these wires I hate wire you can't see him Oh what they're here and it drives me nuts because one like fallen over stuff and if you have to interact like a 3d space like if you're like attached to something like that's never fun so if that could make if they can find a way to make them Wireless which would kill resolution because you through put all that data to monitor or whatever I think that could be a solution right probably going too far from them kind of oh I know MSI makes like a vr gaming backpack kind of thing with their laptops or it's all plugged in to the laptop and it just like goes in this like kind of backpack strap anywhere so again - so now you're we're not like 2% is going to port them like that and simple for like vibra oculus to you in their box to throw in a little you know like the GoPro clips and mountains and they all come with like the little sticky things you can stick them on the ceiling kind of right here Owen dead oh yeah I don't know why they don't just like put a little sticky with little hook so then you can tether your quarters yeah you're feeling like what if the whole solution just doesn't doesn't happen okay look cool stuff ever find it yeah and like it real like that level like when you're invested it matters when you're not invested you'll pay which I'm not invested as much anymore yeah like I kind of want that Wow but no one is no one's going to come out of destiny - would be like that campaign was incredible no it's gonna do no yeah I don't think you will they definitely have a clearer bad guy like there's definitely like the more western style of storytelling now with which we have a hero and a villain but it's still it can still be feel fun and it can still be like a good time I'm like I'll play and I'll probably like that like in raids and doing all that figure in that outfit like when you do it the first time is always an adventure is fun it's satisfying when you're at the end and then when you're done you're like cool how does that get better and they have like the hard core and the challenge modes and like then you do that you get tired of it cool because you do things and it's not new anymore and then yet now you're just doing it to earn rewards which is always nice to have a goal in mind - but from yeah like for storytelling where when are they gonna bring that was like oh let's play this story again like every time you reroll a character when I upload story missions no and yeah one game actually I'm looking forward trying to think about it doesn't the job of the story is read dead oh they are not pushed back again well I mean that that should be fun yeah I know Far Cry 5 the whole thing with that was like once like right they got announced and far cry for like a little teaser out so they can like this western world kind of thing like kind of copying it but like in their own Far Cry kind of West yes well rid that's definitely gonna be no it's not going to modern where it's right ready yeah I think it was more like a cult based - like in my pan or whatever it is if one beam I would love to see and wishes this is what Far Cry did instead of the whole like cult thing was like if they could make an adaption like West world into game ooh I think that would be says essentially Assassin's Creed one cut yeah but like oh if they can pull it off like Red Dead but instead of like there was no like three little like you always played though as that like for Assassin's Creed you always played as like everything that was in the animus and then for anything that was like outside if there was a way that you can like blend that or like everybody's always wanted like you Ekans creepy like end up landing in like a modern era with assassins and like you know jumping through the city like you knows Ed's or something like that that's cool it just kind of never happened I think the closest they kind of got to it was syndicate we're like just the world itself is like a more modern than you know setting and I didn't play that one because we won before it was awful because I was so pleased our Dom but having yeah having these like really unique environments I think helps with the storytelling of the game the name is also something that you're interacting with and you need that to be just as compelling as narrative so right that's right that should be cool I'm looking forward to that in terms of video game since we pretty much talked about a lot of things nailed it I got one question well this is this is the I don't get game a portion one thing I saw while I was over at r-tx in Austin was I'm who's actually there but so the whole thing was halos here halo 3 backwards-compatible you can now just pop your disc right into your xbox and play Halo 3 oh yeah why is that appealing to anybody I don't know it's not as we have like super master they just put out the remaster that everyone had to drop like 70 bucks on where you can play Halo 3 remastered yeah now they're just like oh you can play me table 3 it's gonna look real but it's backwards compatible so you can just use your old discs yeah what I'm saying I don't know I guess it's for people that haven't bought message collection but still have all the games so if you like all those games but if you haven't bought like Master Chief collection because I was like one of the games came out like earlier in the lifecycle of an exhibit Moreland you probably see yeah you probably don't have an Xbox one so I don't know it is really really wild about it they people were waiting online to play Halo 3 don't like the halo 3 did an Xbox one that's weird that's just really weird a couple of in it complete like these are all the people who definitely more than likely bought the you're late and I listen Natalie I don't know why but lately I've listened to a lot more like early 2000 like late nineties hip-hop this is one guy Aesop Rock yeah and I'm gonna be really big in his Nerd Herd rap right isn't he like kind of one of those guys like was like a devil funky homosapien yeah yeah yeah and you saw a lot of labor was on like Tony Hawk one I believe maybe like even - okay which is yeah I like the whole looks like late nineties hip-hop where it's just I wasn't then like sounds like five months straight that's all this is older stuff what 2001 like that just dealt wrong
