New Apple M4 Mac Products: A Game-Changing Upgrade

Hey guys, it's Justin and I just got back from a super fun event checking out all of the new M4 Mac products that were just released. We've got the new MacBook Pro, the Mac Mini, and the new iMac, and these are all featuring Apple's new M4 chip. Now, Apple has packed in loads of power and some super awesome AI tools with as you might know they're calling it Apple intelligence.

Let's break down each device and what's new starting with the MacBook Pros. Apple released both a 14 and a 16in version these are both obviously powered by the new M4 chip family, but we have three different levels here - we've got the M4, the M4 Pro, and the top-of-the-line M4 Max. Now, each chip comes with more cores and memory support which means faster performance overall. For example, the M4 Pro and the M4 Max give you some incredible GPU power up to 40 cores on the M4 Max, so you're going to be getting support for advanced graphics features like Ray tracing. This M4 Max can also be loaded with up to 120 gigs of memory, which is perfect for pros working on heavy duty tasks like editing 4K or even AK video and playing Graphics intensive games.

Connectivity is also getting an upgrade too, so these models come with Thunderbolt 5, which means super fast data transfer speeds. I mean this is incredibly game-changing because there's going to be basically no lag between editing off of an external drive and an internal. So, this is going to be a huge performance upgrade for everyone as long as you have a thunderbolt 5 Drive. We've also got three USB C ports, an HDMI, an SD card slot, and a MAG safe charging port. They even added a 12 megapixel Center Stage camera and an option to have Nano texture glass on the display to reduce glare.

Of course, I did pre-order one, and I went for the M4 Max because I need that level of performance. The keyboard is also back in action with the latest models featuring a more comfortable typing experience compared to their predecessors. Each device has been redesigned from scratch so it's not like they've just copied designs from previous laptops. Every single component, button, and feature on these devices are different.

The iMac is keeping the iconic 24-in design but now it's powered by the M4 chip which is bringing some really big performance gains like the MacBook Pro. The iMac is optimized with Apple intelligence so you're going to be getting the new AI features including writing tools, photo Cleanup in photos, and even more built into Mac OS. The display is still a 5K retina display but now you have a nanotexture option for better visibility and bright lighting.

The iMac also comes with a 12 megapixel Center Stage camera that will keep you centered during calls plus upgraded audio with six speakers and spatial audio for movies and music. You've also got four Thunderbolt four ports at the back so you can connect to other devices super easily. And, I know I kind of Save The Best For Last but uh this iMac comes in pink - I'm so excited this is like a perfect color pink. It feels like every year around iPhone season I start complaining that Apple doesn't have enough pink things and I'm just going to say it they finally got the pink color just perfect.

Now, last but not least for new iMacs, these now have Nano texture and for me this is so much more comfortable when I'm editing and there's so much less glare especially when I'm in the studio. I have a ton of Lights there's windows and this makes it so much better. I have loved this on the new iPad so I'm so excited that it's now coming to the iMac. It is definitely recommended if you haven't tried it go to the Apple Store check it out it makes a huge difference.

For those interested in buying one of these devices, all of the keyboards and accessories match up perfectly with each other but there's one key component missing - they don't have USBC accessories anymore, but that's about to change. We got magic keyboard, trackpad, and here's the pink Magic Mouse look at that USB fam in the house so happy. one and I went with a fully speced out M4 Max Pro M M4 Max jeez here we go again so many names so little time M4 Max with the Nano texture display I can't wait having Nano texture back on a MacBook is going to be so exciting I remember they used to have it back in the day I think they were still calling them power books at the time I just remember that was so game-changing for editing and now having been using the new iPad with Nano texture it is just such a treat now the best part about these MacBooks ever since they went to the Apple silicon is battery life you can get up to 24 hours on this and that's an all day use case it's available in space black and silver with prices starting at $1,999 and now on to the Mac Mini this thing is so cute this update is really huge of course in comparison to how mini this device is look how small this is I mean the Mac Mini was already mini I mean this is like almost the size of an Apple TV now this is an entire computer right here Apple has completely redesigned it it's even more compact it's just 5 in x 5 in square but don't let the size fool you because it is so powerful you're going to be getting options for both the M4 and the M4 Pro chips meaning you're going to be getting up to 64 GB of unified memory and some pretty impressive performance boosts over the the last generation now with the M4 Pro you can connect up to three 6K displays at once or even run one AK display and a 4K display with a refresh rate up to 240 HZ plus it has a new thermal system pulling in air from the bottom to keep it cool without making any noise so now ports wise you've got five USBC ports with Thunderbolt 4 on the M4 and Thunderbolt 5 on the M4 Pro for Ultra fast speeds there's also HDMI 2.1 it's got gigb ethernet which you can upgrade to 10 gbits and a 3 5 mm High impedance headphone jack for all of you audio files it's also got a power button on the bottom which I know for a lot of you was really hard to handle I was reading the comments and people were freaking out it is a very odd move anytime I'm using my Mac Studio like I don't ever turn it off I never turn off my computer like do we do that or do we just like put it to sleep and call it a day starting at just $5.99 the Mac Mini is such a great deal if you're just looking for a compact desktop with a ton of power now do remember this is just the Mac Mini itself you will need to get keyboard a mouse and of course a display but the fact that you're getting this super powerful little computer get so tiny so much power it's definitely something to consider especially if you already have a mouse keyboard and a display like your set you just need that and last but not least the iMac apple is keeping the iconic 24-in design but now it's powered by the M4
