**Unboxing and First Impressions of the Apple iPad Pro**

I have recently had the opportunity to unbox and get hands-on with the brand new Apple iPad Pro, and I must say, I am incredibly impressed with this device. The first thing that struck me was its size, which is quite substantial compared to the iPad Air 2. In fact, when placed alongside an iPad Air 2, it's clear that there is a significant difference in terms of dimensions.

I also noticed that the iPad Pro is slightly thicker and heavier than I expected, but that size difference is still quite noticeable. On the other hand, this device feels more portable and convenient to use on the go. This size makes me think that it could be ideal for commuting or traveling, whereas the iPad Air 2 might feel a bit too large in these situations.

From a camera perspective, the iPad Pro does not exactly set any new standards with its 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear camera. Still, I suppose it's decent, but I wouldn't say it's particularly impressive either. In fact, when compared to other devices on the market, I think this one might be a bit underwhelming in terms of camera capabilities.

However, as we all know, size is just one aspect of any device, and the iPad Pro more than makes up for its lackluster camera with its incredible display and impressive performance. Speaking of which, let's take a look at how it performs on some everyday tasks like web browsing.

For example, when I visited the BBC News website, I was impressed by the speed and responsiveness of the device. The pictures were clear, and everything loaded quickly without any issues. Another test was YouTube, where the video playback was smooth and engaging. Of course, having a Smart Cover to prop up the device would be a nice touch, but it's still not necessary.

The display on this iPad Pro is truly phenomenal, with its quad speakers providing an immersive audio experience that really enhances the viewing experience. When watching videos or browsing websites, I couldn't help but appreciate how much of a difference these new speakers make. Even when letterboxing was present, it became less noticeable due to the device's size.

As I finish this first impressions piece, I must say that I am excited to dive deeper into the iPad Pro's capabilities and see if it truly lives up to its promise. Will it replace my trusty laptop? Will it make a significant difference in my daily workflow? These are questions that will be answered in a full review of the device.

would be this is the first time picked it up and it once said actually you know it's about the same weight as the original iPad which back in the day was pretty heavy but given the size of this I expected that to be a lot heavier than it actually is I'm quite impressed with that picking out of that other box so I'm very excited to play with this as always we have a very well laid out very well presented box we have a little manual in here along with the power adapter thing to charge it which if I can get out as you can see here along with the plug and the lightning cable which we can use to charge it so it's the same cable as you have with the recent iPhones iPads so that's quite convenient in order to change if you already have that sort of cable so while cables and charges are of course very exciting let's put this to one side this thing is ridiculous normally my camera at this distance can pick up pretty much most advisors I use I will review a lot of phones and tablets of course but as you can see it basically goes out the frame I'm gonna have to haul this further away or of course I could take the camera further back but so it's currently covered by this very shiny very nice plastic but of course the first thing we must do is remove that and that's obviously always the best part of any unboxing is remove all this plastic so I'll shut up as we do that sorry views for whoever's wearing headphones that was quite harsh so as you can see I have opted for the gold version because why not if I'm spending nearly 800 pounds on a tablet with a smart cover why not get it in gold because yeah there's absolutely no reason why not to and actually that you know what this is my first gold Apple device and it's not as garishness tacky as you might think it's actually quite a premium gold so yet twelve point nine inches let's turn it on and see what we get with a display it was the can't even work out and I turn it on oh right talk about the device is the power of course we also have the brand new four speakers the quad speaker set up to my top two on the bottom so this is gonna be great for gaming for movies and pretty much for anything you can think of this is just a huge tablet massive device and I can't wait to ever play with molly's so here we go we're on the main screen this is absolutely phenomenal I haven't been blown away by a new device in quite a long time but this just looks like something you'd see if you went to Apple headquarters and you saw some sort of experimental prototype project this is it's absolutely massive and the display just the first look first impression on the display is it's gorgeous so this has a twelve point nine inch Retina display Retina means it's very high resolution we've got 2732 by 2048 resolution which means it has 264 pixels per inch it has the same four by three aspect ratio as all iPads so it's gonna be great for browsing the web and reading books maybe not so great for watching movies because it's big letterboxing but I think on a screen this size that's not gonna be a problem at all now this as I say is the gold version you can also get this in silver and Space Gray you have those options in terms of design in the build its 6.9 millimeters thin so that's a little bit thicker than the iPad air 2 at 6.1 Mel's but still very very thin for something this big weight wise it's 713 grams which for everyone else is 1.5 7 pound so yeah it is definitely heavier than a normal iPad definitely heavier than a lot of tablets but frankly look at the size of this thing it's ridiculous for that this weight for this size actually it feels very very comfortable to hold it is definitely a 200 device we're gonna want to rest it on something or even use the Smart Cover which I do have and I'll show you in a bit but my first impression of the weight which is one of the big factors a lot of people are thinking about is actually not you know what this is not as heavy as I thought it would be it's sort of well distributed over the size and the holding and landscape you've got these good bezels to get you and your fingers honest you've got a good grip and so yeah the weight doesn't feel that much of a problem at all I'm quite impressed with that and so we have a new a 9 X chip which is according to Apple twice as powerful as the performance in the air 2 alongside and a first for a new Apple device 4 gigabytes of RAM which is huge and should be fantastic for the multitasking and a split screen of apps which we can do on this so this is the 32 gig model and as you can see out of the box we have a roughly twenty two point three gigabytes available to play with which is pretty good and I'm really pleased Apple didn't go with a really base cheap option of putting 16 gigs in here you can either buy this in 32 or a massive 128 gigabyte size so I'm really glad they avoided the 16 version there because I hate when they do that if 16 is not enough so I'm swiping around if everything feels really nice and fast it's really is a huge experience you're gonna want to go into an Apple store and try one of these yourself it it's ridiculous so let's just open up a couple of apps and see what everything looks like and how apps look on this huge screen I mean just look at that this app store is absolutely beautiful on this display this is the maximum brightness we can go to as you can see it goes very dark and also very bright so very very rich lovely colors crystal clear beautiful display as we as we're accustomed to on iPads and iPhones very very impressive so everything's just scaled up one more level than that anything you've used before it's just so much more room let's try something obviously this is gonna be a bit better for productivity as well as media consumption so obviously haven't got any cameras pictures to show you which is awkward I will have that flow of you of course let's let's go into something like Garage Band if I can go straight into it I bet there's gonna be updates I know we can go straight into excellent let's have a look here we are massive piano fantastic it's a good a good chance to test out the new speakers as well it's getting a volume up like so so we got two speakers on the base two on the top let's have a play what forgot what can we do you awesome as you can see I'm a virtuoso on the grand piano let's try a bit of the older smart guitar you can feel actually a little bit of vibration from the base in this thing definitely you can finish you can feel the the base from the speaker's putting your hand over one of the speakers and strumming terribly like I am you can feel a little bit bit of a vibration here that is a really crisp very very nice sound I'm very impressed with that so far so let's have a quick look at what else should we go for off you up or some games on here some proper apps when I do this in the proper review but in the meantime let's have a look maps let's go for maps here we are beautiful Great Britain as you can see here I'm based in the southwest of the UK so yeah look at this so so fast obviously I do tend to use Google Maps more than Apple maps if I were to use it but this is just ridiculous we got the a9x as I say inside it's stupidly fast processor which is sort of the upgraded version of what's in the iPhone 6s and 6s plus alongside four gigabytes of RAM that Rams can be very useful for a multitasking split view etc so yeah look at that's just incredibly nice and smooth so in terms of camera we have a 1.2 megapixel front eyesight along with a 8 megapixel rear camera oh sorry that's eye sight on the back isn't it less the FaceTime on the front so 1.2 on the front 8 on the back and nothing really to write home about still no flash I still don't think I pads and tablets are particularly camera orientated but each to their own of course so this obviously is pretty big but how big is it compared to an iPad air 2 I hear you asking well conveniently I have one two hand here's one I made earlier as you can see it's quite a bit bigger let's get them both in portrait looks so why a substantial difference in size definitely this feels like an iPad Mini next to this support next to each other you can see there really isn't much of a difference obviously is a tiny bit thicker honestly quite a bit heavier but that size difference is pretty huge you're definitely going to be good to get a lot more done I think on this one compared to that this on the other hand is a lot more portable I think I could comfortably use this on a train or a bus or something this I think I might get a few looks this is maybe more for the office more for the bedroom of the living room but definitely a huge media consumption device so let's finish off just by taking a look at some websites obviously web browsing is a big thing to do on tablets so let's check out let's go through a couple of websites here we have BBC news to start with really nice and fast everything is that's not the nicest picture to zoom in on but yep very nice let's jump to its good a tech job is it definitely get a great device to browse the web on so let's jump to YouTube and see how some videos look on this so while the YouTube app is downloading this is a perfect opportunity to get out the new iPad pro Smart Cover I also have ordered the Apple pencil but that's not / to arrive for another week or so it's slightly annoying Lee so in the meantime all I have in terms of accessories is the smart cover which I think given the size of this thing and how it's gonna be nice to sort of prop it up and watch stuff on it this may be quite a nice little investment not much unboxing to do on this one and here we are a big piece of rubber like so so let's now wrap it backwards as you do let's try and stand up mode like so and there you have it no real it works of course it does but that's what it looks like nice we got you chip install let's take a look at some videos see how they all look see I'll continue as a guest for now it was Christmas Eve and everyone in the Thomas family was dreaming sweet dreams this was deminers but the speakers are phenomenal I can really appreciate how much of a difference these four quad speakers do what difference it makes you've seen quite a lot of letterbox in there so well let's try a different video see if we have that throughout what could have just been that one advert that's this is this looks much better well it still make a letterbox battle from here so obviously letterboxing is a always been an issue with iPad it's four by three aspect but it becomes obviously less of a big deal when with a size this this sort of size everything is obviously lot bigger let's just play one of my videos right so I think that will do it for the this
