Putting Nearly 2000Hp Into The Back of an Mr2!

The Journey Begins: Installing a Billet Engine in the MR2

As we embark on this project, it's clear that we're going to need some specialized equipment and expertise to get the job done. The ATI damper is a crucial component in canceling out the harmonics in the engine, and we've had one installed in our MR2 for years without any issues. However, we've decided to upgrade to a new damper made by Fluid Damper, which promises to last the lifetime of the vehicle and never need to be rebuilt.

The ATI damper has been reliable, but we're looking for an improvement in performance, particularly at high RPMs. The Fluid Damper's self-balancing technology ensures that it will cancel out harmonics throughout the entire RPM range, giving us peace of mind knowing that our engine is running smoothly and efficiently. We've also opted to use a different style damper made by Fluid Damper, which we believe will be a better fit for our needs.

With the new damper in place, we're ready to move on to the next step: installing the Billet block. This has been a long process, but we're finally starting to see the fruits of our labor. The head is still going through its cooling system, and we've attached some coolant accessories to make sure everything is properly connected. We're also using this opportunity to showcase our new triple disc clutch from Action Clutch, which will be responsible for handling all the power produced by the Billet block.

The action clutch was requested so that if we did not have it we would use an older unit as a backup, and since we needed the fresh unit anyway, why not upgrade? We've also got our secondary sequential clutch that is currently being kept in reserve. This means that once we've got everything installed, and made sure all of our bolts are secure and tightened properly, we will fire up the engine for the first time. Since we had to wait a little while before getting this one unit installed due to shipping delays, it would not have been possible to fire her up right away but we'll get there in future videos.

We're excited to see what this Billet block will do with our new clutch and damper in place, and we can't wait to test its performance on the track. With a little more work to be done, including some final assembly and alignment, we're getting close to being ready to hit the road. We'll need to get everything properly aligned and make sure it's running smoothly before taking it to the World Cup, but for now, we're just happy to see our project coming along.

We've been working tirelessly to get this engine installed and ready to fire up, and it's been a long journey so far. From the shipping delays to the final assembly, every step of the way has presented its own set of challenges. But with patience, perseverance, and a willingness to learn, we're finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We'll continue to work on this project in future videos, sharing our progress and any setbacks that may arise along the way.

As we move forward, we want to thank all of our viewers for joining us on this journey so far. Your support has been invaluable, and we're grateful for the opportunity to share our passion with you. We'll keep pushing forward, bringing you updates and insights into our project as we go. With a little more work to be done before we can take our MR2 out on the track, we're excited to see what the future holds for this Billet engine installation.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwe officially have less than one week to get the MR2 ready for World Cup we are getting our day started with getting the truck and trailer hooked up we are getting the trailer dropped off at right trailers we have a couple upgrades to do to this thing so we are getting that knocked out getting a fresh start to our day we got some last minute car parts arriving right now which is a good sign because we have a lot of work to do boys to get this thing ready to go so let's get to it all right guys first stop of the day we're over here at right trailers got Michael right over here and he is hooking us up with some upgrades today get us ready for World Cup absolutely so we are going to be installing an awning on the side of the trailer so in case it rains or anything like that just keep us in the shade we'll have a nice cover over the car and workspace absolutely which will be very nice a little bit better than standing outside in the sun for sure and then I also went to Harbor Freight and I picked up this US general toolbox here Unfortunately they don't make these in white but I ordered a black one and we painted the face of it white and they are going to be punching a hole out right here we are going to lose some cabinet space but there's really no other place we can put a toolbox without it taking a ton of room cuz we have to have the Smart car up here and the car is going to take up a ton of space back there so we're sacrificing a cabinet this guy is going to slide in right there and right now we have our generator being stored right here along with some tools we are also going to have a generator Box made we're going to move the generator to the tongue of the trailer so we will free up some cabinet space that we're losing with the toolbox here and we're also doing the electric jack on the nose yep m easier to lift the trailer on and off the truck with a power tongue jack on it so we'll put that that ATT tie to your battery uh generator go outside oh yeah and we will have a 12vt battery on board too and then we will be able to turn the lights on and offre without a vehicle attached or a generator running absolutely yeah so the lights will work at night time independent of being hooked up to the vehicle so real convenient super nice so awning will be nice addition and uh you'll have a lot more organization inside the trailer oh yeah I'm excited we'll come back in a day or two get this thing and uh and she's ready to rip I appreciate it man boy always over here write trailers you know if you buy your trailer need upgrades later you can always come back and get them before you break it even you upgrad before you break it but if you break it we can fix that too so now that I got the trailer dropped off I'm on my way to a place called tubes and hoses to get a new clutch line made for the MR2 since we redid that as well so we need a new line going from the pedal to our slipper valve and I'm going to pick that up get back to the house and we have a ton to get done on this car today we were waiting until it was Monday to get some last minute Parts in the engine should hopefully be wrapped up either by the end of today or tomorrow to get that thing in we're hoping to make a private test session on Friday and then we have to hit the road Sunday or Monday morning depending on where we're at so it's going to be a tight one boys but we are committed we are making World Cup happen all right guys back at the shop we got the clutch line installed on the MR2 right now I am on push car duty I got the Smart car pulled in and I got the front end pulled off of this thing because we are getting this thing set up to push the MR2 to and from the pits and we are just going right to the freaking bumper support here so I just drilled a hole through it welded a nut to that guy made this guy right here with a little push bar kit that I ordered online it came with this U bracket the bar and the HMS and the weld in joints to go on to the ends of that guy I got one of them welded right there but this is just going to screw in to the bumper support through the bumper and then this will have to sit horizontally to push the MR2 so that the car can pivot and turn and then we're just going to flip it fold the bar up and bungee it up when we need to drive the Smart car around and then we got this piece right here this is from motion race Works ordered this guy the other day and this is really nice it makes it simple because you can just go to the tabs of your parachute Mount it's a nice Billet piece and this just slips around that guy like so then we can run our bolt through it and then we can have our himim go right into there from the Smart car and we can push the MR2 so I'm going to go ahead keep working on that get this all knocked out why it's been over here finishing up the final wiring on the MR2 so this is going to be the engine harness that goes to the bulkhead that you got whipped up inside the car yep so just modifying the old harness that was on it uh just CU time constraints and later on we'll do a nice new harness that accommodates all the changes but for now just adding some little things making it work because we're trying to start this thing like tomorrow or the next day yeah hopefully in the next two days we hear that Billet block running right that's what we really need out quick and uh hopefully it works good for us it should it worked in the past so he's going to keep on knocking out that we'll get the Smart Car finished up here and go from there n all right guys so we continued working into the night and just kept going we didn't really film anything after the time lapse there Wyatt continued to work on the engine harness if you got that knocked out and got that all laid back into the car here show them that bulkhead you did under there nice and easy to get to Super convenient so now all we got to do is unscrew that guy and then the whole motor can drop out y whereas before all the wires ran up into the cab and we kind of had to weay everything sprawled out so now it's a nice little package in case this thing sends a rod to the Moon we can uh drop the engine out a little easier there yep so that plg and one other wire that needs to come on done and the clutch line and then this whole thing will come right out so makes it really super easy look right over here got the Smart car all put back together and we have our push bar ready to go we got this guy painted red because a lot of people don't notice these when they're walking around in the lanes and I've seen a lot of people trip over the rods so we painted it black on asphalt you probably wouldn't see it and we're hoping Nobody Breaks their ankle over this push bar so it's nice and red for everyone to see but that will just drop down like so H tmr2 and we got our Smart Car push car super simple when we want to fold it up we just lift it up into place I ordered a little piece that I'm going to attach right here just so it can lock it in and we'll also probably add a bungee cord to this guy cuz we don't want to hit the brakes and also hit somebody in the back of the head with that that would not be good and then when we go to tow the car we just turn this guy sideways like so so we can pivot the car got a quick ra pin easy enough boys so I did get the word that our engine should be ready tonight but it's not going to be done until until later this evening we still have the mockup engine in the MR2 now we could sit around and wait for the villet engine to get here put it in there and start mocking everything up but we still have some stuff to get done and we don't want to be sitting around wasting any time so while the mockup engine is in there we are going to start mocking up the turbo kit because some things have changed on that as well as you guys saw we got a new turbo this is actually the one going on the 2JZ Civic but we are bumming it for World Cup we are allowed to run a bigger turbo and we're going to World Cup boys we can't be having that small turbo nonsense we got to go as big as we possibly can have the car as set up and as capable as it possibly could be so if we need that extra power we're going to have it so this is that nextg Precision 8385 that we're sticking on to the MR2 and we are also swapping turbo manifolds this is our old one right here so this is the one that we got from toyonda a long time ago it has worked great no issues at all we ran hour 75 on this thing but we are upgrading just a little bit so if you look right here this one is a open T4 flange if you look at the turbo exhaust housing this is a twin scroll and we have a manifold now to match that so this one is also from TOA made with the same jig so it puts the turbo in the same location as before which is really nice for us so we won't have to change up the exhaust hopefully or anything too crazy like that but this one is a T4 divided twin scroll plange right there so it should be a little more efficient we might see some more mid-range gains and we're just trying to take every Edge we can for this race guys and this new manifold does look beautiful it's also a little less cluttered than the other one we're going to have more room for the exhaust and stuff like that because the exhaust was a little tight before I stayed up last night and I got the EGT bungs welded in because we are going to have to swap those over and if you look right here we also added a bung for back pressure something we have never monitored before which we are going to start doing now because that is a pretty important one to keep an eye on I on a drive car you want to keep your back pressure less than like 1 to one so this reads boost the same way but on the exhaust side if we're making 60 lbs of boost on the intake side and we're making 60 lb of boost on the uh exhaust side we know we're about maxed on what that turbo housing is wanting to flow and if you start making more back pressure than intake charge pressure then you are starting to sacrifice efficiency and that's just an important number for us to know make sure we're not pushing things too hard stuff starts to be really hot when you do that so just more data boys while we're talking about data you might as well tell them about this guy the new turbo speed sensor that'll be some important data as well you know while we're mon monitoring back pressure turbo speed is a really good one to have too like Kyle was saying just turbo efficiency is really what all this data will tell us so we'll know if we need to go up down sideways with turbo sizing and uh just have a better overall understanding of what the car likes yeah just making sure she's happy yep that's the biggest thing trying to keep this Billet motor together not a rod hanging through the side of it we're just going full-blown race car with the MR2 boys the MR2 is starting to look complete again guys check it out we almost have this thing all the way back together with the mockup engine minus a couple things like the valve cover and we also don't have the eate on it right now the position of the wastegate did change a little bit it does now sit at a 90° angle right off that collector there whereas before it was hanging a little more upside down inside of the car so we will probably have to redo the dump a little bit for that guy but we will get to that later but yeah you can see the exhaust fits great I did not have to modify it at all Turbo's in the same location so that worked out awesome man fold is on everything is bolted nice and tight we did redo the intercooler pipes just a little bit we changed from the vibrant HD clamp to a regular vband right here for a couple reasons the main one being if we are at the track and we have an issue with a turbo and we need to swap something out maybe we you know break a motor and it sends debris through the turbo and we want to use a fresh turbo um something Victor told me at Induction Performance a good thing to do would be to leave this flange alone right here because uh Precision is like always at these big events and other competitors out there run Precision turbos and if we had to swap compressor housings or anything like that we can easily do so by just using what comes with that compressor housing and not having a custom welded uh HD clamp on the end of it there so just for convenience we wanted to do that so we had to modify that a little bit as well but nothing too crazy there and yeah boys that's about it and I just got the word that the Billet engine is going together for final assembly so we are going to go pick that thing up right now it's going to be a late night but I'm going to go grab that and we'll probably continue on this tomorrow because I don't think I'm going to have any time to edit and I know I'm just kind of chopping this into sections as we go but we've been hustling boys but let's go pick this thing up I'm ready to see it there she is all done up ready to go man these guys been working hard Jason his dad and some of their guys over here have been staying up late getting Racers ready for World Cup so I appreciate you guys what time is it right now 117 117 and we got you know less than 24 hours hopefully this will be in the car and possibly running yeah that's crazy less than 24 hours boys this might be in the MR2 fired up because we are hitting it hard tomorrow you can never everything fully dressed ready to go I mean we are fullblown Billet here guys I went with the drag cartel K20 Billet timing chain cover as well I had to complete the look it's a shame we got to put this ugly thing on there though would nice get a nice bit of valve cover yeah so we are going to be rerunning the valve cover I've always had we are going to paint it before we get it on there but we have to run this valve cover because it has our adapter there for the fuel pump that runs off of the cam right here so we do need to retain this one it also has our bungs for the catch can so we'll get like a nice wrinkle black or something on that guy help clean it up because this thing is freaking beautiful fully assembled bullet K series Billet block here pretty much the same as it was before just yeah pretty much sh up to hold all the Boost you shouldn't crack obviously you're not going to crack a block even though it would suck to break the motor my biggest concern was also the safety of it I didn't want to break a cast block that had water in it that could get all over our rear tires and cause an accident so I feel better about having this in there so when these let go and break normally everything stays inside so you'll hurt the oil pan if that but everything stays inside then just grind out the block repair it needs repair yeah I mean what's what's cool about these if you do have a rod let go and it just punches a hole and there's not any major damage internally you can actually just weld this back together cuz it's just a nice Billet clean material it's not like trying to weld OEM cast crap cool man they got her all sealed up here we just got to get that valve cover on oil pan is on so this is our same oil pan got our oil return right there for the turbo we have a damper at the house to get on this thing that we'll show you guys all titanium Hardware on that timing chain cover as well and then if you guys look back here I think we already talked about it but yeah no oil filter so we got our in and out on the Block and that is going to go to a custom filter that we got that we have to show you guys tomorrow when we get back to the house but ready to get this thing loaded up let you guys get going home and uh the thrash is on we should show it was only a few days yeah we should show them where your car's at cuz my car yeah my car you're trying to make it still too right yeah so we're going to make it but this is the block that's going in the car right here that's aart and that's the car right now yeah so that's where they're at and they also have the same amount of time as we do yeah so that and also a little less I have more customers to do with yeah and they have customers so I'm toast hey you're actually farther ahead than we are right now because we have to take an engine out of the car to get it to look like this and then start putting it back together I have a little Head Start hopefully it's finally here about time 12:30 in the morning we are back boys with the Billet engine we're going to have a long day ahead of us tomorrow very very long day this thing out of here get some sleep and hit it hard tomorrow all right boys it's time put the MR2 all the way together just to take it apart again yeah seems to be the way it goes around here some days but I'm excited man get this Billet Chunk in there and maybe fire the damn thing up today we'll see it's been a long time coming feels like it's really only been like two weeks of crunch time but it's been long long it's been a ton of work boys but got to get this thing dressed out ready to put in the MR2 let's freaking get to it it's finally time for the Billet block boys all right guys we're getting the Billet engine all dressed up just getting some pictures and stuff like that but we're going to go ahead and get the damper put on this thing now this is the ATI damper that I've had on the MR2 for years now and we have never serviced this thing haven't done nothing to it and these are very important this uh cancels out a lot of the harmonics in your engine very important to run a good damper on the car if you want your bearings glass stuff like that so it even says right on here that this needs to be rebuilt every time the engine comes apart this thing has been through the ringer these are built with uh layers of metal and inside of there they are separated by O-rings the O-rings over time can wear out and they need rebuilt over time so we're actually switching to a different style damper that we're going to try out here and this comes from fluid damper and we're going to tell you why we want to try one of these bad boys out so here she is fresh out of the box and this is the same size as our other one made to fit a K series what's cool about these is they have a fluid inside of them as opposed to the O-rings like the ATI and these last the lifetime of your vehicle not just each engine rebuild it never has to be rebuilt whereas the AIS need to be sent in for servicing they don't have any O-rings that can wear out they actually use these on a lot of OEM supercars and they self balance throughout the whole RPM range where some of the ATI stuff is limited on really high ring RPMs and we crank these haunted queries really high so we want to make sure that our harmonics are canceled out as good as we can throughout the entire RPM range so we are going to stick that guy on there made in the USA SFI certified ready to rip and uh we'll get that on there and we'll be ready to go he dang guys I don't even know if we can put this in the car yeah it's going to get way too dirty I think me and why have decided just to stick it in the living room and look at it and uh we're going to start a knitting Channel yeah so thanks for joining us on the booster boys Journey look for our next Channel y we've peaked here boys and we're done it's all downhill oh it is so nice guys we got everything together we hung the manifold on there just for pictures obviously that's going to come back off to get it in the car but the intake is on for good and we're starting to get some of the coolant accessories on there because the head is still going to have water going through it but just about ready to drop the mockup engine and trans out of there because that is our actual transmission that we need so we're going going to get that out of the MR2 get that bolted onto this guy with our new clutch and everything that we got I also have to show you guys that we did get a new triple disc clutch from our guys over at action clutch hooking us up nothing was wrong with our old one but we wanted to go to this event on a fresh unit and our other clutch is going to become our backup and it was just recently refreshed so we got a fresh brand new triple disc from action clutch going on there to handle all of the horsepowers from this Billet block and we have that second one like I said as a backup get that sequential made it up to this thing get it in the MR2 we got to start plugging away boys we don't got much time d well guys the MR2 officially has a Billet block installed ready to rip just about it's getting there still some Fab work to finish up a lot of assembly and if we had all the parts we needed we could start it tonight but unfortunately good old shipping companies y we're missing just a couple things she probably won't fire tonight but we are going to continue into the night to get it fully buttoned up and ready to fire up but I going to end this video here because it's been a long last like 3 or 4 days I forgot where I left off last but you guys will get to hopefully see this thing fire up in the next video and then we got to get this thing aligned get it right to the track make sure we can get a Shakedown pass go do some testing hopefully before we head out and then pack everything up get a backup motor and backup sequential together and all kinds of stuff ready for World Cup pick up the trailer roll out all in three days yep yay but uh that's going to do it for this video guys we've been going and hope you guys enjoy it and I hope you guys are excited to see what this thing will do with the new Billet engine installed so thanks for watching I'll see you guys in the next onewe officially have less than one week to get the MR2 ready for World Cup we are getting our day started with getting the truck and trailer hooked up we are getting the trailer dropped off at right trailers we have a couple upgrades to do to this thing so we are getting that knocked out getting a fresh start to our day we got some last minute car parts arriving right now which is a good sign because we have a lot of work to do boys to get this thing ready to go so let's get to it all right guys first stop of the day we're over here at right trailers got Michael right over here and he is going to take up a ton of space back there so we're sacrificing a cabinet this guy is going to slide in right there and right now we have our generator being stored right here along with some tools we are also going to have a generator Box made we're going to move the generator to the tongue of the trailer so we will free up some cabinet space that we're losing with the toolbox here and we're also doing the electric jack on the nose yep m easier to lift the trailer on and off the truck with a power tongue jack on it so we'll put that that ATT tie to your battery uh generator go outside oh yeah and we will have a 12vt battery on board too and then we will be able to turn the lights on and offre without a vehicle attached or a generator running absolutely yeah so the lights will work at night time independent of being hooked up to the vehicle so real convenient super nice so awning will be nice addition and uh you'll have a lot more organization inside the trailer oh yeah I'm excited we'll come back in a day or two get this thing and uh and she's ready to rip I appreciate it man boy always over here write trailers you know if you buy your trailer need upgrades later you can always come back and get them before you break it even you upgrad before you break it but if you break it we can fix that too so now that I got the trailer dropped off I'm on my way to a place called tubes and hoses to get a new clutch line made for the MR2 since we redid that as well so we need a new line going from the pedal to our slipper valve and I'm going to pick that up get back to the house and we have a ton to get done on this car today we were waiting until it was Monday to get some last minute Parts in the engine should hopefully be wrapped up either by the end of today or tomorrow to get that thing in we're hoping to make a private test session on Friday and then we have to hit the road Sunday or Monday morning depending on where we're at so it's going to be a tight one boys but we are committed we are making World Cup happen all right guys back at the shop we got the clutch line installed on the MR2 right now I am on push car duty I got the Smart car pulled in and I got the front end pulled off of this thing because we are getting this thing set up to push the MR2 to and from the pits and we are just going right to the freaking bumper support here so I just drilled a hole through it welded a nut to that guy made this guy right here with a little push bar kit that I ordered online it came with this U bracket the bar and the HMS and the weld in joints to go on to the ends of that guy I got one of them welded right there but this is just going to screw in to the bumper support through the bumper and then this will have to sit horizontally to push the MR2 so that the car can pivot and turn and then we're just going to flip it fold the bar up and bungee it up when we need to drive the Smart car around and then we got this piece right here this is from motion race Works ordered this guy the other day and this is really nice it makes it simple because you can just go to the tabs of your parachute Mount it's a nice Billet piece and this just slips around that guy like so then we can run our bolt through it and then we can have our himim go right into there from the Smart car and we can push the MR2 so I'm going to go ahead keep working on that get this all knocked out why it's been over here finishing up the final wiring on the MR2 so this is going to be the engine harness that goes to the bulkhead that you got whipped up inside the car yep so just modifying the old harness that was on it uh just CU time constraints and later on we'll do a nice new harness that accommodates all the changes but for now just adding some little things continued working into the night and just kept going we didn't really film anything after the time lapse there Wyatt continued to work on the engine harness if you got that knocked out and got that all laid back into the car here show them that bulkhead you did under there nice and easy to get to Super convenient so now all we got to do is unscrew that guy and then the whole motor can drop out y whereas before all the wires ran up into the cab and we kind of had to weay everything sprawled out so now it's a nice little package in case this thing sends a rod to the Moon we can uh drop the engine out a little easier there yep so that plg and one other wire that needs to come on done and the clutch line and then this whole thing will come right out so makes it really super easy look right over here got the Smart car all put back together and we have our push bar ready to go we got this guy painted red because a lot of people don't notice these when they're walking around in the lanes and I've seen a lot of people trip over the rods so we painted it black on asphalt you probably wouldn't see it and we're hoping Nobody Breaks their ankle over this push bar so it's nice and red for everyone to see but that will just drop down like so H tmr2 and we got our Smart Car push car super simple when we want to fold it up we just lift it up into place I ordered a little piece that I'm going to attach right here just so it can lock it in and we'll also probably add a bungee cord to this guy cuz we don't want to hit the brakes and also hit somebody in the back of the head with that that would not be good and then when we go to tow the car we just turn this guy sideways like so so we can pivot the car got a quick ra pin easy enough boys so I did get the word that our engine should be ready tonight but it's not going to be done until until later this evening we still have the mockup engine in the MR2 now we could sit around and wait for the villet engine to get here put you start making more back pressure than intake charge pressure then you are starting to sacrifice efficiency and that's just an important number for us to know make sure we're not pushing things too hard stuff starts to be really hot when you do that so just more data boys while we're talking about data you might as well tell them about this guy the new turbo speed sensor that'll be some important data as well you know while we're mon monitoring back pressure turbo speed is a really good one to have too like Kyle was saying just turbo efficiency is really what all this data will tell us so we'll know if we need to go up down sideways with turbo sizing and uh just have a better overall understanding of what the car likes yeah just making sure she's happy yep that's the biggest thing trying to keep this Billet motor together not a rod hanging through the side of it we're just going full-blown race car with the MR2 boys the MR2 is starting to look complete again guys check it out we almost have this thing all the way back together with the mockup engine minus a couple things like the valve cover and we also don't have the eate on it right now the position of the wastegate did change a little bit it does now sit at a 90° angle right off that collector there whereas before it was hanging a little more upside down inside of the car so we will probably have to redo the dump a little bit for that guy but we will get to that later but yeah you can see the exhaust fits great I did not have to modify it at all Turbo's in the same location so that worked out awesome man fold is on everything is bolted nice and tight we did redo the intercooler pipes just a little bit we changed from the vibrant HD clamp to a regular vband right here for a couple reasons the main one being if we are at the track and we have an issue with a turbo and we need to swap something out maybe we you know break a motor and it sends debris through the turbo and we want to use a fresh turbo um something Victor told me at Induction Performance a good thing to do would be to leave this flange alone right here because uh Precision is like always at these big events and other competitors out there run Precision turbos and if we had to swap compressor housings or anything like that we can easily do so by just using what comes with that compressor housing and not having a custom welded uh HD clamp on the end of it there so just for convenience we wanted to do that so we had to modify that a little bit as well but nothing too crazy there and yeah boys that's about it and I just got the word that the Billet engine is going together for final assembly so we are going to go pick that thing up right now it's going to be a late night but I'm going to go grab that and we'll probably continue on this tomorrow because I don't think I'm going to have any time to edit and I know I'm just kind of chopping this into sections as we go but we've been hustling boys but let's go pick this thing up I'm ready to see it there she is all done up ready to go man these guys been working hard Jason his dad and some of their guys over here have been staying up late getting Racers ready for World Cup so I appreciate you guys what time is it right now 117 117 and we got you know less than 24 hours hopefully this will be in the car and possibly running yeah that's crazy less than 24 hours boys this might be in the MR2 fired up because we are hitting it hard tomorrow you can never everything fully dressed ready to go I mean we are fullblown Billet here guys I went with the drag cartel K20 Billet timing chain cover as well I had to complete the look it's a shame we got to put this ugly thing on there though would nice get a nice bit of valve cover yeah so we are going to be rerunning the valve cover I've always had we are going to paint it before we get it on there but we have to run this valve cover because it has our adapter there for the fuel pump that runs off of the cam right here so we do need to retain this one it also has our bungs for the catch can so we'll get like a nice wrinkle black or something on that guy help clean it up because this thing is freaking beautiful fully assembled bullet K series Billet block here pretty much the same as it was before just yeah pretty much sh up to hold all the Boost you shouldn't crack obviously you're not going to crack a block even though it would suck to break the motor my biggest concern was also the safety of it I didn't want to break a cast block that had water in it that could get all over our rear tires and cause an accident so I feel better about having this in there so when these let go and break normally everything stays inside so you'll hurt the oil pan if that but everything stays inside then just grind out the block repair it needs repair yeah I mean what's what's cool about these if you do have a rod let go and it just punches a hole and there's not any major damage internally you can actually just weld this back together cuz it's just a nice Billet clean material it's not like trying to weld OEM cast crap cool man they got her all sealed up here we just got to get that valve cover on oil pan is on so this is our same oil pan got our oil return right there for the turbo we have a damper at the house to get on this thing that we'll show you guys all titanium Hardware on that timing chain cover as well and then if you guys look back here I think we already talked about it but yeah no oil filter so we got our in and out on the Block and that is going to go to a custom filter that we got that we have to show you guys tomorrow when we get back to the house but ready to get this thing loaded up let you guys get going home and uh the thrash is on we should show it was only a few days yeah we should show them where your car's at cuz my car yeah my car you're trying to make it still too right yeah so we're going to make it but this is the block that's going in the car right here that's aart and that's the car right now yeah so that's where they're at and they also have the same amount of time as we do yeah so that and also a little less I have more customers to do with yeah and they have customers so I'm toast hey you're actually farther ahead than we are right now because we have to take an engine out of the car to get it to look like this and then start putting it back together I have a little Head Start hopefully it's finally here about time 12:30 in the morning we are back boys with the Billet engine we're going to have a long day ahead of us tomorrow very very long day this thing out of here get some sleep and hit it hard tomorrow all right boys it's time put the MR2 all the way together just to take it apart again yeah seems to be the way it goes around here some days but I'm excited man get this Billet Chunk in there and maybe fire the damn thing up today we'll see it's been a long time coming feels like it's really only been like two weeks of crunch time but it's been long long it's been a ton of work boys but got to get this thing dressed out ready to put in the MR2 let's freaking get to it it's finally time for the Billet block boys all right guys we're getting the Billet engine all dressed up just getting some pictures and stuff like that but we're going to go ahead and get the damper put on this thing now this is the ATI damper that I've had on the MR2 for years now and we have never serviced this thing haven't done nothing to it and these are very important this uh cancels out a lot of the harmonics in your engine very important to run a good damper on the car if you want your bearings glass stuff like that so it even says right on here that this needs to be rebuilt every time the engine comes apart this thing has been through the ringer these are built with uh layers of metal and inside of there they are separated by O-rings the O-rings over time can wear out and they need rebuilt over time so we're actually switching to a different style damper that we're going to try out here and this comes from fluid damper and we're going to tell you why we want to try one of these bad boys out so here she is fresh out of the box and this is the same size as our other one made to fit a K series what's cool about these is they have a fluid inside of them as opposed to the O-rings like the ATI and these last the lifetime of your vehicle not just each engine rebuild it never has to be rebuilt whereas the AIS need to be sent in for servicing they don't have any O-rings that can wear out they actually use these on a lot of OEM supercars and they self balance throughout the whole RPM range where some of the ATI stuff is limited on really high ring RPMs and we crank these haunted queries really high so we want to make sure that our harmonics are canceled out as good as we can throughout the entire RPM range so we are going to stick that guy on there made in the USA SFI certified ready to rip and uh we'll get that on there and we'll be ready to go he dang guys I don't even know if we can put this in the car yeah it's going to get way too dirty I think me and why have decided just to stick it in the living room and look at it and uh we're going to start a knitting Channel yeah so thanks for joining us on the booster boys Journey look for our next Channel y we've peaked here boys and we're done it's all downhill oh it is so nice guys we got everything together we hung the manifold on there just for pictures obviously that's going to come back off to get it in the car but the intake is on for good and we're starting to get some of the coolant accessories on there because the head is still going to have water going through it but just about ready to drop the mockup engine and trans out of there because that is our actual transmission that we need so we're going going to get that out of the MR2 get that bolted onto this guy with our new clutch and everything that we got I also have to show you guys that we did get a new triple disc clutch from our guys over at action clutch hooking us up nothing was wrong with our old one but we wanted to go to this event on a fresh unit and our other clutch is going to become our backup and it was just recently refreshed so we got a fresh brand new triple disc from action clutch going on there to handle all of the horsepowers from this Billet block and we have that second one like I said as a backup get that sequential made it up to this thing get it in the MR2 we got to start plugging away boys we don't got much time d well guys the MR2 officially has a Billet block installed ready to rip just about it's getting there still some Fab work to finish up a lot of assembly and if we had all the parts we needed we could start it tonight but unfortunately good old shipping companies y we're missing just a couple things she probably won't fire tonight but we are going to continue into the night to get it fully buttoned up and ready to fire up but I going to end this video here because it's been a long last like 3 or 4 days I forgot where I left off last but you guys will get to hopefully see this thing fire up in the next video and then we got to get this thing aligned get it right to the track make sure we can get a Shakedown pass go do some testing hopefully before we head out and then pack everything up get a backup motor and backup sequential together and all kinds of stuff ready for World Cup pick up the trailer roll out all in three days yep yay but uh that's going to do it for this video guys we've been going and hope you guys enjoy it and I hope you guys are excited to see what this thing will do with the new Billet engine installed so thanks for watching I'll see you guys in the next one\n"
