**The Peugeot 5008: A Practical and Great Value 7-Seater SUV**

I recently had the opportunity to test drive the Peugeot 5008, and I must say that it's a car that's sure to raise some eyebrows. With its sleek design and impressive features list, this SUV is definitely worth considering for those looking for a practical and great value family car.

One of the first things that caught my eye was the interior of the car. As soon as you step inside, you'll notice that it's surprisingly spacious and well-appointed. The dashboard is clean and uncluttered, with plenty of storage compartments and cup holders to keep everyone entertained on long journeys. The seats are also particularly comfortable, with plenty of legroom and headroom for even the tallest passengers.

But what really sets the 5008 apart is its array of features. One of the first things I noticed was the car's ability to fold down the rear seats with ease. This is a game-changer for anyone who needs to transport long items, such as bikes or surfboards. The car also comes with a range of convenient features, including picnic tables and a pop-out drinks holder that fit neatly under the front seats.

The 5008's exterior design is also well worth noting. With its sloping roofline and chunky wheels, it's clear that this is an SUV that's designed to look and feel like a car. And while it may not be the most aggressive-looking vehicle on the road, it's certainly eye-catching in its own right.

But what really matters is how the 5008 performs on the road. In terms of handling, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it behaves. While it may not be as sporty as some other SUVs, it's still plenty capable and easy to drive around town. The suspension is a bit firmer than some other models, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - it gives the car a bit of a sportier feel without sacrificing comfort.

Of course, one of the biggest advantages of any SUV is its ability to handle long-distance driving with ease. And in this regard, the 5008 really delivers. The seats are incredibly comfortable, and the engine has plenty of pulling power to keep you moving at steady speeds. Whether you're cruising down the motorway or tackling some twisty roads, the 5008 is well-equipped to handle whatever comes its way.

But while the 5008 is certainly a capable car, it's not without its drawbacks. In terms of economy, I was disappointed to find that it's not as efficient as I had hoped. However, I did notice that it's still plenty powerful, with the diesel engine providing plenty of pulling power for those long hauls.

Finally, one thing that really sets the 5008 apart is its off-road capability. With an all-wheel drive system and a range of driving modes to choose from, this SUV is well-equipped to handle anything the road may throw at it. Whether you're tackling some rocky terrain or simply navigating some tricky weather conditions, the 5008 has got you covered.

**Specifications**

The Peugeot 5008 comes with a range of engine options, including two petrol engines and two diesel engines. The petrol options are a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit producing 150 horsepower, which can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 10 seconds. The other petrol option is a 2-liter naturally aspirated unit producing 190 horsepower, which can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 8 seconds.

The diesel options are also both two-liter units, with the lower-powered version producing 150 horsepower and the higher-powered version producing 190 horsepower. In terms of acceleration, the diesel engines can both get from 0-60mph in around 10 seconds.

**Verdict**

So should you avoid the Peugeot 5008? Definitely not. While it may not be perfect, this SUV is certainly a great value option for families or anyone looking for a practical and comfortable car. It's just worth being aware of its drawbacks - particularly in terms of economy. However, if you can forgive that minor quibble, the 5008 is sure to provide years of reliable service.

I'd definitely recommend adding it to your shortlist, but be aware that it may not be perfect for everyone. If you're looking for a more sporty driving experience, you might want to consider other options. However, if you need a car that's capable, comfortable, and practical, the 5008 is definitely worth considering.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis is the new Scirocco and it's a bit like some ruins let me explain you see tarako is actually the name of a Roman settlement which has now become Tarragona yeah anyway this is a seven seater SUV and it's worth considering alongside the likes of the Peugeot 5008 and Skoda kodiak now the trekker starts from 28,000 pounds but you can save an average of 5,000 pounds off one through car Wow and if you want to make sure you're paying a fair price for your new car click on the papaya banner just up there in the top right hand corner of the screen or follow the link below the video to get a car why let's start this review by talking about the tacos design now you might be thinking wait a minute looks a little bit familiar a little bit like a Volkswagen take one all space that's because underneath is skin it's pretty much the same car which is almost the same car as the Skoda Kodiak as well now as you move up the range you to get more bits of chill on the car for instance this has the larger alloy wheels and shiny bits of trim down here a bit more chintzy materials down here as well lesser versions don't look quite so cold in fact the entry-level car is a little bit bland terms of this cars face it's very angry looking isn't aired and why it's a cross anyway let's see what it's like on the insides if it changed up a little bit actually no it sounds rather cross because I've left the ignition on so I'll call that warning beef very annoying into it is on this car it's actually alright it's not the most exciting but it's not the most glum either and quality places is good but then in others though it's all scratchy and nasty and I've got some build quality issues for instance I have found this bit of trim is coming apart and my poor cameraman he actually cooked his hand when he was reaching under the headrest and I sure could well it's poor little damage finger now bless him anyway in terms of the layout it's all super simple as it always is in a say everything it's dead easy to use or the controls in the right place where you want them so climate control down here on the driving stuff here all dead simple and easy to use and that brings me onto this cos equipment list the range kicks off with the SE and it gets three zone climate control Lane Keeping Assist and what emergency braking thank God it also gets a digital driver's display and 8-inch touchscreen with apple carplay and android auto now if you step it to the SE technology that adds inbuilt satellite navigation the technology pack also adds 18-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass so don't look at me I'm sure the excellence model which i think is a pic of the range gets sport seat with Park and toggle a reversing camera in addition to the normal or ramp parking sensors and an auto pop facility so the cold pocket cell for you there's also blind spot monitoring if someone creeps up on you and adaptive cruise control the top of the range is the lux model and it has leather seats a heated front and back a top-down 360-degree camera and 20 inch alloy wheels oh yeah look at that now another say it's the infotainment system is usually located a bit lower down so you have to take your eyes off the road to see it whereas here in the truck it's higher up which is much better for using while you're driving and it's quite a nice system to use it's the same as in other sets the actual operating system itself so it's dead easy to navigate through different menus the graphics are nice and sharp and the screen is generally quite responsive you can pinch and zoom on the map to have a look around and inputting a destination on the sat-nav is dead easy you think it three routes back there they're not the quickest to calculate however if you want to import a waypoint that's pretty easy to do if you want to go to different functions it's very easy you can use the shortcut buttons at the side of the screen to just take you straight there so generally the infotainment system is pretty good so is the digital drivers display and you can easily look through various functions on there and even change the view for a widescreen map if you prefer it's not lovely yes so else is lovely the seats in this car I really do like them and the driving position so with your big or small you can about to get comfy in this car loads of adjustment especially in the steering wheel that is actually a really good even compared to on the cars practic art is good as well huge door bins and they're lined with felt so things that rattle around in there you've got a little bit of extra storage there for your coffee cups and I like the way it grips it coupler and they'll get even tighter if you've got all those small energy drinks comes without really having to demonstrate with today my pops there's a little bit of extra storage down here it's not great the glovebox isn't particularly big either there is some storage down here we can keep your wallet size prying eyes there's a place for your mobile phone of course down there and you've got your connectivity with two USBs aux-in and twelve volt socket there as well as that's in a really useful place tell me what else are like this the frameless mirror yeah just just pool and expensive only off I should just turn it off so the back doors on this car a huge look at that and the cars a perfect height to just flop into the seat and there's loads of room back here as you can see I've got lots of knee room head rooms or more as well under chair foot space and the seats slide look at that and they why is it they recline in fact I can do it from here then why did the hard way as you can see all very nice and spacious 2003 once there is this hump in the floor which means foot space is a bit limited and this isn't the widest of car so the people on the outer seats do get pushed out slightly in the shape of the seat bolster does mean it just barges into this side but it's alright it's not the worst car carrying three across the central bench also it's pretty good for carrying a child seat so you've got easy access either fixed anchor points there so it's simple to get the child sit into the car you can fit a rear-facing one in there as well even though they're all quite bulky however there's not much space we won't have two child seats on the outer two seats space between them is pretty limited if you want to carry along your item as you can fold down this central bit here and carry long items through there on to people either side if you're not doing that you can fold on this armrest or use those cupholders which has once again another cut away for an energy drink yet again it seems like sake customers aren't there energy drinks now in terms of other areas of practicality look at this top ends huge that 1.5 litre ball fits in there as well there's some small pockets there they're all rather small down here you've got USB charger 12 volt socket which is handy as well but my favourite thing is this look those huge back windows which give you a great view out go all the way down isn't that awesome yeah what's also pretty awesome is hey get into the backseat for the sleeve on the top and slides forward and the good thing is is that unlike on some other 7 seater SUVs you can do it either side look so it does matter what some of the car you get it what's not too awesome is when you pull the sit back and get in it because it's pretty plumbing tight the issue isn't so much with legroom because even if you slide the seat forward a bit and you got someone sat in front to you you can just work things out it's the Headroom it's not great for adults kids they'll be ok but yeah I'm not enjoying this I'm getting the heck oh yes right let's move on to this cosmic boot so it's actually pretty good on this car but then it is huge isn't it now there's no low lip to list of off but you do have this Ridge but that's forgivable underneath here you've got no storage but that's where you keep your tire repair kit some storage areas down here and down here as well and some tethering points 12 volt socket and a handy little hook there to hang your shopping off now I'll just pop this back there and right because one of things I like about this guy is how easy it is to just look hold on the rear seats to go into five-seater mode and then if I wanna go into two-seater mode to carry lots and lots of stuff I don't do anything besides it's all automatically falls down although yeah just notice one thing keep on it to life luck I've got it come on so I've kind of just contradicted myself now in terms what you can carry in this car with all the seats folded down there's plenty of space to carry a bike without having to remove its wheels also you can load it full of stuff with space for three large boxes a whole load of small boxes a large suitcase too small suitcases and a set of golf clubs in five sitting mode the space with one large suitcase two small suitcase is a soft bag and a set of golf clubs all neatly under the load cover meanwhile in seven seater mode there's quite a lot less space but still it's better than some other cars and you can fit two small suitcases in there and it's also room for a set of golf clubs so actually this is a rather practical car however this car isn't perfect here's five annoying things about it and like in the rest of Europe the car isn't available in the UK there's a five-seater version you can only get the 7c to which is a little bit more expensive and there's not quite so much boo true wonder if that's something to do with grexit the high-pass infotainment screen may look super briber it soon gets covered in grubby fingerprints yep this car has horrendous fake exhaust as I'll demonstrate now with my sticks of truth so lies there and here's the actual exhaust pipes hidden under here I put that the sunshade for the optional panoramic glass roof takes ages to close I'll show you now some of the time it come on bear with me stay with the video don't click out this is gonna be interesting to see how long it takes we're joking it's gonna be comment delay you got plenty of time come on come on come on yeah that's 15 seconds of your life you'll never get back in a third row seats the person on the left-hand side of the car gets a proper storage area there with a cup holder where's the purse on the right gets this little indentation I mean wasn't is supposed to do poor they're drinking they're like laughing it log cat thankfully this car is plenty of cool features to help make up for all this is 5 there's isofix anger points on the front passenger seat and you can fold its back down like that if you need to carry really long things a car load cover look at this fits neatly under here how totally awesome is that come on guys you knew I was gonna do that at some point in the video the picnic tables you can get with this car have a cool little pop out drinks holder and they've really are super sturdy so even if you have a big dinner it shouldn't all end in your lap many other cars components like the headlights have been tested in a climate chamber open for 10 days to make sure they operate over a temperature range for minus 40 to 90 degrees centigrade simply much anywhere on earth and less you're talking about inside and then okay now as well as the normal on-road driving modes if you have an all wheel drive version of this car you get off-road driving mode and these snow mode yet the taco with a choice of two petrol engines so there's a 1.5 liter turbo petrol with 150 horsepower which can do naught to 60 in 10 seconds or a 2-liter with 190 horsepower which can do naught to 60 in 8 seconds then there's two diesels both two liters one has 150 horsepower and one has 190 and that one does nought to 60 in eight seconds and the low power version in ten seconds making it the tarako with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and the all-wheel drive versions come with an automatic gearbox as standard now this particular car is a 150 horsepower 2-liter diesel front-wheel drive manual is the excellence first edition and it should cost just under 35,000 pounds but I put the details into the car configurator and I've got an offer back for just under 30,000 pounds now if you want to try it the car I can figure out and get some offers back from our trusted dealers then click on the papaya button in the top right hand corner of the screen or follow the link below the video despite being an SUV the tracker feels very car like to drive obviously you're raised up so you get a better view out with the controls steering the gearshift and brakes are all nice and easy to use it's simple to drive around town it does have slightly firmer suspension than some other SUV so you do feel Paul's a bit more but it's not too bad however if you want a bit more comfort it's definitely worth checking out the Volks I couldn't take one more space because that glides over bumps a little bit better if you click up there on the papaya in the top right hand corner the screen you can see my review of that car out on the motorway this taco does a pretty good job it's a nice easy long-distance Cruiser so the seats are comfy it's not particularly noisy just a bit of wind foot around there but that's about it also this 2-liter 150 horsepower diesel engine has lots of pulling power so fourth gear fifty miles an hour put your foot down and it can tug you up that's a bit rude took you up to 70 miles an hour but there you go terms of economy I'm getting 38 mpg which isn't great but isn't durable we need them when you get out onto a twisty road you realize that the tarako doesn't feel as sporty as other sites it just kind of roll and long up around a bit through the bends it's not terrible it's good enough really for how most people are gonna want to drive a car like this I mean there's gonna be seven people in the occasion and those in the back already crammed so they'd be feeling sick if you go too quickly around the beds now if you're after this kind of car but wasn't it looks a little bit more flamboyant then click on the pop icon in the top right corner of the screen to watch my detailed review of the Peugeot 5008 but for now my verdict on this car so should you avoid it should you consider it so you shortlist it or should you just go right ahead and buy it well I reckon you should shortlist the Scirocco it might be a little bit cramped in the very back but it's still a practical and great value 7 seater probably SUV do you agree my verdict let me know in the comments section also please subscribe to this channel for more videos and if you click on the deals box to the right you can see how much you can save on a new car at car web or click on the video windows below to watch another of my videosthis is the new Scirocco and it's a bit like some ruins let me explain you see tarako is
