The Beauty of BetterHelp: A Mental Health Resource to Nourish Your Mind and Body

Greetings, my beautiful lovelies! It's Emmy, and welcome back to today's video, sponsored by BetterHelp. This incredible platform makes professional counseling accessible, affordable, and convenient for everyone. When we're not connecting with our community, seeing our friends, or spending quality time with our loved ones in a small space, it can be easy to feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed.

That's where BetterHelp comes in – a safe, private, and online environment where you can connect with over 3,000 licensed therapists and counselors. During these trying times of social distancing and self-isolation, having a reliable resource like BetterHelp can be a lifesaver. It's the perfect tool to talk to a professional about what you're feeling, what you're dealing with, or simply need someone to listen.

One of the things I love about BetterHelp is its flexibility. You can schedule a session at any time that suits you, and there are four main modes of communication with your therapist: chat, text, video conference, or phone calls. This allows you to choose the method that works best for you, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

Another benefit is the ability to switch therapists if needed. If your counselor isn't a good fit, you can change at any time, and everything exchanged during your session remains confidential. BetterHelp truly prioritizes your mental health and well-being.

The platform also offers financial aid for those who qualify, making it more accessible to everyone who needs it. However, it's essential to note that BetterHelp is not a replacement for a crisis line. If you're in immediate need of support, please reach out to a crisis hotline or emergency services.

Now, let's talk about the recipe I'll be sharing with you today – a cookie dessert recipe that uses breadcrumbs as an ingredient. It may sound unusual, but trust me when I say it's a game-changer. The inspiration for this recipe comes from a book that caught my eye, and I'm excited to share it with you.

Before we dive into the recipe, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to BetterHelp for sponsoring this video. Your support allows me to continue sharing valuable content with all of you. (chuckles)We need two cups of fresh breadcrumbs. So, here's one half. One cup.All right, I think we've got it here. And two.So that was about fourbread ends or heels.I still have some leftoverand what I'm gonna dois just pulverize the rest of thisand this makes great breadingfor homemade chicken tendersor little chicken bakes. So our other dry ingredients include,1 1/4 cups of sugar.Whoop!Half a teaspoon of salt.Did you know Rumford baking powderoriginally came from Rumford Rhode Island?Rhode Island represent.Okay, half teaspoon of baking powder.1/3 of a cup of cocoa powder.Cocoa powder?I just had cocoa powder.Did I, hello?I just had it.Where'd I put it?Oh, ha ha.Haha.1 1/4 cups of flour.(metal clanks)So, we're gonna sift that all together. So, combine our breadcrumbsand all of our dry ingredients together.Add melted shortening and breadcrumbs.Whoops.Now we're add one egg.Whoa. (laughs)Gee, that was kinda nuts.Don't worry, my countertopwas clean. (laughs)That was a thin shelled egg.2/3 of a cup of melted shortening.I like these sticks becausethey're easy to measure.Ooh, my bowl's a little tiny.Ooh that should be interesting. So I'm gonna add my melted shortening.Mostly melted shortening. And I've got a half a cup of milk here.Just gonna add this a little at a time.I'm just gonna form this into a dough.Smells like a good old cookie dough.I almost forgot to add 11/4 teaspoon of vanilla. That's gonna effect the flavor a lot.If I hadn't added that.Vanilla's so important.I'm gonna use an ice cream scooper.Measure out my dough. It says an un-greased baking panand I'm just using asilpat lined baking sheet. Now we take this into a 350 degree ovenand bake them for fifteenminutes or until they're done.Whatever that means.Okay, see you in a little bit.Okay, my lovelies.Look at the cookies.Aren't they beautiful? They actually look great. So I looked at them initially I'm like, these cookies are gonnabe a little big strangebut now they look gorgeous.Absolutely perfect. They smell nice andcocoa-y and chocolatey. And because I used an ice creamscoop to dole out the doughthey are perfect little mounds. All right, I can't wait to taste these!Okay.I'm gonna take this one right here.Give this cookie a taste. Now this is warm right out of the oven.Look at that.It actually looks kind of cakey.Don't see the breadcrumbs at all.Itadakimasu!Mm, mm.Lovely.Mhmm.Fluffy, cakey.Yeah.Slightly fudgy.Good chocolate flavor.I think what would make this even betteris using butter instead of shortening. If it had butter instead of shortening,I think this would tastejust like a brownie.Right now, it tastes nice and cocoa-y.But it's really missingthat butter element for me.But it's a delicious cookie.Mhmm.The edges are slightly crisp. The middle is very soft and fluffy.Kind of reminds me of a mug cake. That bit of salt in there is really nice.It balances out the sugar and the edgeshave a nice little crispness to them.Very very nice recipe.Considering that there are two cupsof fresh breadcrumbs in here.Breadcrumbs.Breadcrumb cookies.Who would've known?I don't taste any breadcrumbs whatsoever. All I taste is sugar, cocoa powder, sweetness, some salt, fluffy lightness.Mhmm.These actually remind meof Italian crinkle cookies. They're a dough that's made of chocolate. And then the balls ofdough before they're bakedare rolled in confectioner sugar. And as they bake andexpand, they kinda crackand reveal the cookie dough underneath, which is this gorgeous brown color. So you get this beautifulcontrast of white and brownfor your cookies. But they're kind of fudgy and chocolateyand the texture kindof reminds me of that. Those are a little bit chewier. But I imagine as these cool, these will get chewier as well. All righty.Mhmm.There's a slight chewinessaround the edge of the cookie. All righty. So if you have leftoverbreadcrumbs or bread crusts, now you know what to do with them.Go ahead and bake yourself some cookies. As long as you have some flourand sugar available. (laughs)Thank you guys so much for watching. And big thanks to BetterHelpfor sponsoring this video.Get 10% off your first monthby heading over tobetterhelp, H-E-L-P.com/emmy.And thank you guys so much for watching.I hope you guys enjoyed that one.I hope you guys learned something. Please share this video with your friends.Follow me on social media, like this video, subscribe, and I shall see you in the next one.Toodaloo, take care.Bye!(light playful music)♪ Do do di di di di di di ♪\n"
