TISTHESEASONATHON TBR!

Tis the Seasonathon: A Holiday Readathon to Bring Cheer and Romance

As I sit down to start this Tis the Seasonathon, I must admit that I'm feeling a bit apprehensive. With virtual schooling and all the challenges that come with it, I've been reading a lot less than I used to. However, I'm excited to dive into this readathon and bring some holiday cheer into my life. For those who may not know, Tis the Seasonathon is a holiday-themed readathon that takes place in December. The event aims to bring together book lovers from around the world to share their reading experiences and connect with each other.

This year's challenges are designed to be fun and engaging, with five main categories: romance, diverse books, cozy reads, holidays, and non-book related activities. I'll be participating in all of these challenges, and I must say that I'm excited about the possibilities. First up is "Booked for Christmas" by Lilly Mellon aka Andy Mellon, a new adult romance novel that promises to be an adorable read. I've heard great things about her writing style, and I love the idea of a hotel being booked for Christmas. It sounds like a perfect winter wonderland story.

Next on my list is "Wrapped Up in You" by Talia Hibbert, another author whose books have received rave reviews from me in the past. This one promises to be an adult romance novel that explores themes of love and relationships. I'm always excited to dive into new authors and discover fresh perspectives, so I'm looking forward to reading this one.

One of my favorite aspects of readathons is participating in group reads, and this year's Tis the Seasonathon has a great lineup of holiday-themed novels. "In Time for Christmas" by Sophie Cousin is the first book on my list. This novel tells the story of two characters who meet under peculiar circumstances - they were both born on New Year's Day at the same hospital, with one being born just seconds before the other. As fate would have it, they keep running into each other over the years, and their initial attraction blossoms into something more. The tagline "How many chances to meet your perfect match?" hints at the complexities of love and relationships, which always keeps me engaged.

For my group read, I'll be joining in on "A Holiday by Christina Lauren", another holiday-themed novel that promises to be a romantic and heartwarming read. As usual, I'm excited to see how the author tackles themes of love and relationships, and I'm looking forward to being part of this online discussion.

As I reflect on my reading plans for the season, I must admit that I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. With four full-length novels and two novellas on my list, it's going to be a busy few weeks ahead. However, I'm determined to make the most of this readathon and enjoy every moment of it. Whether I'm cozied up by the fire with a good book or making gingerbread houses with family members, I know that Tis the Seasonathon is going to bring me joy and satisfaction.

One thing that sets this readathon apart from others is its focus on social media engagement. The organizers encourage participants to share their reading experiences, using hashtags like #TisTheSeasonathon and #ReadingChallenge, which makes it easy for us to connect with each other. I love seeing what my fellow readers are up to, whether they're sharing their TBRs or recommending books. It's a great way to build community and foster a sense of belonging among book lovers.

As I close this article, I want to express my gratitude to the organizers and participants of Tis the Seasonathon for bringing so much joy and enthusiasm into our lives. Whether you're a seasoned reader or just starting out on your reading journey, there's something special about participating in a readathon like this one. So, if you haven't already, be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #TisTheSeasonathon, and join the fun! Let's make this holiday season one to remember.

plan to read the 12 dates of christmas by jenny bayless the cover is freaking adorable so this one is all about a character named kate who lives in this really small town of um blexford england and she just is not in the holidays she wants to find love but can't and so basically her best friend signs are up for this dating app and what do you know she has 12 dates before christmas and each one's not that great the whole town's watching and she realizes that maybe she doesn't love any of the dates but maybe a best friend's been under her nose the entire time it just sounds like a cute holiday read do i expect it's going to be amazing no but i'm expecting it to make me smile and have all the warm fuzzies inside so that's one for that challenge right there and the next challenge is to read a book you meant to get to this year but didn't i have so many of those but for one for this one i immediately knew was queen move by kennedy ryan i bought this on ebook like at the beginning or when it came out yet to read it i don't even know what it's about i know it's an adult romance book i want to say it's about two characters that were childhood best friends and then they meet again in the future and i think become more i don't know i've heard amazing things about it i can't wait to read it because i love romance and yeah this is one for sure that i have been meaning to read but didn't it's gonna be adorable and as you can see it has lots of lights all on the cover next challenge is to read a diverse book so for this one i'm actually going to read two i have two novellas that i really want to read this year and i'll be honest with you i don't know what either of them are about but romance and i was like that's all i need to know first up is booked for christmas by lilly mellon aka andy mellon who writes way books this is an adult um romance because she has her newest book an adult romance coming out next year and i'm guessing it's gonna be something about like a hotel booked for christmas i don't know it sounds adorable gonna read it and the other one from my diverse book is wrapped up in you by talia hibbert i've read several tally gilbert's books before loved it don't know anything about it don't even need to know for either of them so yeah those are my two diverse reads and their novellas which i love reading during any sort of readathons and i'm really excited about them i'm probably going to read them and love them and wish they were full-length novels and our last challenge is to read a cozy read for this one i am reading this time next year by kofi by sophie cousins so this is about two characters that figure out that they were born like on new year's day at the same hospital like satan towns and everything and like the guy beat out the girl by like a mere second or two to be like the first baby born or whatever in that hospital and so they meet like obviously many years later and they are attracted to each other but they have nothing in common like it's like he's kind of privileged she is not and so they're like we should date but like we don't really want to and fate keeps throwing them together again and again they keep running into each other the tagline says how many chances to meet your perfect match so it's like are they supposed to be in love should they be in love it just sounds super romantic and adorable kind of got that christmas new year's thing going on which i am all for like i said our bonus extra challenge is our group read which again is in a holidays by christina lauren so i'll be reading this one so if you take that all to account i plan to read four full-length novels and two novellas that's a lot do i think i can do it i always say i don't know what these readathons i mean there's a good chance because they're all romance and i can fly through that but honestly this year with virtual schooling and stuff it's going to be hard i'm reading a lot less than i used to when virtual schooling is starting i'm sure a lot of parents can attest to that but nevertheless i'm very excited to read all of them and what i feel about them i think the one i'm most excited about for some reason is this time next year because it just sounds so intriguing to me and i love all the stars from the cover i don't know but yeah um as far as so those are our challenges as far as the bingo board goes the five challenges are incorporated in the bingo board so what i do with this i don't know i'm gonna try to do as many like non-book challenges on here as possible for the week like read in front of the fire or make a gingerbread house um or you know make a book snowman read a christmas classic i'm going to use a kids classic for that looking at you polar express so i'm going to try to do all of them that aren't book related on the bingo board because i just want to vlog it and have a good time so yeah i will be vlogging um i'll try i think i failed the last two years of tis the season with vlogging
