**A Comprehensive Review of the NZXT S340 Case**
As I began to set up my build with the NZXT S340 case, I was impressed by how seamlessly it integrated with the components. With the s340 or the Fractal Core 3500, the chassis seems to hit every aspect of what is needed in a case without any major compromises and that is very difficult to achieve at this price point. The only elements that reveal the value nature of the product are some minor imperfections, such as slight tone mismatch on the plastic panels that can be easily spotted, thin side panels that have a fair amount of flex, and a slight weakness in the frame.
Despite these minor issues, I was able to find no major deal-breakers and would strongly recommend this case for first-time builders. The side panel window, although not particularly wide, still provides an adequate view of the internal components, and its attachment with screws is a pleasant touch. However, it does scratch easily, and a simple nail swipe can introduce marks.
The front panel has a fine brushed aluminum look that adds a bit of elegance to the overall design. The close-up finish is quite detailed, making the case stand out from the crowd. Additionally, the front panel is easily removable with a built-in dust filter, which is a great feature for maintaining airflow and keeping dust at bay.
The rear of the case features dual 140mm fan holes, as well as two SSD brackets that are easily removable with a thumb screw. The space provided between these brackets allows for easy cable management, making it easier to route cables without any issues. The finish system feels spacious, providing an extra height advantage that complements all-in-one water cooling systems beautifully.
One area where the case falls short is in terms of cable color matching. The front panel cables are a pale orange color, which clashes with the blue LED fan and other components. Adding rubber grommets to the cutouts around the motherboard would be a nice touch, as many cables reveal all the cabling behind it.
Cable management was, however, a breeze in this case, thanks to numerous cable tie points throughout the back of the case. I made sure to keep my cables flat and organized, making it easy to work with. The rear of the case is fully dust-proof, and the large dust filter spans the entire floor, providing an additional layer of protection against dust.
**A Closer Look at Key Features**
* **Fan Installation**: The case comes equipped with a single blue LED fan inside, which adds a touch of color to the design. However, this leaves some users wondering if dual fans would have been better suited for this particular case.
* **SSD Brackets**: The SSD brackets are removable and face towards the front of the chassis, making cable routing easier than it would be if they were facing down.
* **Cable Management**: Cable management is a breeze in this case, thanks to numerous cable tie points throughout the back of the case. The spacing between cables is more than sufficient to accommodate any build, even those with longer GPUs.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, the NZXT S340 case is an outstanding and almost perfect frame for accommodating any hardware requirements for your build. While some corners had to be cut to preserve that really competitive $65 price, all of the elements that add to an enjoyable and seamless building experience were preserved. Knowing that Silverstone will most likely see an upgraded version of the KL05 with perhaps premium materials and more refined interior, I would still recommend this case to anyone in the market for a budget-friendly option.
**Special Mention**
One thing worth mentioning is the finish system, which provides an extra height advantage that complements all-in-one water cooling systems beautifully. The finish system also allows for easy installation of dual 120mm or 140mm fans at the rear, providing ample airflow and keeping temperatures in check.
With a well-designed case like the NZXT S340, it's clear why this is one of those cases to consider if it's within your budget. This is a damn good value product that deserves to be recommended.

value oriented chassis from Silverstone this is the Kublai k05 at this price range the Kuai k05 is up against some tough competition particularly from NZXT with the s340 or the fractal core 3500 but the chassi seems to hit every aspect of what is needed in a case without any major compromises and that is very difficult to achieve at this price point now there are some elements that reveal the value nature of the product like slight tone mismatch on the plastic panels that can be easily spotted and the thin side panels that have a fair amount of flex and also the slight weakness in the although sorry to report it scratches easily a simple nail swipe would introduce marks the plastic finish has a fine brushed aluminum look that adds a bit of Elegance close up the front panel is easily removable with a built-in dust filter and only one blue LED fan is included inside the case for a littleit touch of color with dual 140 mil fan holes available at the front as well also notice use this space for a thick radiator and actually have more internal clearance above the motherboard uh for example I installed the 38 mm thick radiator at the top and kept the fence below low for a less cluttered interior and this space is compatible with dual 120 or 140 mm fans at the back we find the 120 mil fan mount with some height adjustment just slight uh eight PCI slots and thumb screws that stay with the panel on both panels I love this feature coming to the bottom a large dust filter spans the entire floor uh I really dislike these type of dust filters as they are extremely cumbersome to remove and install back but at least the case is fully dust proof on the inside there are many cutouts for cable management uh either Drive cage can be removed to accommodate for extra air flow or have that midsection completely open with one cage on the floor and one at the top to allow clearance for gpus longer than 11 in also the cage platform is uh removable that would allow installation of dual 120 M fans for extra air flow at the bottom coming around to the back I was honestly surprised to find these two SSD brackets that are easily removable with a thumb screw and they are facing towards the front of the chassis that makes cable routing easier than uh if they were to face down the spacing is also plenty to TU away any cables at the rear and here is a finish system I love how spacios it feels and that extra height Advantage complement all-in-one water cooling systems beautifully I was even able to slightly color match the build to the blue LED fan with a blue ring plate on the cooler and also some blue accents on the GTX 970 now if there is one thing that I would suggest that would make this the best budget case we've reviewed that would be the inclusion of rubber grommets there are just so many cutouts around the motherboard that reveal all the cabling behind it and while it's a clean system regardless at least having rubber grommets for the two large cutouts in the front of the power supply would be nice and lastly cable management was a total Breeze there are many cable Ty points all over the back and I made sure they were as flat as possible so what Silverstone has released here is an outstanding and almost perfect frame to accommodate for any hardware requirements for your build some Corners had to be cut to preserve that really competitive
