As I hold the Samsung Galaxy Star, it's clear that this is one affordable Android handset from Samsung. With a retail price of Rs. 4,800 in India and approximately $85, this phone is designed for those on a tight budget. Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy Star

The Samsung Galaxy Star comes in a compact size, making it a great option for those who want a small and lightweight phone. Unlocking the Samsung Galaxy Star

The good thing about the Samsung Galaxy Star is that it comes pre-installed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This means that Google Now is available for use on this device. To access Google Now, simply press and hold the home screen button for a while, and you'll see the G button appear. Pressing the G button will launch Google Now, which can answer various questions.

Using Google Now

I decided to test out Google Now by asking it some questions. I started with "Will it rain today?" The response from Google Now indicated that there's a chance of storm in Hydrat today, with a temperature of 33°C. This worked perfectly, so I was excited to try more questions.

Next, I asked about the height of Mount Everest, which Google Now correctly answered as 8,848 meters tall. You can ask Google Now some interesting questions, such as asking for the current time in New York or converting currency. For example, I asked what $1 is equal to in Indian rupees, and the response was 59.91 INR.

Google Now also allows you to set reminders and appointments. I created a reminder to pay my credit card bill tomorrow, and Google Now correctly set an alarm for me. This feature works well, making it easy to stay organized with your schedule.

WhatsApp Compatibility

Unfortunately, WhatsApp is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Star. When I tried to open WhatsApp, it displayed a message stating that the device isn't compatible. This may be a drawback for some users who rely on messaging apps like WhatsApp.
