The Art of Drifting: A Journey Through Time and Car Culture

As I sit here reminiscing about my journey as a car enthusiast, I am reminded of the countless hours I've spent tinkering with engines, chasing horsepower, and pushing the limits of what's possible on four wheels. My trusty old wagon, affectionately known as WAGO, has been a faithful companion on this wild ride, and its story is one I'm eager to share.

I still remember the thrill of slapping together a makeshift engine, hoping against hope that it would breathe life into my old girl. The countless hours spent scrounging for parts, scavenging for scraps, and cobbling together a motley crew of components to create something, anything, that would get me moving again. It was a labor of love, fueled by a passion for speed, power, and the sheer joy of creation.

Of course, no story about WAGO would be complete without mentioning my dear friend Charlie. We met under the guise of drifting lessons, where I would regale my students with tales of my own misadventures behind the wheel. It was during one such session that I first laid eyes on Charlie's trusty wagon, which had been quietly waiting in the background, eager to be revived.

As fate would have it, Charlie eventually got his hands on the car again, and we embarked on a journey of restoration and rebirth. The process was far from straightforward, however – a faulty alternator had forced us to abandon our plans for a road trip to the mountains, where I would take my trusty wagon out for a spin.

The waiting game began, with Hayden patiently working his magic behind the scenes to get Charlie's wagon back up and running. It was during this interlude that I reflected on how far I'd come since launching my channel nearly three years ago. The journey has been nothing short of remarkable, with each milestone marking a significant step forward in my pursuit of speed, power, and the unwavering passion that drives me.

As I look back on those early days, it's amazing to think about just how far we've come. WAGO may have started out as a humble project, but over time it has evolved into so much more – a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to the craft.

Speaking of which, I'm thrilled to announce that 2020 promises to be an exciting year for my channel. Hayden has promised to keep us in the loop regarding Charlie's wagon, and we can't wait to see it come back to life in all its glory. The days ahead hold plenty of surprises, including a revamped lineup of cars, some seriously epic drift sessions, and maybe even a few special guests joining us on our adventures.

saying that it just lost oil pressure and had a slight knock like he could hardly hear it so I just shut it off and towed it back home and it's just sad ever since so we're gonna go ahead today we're gonna actually go get some food first we hungry and then come back pull the motor out take the pan off and see what it needs I imagine I'm where we're hoping it just needs some bearings into a crank and maybe like a head gasket and then we just lock it back together see we can make like three four on our horsepower on this setup got to go rip him in the snow again yeah for real if it snows again bad so yeah rip them hard it is no around March you know yeah sure yeah I'm down - I'm down to do a whole bunch of stuff with them yeah that's pretty sick man obviously for all the guys that may not know this thing this is one of the og cars that started it all back when I first got the blue one me and Charlie were working on this one back in the day - and it's finally time to get it back up and going he's gonna knock it out I had to bring trouser back out - just for the og guys cuz he's choking me out right now yeah is he actually choking you pretty hard dude he's he's squeezing pretty good I think he's just cold oh yeah he's trying to warm up yeah I didn't turn his heat lamp on this morning yeah well catch ya maybe someday - it'll it'll end up somewhere - yours all k swamped and looking all fancy and stuff maybe man I also I have the old D Series out of mine if you need parts so maybe maybe if we need a trainee yeah my father I have the training of it all he was saying that uh all the mischief stuff dick sticks it's got a good clutch in it now it's got a comp Stage five oh yeah same with the comp Stage five it's just great now so maybe that whole time maybe the whole time it wasn't the flip-flops messing it up it was it was just the clutch it is crazy to see you though can't believe it's back in this garage never thought I'd see the day yeah don't look inside the car make like a reliable three to four horsepower and just have some fun with it and beat the crap out of it you know let him drive it like you guys go rip it do whatever you know like we could rip it with you do whatever have a whole bunch of fun with it I think Brent's gonna be like all excited wants to get back together and like bring it back he's gonna be because of how many times he's tuned this thing yeah he's gonna be all excited - yeah - think about that buddy it's been a while well after seeing Charlie's wagon back kind of makes me want to fire mine up and let her stretch her legs maybe go take you to the car wash real quick and wipe this thing off because she has been sitting she's pretty gross yeah this makes me miss this thing I know a lot of you guys have been messaging me about why goes well asking where it's at what the next plans are for this thing and it will be coming soon just got a hold in there guys but she's been running great still just on the stock motor 300 horsepower turned way down because this is the K 28 3 so these aren't the very strong ones but yeah I had it sitting on the trickle charger for a little bit see if this thing will fire up and you can alternator kind of fell off on us I don't think it ever fails for something years to break when me and you tour together I guess you've been so good I've drove it back and forth to the shop I mean it has been sitting but I mean it's been so good we took the hatch out you've got to plug in the alt later we're at the intersection you hop out you're like sure to plug it well we're gonna see if it might bump start just to get it back we're just down the street from my house but freaking why I go come on why powerhouse go nope he was on it's just dead now she dead well white crv coming in clutch it for your tow rig so never send one side breakdown just flat toilet behind all your race cars every time you take him on the street and be a good idea where I go has a track record of breaking down on the side of the road we've that battery dad you can't even get out anymore yes sir it's something with you I was just thinking about it on the way back my hatch blew up you happen to be there to tow that back and when Charlie's whack out blew up you happen to be there to tow that back to blew up you're always there when they blow up or something happens so what's the verdict here got it all apart looking good trashed can't swear on the Internet professional engine builder here and all I gotta say is it's yeah wrong with your voice he was out partying dude came out no sir Club in it yeah - I thought it was like you thought you said you found it in the pickup I thought it was like in your truck what are you well yeah look - in like all the Pistons the valves were nichkhun yeah in backwards or something yeah cause that's the intake side yeah yeah it's are bigger I guarantee the pistons were in backwards yeah and then there was no dowels in the head either and then it's fun number three rod bearing and then all the mains were wiped out what are you thinking on it so what we're thinking is rods look like they're good so and then Kyle has an extra set of rods too and he's got his his crank from his wago motor so we'll probably end up either finding like a d16 c6 or y8 and yeah but then we got to get new Pistons we're gonna have a super loose piston to wall yeah it's just this one like look that's yeah doesn't that seem to fill out that wrist pins just riding the wall right there well I was gonna say you could get new Pistons and just yeah but then use this badass the blog but but for 300 horsepower we're gonna make four horsepower we don't need a sleep lock you know I'm saying and that's not only to is like this thing's been throw too many setups like I don't even know if s imagine girl for this and like maybe and then it doesn't make sense why the maintance it would be so but did you mention that to that the mains were like really mean draft you know motor just one Pistons a little little hurt so you know to me though whatever I was planning on keeping it at this point you never even ended up putting one together you would've sold it to so don't even give me that I was you wanted to you wanted my single cam for his a little street car but they need just sold everything so that would evolve that's all that would have happened to it then it would be on and then you wouldn't have nothing all here to put it together if I just had a complete engine I didn't have to buy crap you don't gotta guilt me like that yeah coming out of the way go miss WAGO I missed the hatch I mean I always make these videos when I'm back at home like they'll get their love eventually guys we do have a lot of big plans for 2020 so I think WAGO is gonna be getting some love the hatch is gonna be getting some love all the cars are going to be revamped hopefully this upcoming year we have a lot of stuff planned so that should be really awesome and it is just crazy to see that Charlie's wagon is back over here I never thought I'd see that again I was really hoping he would fix it himself and you know get it back up and gone but you know at least Hayden got ahold of it I know that they're wanting to get it back up and going and it would really be cool to see I'm gonna back up and going and get the setup working like how it was and then maybe you know let Charlie drive his car again but man for all the og subscribers watching this video right now we came a ways so if you really remember how I got started when the channel was first kind of created it looks nothing like when I first had this thing so for only being a little over three years old that's how old our channel is now it turned three years old this last August was actually it's three year anniversary so a lot has definitely happened in that amount of time for sure and yeah I do have a lot of plans for this thing later on I do want to build the motor upgrade the and go fast with WAGO because all the drive system and this is just awesome and I really want to take advantage of that and go do some fun stuff with the car oh yeah nothing me talking all day I think that's gonna be it for this video didn't have too much going on this weekend didn't really even go to shop at all so it was kind of weird to make a video back at the house like the good old days and yeah so
