Android M - What Can We Expect

**Android M: A Game-Changing Update for Workplaces and Personal Devices**

The upcoming Android M update is expected to bring significant changes to both workplaces and personal devices. As Android devices flood into workspaces as part of the "bring your own device" trend, employers are looking for ways to manage and secure their employees' mobile devices. Android M may offer more options for configuration and control in IT departments, including employee tracking features. This would be a welcome development, as it would enable companies to better monitor and manage their employees' use of company-owned devices.

One feature that has been speculated about is the improvement of security credentials. Android M may beef up security by introducing new user authentication techniques, making it easier for users to maintain security based on their device. This could include more robust encryption methods, improved malware protection, and enhanced secure boot processes. Additionally, Android M may introduce more voice controls, allowing users to navigate around their devices with voice alone. This feature was originally scheduled as a separate session but seems to have been removed from the schedule.

However, not everyone is thrilled about these changes, and some are hoping for more fundamental improvements to the Android experience. One of the most pressing issues facing Android users is unified notifications. When you receive a notification on one device, it can be frustrating when you see the same notification on your smartwatch or tablet as well. Android M may address this issue by introducing proper synchronization on notifications, allowing users to dismiss notifications on all devices once they've been dismissed on one.

Another feature that has been missing from Android is split-screen and floating apps. While manufacturers like Samsung have led the way with these features, Google's stock Android experience has lagged behind. With Android M, it's hoped that Google will finally integrate split-screen and floating app functionality into its platform. This would make it easier for users to multitask on their devices, especially when using larger screens.

For some users, however, the biggest change they'd like to see is a unified media hub. Imagine being able to access all your podcasts, audiobooks, and videos in one place, with seamless syncing across multiple devices. This feature has been missing from Android for far too long, and it's high time that Google introduced a true media hub.

**What Do You Want to See in Android M?**

So, what do you want to see in the upcoming Android M update? With so many features on the horizon, it's exciting to think about what improvements could make our lives easier. For some users, improved security and performance are top of the list. Others may be hoping for a unified notifications system or better support for split-screen and floating apps.

Ultimately, everyone has their own wishlist when it comes to Android M. Whether you're looking for more advanced voice controls, a unified media hub, or just general improvements to the Android experience, there's something on this list that will resonate with most users. So, let us know in the comments below: what is your number one feature that you hope Android M will include?
