UKG BOOK - 2 THEME 4 - MY HOME DAY - 2 (V32)

The Importance of Doors in Our Life

Good morning, students! I'm pleased to meet you again and hope that you're all enjoying my sessions today. As we begin our lesson, I'd like to ask: do you know what we're going to learn about today? We're going to talk about the importance of doors in our lives. Doors are very important for our safety, privacy, and keeping pets and trains out of our house.

Doors keep our material safe, just like when we're in class with our pencils, books, bags, and water bottles. If we don't know where they are, we might misplace them, which can be a problem at home too. When we're not looking, our things can still be there, but if the door is locked, no thief can steal them from our house. Doors also keep pets out of our house and prevent any unwanted visitors. Without doors, we wouldn't have privacy in our lives.

In addition to keeping us safe and private, doors are also responsible for our safety when we're alone at home. When someone knocks on the door, it's essential to ask who is there before opening it. We should never open the door without knowing who it is, as this can put us at risk. For example, if someone says "knock knock," and then says "I'm here, please open the door," we shouldn't open it until we're sure it's safe to do so.

Now, let's move on to a fun activity! Please open your book to page five, where you'll find a picture of a door. Can anyone tell me what this is? This is indeed a picture of a door. Now, can anyone identify the letter that the word "door" begins with? That's correct – it starts with the letter D!

Doors are not just limited to one specific word; there are many words that start with the letter D, such as "deed," "dog," "doll," and "drum." Can you think of any other words that start with this letter?

Now, please open page six of your book, where you'll find a picture of a rectangle. Your task is to trace the shape and color it with your favorite color. What's your favorite color, ma'am? My favorite color is yellow.

As we continue our lesson, please look at two pictures in front of you – one is a door, and the other is a window. Can anyone tell me which picture is rectangular in shape? That's correct – it's the door! Now, can you trace the door and color it with your favorite color?

Next, I'd like to ask you to open page 40 of your book, where you'll find a story about rhyming tales. I hope you've enjoyed the stories so far. As we finish our lesson today, please take note that doors are essential for keeping us safe and private, and we should always be mindful of them when they're closed.

Good morning, students! It's my pleasure to meet you again, and I hope you've enjoyed our session today. Remember, the importance of doors in our lives cannot be overstated. By understanding their significance and taking care of them, we can ensure a safer and more secure living space for ourselves and those around us.

Please keep practicing your tracing skills with the door pictures, and don't forget to stay indoors and stay safe! Thank you for listening, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
