Google Pixel 5 in 2020

The Motorola RAZR is back and it's bringing back the familiar foldable form factor that many people who grew up with the original Razor will remember fondly. The new phone brings back the satisfaction of ending a call by closing it, which was a unique feature of the original Razr. This time around, however, the foldable design opens up into a regular-sized phone, a 6.2-inch screen.

The specs may be disappointing to some, as it has a Snapdragon 710 processor in there and only a 16 megapixel main camera, with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. There are two displays, one on the inside and one on the outside, which can be used for taking selfies. Unfortunately, the phone lacks more premium specs, such as the 855 or 865 chips that many would have liked to see.

However, there is a fun Easter egg in the phone that will turn it into looking like the old original Razor. This soft spot in my heart, however, does not translate to a soft spot in my wallet, as the phone costs around $1500 on Verizon.

As we wait for more information about this phone, I tried not to flash forward too far until the end of the year. But if we're looking at the holidays 2020, there's one phone that I think you should be pumped about: the Microsoft Surface Duo. It's a dual-screen phone that doesn't really have a foldable design but instead has a hinge with two displays, each measuring 5.6 inches.

The surface duo was announced earlier this year and had sort of sit-downs with the Snapdragon 5500 processor - though conflicting reports have shown that it may actually use the Snapdragon 865. The UI looks amazing on both screens, and it's easy to switch between them seamlessly. It also has a dual hinge that allows you to adjust the angle of the screen, making it perfect for using as a keyboard or doing different things on each screen.

I'm excited to see how I'll use this phone on a daily basis, but I love that Microsoft is back in the phone game and pushing the industry forward. Samsung, however, is not sitting idly by and let others take the spotlight in 2020. They announced their new lineup of phones, starting with the S20 line.

The S20 line includes the ES 20, S20 plus, and the S20 ultra, all of which will offer close to the same features but at different specs and price points. The electric starts at around $1500, while other models in the lineup start even lower. However, Samsung also announced the Z Flip, a new phone that takes kind of a Razor-esque approach to the clamshell design.

Unlike the original Razr, which opens up into a tablet form factor, the Z Flip opens up into more of a conventional form factor. And unlike the RAZR, it has more premium specs inside of it, such as the Snapdragon 865 processor and a high-quality camera system. I got to try out the Z Flip with Adam Patterson from CNET, and once we got to the office, we were pretty excited to get our hands on it.

Overall, there are many exciting things coming out in 2020 for Android fans. Whether you're into foldable phones or dual-screen devices, there's something for everyone this year. The Motorola RAZR, Surface Duo, and Z Flip are just a few of the new phones that I'm excited to see in action and put my hands on.

batteries are getting bigger cameras are getting better and more are being added to these phones it was an awesome 12 months for the world of Google but 2020 looks to be even better than last year and there's a lot of awesome new tech and more importantly I think new phones to look forward to in this year so let me run down some of the expected Android phones for 2020 that I am most pumped up if phone of your choice so the pixel four at this point is still kind of a baby it's your long life cycle but October is not that far away never too early to think about the pixel five and might this be the year we get the mythical ultra pixel I don't know we know a couple things for sure first to get the pixel five right I think they first have to fix some of the problems that we plagued the pixel for and the 4xl namely battery life it has to be better this time around that was a one knock on the floor in the 4xl with the great phone's battery life was a disappointment and giving the consumer more options with the camera in the video I want to shoot a 30 or 60 give me that choice back that's what Android to Italy has been about and Google kind of limited that with the pixel four I'm optimistic in thinking the new technologies that we didn't get in the last gen pixel will be here so perhaps the face ID sensors that can unlock with your face will maybe be hidden behind the screen or be smaller this generation and be sure the cameras will be amazing from three to four Google added a second camera on the back perhaps we'll see a third this time around also I think we need huge steps up in screen for the price around $1000 usually for the higher-end high SPECT XL I'm expecting certain things now so 120 Hertz screens something I think is going to be the expectation especially when you look at towards the end of the year when the one pluses and the Samsung have already come out with their phones before we get to the next phones I do want to give a big thank you in a shout-out to HP for sponsoring this video and I've got with me the brand spankin new HP Pavilion x360 rocking Intel's the latest and greatest their 10th gen processor this guy's got an i7 on board along with the Intel 10th Genna 7 you also get their you HD graphics enable you to do pretty much anything that you want so obviously you can do your word processing your web browsing stuff but also be a bit more powerful do some light gaming light editing photo or video on here if laptop can hang what pretty much everything you want to throw at it so it's a convertible laptop so you can flip it all the way around meaning you could rock it as a tablet you could put it in tent mode you can put it in presentation mode I think is the best for watching movies on an airplane come to the stylus so you can write on it as well the 14 inch IPS panel that's got plenty of i/o as well you've got a couple USB type a ports you've got a USB type-c a full-size SD card slot so the Pavilion x360 14 T sounds like something that you are interested in we'll link to it down below you can spec it however you want if you want to buy it from retail store the different specs available to get the perfect laptop for you so one plus has been on an absolute tear really since the original oneplus one but the past few generations have been beasts and I cannot wait for the 1+8 around the may ish timeline Pete Lau has been saying 120 Hertz display is a shoo-in that as a fact will make its way to the 1+8 snapdragon 865 will be on board I'd expect 16 gigs of ram but was one plus you never know there could be McLaren Edition might be the first to get us to an insane 32 gigabytes of RAM on board but a notable thing about the 1 plus 8 might be the first one plus phone with a reverse course and give us wireless charging which I'll be pretty pumped about I think of all the phones on this list that are sort of traditional form factors the 1 plus 8 is probably one that I am most excited about I love their take on Android I think you get the best of Android actually from one plus it's also been rumors about a smaller one plus eight one plus eight light have all the light ish stuff for less money and that does come that should come around the same may as timeframe as the regular one plus the Motorola RAZR the first one that I ever waited in line for was the og razor fun store actually waited next to Ryan Seacrest to pick up this phone it brings back the familiar foldable form factor that maybe some of you guys never got to experience the satisfaction of ending a phone call by closing it things you love about or I guess loath about Motorola's take on Android will be here as well there's a fun little Easter egg inside of it though that'll turn it into looking like the old original you're gonna have to deal with sort of a foldable display you get two separate screens a little sort of let you have a really solid 90 degrees if you want to use one as a keyboard or do different things on both screens I'm excited to least see it how I'm going to use this phone on a daily basis I don't know but I love that Microsoft is back in the phone game pushing the whole industry forward
