Christmas 2014 - Part One

The Gift-Giving Experience: A Chaotic and Joyful Descent into Christmas Cheer

As I unwrapped my gifts, my eyes widened with excitement and anticipation. The first gift, a mysterious box with a blue wrapping paper, was met with skepticism. "Oh no, what is it?" I asked myself. Is it something to be excited about or something that might cause harm? My dad reassured me that it was not a camera, specifically not a drop cam, but rather a device that was going to make our lives easier.

The box was revealed to be a new gadget, which my dad had purchased for me as a gift. I was thrilled and couldn't wait to try it out. As we set up the device, my dad mentioned that it worked with Nest products, which only added to its excitement. The box itself was beautifully packaged, with a bow on top, making it look like a present from Santa himself.

As we continued unwrapping gifts, I spotted a big box in the corner of the room. "What's this?" I asked my dad, who replied that it was a special surprise for me. As he opened the box, I caught a glimpse of something pink and fluffy inside. It turned out to be a plush toy of Mortal Kombat's Scorpion, which brought back nostalgic memories.

The gift-giving session continued, with my mom revealing a beautifully wrapped box adorned with a bow. "Is this for you?" she asked, and when I replied that it was indeed meant for me, she smiled and said, "I know, I've been wanting to give it to you for years." The object inside the box was revealed to be a 3D figurine of the movie "Planet of the Apes", which sparked my interest.

As we delved deeper into the unwrapping process, we stumbled upon a Blu-ray disc with a 3D twist. My dad joked that he had spent too much money on me, but I reassured him that it was worth it. The Blu-ray disc was revealed to be an exclusive edition of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", complete with 3D visuals.

The gift-giving session took a surprising turn when my mom pulled out a printed gift card from a store called "The Lion Store" or "store.com". I had no idea what it was for, but she explained that it was a surprise. The card was valued at $50, which was a generous amount for a gift.

As we wrapped up the gift-giving session, my dad mentioned that he had purchased a set of makeup brushes as part of his usual annual shopping tradition. I expressed my interest in getting some new makeup tools, and he jokingly told me to learn how to use them myself. However, he did agree to grab some accessories for our upcoming camping trip.

In the midst of all the excitement, we discovered a beautiful shower curtain that had been hidden away in a box. My dad revealed that it was part of his gift-giving package and would be perfect for our new camper. I couldn't wait to use it during my yearly camping trip.

As we neared the end of the gift-giving session, my mom pulled out one final surprise – a set of makeup brushes. She explained that they were designed specifically for handbags and overnight bags, making them perfect for travel. The brush was revealed to be made of high-quality materials and would last for a long time.

Finally, we discovered a small toy in the corner of the room, which my dad claimed belonged to his son Hunter. He joked that it was one of Hunter's favorite toys, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia.

As the gift-giving session came to an end, I realized that each gift had brought a unique excitement and joy into our lives. From the mysterious box to the beautiful shower curtain, every present had been carefully chosen to bring us closer together as a family.
