The Best 64: Cars Ever Done So Racing is Underway at ZMAX

As we set out to find the best 64 cars ever built, racing is underway at zmax and a few updates have been following my favorite car of the trip. Richey Crampton's Johnny Lambert has been making waves with his crazy funny car engine powered wagon, which made an exhibition pass on the third day. Unfortunately, they had to drop out on the first day due to mechanical issues, but they're back and ready to rock.

The contraption is a sight to behold, with 3,000 horsepower blown Hemi 3000 plus, making it one of the craziest cars ever built. Not just limited to street driving, Johnny's car features a throttle body right on the engine, which was a game-changer for Street driving. Another favorite car on display is Green Nitro Coupe, unfortunately, it suffered from a mechanical issue on the road last night and didn't make it to the track today.

With that, we're off to the track and will be showing you some of the highlights from today's 9-6 event at ZMAX. The driver took a few laps, but had to slow down due to issues with the car. Despite this, they were able to hit speeds of over 140 miles an hour. We'll also be watching as Ben tries to make up ground in the javelin pack, and see if he can come out on top.

As we head into day three of Drag Week, we're excited to see what's in store for us. The road ahead is full of surprises, including traffic from evacuation centers and a few mechanical issues that need to be ironed out. But with the right attitude and determination, these drivers will make it through and come out on top.

The road trip continues, as we hit the open road and head towards Bristol, Tennessee for the fourth competition day. With Hurricane Florence still causing chaos in the area, we're hopeful that the weather will be a lot better up there. We'll be seeing plenty of straight lacers and expert drivers, so it's anyone's game.

As we make our way to Bristol, we've got word of a few cars that are out, including the infamous Dirty Thirty. Unfortunately, Tom Bailey's car has been torn apart, and he and Steve are trying to figure out why. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for them, hoping that they can get back on the road soon.

little warmer you got a/c working this year break this whole easier Turini parking lot the brake strip this is way better than or maybe first of all this parking lot smooth Atlanta has the gravel list now I made it to Charlotte the hotel and there's like seven hotels here so we're gonna check out the pits at the golf cart how many guys is the tape to work on a Mopar locked at least two let's check out the belching yeah and out there were so close to the shock oh yeah and they have those custom valve covers in all race ready for tomorrow yeah we're gonna take extra time yeah after what we've been through this is like walking for a minute roughly coming out of Atlanta on interstate 85 we're gonna like three miles on the interstate it starts pouring yeah I says my wife we're getting off the next exit first check trailer goes by the car moves a little bit now I see a couple more coming and the cart which little and it just snapped really so we're doing a 360 in regular lane now we're spinning into the passing lane and between nose and tail of tractor trailers we go right in between those two into the median doing another 360 and I don't know how I did it but I kept it off the cable guardrail yeah weather sucks weather sucks yeah today was all right maybe through the rain oh that's right you got tread on these oh yeah better off than happy because yeah what's your average right now eight zero zero two and we're gonna go first seven average that should be pretty easy if you would have got line first in the morning with that seven now but we got screwed so sort some things out yeah we are doing that tomorrow would be first thing you didn't get done yeah I just said rockers he's run the rock I don't want to do anything tomorrow everyone's been doing that okay all injectors and uh I have aspirin injectors with me but there's a fuel a few other little things that are going on and just combination of things that uh says uh put it back together and come back next
