Using OBS with Your Cell Phone as a Webcam: A Tutorial

Screen Recording Current Chorion to Get Me

The button screen recorded current chorion to get me when I build a core grant that's fine because I'm screen recording this and there you go so that's it. So now we're gonna go over to in the the OBS but real quick you have controls of audio and it gives you signal here you can also turn on high quality mode that's that one now it's in high quality mode it'll appear a little bit better or you can just leave it on low quality or regular quality and you can even do zoom in'. You're gonna just brighten this. You can turn the flash on and off and you can overlay a grid whatever the case is as long as the button is red you are able to get you get your feed into OBS so here we are at the desktop assuming MDI is active turned on on your phone we're gonna be looking at OBS right here.

Making Sure the OBS NDI Plugin is Installed

Basically and you got to make sure that the OBS NDI plugin has already been installed. The video on that will be linked in the description below so make sure you check that out as well as the top 10 factorial questions thing that we did for it excuse me so let's do it so we're down here in your sources so you're just gonna want to add a source and you're gonna add an NDI source. Adding an NDS source is what's what you need to do here so what's important so I'm going to just call it cellphone so you see here localhost May held mate 9 that's what I called my while were you mate 9 and bandwidth set to highest sync internal basically I'm not doing anything this is where it is and I'm just gonna press ok and I press ok and boom there you see it up there in the corner right now it's in low quality mode I'm gonna reach over to it right now and I'm going to switch over to high quality mode and you'll see you'll see the difference and so there's high quality it's a larger picture and you can take that you can fit it into a little window however you want something like that or or you make it the full screen if you really wanted to transform fit to screen there you go.

Testing Focus

Again you can also test the focus here so the the support touch the focus that's what I'm doing and trying to get the folks on the computer back there there boom focus grab dad there so as you can see here I'm waving my hand in front of it you see here there's not a lot of lag in it so I'm gonna show you just okay so we're recording right now on the computer and I'm going to point the camera at me I'm lifting it up from where it is and here we are I am not sure how synchronized this is right now that's something you guys will have to play with but the phone does so have its own internal microphone audio so let's test that real quick so yeah this isn't talking now phone is turned on on the camera so rather the phone so this is how that sounds and there you go.
