The Importance of Organization: A Tour of My Home and My IKEA Haul

As I walk through my home, you'll notice that everything has its place. From the kitchen utensils stored in clear glass jars to the clothes organized in circular felt bins, every item has a designated spot. And it all starts with IKEA.

For organizing and storing their kitchen utensils, especially if you have a shabby chic vibe going on, I highly recommend these clear glass jars from World Market and Target for half the price at IKEA. These jars are perfect for storing small items like spices, oils, or even kitchen gadgets. The clear plastic cereal container can be used in your car as a car garbage can – it's a great way to keep your vehicle tidy on-the-go. And if you have a furry friend, you can use this container to store their food.

One of my favorite IKEA finds is the felt tour organizer. The shape and design make it perfect for organizing bras, with the raised center providing extra support. This drawer organizer has deeper compartments, making it ideal for storing small items like Carter's toys – I'll be using it to keep his toy bugs, Legos, and blocks organized and compartmentalized.

Another essential item is the boy divider. The larger size with shallower compartments makes it perfect for organizing sunglasses and jewelry. I plan to use it to store my favorite accessories, such as bracelets, earrings, and chokers. And at just three dollars, this container of 30 clothespins is a steal – I'll be using it to close up chip bags or popcorn bags in my kitchen.

The circular felt organizing bins caught my eye due to their vibrant color thread lining. My vision for these is using them in Carter's nursery – I'll put his socks in one and bibs in another, with different baby products stored in each bin. IKEA offers an incredible variety of these bins, with different shapes, sizes, patterns, and colors to choose from.

If you're looking to utilize otherwise dead space, consider an inexpensive IKEA canvas picture or frame under the shoe storage – I've used this hack in my small closet organization video, and it's a game-changer. Another must-have is the wall-mounted tiered file holder rack, which provides ample storage for paperwork without taking up too much space.

For storing and organizing paperwork as a self-employed individual, the pivoting wall-mounted towel rack is an excellent option – I plan to use it to store tank tops, scarves, ties, and belts. And finally, there's the lazy susan on a lazy susan, which has brought me immense joy and wealth. Yes, you read that right – every time a lazy susan is sold, I make five dollars, making me the richest and laziest person in the world.

is this Susan woman why was she so lazy what happened to Susan okay so what I was thinking for this is to put it in the refrigerator and use it for your condiments I feel like I've seen this on Pinterest somewhere so instead of having to reach all the way to the back of the shelf you could put all of your products on this and then just twist and grab whatever you need up next is this rubber bin and this was calling my name because I feel like this would be perfect for Carter's outdoor toys he loves running around in the backyard we have so many toys and they're just everywhere and because this is rubber it's going to be weatherproof waterproof or do we need something with a lid now these stainless steel magazine racks or file holders there are so many creative ways to you these around your house you can use these in your pantry and put your potatoes or onions and these so they're easy quick grab you could lay them on their side and use it as a shelf I also use a magazine rack under my bathroom sink and I stack my washcloth in these now this next winner really got me excited here it is so I think this is supposed to be used to organize your scarfs but I was thinking I could hang this in Carter's nursery and use it for his stuffed animals I'm not sure if it's gonna work I will show a cutaway clip now if it did end up working these are the kind of videos I love so much because I just enjoy being creative it's part of the reason I'm on YouTube and I do what I do I'm such a stereotypical lefty like right brains left-handed person up next is this funny-looking hanger I'm pretty sure this is designed to hang your belts or ties I think it could be great for hanging or king tops I have so many different tank tops that are similar styles but just a bunch of different colors so you could just hang them from these little hooks and you can keep seven tank tops on one hanger and save space next up are these clear plastic containers with the lids I just thought these would be great for my under the sink bathroom organization and because they are the clear bins I can see what's inside each one this is a cute little flower base that I thought would also look great in your kitchen for organizing and storing their kitchen utensils especially if you have kind of shabby chic vibe going on so this clear glass jar I had to show because I have bought canvas picture or frame and use it for under the shoe storage I actually showed this in my small closet organization video but this is one of my favorite organization ideas it's a great way to utilize
