Customizing Your Google Gmail Themes and Settings: A Step-by-Step Guide
Hey everyone and welcome to another HD tutorial in this video I'm going to try to show you guys how to customize your Google uh your Gmail themes and settings Etc so that it can actually have your own look when you're using your Gmail.
So, let's get started by opening up the regular Google homepage since you usually see me using Safari but this is just for um this particular episode. If you are actually using Thunderbird by the way so if you're actually using your web browser to go into Google and check your Gmail then this is how you do it.
First things first, we need to hit the Gmail button. This will load up my Gmail account, which I can see has a pretty impressive number of YouTube videos that I need to answer. But let's move on from that for now and focus on customizing our Gmail theme.
So, what we're going to go is to actually go to settings. You'll find the setting tab under the settings part. Once you click on it, you will see a ton of options available for customization. Let me just list them out for you real quick.
There's mountains, Marin, dusk, shiny, different boyish or girlish settings, and then finally choose your own colors. Now, this last one might seem obvious but trust me when I tell you it's actually quite useful.
When you click on the "choose your own colors" option, a new window will pop up where you can actually choose the color for every single aspect of your page. Yes, that means you can pick your background color, text color, and even just the text itself. This is especially useful if you want to change the default blue theme but still keep some aspects of it.
So, let's see what this option looks like in action. If I click on "choose your own colors" I can pick a different color for my background, text, and other elements on the page. For example, I could make everything red if that's what I want. The great thing about this is that it will apply to every single aspect of your Gmail account.
Now, I know some people might be thinking "I don't need all these options". And that's fine! You can always use the previous themes or settings to customize your account in a way that suits you. But if you're feeling adventurous and want something entirely new, this is where it's at.
Let me just quickly show you what some of the pre-loaded themes look like. There's Pebbles, for example. Let's see what happens when we apply it... Bam! It's already applied to the entire Gmail account. You can also upload a file to be that actual background image if you'd like. This is just another way to give your Gmail an extra personal touch.
If you're still using um who aren't using Thunderbird and want a cool way to customize your Gmail, this is definitely worth checking out. And I hope you found this tutorial helpful and thanks for watching.
