Nvidia's RTX 4080 Super Could Be A GAME CHANGER!

The Need for Nvidia's New Graphics Cards: A Review of Their Strategy

Nvidia has long been the leader in the graphics card market, with their cards being highly sought after by PC gamers. However, with AMD's recent advancements in GPU technology, Nvidia is facing stiff competition from their main rival. In response to this growing competition, Nvidia needs to come up with a new strategy to stay ahead of the game.

Typically, there are three main factors that drive Nvidia's decision-making when it comes to new graphics cards: AMD, consumer demand, and the need for a boost in sales. The biggest factor is almost certainly AMD, who have all but matched Nvidia's GPU lineup with their own cards. These cards offer similar raw performance to Nvidia's offerings, but with increased VRAM counts and significantly lower street prices. This has made it difficult for Nvidia to maintain their position as the top-tier graphics card manufacturer.

In addition to the threat posed by AMD, consumer demand is also a significant factor in Nvidia's decision-making. Graphics cards are not as new as they once were, and Nvidia wants to be seen as having the most shiny new products on the market. This is especially true during the holiday season, when sales are high and gamers are eager to upgrade their rigs with the latest technology.

Finally, there is a touch of speculation involved in Nvidia's decision-making process. With the manufacturing processes for their chips having improved over time, Nvidia is now able to produce more powerful graphics cards at lower costs. This means that they can offer faster and more stable clock speeds, resulting in more powerful graphics cards that will appeal to gamers who want the best performance possible.

The Need for New Graphics Cards

Given these factors, it's clear that Nvidia needs to come up with a new strategy to stay ahead of the competition. One possible solution is to release new graphics cards that offer improved performance and features at lower price points than their current offerings. This would help to attract more gamers who are looking for value for money, while also keeping their current customers happy.

In terms of specific details, it's likely that Nvidia will release new graphics cards with the same VRAM count as their current offerings, but with increased core counts. This would put them closer to AMD's performance levels, and make them more appealing to gamers who are looking for a balance between raw power and price. However, the exact details of these new graphics cards are still unknown, and it's unclear whether Nvidia will release them at the same price point as their current offerings or offer some kind of discount.

The Benefits of New Graphics Cards

Overall, it seems that releasing new graphics cards is a good idea for Nvidia. These cards would help to attract more gamers who are looking for value for money, while also keeping their current customers happy. Additionally, with the manufacturing processes having improved over time, Nvidia is now able to produce more powerful graphics cards at lower costs.

It's worth noting that the benefits of new graphics cards extend beyond just the technical specifications of the cards themselves. By releasing new graphics cards that offer improved performance and features at lower price points, Nvidia can help to drive sales during a time when demand is high but prices are low. This would be particularly beneficial for the holiday season, which is typically one of the busiest times of year for PC gamers.

The Role of CES in Revealing New Graphics Cards

Finally, it's worth noting that CES is just around the corner, and Nvidia has already announced their event. This means that we can expect to see all sorts of new technology and innovations from Nvidia, including their new graphics cards. Whether or not these cards will be released at the same price point as their current offerings remains to be seen, but it's likely that they will offer some kind of discount.

In conclusion, it seems clear that Nvidia needs to come up with a new strategy to stay ahead of the competition. By releasing new graphics cards that offer improved performance and features at lower price points, Nvidia can help to attract more gamers who are looking for value for money, while also keeping their current customers happy. With CES just around the corner, it will be interesting to see what Nvidia has in store for us.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enladies and gentlemen can you believe it new Nvidia gpus are coming I mean there I was getting all comfortable with the status quo but no it actually appears as if Nvidia is trying to be the nice guy and give us even more performance for Less well I'm sure shareholders and profits will have something to do with it too but yes it certainly looks as if we're about a month or so away from nvidia's brand new super series of graphics cards which will offer even higher frame rates at the same price point as before here is all the information that you need to know right after a short word from this video sponsor deep calls ch56 digital has arrived and this is a PC case with a difference not only do you get a stunning airflow orientated design but you'll find a digital readout for both your GPU and your CPU allowing you to monitor your temps and utilization and just a glance not only that but thanks to the four included 140 mil argb fans you get fantastic airflow and good looks straight at the Box available in both black or white get yours today with the link down below let's start with the cards themselves what is it exactly that's coming well if rumors are to be believed you're looking at a total of three new graphics cards the RTX 480 super the RTX 470 TI super and yep you guessed it the RTX 4070 super each card will be more powerful than its original variant with a decent chance of higher memory counts and bus speeds the RTX 480 super looks set to move from 16 GB of RAM to 20 which moves it a bit closer to amd's 7900 xdx and the rtx4 1924 whilst the memory bus could actually move from a 256 bus to a 320 this is a fair point of contention for online leakers though with many disagreeing and saying it's going to stay exactly the same as the 4080 it's currently not clear whether it'll be using the same ad 103 chip as the outgoing 4080 or whether it will be a new cutdown version of the 490s a102 now if those specs and numbers don't sound particularly exciting to you then chances are the raw performance increase probably won't either as we're only expecting maybe a 5 to 10% core account increase which in turn should give you about the same in video games but hey it's certainly something the RTX 4070 TI super meanwhile should be a pretty similar story an increased count in cutic cor for more performance a potential step up from the ad 104 GPU to the higher spec 103 and then importantly a move from a mere 12 GB of vram on 192bit bus to 16 on a 256 and I got to admit that this is a pretty significant upgrade because the 4070 TI has always been a card I've really liked in terms of price to performance at the high end has got great capability 1440p and 4K but that vram has always held it back a little bit in my opinion so if this rumor is true and we do now get 16 for the same sort of price as the 4070 TI I'm going to be a pretty happy boy finally we then have the RTX 470 super and this one is actually a little bit different as it looks as if this is not a straight replacement for the RTX 470 and indeed will sit alongside the existing 4070 as a brand new skew as is actually expect expected to be a bigger jump in performance versus the other supers the 4070 super should retain the same 12 GB of vram on 192bit memory bus but then increase the core count by roughly 20% putting it much closer to the RX 470 TI in terms of performance so the question then becomes all about price what exactly will Nvidia do will they be really generous and lower them down will they keep them the same or will they be pretty mean and make them even higher not sure what that was maybe I'm saying hello in case you know longer paying attention focus up well to properly understand we first need to look at why Nvidia is actually doing any of this in the first place and typically there are three main factors at play the biggest is almost certainly AMD they've all but matched nvidia's GPU lineup with their cards now offering very similar raw performance but with increased vrm counts and significantly lower Street prices Nvidia has long since marketed their cards as Superior thanks to better rate tracing capabilities and dlss frame generation and super resolution but especially for m multiplayer games right now you just can't argue with Team Red's value then of course there's the consumer demand to think about I mean these graphics cards aren't as new as they once were and Nvidia definitely want to be seen to having the most shiny new graphics cards as you'd be surprised how many people that aren't clued up about PC gaming will buy something in their price range that is newer right even if it's not necessarily the best then of course there's also the factor of consumer demand at the time of filming I mean this is currently the holiday season it's Q4 this is naturally when sales are high but going into the new year when the sales will start to slump they need something to almost spice up the market a little bit so the sales don't dry out completely the third reason is a touch more speculative but we can assume that the manufacturing processes on these chips have actually improved with higher yields and potentially a higher percentage of better chips which will allow for a faster and more stable clock speed which will result in more powerful graphics cards being available with all three of these factors at play and almost a year to go before the Nvidia 5000 series as rumor to launch well it's clear Nvidia need to do something right now to generate some sales I believe that the most likely scenario is that we see these new graphics cards coming in at the exact same price points as the one they replace although the 480 super could be priced lower if we don't see a change to the vram as Nvidia is already confident in their products and they like to have their products seen as the luxury option anyway the 4070 will of course work slightly differently as it won't be a straight replacement so i' guess we're probably going to get somewhere in the region of a75 or maybe a $100 price drop and then the 4070 super will replace the 4070 at its current price or maybe a slight increase of about $25 or $50 assuming these quoted prices are correct then overall I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the changes and I think that they will really make a big difference to the value that's offered to PC Gamers the RTX 480 super is probably still a little bit too expensive versus the 7900 XTX especially bear in mind you can buy this for about £900 or less at the time of filming but the rest of the stack definitely looks to hold up very well indeed of course AMD will likely respond in kind perhaps by lowering the prices of their own gpus and then if this does happen then PC gaming just got cheaper and better for everyone and the cool news is that you're not going to have to wait long to find out all of the details about this too as CES is just around the corner
