A Trip Down Memory Lane: Embarrassing 90s Fashion Trends and DIY Hauls

There was one trend that I look back on with embarrassment, even though it's perfectly 80s and 90s. It was wearing socks like athletic socks almost up to our knees and layering them, often wearing two or three layers at a time to create a scrunched and bunched-up effect. I'm not sure if anyone else remembers this trend, but I do recall the feeling of being completely baffled by it. If you're as nostalgic for 90s fashion as I am, let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of our most cringe-worthy looks.

One of my favorite things to do is scour thrift stores and antique shops for unique vintage pieces to add to my collection. Recently, I stumbled upon some beautiful floral prints that caught my eye. The daisies are particularly stunning, with a Hobby Lobby quality that's hard to find in modern prints. However, I did notice that the stems were missing some flowers, which can be frustrating when it comes to working with florals. My tip is to always inspect your stems carefully before purchasing, as this can make all the difference in creating beautiful arrangements.

In addition to my floral haul, I picked up a few new stickers that I'm excited to play around with. These are called "action" stickers, although I'm not entirely sure what that means. They're just cute and fun, and I love adding them to my journals and planners. I also discovered some gorgeous ribbons in white and polka dot black that have me completely obsessed. The quality of the printing is amazing, and I've been eyeing these for a while now.

Finally, I scored some new vases from the Dollar Tree that are perfect for adding a pop of color to my shelves. They're frosted and have a beautiful, modern aesthetic that I just adore. While there wasn't a yellow or green option available, I'm still excited to add these to my collection and use them as vases for fresh flowers or greens.

As with every haul, there's always the struggle of ending a video. I often find myself re-filming my outro multiple times, simply because I don't want to leave the conversation. Today was no exception, as I found myself trying to prolong the video by talking about everything except the actual haul itself. However, I promise that I'll be back with more content soon, including a DIY project and a review of some amazing Dollar Tree finds.

has everything that she needs and I don't want to like force a gift but um so I'm trying to figure out if you have any ideas comment them down below maybe not necessarily like a material gift but maybe something for us to do I don't know just let me know your thoughts I've been sick I honestly like I've been sick since October since I got my first felt of bronchitis and I just have not like recovered since then and the allergies in this weather is just not helping my situation any so I just can't like I haven't my thought process has not been strong not been on its normal game anyway let's go ahead and get started this is not going to be a huge haul um but I got this jar this is not new uh I will say pause for a quick second uh I was thinking about this earlier but I now doing Dollar Tree related videos Mondays Wednesdays and Saturdays right and most of the time all three of those videos are hauls and in every video there's something new multiple items and sometimes everything is new that is mind blowing to me honestly anyway sorry I just diverted and went somewhere else but I just want want to point that out this is not new however they've had this jar for about a year or so maybe longer I really like it I love the size of it so I got this I wanted to use this for a DIY but then I found the other jar that you guys would have seen in Sunday's video I'll link it at the end in case you didn't see it I decided I liked that jar better so I don't know what I'm going to do with this one um may have to take it back if I don't like find a purpose for it but this Haul is actually older than Sunday's video so I actually showed you guys the newest stuff that I bought and we're kind of like working backwards so anyway then I found these yay so I found the first ones in um my older video what color were they yellow orange um I really didn't like the smell I just really loved the container but the smell was very cinnamony and that gives me a headache but I love this smell whatever it is it doesn't really tell me doesn't really have a name it kind of kind of has like that musky scent um like smells kind of like a guy and yeah but this is not a dolly tree Candle by the way it says it was made in Old by Old Williamsburg candle Corp in Brooklyn New York shout out to Brooklyn so I got two of those I found new tissue paper has like this not marble but it has like a splattered paint effect and kind of far away it looks like marble but if you look up close yeah and I really love this color here too they've been killing their tissue game I also found these really cute farmhouse style new oven mitt uh po holders and this kitchen towel this is so adorable I love the colors it can go a lot of different ways Country Cottage farmhouse uh French English Country Garden kind of thing and I think this will really work in the new way that I want to do my kitchen it says take your time which is really cute and oddly enough if you guys saw my shop with me at Walmart I got the um time and table set of spoons and so time has been like this reoccurring theme for me but look how cute that is I love this towel here are the pot holders has like a dark olive Green in the back and then here's the oven mitt yeah really cute I love this little set why do I have an Ulta receipt in here all right then I picked up these I don't think these are new I think these have been around for a while but I started working out but then I got reick and relapsed so I'm obviously having to stop but these bands were really interesting they're resistance like toning Loop bands and at first when I saw them as you can see you put it around like below your knee kind of thing or maybe even above your knee I think it's above your knee yeah it's above your knee and at first I like just picked black because I liked the color black and then I realized that they were each a different level of resistance so this one's heavy so I think this one means it's going to be extra tight so you're really going to have to work your muscles too expand this uh this one is the medium level in this color and it tells you right where does it tell you right here and then the pink is going to be your light level so yeah at first again I was just picking based off of color and then I saw the tag and I was like oh so I picked up all three another pair of adorable socks I don't even know what to say about them cuz they're just so dang adorable uh these are crew socks and there are little penguins and they're little igloos it's kind of hard because this little thing's in the way but it's just the same image all the way kind of around and then the second pair is black and white polka dots that is so adorable it would actually be cute to kind of layer these up okay let's pause for a minute and let's talk about the '90s there was this one Trend and looking back it's probably one of the most embarrassing Trends uh when I look back to like ' 80s fashion and '90s fashion I'm not really embarrassed by it because it's very 80s and very 90s but there's this one that when I look at pictures I'm like what were we thinking I don't know if anyone did this trend or remembers this even triples of these I'm going to have to go back and get some more I've hauled these in like a red and maybe even like a polka dot black and I'm not like a huge fan of Chevron but for some reason I'm obsessed with this it's almost like yeah they used paint they used actual paint for the image or like for the pattern and I really love that so I'm just oh my God I need to go back and get more I don't know what I was thinking all right and I like I said this was a small haul and these are the very last things but they have new jars or vases not jars boss vase vase I say vase do you say vase or vase okay hang on but they are frosted and they're beautiful oh my gosh like and I have to get every color I don't know why but I was just like I have to have all of these what these not stunning I just love this whole frosted look it's really fun wish there was a yellow I think yellow and a green would have just kind of completed this whole thing but this purple I'm really digging that purple but I'm really liking this purple anyway that's it for my haul this is something that you guys don't know but I always struggle with my my outro like ending my videos I can't tell you how many times I refilm the ending over and over and over because I don't actually ever want to leave the video I just kind of want to keep talking and talking um but today I kind of don't just don't have that much to say but I still find myself trying to like keep pushing to keep the video going but I don't know I just thought you guys would like to know that I just struggle on this part and this is actually like
