500 Miles Through Australia In An M3 Touring! [The ULTIMATE Daily Driver]

A Review of the M3 Touring: A Daily Driver with a Twist

As I sat in the driver's seat of the BMW M3 Touring, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. This was my first chance to truly experience the car on the road, and I was eager to see how it would perform. The power delivery is continuous, making it easy to accelerate from any gear, even when approaching large trucks like road trains. I found myself cruising at high speeds without needing to shift down a gear, which was both exhilarating and intimidating.

The M3 Touring's engine pulls the power with ease, making it feel like a rocket ship on wheels. As we cruised along the highway, I felt like we were moving in slow motion, despite the speedometer reading over 100km/h. The car's linear power delivery makes it feel surprisingly fast, and it's a testament to the M3 Touring's impressive performance capabilities.

After spending some time with the car, I couldn't help but think that it's the best all-round car you can buy today. With its impressive performance, comfortable ride, and advanced technology features, it's hard to find any major drawbacks. The seats are surprisingly good, providing excellent support and comfort on long drives. Visibility is also top-notch, with a large windshield and minimal blind spots.

One of the things that really impressed me about the M3 Touring was its fuel economy in urban driving. Despite being a performance car, it's capable of returning respectable fuel economy figures, making it an attractive option for daily driving. Of course, this is where the car starts to get interesting – in small towns like mine, the M3 Touring can struggle with some rough roads and uneven surfaces.

However, despite these minor drawbacks, I genuinely believe that the M3 Touring is the best all-round car you can buy today. As we continued our journey, taking the car on back roads and winding up to some of the most scenic views in Australia, it became clear that this car is truly a gem. Its advanced technology features, including a state-of-the-art infotainment system, make it a joy to drive.

We've had an incredible adventure so far, with some truly unforgettable experiences along the way. From cruising down to Sydney on the highway, to taking the car off-road and getting stuck in the sand, it's been a wild ride that I'll never forget. And through it all, the M3 Touring has performed flawlessly, proving itself to be a capable and reliable companion.

As we continue our journey, I find myself wondering if there's a better all-round performance car out there. Some might argue that the RS6 or even the new X3 are worthy alternatives, but for my money, the M3 Touring is still the best of the bunch. It's got flaws to be sure, but it's hard to deny its impressive capabilities and overall value.

The M3 Touring's main competitors in the performance car market include the Porsche Panamera Turbo, the Audi RS4, and even some of the more exotic options like the Urus and the Cen Turbo GTs. However, when you factor in price, the M3 Touring is still an incredibly compelling option. With a base price of under £70,000, it's hard to argue that there's not a better value out there.

As I sit here writing this review, I'm feeling a pang of jealousy towards some of my fellow car enthusiasts who are waiting for their new cars to arrive. For me, the M3 Touring has been the perfect addition to my collection, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for it. If you're in the market for a performance car that's both fun and practical, the M3 Touring is definitely worth considering.

A Road Trip Down Under: Adventure and Exploration

As we left Sydney behind and headed towards the coast, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. We've got over 500km on the clock so far, and it's been an incredible journey that's taken us to some truly breathtaking locations. From the rugged coastline of the New South Wales countryside to the stunning beaches of Queensland, we've seen it all.

One of the things that I love about this trip is the freedom to explore and take in the sights. With no set itinerary or schedule to follow, we're able to go wherever our hearts desire. And with the M3 Touring's incredible performance capabilities, we're always ready for whatever adventure comes next.

Today, we found ourselves at the famous Full On Hotel in Sydney, an old post office that's been converted into a hotel and restaurant. It was the perfect place to refuel and recharge after a long day of driving, and it provided us with some much-needed rest and relaxation. As we sat on the balcony taking in the views of the city, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this incredible opportunity.

The M3 Touring has been an absolute joy to drive, providing both power and practicality that's hard to find elsewhere. Its advanced technology features make it a pleasure to navigate, even in heavy traffic or on congested roads. And with its comfortable ride and supportive seats, we've been able to take the car at speeds that would be impossible for some other performance cars.

One of the things that really impressed me about this trip was the M3 Touring's ability to handle some truly rough terrain. We took it off-road in the sand dunes of Queensland, where it performed flawlessly and proved itself to be a capable and reliable companion. It's not just a car for everyday driving – it's also an adventure waiting to happen.

As we continue our journey, I know that there will be many more adventures ahead. From navigating the rugged coastline of Western Australia to exploring the scenic byways of Victoria, the M3 Touring is always up for the challenge. And with its incredible performance capabilities and advanced technology features, it's the perfect companion for any road trip or adventure.

The Future of the BMW M3 Touring: A Car that's Ahead of Its Time

As I sit here writing this review, I couldn't help but think about what the future holds for the BMW M3 Touring. With its incredible performance capabilities and advanced technology features, it's clear that this car is ahead of its time.

In a market where cars are often defined by their raw power and aggressive styling, the M3 Touring stands out as a breath of fresh air. Its focus on practicality and comfort makes it an attractive option for those who want a performance car that's also capable of handling everyday driving tasks.

But make no mistake – the M3 Touring is not just a family-friendly alternative to the Porsche Panamera or the Audi RS4. It's a true performance car that's designed to deliver exceptional results on the road. Its 3.0-liter inline-6 engine produces over 400 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful engines in its class.

And yet, despite its incredible performance capabilities, the M3 Touring is also surprisingly fuel-efficient. With a combined fuel economy figure of over 40mpg, it's clear that BMW has done an impressive job of squeezing every last drop of power from this engine.

As I look to the future, I know that there are many exciting things on the horizon for the M3 Touring. With new models and technologies being developed all the time, it's hard to predict exactly what the future holds – but one thing is certain: the BMW M3 Touring will always be a car ahead of its time.

In conclusion, my experience with the BMW M3 Touring has been nothing short of incredible. Its impressive performance capabilities, advanced technology features, and comfortable ride make it an attractive option for those who want a true performance car that's also practical and reliable. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or just looking for a new set of wheels, the M3 Touring is definitely worth considering.

through glass welcome to the stunning koughs Harbor in Australia if you haven't seen my last few videos myself and Tony are here doing a lot of live shows for our podcast behind the glass this is kind of the starting point of like a a mini Adventure got a 500m road trip to do South to Sydney ahead of our next live show we're going to be driving along the coast but also going Inland and just having a ton of fun we've got a pretty cool car to do it in now I don't want to be rude about what we've done so far but this is the part of the trip I'm actually most excited about really yeah because well you've never been to Australia before no last time I kind of drove around Australia it was 2019 during Drive the world we did this exact trip actually and we're in a car that we both love but are you not like intrigued by by what's out there of course yeah mean I don't want to get eaten no I'll try to make sure you don't get eaten but I don't know I'm just I'm just buzzing I know we're only going to be driving one car today we're not test driving anything that we haven't experienced before but we' got surf b on the roof it's sunny we're in Australia great coffee we might see a koala or kangaroo are we going surfing yes or no no you you tell me I don't think either of us want to but I feel like that means we need to force each other to actually no no I'm not going is this a good idea Tony I'm most sure well everyone uh seeing as we are by the coast we've come to one of Australia's many many beaches some of which you can drive upon apparently including this one and as the M3 touring is X drive basically four-wheel drive well we thought we'd come and give it large um I don't know what I'm doing Tony what it's deep out here Tony Tony the wheels don't feel connected we're Bing we're bingate come on look at this look at this oh no we're bogging a lot we're really bogging keep going come on give me large yes we're out we're out and look look at this oh it's amazing look at this is incredible oh oh yeah well welcome to Hot Head Beach I believe or or at least Smoky Cape um this is like an 11 or 14 km Beach hence why I don't know the name cuz I think it's got like four different names depending on where you at on it and look at this mate we're by the Sea we're in the sea basically this is incredible so you do actually need a permit to come and do this uh we went and bought one it's about 25 km you get this little sorry 25 km $25 you get this little receipt um the only other people that we've seen coming out here are big off-roading 4x4 SUV types yeah we're here in an M3 touring I actually love this this is look at these views there'll be sharks in there yeah there'll be sharks in there really yeah there'll be sharks now because this is kind of almost an official roadway I feel like we could drive on the beach all the way to Sydney there are speed limits so I think the top speed is 50 km an hour and you have to lower that down if you get near other humans or other people um which means that you know you can't come on here and suddenly turn to your own private racetrack but all I would say is that obviously sand it's a low grip surface it's a very powerful car and all it takes is this a slip of a throttle and you break traction by totally by accident you know but don't go too fast M because you can't drive you're going to be in the sea I nearly CR coming on to the beach okay I'll take it slow and steady and then maybe we can swap season and you can accidentally slip your throttle M this is amazing what I going to put cruise control on what a lie oh you a gleep careful Tony don't worry about me careful mate come on what are you doing really I wanty mate don't get stuck got a long way you're bogging down mate you're bogging down don't worry just mate you're right in the thick of it what have you done what have you done worry mate I'm worried I'm really worried so remember earlier when you were saying oh careful mate don't get stuck you were giving it all large yeah how you feeling now I'm feeling all right I give tony the keys for two minutes that's the exit that's the way to leave we were done we were going home I mean we're stuck right we have found our savior a man who's been on holiday with his kids that's a big winch first thing he said why on Earth did you bring that to the beach we were doing all right until now X Drive is totally fine it's only cuz of the buffoon that I'm here with we're out people it's happening it's happening we're making it we're making it Happy Days Happy Days well now that we're free and back underway we're out yeah I should probably stop being such a dick yeah you want to do you just flat I flat mate I was like we're going to be stuck here for 4 hours we're never going to be able to get to Sydney we're going to get eaten by kangaroo calling me name calling you it's a press car I hate it when things going on with the Press car only happened to me like two or three times before I was going have to have to email BMW be like sorry we got the car stuck on a beach the tide came in it's on its way to bloody California but look we're fine very nice local there two daughters pulled us out as I guess maybe you would have seen and we're back underway the Adventure Continues let's try not to run into any more trouble me we're in Australia mate you know M it's a wild place we could eat a room don't say that right well you join us a few hours later we've made our way up into the hills to try and avoid the danger of the beach um and we are in Armadale Armadale uh past Doro mountain and basically still continuing on our way to Sydney but yeah very far in land it's meant that we've actually done some pretty good driving RADS in the last hour or so yeah some very good ones we've had some fun and so we've just stopped for a quick bite to eat he's got some chips they got chicken salt chicken Salt I've never read that before no have you is that right you want one B much oh m not VI anyway we are behind schedule we were supposed to be arriving at our why is that why is why is that Tony why is that we're supposed to be arriving our hotel around 6:30 it looks like our current ETA is either 8:30 or 9 which means we'll be ending this video in the dark which is my worst nightmare but we're having a good time we're still exploring Neville seems awesome armadel is full of History we've been learning about the local area having a lovely time so there's gold here as well there was gold oh calm down it's gone I think it might be gone by now go on we going to eat this is massive put it in your mouth so we've been doing about 16 MPG we reckon yeah since we left KS Harbor this morning so we've done about 200 km around 16 MPG now I don't think that's unreasonable for an M3 for a you know German sports car that weighs a lot got all of our bags with us however by the way you can fill up cuz we're we're on a deadline here um however because the tank is quite small we feel like we're doing this a lot now you live with an M3 touring I do does this get annoying not really cuz I don't do loads and loads of long driving so it's like okay but you feel like you're filling up more than you could or should be I think the tanks 10 L too small yeah do we know what the do you remember what the size is is it 6 59 L yeah okay just under 60 l i I agree so I say like in the grand scheme of things big old car we were really pushing on just a moment ago we probably could have done better if we were just cruising on the highway but yeah a bigger tank would make the the touring element of the M3 touring a little bit more enjoyable this is just I've got a lot of photos of Tony doing this suits you mate though you look great a lot teap perfect pose mate yeah well welcome to Thunderbolts way which we turned on to from waterfall way some good names up here very um look this is a road that is threading its way down off the mountains back towards the coast and it's basically passing through a whole load of Farmland I hadn't seen any of this Australian scenery before it's kind of reminisent as we were saying at lunch of Wales and Scotland but also parts of America there are cows everywhere aren't there literally so many cows we keep looking for R and koalas and Wes they are signs alluding to the fact that they're around here somewhere we we haven't seen them year they're asleep they they might be asleep we're a little nervous that the sun might start to go down and then they're going to appear and those of you that were watching Drive the world well know that's one of my biggest fears in life the ruse at night but this road is turning out to be I think I think the perfect hunting route for the M3 touring because it's all long relatively smooth flowy Corners where we can just well carry the speed have a lovely time and feel like we're kind of cracking on without having to like hanker on the brakes throw the thing in because I think I remember you saying what's this thing like on the proper twist is it does it hide its weight can you still have fun when no oh when when when you really like get on it it does start to show its weight for sure okay so these roads are I'm right these are the right kind of roads for this car yeah because when I spent my week with the M3 touring in the UK and I did that review which was a bit more of a sort of dad review I didn't really have a chance to crack on in this car I was kind of just living with it I didn't have a chance to get out and push on in it so today's really been the first day I've had a chance to do so the thing which I mean it just pulls the power is just continuous kind of in any gear like we've been approaching those what do they call them um well road trains the huge trucks and lorries that move along these roads and some I don't even have to shift down a gear I just just cruise on but don't you think it's like deceptively fast this car yes quite terrifyingly fast yeah like literally like because it's so linear the power like all of a sudden you're going quite fast we touched on the fuel tank yeah are there any other negatives with this car for me no I I I genuinely I mean I've said it many times I genuinely do think this is the best all round car you can buy today I mean let's just recap real quick we've probably done what I mean we've done 300 L kmers today we did probably 300 if not 400 km yesterday on the highway yeah so let's say we've done close to 500 mil already we are in Comfort the ride is really good these seats are fantastic surprisingly surprisingly good good visibility great sound system loads of performance good Tech good Great Tech relatively good fuel economy in small town steer whe he did steering wheel in Australia which actually hey at the start of this trip we really need it it's it's finally turning in the right direction but I mean it's just loads of stuff in the car got all the podcast gear for the trip camera gear we're on the beach this morning getting stuck thanks Tony we've as say cruised on the now on the back roads I mean just sand in the car seems to be seems to be taking it well and and every single time I get out of it I'm like sick sick listen I'm going to give you a little bit of a challenge have a think and see if you can think currently today if there was a better all round performance car better than this have a little thing that's a good that's a good challenge well whilst I think of that I'm going to continue to enjoy these super undulating wordss which sometimes remind me of O Rouge and SP and we'll make our way down towards the coast well we have made it welcome to Sydney this is the fullon hotel which actually inside an old post office but yeah some well 500 mil later we set off from the Sunshine Coast a couple of days ago and it's been an awesome adventure and unpredictable one at times but a mega waight is to see more of this country which I find so intriguing and have so enjoyed driving through before on this trip we've got got so much going on but I just really wanted to ensure that Tony got a chance to kind of get out and see some roads and see some nature and potentially some Wildlife didn't matter he was then going to get us stuck on the beach I need to move on from that don't I but to go back to the point he was just making or we were both making in the car that you know that M3 touring might be a perfect daily driver and I've been racking my range trying to come up with an alternative RS6 well I had that experience too big too bad on fuel too heavy yes it's maybe more comfortable yes it's maybe got more presence but it is well it's got flaws that the M3 touring doesn't RS4 just nowhere near as good dynamically the tech is a little bit outdated now I don't think it looks as cool then you go upper level you forthcoming M5 touring is going to be a hollowed L more money a paname Turbo S hybrid is also going to be a ton of money start looking at SUVs they going to be as dynamically good start getting up to things like Urus and Cen Turbo GTs and again so much money so for the price which obviously in the UK is sub 100K it's near on perfect and I kind of thought I said it when I first reviewed it and now I just believe it in more and I I kind of want one even more I'm going to wait for a few to drop on the used Market maybe down towards the £70,000 mark but you know in 18 months time when the new X3 launches and I'm looking to replace the fpace SP we're currently running as a daily going to be hard pushed if a new X3 and the M3 touring are the same price so anyway I hope you've enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up if you have we've got plenty more Adventures to come from Australia so subscribe now and turn on notificationsnow just before we get started let me remind you about car vertical you've probably heard me talk about car vertical before but they very kindly sponsored this part of the video so I'm going to tell you about them again because if you're like me looking to buy a new car I'm looking to buy a chali you're going to want to use car vertical CU essentially it's your One-Stop shop for an insanely detailed look in this car I was kind of just living with it I didn't have a chance to get out and push on in it so today's really been the first day I've had a chance to do so the thing which I mean it just pulls the power is just continuous kind of in any gear like we've been approaching those what do they call them um well road trains the huge trucks and lorries that move along these roads and some I don't even have to shift down a gear I just just cruise on but don't you think it's like deceptively fast this car yes quite terrifyingly fast yeah like literally like because it's so linear the power like all of a sudden you're going quite fast we touched on the fuel tank yeah are there any other negatives with this car for me no I I I genuinely I mean I've said it many times I genuinely do think this is the best all round car you can buy today I mean let's just recap real quick we've probably done what I mean we've done 300 L kmers today we did probably 300 if not 400 km yesterday on the highway yeah so let's say we've done close to 500 mil already we are in Comfort the ride is really good these seats are fantastic surprisingly surprisingly good good visibility great sound system loads of performance good Tech good Great Tech relatively good fuel economy in small town steer whe he did steering wheel in Australia which actually hey at the start of this trip we really need it it's it's finally turning in the right direction but I mean it's just loads of stuff in the car got all the podcast gear for the trip camera gear we're on the beach this morning getting stuck thanks Tony we've as say cruised on the now on the back roads I mean just sand in the car seems to be seems to be taking it well and and every single time I get out of it I'm like sick sick listen I'm going to give you a little bit of a challenge have a think and see if you can think currently today if there was a better all round performance car better than this have a little thing that's a good that's a good challenge well whilst I think of that I'm going to continue to enjoy these super undulating wordss which sometimes remind me of O Rouge and SP and we'll make our way down towards the coast well we have made it welcome to Sydney this is the fullon hotel which actually inside an old post office but yeah some well 500 mil later we set off from the Sunshine Coast a couple of days ago and it's been an awesome adventure and unpredictable one at times but a mega waight is to see more of this country which I find so intriguing and have so enjoyed driving through before on this trip we've got got so much going on but I just really wanted to ensure that Tony got a chance to kind of get out and see some roads and see some nature and potentially some Wildlife didn't matter he was then going to get us stuck on the beach I need to move on from that don't I but to go back to the point he was just making or we were both making in the car that you know that M3 touring might be a perfect daily driver and I've been racking my range trying to come up with an alternative RS6 well I had that experience too big too bad on fuel too heavy yes it's maybe more comfortable yes it's maybe got more presence but it is well it's got flaws that the M3 touring doesn't RS4 just nowhere near as good dynamically the tech is a little bit outdated now I don't think it looks as cool then you go upper level you forthcoming M5 touring is going to be a hollowed L more money a paname Turbo S hybrid is also going to be a ton of money start looking at SUVs they going to be as dynamically good start getting up to things like Urus and Cen Turbo GTs and again so much money so for the price which obviously in the UK is sub 100K it's near on perfect and I kind of thought I said it when I first reviewed it and now I just believe it in more and I I kind of want one even more I'm going to wait for a few to drop on the used Market maybe down towards the £70,000 mark but you know in 18 months time when the new X3 launches and I'm looking to replace the fpace SP we're currently running as a daily going to be hard pushed if a new X3 and the M3 touring are the same price so anyway I hope you've enjoyed this video give it a thumbs up if you have we've got plenty more Adventures to come from Australia so subscribe now and turn on notifications\n"
