for content creators vloggers you name it and essentially it pairs to your phone and it gives you a way better mic that's actually close to your mouth so you can be far away and yeah all right let's look at the packaging before we get into the actual testing all right so this is the box it comes in pretty small but also pretty high quality all right taking off the front lid there's a little plastic cover and you get the mic itself removing that get the mic we'll get a little pull tab here and you get the microphone here looking pretty fancy and i think it's made of aluminum that would be my guess okay for the other stuff nothing in there for here you got a charging cable then you got a looks like a dead cat like a win one of the ones that blocks the wind got a little foam one that blocks the wind for your mic you have a little earbud i guess to monitor the quality and then you get a little carrying pouch feels like fake leather i don't know and then you get a manual all right all right so i'm using the smart mic plus right now it's right here and i'm sorry if this video looks a little bit different now i'm shooting with my iphone 11 pro max now and uh yeah so i'm essentially just using this microphone it's connected via bluetooth and yeah so this is my quality you can expect from that sorry if things were looking different the great part about having this microphone is you can like like it doesn't matter if you're like moving around or whatever you're still be you're still gonna be able to get like good mic quality like you could come over here you're still getting good mic quality you can even go all the way over here out of the shot and you can get good mic quality all right just for reference this is the mic quality on the onboard mic of the iphone 11 pro max i can like go over here nice i don't sound good because i don't have my bluetooth mic i can be over here you can't really hear me at all because well you don't got the bluetooth mic on really actually makes a big difference so also another thing that comes in the packaging is this it's like a mini dead cat like i have one on my mic and it helps a lot and essentially it just blocks it of all wind noise using the mic still but um trying to get this dead cat onto this thing it's really not working it's like yeah i'm just gonna sorry but the dead cat the dead cat does not seem to want to work so i'm not gonna use it all right i've got to say that with this mic and i have the on my gimbal now it's like the perfect combo you literally can vlog with your phone like so easily it's just like because because you got your gimbal and usually you can't attach mic so you get bad mic quality but with this bluetooth mic you can literally just like it's like the ultimate combo it's good mic quality good smooth video it's just like i'm balling you know also it does have some kind of like denoising algorithm in it i'm not sure how but it like just cuts out the outside noise pretty good and yeah also there's lots of settings in this app that you can help to make better video and yeah you can you can even give like interviews with people you can just be like how do you feel you can probably like put this like on a stick or something make it look like a microphone just be like so how do you feel about this here let's do an interview talking to this thing what's up man and talking to this thing yeah see that's how it works it's pretty sweet it also works with ios and on android and if you get the twin package you can make it so it works with your dslr or you're like your gopro you can also use it with third-party apps like tick tock snap chat instagram you can get around six hours of battery life with it just being here just recording which is probably more than your camera super light super small i think it's a pretty great product it could be really useful like if you're like doing like those videos where you're you have your camera but you're like talking to like people in the street and you need you don't have your camera's not close enough to you to get good mic quality so then you just use this it's a great combo it's definitely
