550HP BMW M140i _METH INJECTED M5 Killer_ REVIEW on AUTOBAHN [NO SPEED LIMIT] by AutoTopNL

The Unadulterated Power of the BMW M140i with X-Drive System

As I sat behind the wheel of the BMW M140i, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. The car was known for its potent engine, but with the X-Drive system, it became something entirely different. Normally, I'm not a fan of the M140i's rear-wheel drive layout, but with this kind of power, the X-Drive system really contributes to the driving experience. It's all about traction and power performance now.

I decided to put the car through its paces, starting with a test run from zero to 100 km/h. The results were staggering - 3.24 seconds, which is an astonishing acceleration time for a car of this size. I couldn't believe my eyes as the speedometer needle flew past 100 km/h in what felt like an instant. This was a 3.2-second car, and it was all thanks to the X-Drive system.

While normally I wouldn't be too fond of the M140i's rear-wheel drive setup, with this kind of power, it's no longer just about the driving experience - it's about the thrill of speed. The X-Drive system takes away from that small wheelbase rear-wheel drive magic that I love so much, but with this kind of performance, who cares? It's all about the raw power and traction.

To put my skepticism to rest, I decided to give the car a proper test run on the autobahn. I connected my drag strip, which would allow me to track the car's speed without any external factors influencing the results. As I accelerated from 0-100 km/h, the needle flew past 200 km/h in just 7.21 seconds - an incredible feat of performance, rivaling even some of the most powerful supercars on the market.

To put this into perspective, the BMW M140i with X-Drive system is faster than a Porsche TTS Turbo S, which boasts a whopping 760 horsepower. And when I say it's faster, I mean it's not just faster - it's in a league of its own. The M140i is essentially a monster of acceleration, one that can leave even the most powerful production cars in its wake.

But what really impressed me was how the X-Drive system works to put down power and provide traction. Without it, the car would be significantly faster from 0-100 km/h, but without the four-wheel drive system, it would lose a lot of grip and stability. It's almost as if the X-Drive system tames the beast, making it more approachable and enjoyable to drive.

The tuner behind this build has done an excellent job in finding the sweet spot between performance and reliability. By limiting the car to 290 km/h on the autobahn, they've ensured that the engine doesn't get too stressed and can be driven safely and responsibly. It's a rare breed of car that balances raw power with safety and reliability - one that I truly appreciate.

As I drove the car around the track, I couldn't help but think about how it compares to other high-performance cars on the market. The BMW M140i is an absolute monster of acceleration, leaving even some of the most powerful production cars in its wake. And when you consider that it's essentially a smaller, more agile version of the M8 Competition - well, that's just mind-boggling.

Thanks to Papyrine for lending us his car, I was able to experience firsthand the raw power and performance of the BMW M140i with X-Drive system. It's an absolute blast to drive, one that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enone two three four five six hooray this is a meth addict so this is an m5 killer here we go oh jesus christ what's up guys welcome to this pov review by auto top and l my name is martijn unfortunately max lost his uncle yesterday so he isn't here today and i'm your substitute teacher because conditions today were near perfect for this car it's a bmw m140i a car which we all know and love i mean what's not to love it's a small compact hatchback with a three liter inline 6 engine in the front with huge tuning capabilities which we have shown you in the past remember that a krapovic m140i if you don't go check out max's review on that car but this is one or two or three steps further this is like i don't like to use this phrase but a stage three m14 gi so what does that mean it's the b58 engine with huge upgrades it's insane how powerful that engine actually is so i love this series of m140 m135i we've had the early m135is with the m55 engine we've had the updated m135is with the m55 engine with a different turbo and we have the m140is with the b58 engine so that's three different engines within one gen of amp performance one series which is kind of incredible they all have their pros and cons but i think the last one the m140i is best within the m140i you also have different types because you have a more unfortunate with the old interior like this one m140i's with the new like m2 style interior and you have versions with an opf filter and you have versions hooray without them so the opf filter is the stupid exhaust filter that um kills all the fun okay so let's get started about this car i mean this is sort of a history lesson about the m135i and the m140i um so we where where are we now in 2020 well an m135i is again available so we went from an m135i to an m14 ti and now it's an m135i again but it's a four-cylinder this one though is a massive one two three four five six straight cylinders with a turbo and this is the stuff of dreams i mean uh yeah this is the best hatchback ever i think um what's this little hose you might think looks a bit well you're absolutely right because we're not only taking a look at the engine no no that is meth injection yes you heard it right this is a meth addict and there is its supplier its dealer in here is water methanol and this tube right here goes to the engine and it sprays water methanol in the inlet manifold which has two functions it has it's a kind of fuel a racing fuel you could say but it's also a way to cool down the inlet temperature and with a cooler inlet temperature you get more power so that's why this has been applied to this car and this is something we also see with the m4 gts so bmw has a similar water methanol injection system in that super limited high performance car stock it has 340 horsepower 500 newton meters but now with this tune um let me talk you through it what has been done to this car okay so it has a vr sf catalyst downpipe a custom silencer a torque by wmi system with a controller a stage one high pressure fuel pump water methanol injection it has been tuned by pure turbos in belgium which i have heard great stories about so i'm really hoping we can do more stuff with those guys and hc performance from denmark so they also work their magic on this car so what about the power well it's 490 horsepower and 720 newton meters but that's at the wheels right here at the crank you have some drivetrain loss because it's an x-drive system so that's the bmw four-wheel drive system it's 550 horsepower and 800 newton meters so this is an m5 killer i know that's a bold claim but this little hatchback truly is an m5 killer and the best thing about it is that you don't see it it looks like a stock bmw m140i which i love it's just like small little stickers hcp and there's one right here pure turbos that's the only thing that gives it away and okay it has a custom silencer as i said so it has uh bigger exhaust tips but other than that it just looks like a normal one series and the best thing about it well i've said that too many times now but one of the best things about it is that it has got the stock turbo so nothing has been done to the turbo it's just a factory turbo that's how powerful this b58 engine is it's so impressive what this engine can do okay so you have to drive it in a certain way because the gearbox has also been tuned as i said it's got a stage three reflash whatever transmission tune but um the engine is so powerful that you have to drive it in a certain way not like just put it in s and floor it now uh the best thing the best way to drive it is put it in manual mode and keep it above 3000 rpm then it really likes this tune because when you go below it the wear on the gearbox just becomes too much it can do it but it's not advisable i'd say okay so zero to 100 with this car i just did a test and i could not believe my eyes um if you want to see that video check it out in the top right corner spoiler alert it's ridiculously fast the results zero to 100 in 3.24 seconds this is a 3.2 second car and that's because it's got that x drive system normally i don't really like the m140i with the xdrive system because it takes away the fun that small wheelbase rear-wheel drive that's the recipe creating all the fun with the m140i but with this kind of power oh the x-drive system really contributes to the driving experience because it's now all about traction power performance oh okay let's demonstrate i'm going to give you a speedo and let's see if i can get a good launch the owner said that i shouldn't use the factory launch control because well it's just too much for the gearbox and the stock launch control software has these built-in shift times that aren't ideal for this tune so i'm just going to break launch it and you are going to witness how fast it is to 100 kph okay hold on here we go oh my god holy moly that's oh i i i ca i just don't get used to the the traction and the power of this thing it's so immensely impressive it's such a small tiny car and it's it's got super car performance i mean this is incredible so before we go on the autobahn i'm going to connect my draggy because the stock speedometer only goes to 260 and um it's a bit faster than that so because you really have to see this in order to believe how fast this car is okay so uh let's get rid of my phone it's not allowed here we go on the autobahn let's close this up okay wait for it little bump here we go oh jesus christ look at that needle going it's absolutely flying over the dials it's incredible so that 100 to 200 was 7.21 seconds which is unbelievably fast that's the same as a porsche tycoon turbo s with 760 horsepower i think it's faster than an amg gt63s with that 640 horsepower v8 oh can you believe the performance of this little one series that as i said has for breakfast oh my god it's absolutely flying this thing oh okay so i know you wanted me to go further but it has been limited to 290 kph uh gpsb because the stress on the engine with this tune is just too much uh at high speeds so the tuner has limited the car to 290 gps just for safety reasons and just for reliability reasons so it can do much much more i really like that pure turbos and hcp have chosen for safety and reliability and not just for a car that can do you know 330 or something like that once and then um ends up with a lot of trouble i like the approach of those guys and i like the performance of the car because it's just super super impressive i mean low down from zero to a hundred it's an animal from zero to 250 by the way this car is faster than a bmw m8 competition i mean just let that sink in it's insane that's a nice c43 amg convertible i like that oh i didn't do the tunnel run max usually does okay so we have a tunnel right here oh thankfully okay guys here's your tunnel run that sport plus burble here we go okay uh clearly this car doesn't have the opf and as you could see right there as i went on this little on-ramp this x-drive system sends a lot of the power to the rear so it does feel playful but without it it wouldn't be uh this zero to 100 monster but it would be faster from 100 to 200 because without the x-drive system without a four-wheel drive system you have less power getting lost from that engine to the wheels so it would be faster and lighter and more playful of course so yeah i think without the x-drive system it would be a different different animal even wilder i'd say but if you want superb performance i think you'd be better off with the xdrive system okay thanks to papyrine for lending us his car i mean this is an awesome little m140i it's the ultimate m140i this is the bmw mkiller it's killing its own family and i'm completely in love with it i i really really want this car so thank you for watching if you want to see another video of a bmw m car click right here if you want to see our pov review playlist click
