Nokia 8.1 Vs Poco F1 In-depth Camera Comparison - Who Is Better

**Outdoor Shots: A Comparison between Poco and Nokia 8.1**

In this comparison, we will be evaluating the outdoor shots taken by both the Poco and Nokia 8.1 smartphones. The Left side of the screen shows the Poco, while the Right side displays the Nokia 8.1. We take note that the Poco seems to have done better in these outdoor shots compared to the Nokia. For instance, notice the bike - it appears more sharply defined on the Poco, whereas on the Nokia, it looks slightly washed out.

**Dynamic Range and Color Temperature**

We then examine the dynamic range of both smartphones in a direct sunlight setting. The results show that the Poco has a better dynamic range compared to the Nokia. In another shot taken from the roof garden, we can see that the Poco produces more accurate colors, whereas the Nokia appears to have a cold tint.

**Evening Before Sunset and Macro Shots**

In the evening before sunset shots, both smartphones perform well, but with slight variations in terms of dynamic range. When zoomed in, however, the Poco seems to produce more detail in close-up macro shots compared to the Nokia. Furthermore, notice how accurately the wall is rendered on the Poco - it produces a more pleasing image.

**Portraits and Harsh Backlight**

We then move on to portrait mode shots, where both smartphones struggle to handle harsh backlight conditions. However, when using the Bouquet mode, we observe that the Poco performs slightly better in terms of skin tone accuracy compared to the Nokia. Additionally, notice how the Poco evenly illuminates the subject's face, making it appear more pleasing.

**Bouquet Mode and Portrait Shots**

We repeat some shots taken in the Bouquet mode and compare them to the same shots taken in regular mode. The results show that both smartphones struggle with harsh backlight conditions in low-light environments. However, when using the Bouquet mode, the Poco seems to produce a more pleasing image compared to the Nokia.

**Portrait Mode with Artificial Lighting**

In artificial lighting conditions, we find that the Nokia performs better than expected, producing a sharper image compared to the Poco. Interestingly, however, in low-light environments, both smartphones struggle to deliver optimal results.

**Front-Facing Camera Analysis**

When examining the front-facing camera of both smartphones, we notice that the Nokia tends to produce over-sharpened images, resulting in an unnatural look. In contrast, the Poco produces more natural-looking images, making it a preferred choice for selfies and front-facing camera shots.

**Rear Facing Camera Analysis**

Finally, we examine the rear facing cameras of both smartphones. While neither performs exceptionally well, the Poco's ISP seems to have an edge in Bouquet mode shots, resulting in better skin tone accuracy and tones compared to the Nokia 8.1. However, individual results may vary, and it is essential to try out the camera on your own device before making a final decision.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, both smartphones show promise, but with varying degrees of success. While the Poco excels in certain areas, such as macro shots and Bouquet mode shots, the Nokia 8.1 shines in others, like low-light conditions and front-facing camera performance. Ultimately, it is crucial to consider individual needs and preferences when choosing between these smartphones.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and in this video we'll be doing the comparison between the poco FM and the Nokia 8.1 just a couple of days ago had posted the full review of the Nokia 8.1 I'm in the comments there was a lot of discussion going on between this one and the poco so I decided let's do a camera comparison between these two because I also was not sure which one is better so I have taken a lot of sample shots guys so again and this video has been published in 4k so I would suggest watch it and full screen then only you might notice the differences there are some minor differences in the camera so let's do the comparison but before that again a very quick in terms of build quality definitely I would say the Nokia 8.1 feels a better built and also feels a lot more premium than the book waveform but the fact is that the poco has a better processor the Snapdragon 845 which was the flagship by Qualcomm till now whereas this one has the Snapdragon 710 and so see and also I just ran some antutu scores and definitely the poco scores are not higher almost one Lac higher compared to the what is a Nokia 8.1 so definitely yeah the processor isp etc is better on the poco and also pricing there is a huge difference this is for 27,000 this one is for about 20,000 but let's now compare the camera on this one so I'll be showing you a sample side-by-side and again guys watch it in the full screen mode so that you would know the difference so let's start with outdoor shots on the Left we have the poco and on the right we have the Nokia 8.1 and in this short I feel the poco did better than the Nokia and in this short also I feel the poco did far better than Nokia notice the bike it's a lot more sharper on the poco whereas on the Nokia it looks slightly washed out here is another shot taken in direct sunlight and here again the poco has better dynamic range another shot of buildings again slight difference in the color temperature between the two and this was taken in my roof garden again you notice the color difference on the poco the picture is a lot warmer whereas on the Nokia the picture has a very cold tint in this picture I feel both of the actually did a pretty good job shots taking in the evening before sunset and both of them actually look good but for some reason the dynamic range is slightly better on the poco as you can see in this picture I feel both of them actually did a pretty good job you decide which is better you know this is sort of a close-up macro shot and both looks similar but when we zoom in as you can see the poco produced more detail so for very close macro shots poco has a slight edge dem lets situation and notice the wall here I feel and imminent situation the poco is producing more accurate colors notice when i zoom in it also has a lot more detail in this picture I feel both of them actually did a pretty good job but in this picture I feel the nokia did better because when i zoom in because of that optical image stabilisation the picture is a lot more sharper now let's move to human subjects and here I feel both of them are actually doing a pretty good job but when you zoom in the Nokia face and notice the face is slightly sharper but the poco lights of the face evenly so it looks like a more pleasing shot here is the same shot in the bouquet mode and again as you can see notice the face again the face looks let evenly more with the poco wanted to test how they handle harsh backlight and I feel both of them are sort of struggling here and this is same in the portrait mode and again here I feel the nokia darkens the face when you are in the portrait mode so I took one more shot again both are in the portrait mode and similar situation notice the faces this was around sunset this is the normal shot and this was taken in the bouquet mode and now I'm zooming up I don't know about you but the popo image looks more pleasing to me one of the last outdoor shots that I took this was in the regular mode and this was in the portrait bouquet mode this is an artificial lighting conditions and here I feel the nokia picture is a lot more sharper than poco one and this is in the bouquet mode and surprisingly here the nokia is actually in doing better in the portrait mode compared to the poco and this was in very low lighting conditions both are sort of struggling but I feel the poco image is just slightly better on the other hand the noise is a lot less on the nokia because of very aggressive noise reduction so if you zoom in the Nokia which might look better now I'm going to the front-facing camera I feel the nokia does some over sharpening as you can see the picture watch it in the full screen and that gives a very harsh effect this is the bouquet bowed and even in the book a mode the good thing is that the Nokia and both the Pope are doing HT detection pretty well but the Nokia because of that over processing and making the picture sharper with the front-facing camera it looks unnatural so some very interesting results I also didn't expect this kind of results first if we talk about the front-facing camera as you saw with the samples I feel the nokia point one though the front-facing camera is resolution is really good but that is just doing some sharpening on the face hence it looks a little bit artificial so I would say for the front-facing camera I definitely prefer the poco vera's now moving to the rear facing camera I would say both of them have their strengths and weaknesses so we can't just say that one is better than the other but definitely when I was shooting those bouquet portrait shots I felt because it might be due to the isp on the poco a 845 has a better isp hence in that already say bouquet shots the skin color and the tones were slightly better compared to the nokia 8.1 but again you have the sample so you decide which one do you think is a better camera centric smartphone anyways guys that's it for now for this video and if you guys are still not subscribed to my youtube channel make that subscribe button this is Ranjith and i hope to see you in my next video take care guyshi there
