OnePlus 11 - Your Frequently Asked Questions Answered

The OnePlus 11: A Comprehensive Review

OnePlus has finally released its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 11. We put this phone to the test and here's what we found out.

Firstly, the OnePlus 11 supports PD charging, but it charges the battery very slowly. This means that if you're used to a fast-charging experience, you'll have to wait a while for your phone to charge up.

The phone comes with ColorOS, which is basically a refined version of Oxygen OS. However, under the hood, it's still running on ColorOS, and not the original Oxygen OS. This might be a disappointment for some users who were expecting a more premium experience. Additionally, there are some frame drops while navigating through the interface, which can be annoying.

One of the main concerns with the OnePlus 11 is its performance. The phone uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but it's underclocking this processor to keep costs down. This means that the phone's performance is not as good as some of its competitors, such as the Samsung S23 Ultra or the Google Pixel 7 Pro.

We ran some benchmarks on the phone, and the results were disappointing. The single-core score in Geekbench was around 1064, which is lower than what we've seen from other phones with similar processors. The multi-core score was also significantly lower at 3864, compared to the Samsung S23 Ultra's score of 4916.

Another area where the OnePlus 11 falls short is its battery life. The phone has a relatively large battery, but it uses an older LPoL3 screen, which is not as power-efficient as some other screens on the market. As a result, we found that the battery life was not as good as expected, and we had to charge the phone more frequently.

The camera on the OnePlus 11 is good, but it's not exceptional. While it performs well in bright lighting conditions, it struggles in low light. However, even in low light, the camera produces some very nice images. It's clear that OnePlus has put a lot of effort into improving its camera software.

In conclusion, the OnePlus 11 is a solid device with some notable strengths and weaknesses. While it's not perfect, it's still worth considering if you're in the market for a new phone. However, if you're looking for the best performance or battery life, you may want to consider other options.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys this is Ranjit and in this video we'll be doing the FAQ video on this uh OnePlus 11. where I'll be answering some of the questions that you guys have posted and guys I would urge that you watch my video on the OnePlus 11 I had already posted that video it's almost a 20 minute long video that had actually answered a lot of other common questions but let's get on with this one because many of you have raised a very important questions and I'll try to answer them uh and the first question that I got is from ABI he's asking does it have any bloatware uh no I would say no bloatware there are some OnePlus specific apps but again good thing is that like Oppo or Vivo devices no bloatware that I have found any improvements in the camera as I said in my initial video yes camera the main primary camera that's a 50 megapixel is actually very very good so there is definitely an improvement in the camera and even in low lighting I feel this is an improvement in camera if we compare it from earlier OnePlus devices but ultrawide at night I didn't find it to be that in impressive the zoom is good it's 2x but again it's not optically stabilized like in many other flagships so you have to be a little bit careful when using that but overall yes the camera is better compared to earlier OnePlus devices uh lastly he says how would you rank it in the Flagship killer alternative category where we have the pixels and the motors uh very interesting questions I would say uh the pixel 7 might be better for a lot of other users I'll talk about it because many of the other questions are related to the pixel 7 so that's what it is okay let's go to the second question and this is by Santosh I he says I've heard OnePlus 11 camera is good can it compete with the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra and the iPhone 14 pro I didn't test it with the iPhone 14 pro but definitely uh this is the s23 ultra and I even tested with s23 and I would say uh both the s23 and the s23 ultra or even you could say pixel uh just if you look at the camera are better than don't get me wrong the camera is not bad on this one but it's camera highest priority yes the Ultras or the pixels go ahead anyways moving to the next one and again uh these are a bunch of questions that I've got so let me actually talk about these questions and I'll answer some similar questions uh first one from grocery he's saying uh seeing the recent friend of OnePlus update situation what is the guarantee that this device won't get crippled with buggy software updates after their uh OnePlus 12 and 13 releases next and similar question from can we trust OnePlus again especially when they have crippled our devices in the pass through OTA updates and again rdnd is also can we trust the OnePlus brand when it comes to long-term usage answer this one uh bluntly I would say no there is no guarantee how the updates will fare on these OnePlus 11 devices if you have seen in the recent trend of the past one and a half years or two years many of the older OnePlus devices after the updates new updates were crippled and also we had the screen issues whereafter updates many users actually complained to me that the screens were getting damaged and stuff like that so yes that's a concern and to be frank I don't have an answer towards this how will this age we don't know OnePlus is promising next four years of Android updates but at this point I just don't know how will be the updates will it the device or not nobody can say I would say OnePlus should just come out and say publicly that yes you have that one year of warranty that's a regular warranty but we will give additional two years warranty if uh with OT updates or something the screen gets damaged if they can do that that will sell a lot of users because a lot of users these are just three that I picked up but I found doesn't users actually worried about the quality of updates that OnePlus might push on their devices so to be very Frank I don't know I don't have a magic mirror what will be the update and how will this age but again I feel OnePlus if they are confident about this devices they should give an additional two-year warranty on the screens let's say after an update or something the screen gets damaged like it was happening for earlier OnePlus they've replaced for free if they do that then the credibility and the fears that a lot of users are having uh will be quelled down in my Frank Opinion okay moving to the next question this is by Abbas how important is OnePlus ad free software if we compare this phone with the Vivo and xiaomi's in the same price range now definitely as I've told you we don't have any a major bloatware or anything like this for example even the Vivo flagships actually have some bloatware and stuff like that so that way I would say it's a very clean experience compared to Vivo or even Oppo devices uh I haven't actually tested recently any xiaomi Flagship so I can't comment Ultra the next whatever 13 Pro is going to launch by xiaomi hopefully if I get the device I'll test it out and see if that has bloated but that way I would say bloat pair free it's very similar to the Motorola smartphones uh they don't have bloatware that's the same case on even with this OnePlus uh moving to the next one this is by ritesh how it performs like haptics camera and network connectivity Optics as I've told you in my uh video again watch that video brilliantly done haptics in fact you have a dedicated control over here you can adjust the amount of haptics you want what the vibration you can actually control the type of haptics that you want so the haptics I would say brilliantly done on this one uh camera again as I've told you good and the network connectivity I did not have any problems so many of you are asking I'm getting good speeds over Wi-Fi I have Wi-Fi 6E router and even on 5G I didn't have a problem I'm getting the 5G signal with Airtel 5G and even jio 5G works so that way I did not have a problem and compare it with pixel 7 pixel 7 again guys as of now we don't have the 5G signal on this one that update is supposed to be coming in March so apart from that I would say even I didn't have any network issues or stuff like that call quality issues even on the pixel side but 5G update has still not come on the pixel 7. I'll also leave the link for Pixel 7 in this what is a YouTube video itself YouTube has started this new thing where we can link the products whether the video itself so you can check it out so you can get the latest pricing of the pixel 7 or whatever anyways moving to the next one uh again this is a similar question uh this is by Charan how does it fare against the pixel 7 and camera and an experience okay first let's talk about the experience in terms of experience I would say uh I would say uh if you are a OnePlus purest uh then you will appreciate the experience on the pixel 7 this pixel 7 is stock Android close to stock Android very very fluid though it's just 90 Hertz screen very very fluid no frame drops or anything that you get so I would say uh if your OnePlus purest you will like the pixel 7 a little bit more I would say closer to stock Android and has that Essence I would say which is slightly missing because this feels like a Oppo device because of the color who has to be practical uh also in camera I would say both are good but if I have to pick one winner among the camera yes that would be the pixel 7 and also the pixel 7 as I've told you uh the pricing of the pixel 7 is also below 55 000. so again yes uh obviously uh you can also consider the pixel set one area I would say the OnePlus goes ahead compared to the pixel is again the pixel 7 does not have this crazy fast charging like this OnePlus has and also in battery life I would say the OnePlus will last better than the pixel 7. it's not like the pixel 7 won't last for a tip full typical working day but yes this you have to charge it at night but if I forget charging this at night next day I can use it for about uh in until morning without any issues so that's the big difference uh next is uh is it worth moving from iPhone 10r to OnePlus 11. I would strongly suggest instead of the OnePlus 11 you should go for the pixel 7 because if you're coming from the iPhone 10r you are used to that polished clean UI experience and everything and I feel in that case uh the pixel is the one that you should go instead of this one plus 11 or the 11R in my Frank Opinion anyways moving to the next one uh this is by Ash he says security concerns and what to look out for compared to Samsung example the Samsung has not xiaomi anything in MIUI 14 and stuff uh if we are looking for what do you say extra security for example uh in a corporate Network your phone needs to be secure for example Samsung has their knots on their higher end smartphones sadly uh the this OnePlus 11 does not have anything like that if you are concerned about that then you can consider the Samsung Flagship even the pixel uh seven series of stuff it has the Titan chip on this that encrypts everything and even many of the Motorola high-end uh smartphones actually have I'm forgetting the technical smart Shield or something like that it has so that also has a built-in encryption but sadly this one does not have any features like that so if it's corporate environment I would lean towards those other devices I would say this is by Amit uh one a new OnePlus phone doesn't have the old OnePlus have the feel of the OnePlus old OnePlus phone will you suggest OnePlus 11 to a new one plus one buyer or would you suggest to another some other devices and I got similar comments from quite a few of you I would say if you have never used a OnePlus device earlier you can certainly go with the OnePlus 11 you would be happy with it but if you are old OnePlus user and you know what the original oxygen OS was then you will feel a disconnect on this one because this is essentially just color OS without any ads and oxygen over skin on that and within when you're using the UI you will definitely feel that so if you are hardcore OnePlus user and you're used to that oxygen OS finesse and that you feel then and this will look a little bit different I would say to be frank but if you have never used a OnePlus device then you will be fine for it I would say this feels like a very very polished Oppo smartphone in my Frank wheel in fact I would say uh this might be one of the best Oppo smartphones because in this one you don't get any ads or anything and the pricing is also relatively good in fact uh if Oppo releases a similar phone like this maybe they'll change the back color to back or whatever they'll do and they'll increase the price to 65 000. so that way if you are okay with the Oppo smartphone this is a great deal I would say for that price point because Oppo uh if they release a similar phone like this they'll have some extra bloatware they'll change the back to that shiny back and stuff that increase the price so that's my Frank Opinion uh moving to the next one this is by rajender uh is the OnePlus 11 or the Samsung s20 through which one is more value for money compared in all segments I would say if you're just talking about value for money then definitely I would say the OnePlus 11 is more value for money because this you can get for 55 000. whereas what is that s23 it's the base variant is for 80 000 they're giving eight thousand rupees off so that also it's about 72 000. so there is a good price difference between this one and that one I would say in camera definitely the s23 goes ahead and also it's a little bit more fluid and the RAM management has been done very well on the s23 just like the pixel 7. but considering the price point if you're just taking price point until the point fifty five thousand versus seventy two thousand this is definitely not a bad phone it's actually a very good deal even if you watch my unboxing video where I share my Impressions or Impressions I said that for this price this is actually pretty good deal the only thing is that I noticed that the processor on this is not that fast compared to other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 devices maybe they underclocked it I'll address that in the next part of the question there are a few questions okay uh this is by Mr Kumar he says what will be the impact on data transfers as OnePlus 11 is using USB to yes the USB port is just USB type USB 2 Port not the USB 3 or 3.1 that we get in other flagships so if you're just transferring big files it will be a lot slower on this one compared to the new ones I would say for regular files it won't matter but if you're moving big videos and stuff then you will notice that speed difference maybe on this you'll be able to transfer those heavy files etcetera into three minutes this will take about 10 odd minutes that's the big difference even the iPhone the iPhone 14 14 pro actually they also don't support USB 3 speed so yeah that's a pack anyways moving to the next one uh this is by uh one uh hey this is a general question how do we recognize the device and the charger supports PD because once I had tried to charge the OnePlus 30 watt charger but the phone didn't charge that quickly uh both uh the what is the charger with the OnePlus devices that's basically a book charger and also Oppo devices it's a custom charger this is not a PD charger uh so the OnePlus technically does support PD charging but I think so the PD charging is capital just 18 watt this is a very old standard of PD charging so yes you can use a PD charger but it will charge it very very slowly it will not charge it as quickly as the default charger oh okay and I'm moving to the next one this is the professor what is the main USP in OnePlus 11 is the OS experience the same as it was earlier as it's integrated with color OS uh no as I've told you this is basically a refined Oppo smartphone and with a custom what do you say skin that looks like oxygen OS and they threw some of the things that were there on the oxygeneres like the shelf and all those things they have thrown in but again underneath this is still color OS trying to look like what do you say uh oxygen OS to be very very Frank uh but as I've told you if you have never experienced the original oxygen OS you will be okay with that yes it's not that refined I noticed some frame drops here and there while just moving to the orientation and stuff like that RAM management is not that good but overall if you haven't experienced the original uh oxygen OS most people will be okay with it but again you have those picky ones the ten percent of them you will feel that this is not the pure OnePlus experience that you expected moving to the next one this is by Sharma some creators are saying that the battery backup is not so good and performance also shows throttling uh how's your results and testing as I've told in my uh first initial video again Watch start uh the battery life is good it's not like it's not bad easily it'll last for about one and a half days for most users but if I compare it with some other smartphones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 this is the s23 ultra and even had the IQ 11 those who are giving me better battery life compared to this OnePlus 11. and I think so that's because of the screen on this one this is using a older ltpo 3 screen which is not that power efficient and one thing I was very very surprising is that I did run some benchmarks the geekbench 6 was recently launched so I ran on this one and definitely yes the geekbench score for single core as you can see I got 1064 and multi-core 3864. which is quite less for Snapdragon 8 gen 2. I ran it on this s2300 are the same test here I got 1881 you are just 1064. there's a huge difference I would say and even again multi-core also huge difference this got 4916 whereas the OnePlus got just 3868 I'll leave a picture of this one for again so definitely I feel the processor is also under clogged on this one even uh the IQ 11 was giving me much better what do you say Benchmark results compared to this one that's why uh I noticed that slight what do you say uh stuttering here and there it's not there it's just about two three percent time I noticed when I was chaining the orientation or moving a bit quickly between the apps I noticed that slide slutter which was not there on these other phones like icon 11 or even the s23 or the s23 ultra uh okay uh this is by at least uh is the camera good considering the price how is the low light performance yes the camera as I've told you is good uh you will not complain uh the camera and even in what do you say low lighting conditions at night I took a lot of photographs watch my unboxing video they came out actually much better than what I thought so the camera is not bad at all but again if you start comparing it with the pixels or the s23 series yes those have better camera uh this is by Bumble B uh please provide the benchmarks as I'm seeing a review unit showing significantly lower around 758 single core in geek pension I didn't get that low score as I've shown you I got a score of 1064 on geekbench for the single core uh yes this is significantly lower than the s23 series or even the IQ 11 so looks like it's at least in India this is the retail uh what is a product that I purchased from Amazon so this is the one that you'll be getting so look like it looks like at least in India they are under clocking the processor uh on this one I will do this testing a little bit more regarding the output processor performance so again stay tuned for that so Guys these were the most of the important questions that you guys were asking about the OnePlus 11. so what do you guys feel about this OnePlus 11 do let me know in the comment section below and if you have still more questions about this one do let me underneath this is still color OS trying to look like what do you say uh oxygen OS to be very very Frank uh but as I've told you if you have never experienced the original oxygen OS you will be okay with that yes it's not that refined I noticed some frame drops here and there while just moving to the orientation and stuff like that RAM management is not that good but overall if you haven't experienced the original uh oxygen OS most people will be okay with it but again you have those picky ones the ten percent of them you will feel that this is not the pure OnePlus experience that you expected moving to the next one this is by Sharma some creators are saying that the battery backup is not so good and performance also shows throttling uh how's your results and testing as I've told in my uh first initial video again Watch start uh the battery life is good it's not like it's not bad easily it'll last for about one and a half days for most users but if I compare it with some other smartphones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 this is the s23 ultra and even had the IQ 11 those who are giving me better battery life compared to this OnePlus 11. and I think so that's because of the screen on this one this is using a older ltpo 3 screen which is not that power efficient and one thing I was very very surprising is that I did run some benchmarks the geekbench 6 was recently launched so I ran on this one and definitely yes the geekbench score for single core as you can see I got 1064 and multi-core 3864. which is quite less for Snapdragon 8 gen 2. I ran it on this s2300 are the same test here I got 1881 you are just 1064. there's a huge difference I would say and even again multi-core also huge difference this got 4916 whereas the OnePlus got just 3868 I'll leave a picture of this one for again so definitely I feel the processor is also under clogged on this one even uh the IQ 11 was giving me much better what do you say Benchmark results compared to this one that's why uh I noticed that slight what do you say uh stuttering here and there it's not there it's just about two three percent time I noticed when I was chaining the orientation or moving a bit quickly between the apps I noticed that slide slutter which was not there on these other phones like icon 11 or even the s23 or the s23 ultra uh okay uh this is by at least uh is the camera good considering the price how is the low light performance yes the camera as I've told you is good uh you will not complain uh the camera and even in what do you say low lighting conditions at night I took a lot of photographs watch my unboxing video they came out actually much better than what I thought so the camera is not bad at all but again if you start comparing it with the pixels or the s23 series yes those have better camera uh this is by Bumble B uh please provide the benchmarks as I'm seeing a review unit showing significantly lower around 758 single core in geek pension I didn't get that low score as I've shown you I got a score of 1064 on geekbench for the single core uh yes this is significantly lower than the s23 series or even the IQ 11 so looks like it's at least in India this is the retail uh what is a product that I purchased from Amazon so this is the one that you'll be getting so look like it looks like at least in India they are under clocking the processor uh on this one I will do this testing a little bit more regarding the output processor performance so again stay tuned for that so Guys these were the most of the important questions that you guys were asking about the OnePlus 11. so what do you guys feel about this OnePlus 11 do let me know in the comment section below and if you have still more questions about this one do let me know I'll try to answer the them and guys stay tuned to the channel a lot more videos coming soon take care guys\n"
