"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enUSA USA you name it you call him to the mix back onto the side of that Supra glues it to the door and across the Adam LC has taken third step on the podium all right guys we touch down in Poland one of my favorite places on Earth and one thing we do in all the country we've been to we go to a coffee shop first thing and guess what they have baby parois and it just so happened that it was the only word that I recognized in the menu cuz they didn't have an English menu so we got 36 peris to enjoy bit of a tight squeeze in here bro everyone in traffic was yelling I know I saw Owen getting yelled at yeah dude this country's crazy there's no parking spaces so we had Owen waiting in the middle of the road with the runal car this dude was there for like 10 seconds like Who whoo W no we we were watching from inside he was yelling at par anywhere lights on so dude look we got 36 parois that's good I'm so fired up right now I saw that on the menu I got excited I feel they didn't have any cheeseburgers on I'm sorry it's a vibe in Poland roi's on the dash we've been journeying through the Polish Countryside and we are headed over to sposa Motorsport our friends from Poland that's where the E36 is we going to do some work on it hang out with them for a couple days also if you don't remember I drove the S15 last year at the same round in Poland in the state in 800 M your destination will be on the right coolest shops tucked away in the Polish Countryside look at the rigs lined up too that rig is so sick we're back at the spos of compound thank you for having us I'm not pretty oh you're always pretty what do you think about the car I know it's a little different than the S15 that I drove last year s S15 is better yeah yeah maybe we trade no this car only smoke one more time smoke smoke fire or smoke and fire smoke and fire so that's actually one of the first things that Johan's been working on he flew in his suitcase with some vibrant titanium and he's already modified the exhaust to get it to come a little bit farther back because of the situation on e36s it's hard to get ground clearance so it was ending basically in line with the axle now it comes out a little bit farther one of the theories of the fires happening is that the exhaust Flames were catching the tire on fire so moving it back further helps a bit but uh on certain tracks it's definitely going to grab the ground and scrape which also is an ideal but it's whatever and the number two thing which was actually a problem I had last year at this track the run up and everything's so short and you build so much speed going into it that you have to hand breake foot brake get back on the gas and it's hard to fire off with enough RPM if you don't have enough time to get the revs up so I said hey if we have time can we add a uh a Nitro shot and sure enough the boys have scrapped together some parts how's the nitrous inst going Lee yeah it's going good so far all right what do we got going on it's all ready we got the nitrous bottle over here it is clearly securely mounted right in there it's a working progress pending bolts it's Bluetooth bolts right now line comes up through here existing grommet already installed so OEM quality then this I think we're going to go get some self tappers maybe just duct tape it right in there but then we didn't have a separate soleno for Purge so we had this like this uh there's two solenoids inside so we stripped the wires separate and then we did a little taline and looped around did a loop-de-loop and Purge and then this is your high quality zip tie Purge line hey it'll work uh with a you know cap there for fun so the theory is it's going to be a small shot probably like a 50 shot or whatever sprayed right in before the throttle body super easy to control with a link um but the idea is it basically is used as a spool Aid so in the event that you get back on the throttle and let's say revs aren't up high enough if you just come off the handbrake if you're making adjustment in the chase that 50 shot can actually wake the turbo up and give you almost 100 to 150 foot pounds of torque more just because it brings in the power that much sooner so it's kind of more of a safety margin than anything on your ideal lead lap you wouldn't actually be using it but in the event that something weird happens it's nice to have especially with how gripped up these cars are but I'm excited to have this thing in a stadium with 50,000 people it's crazy that's a lot it's like seeing all those people in the stadium it's like wow this many people care about drifting you know can you imagine I I don't know I haven't seen the stadium in person but it's it's going to be a lot just knowing like how many people actually like want to be there Al on how many people are at home watching it puts it in perspective so it's wild but uh anyway cars in good hands um we did decide we're going to leave some of the fire damage cuz why not but uh yeah just a chill day we're here three 4 days before the event um just kind of slowly working through stuff the other side of the world Johan still laying dimes was it a bit of a challenge with that welder yeah a little bit of a challenge it wasn't too bad it took a minute to like really get the groove on it and I was welding a TI with a small cup so we could show it yeah we we'll show the welder what's the main difference of the welders they use here compared to the Miller you use at home layman's terms so a price like this is entry level wether which you know you don't need too much crazy stuff to do anything that we do but simple it works probably 600 $700 versus a $7,000 wether so in layman's terms what he has back home is like a 3.4 l 2JZ E36 and this is like uh a well sorted m52 you know entry level it'll work it'll get the job done but you know if you're trying to go compete in the Pro leagues in drift Masters we need a bigger 3 four ity looks great though yeah I know and it did the work I had it well with this cup for TI which wasn't that great so there's color but I don't care well it looks consistent as long as it holds up for one event we'll be all right so in in Poland what we would say is uh to see that means it's good good yeah that's all that's all I know how to say I can't say it's yeah there you go look at us come on to to you have new radiator for me what new RoR why do why do I need a radiator intercooler inter oh intercooler what's wrong with my intercooler special I make this in my hand what look at this oh my goodness yeah this is beauty only supposed to have Motorsport tippe Chu what does that mean you know temp chugu no uh one more is this how you spell temp huo yeah I would know so Bish is so hard the way it's written is not how you say it so I have like my own spell calling on my phone to remember how to say stuff I would read that as teugu T chuu yeah but it's temp yeah and that means that means friend no no no no no no no where are we going where are we going going to fishing you guys coming fishing or what we're going fishing they don't believe that we're going fishing you're serious I don't think so yeah you see oh we'll see come on not suspension tell me tell me again say this is a crazy car yeah this is crazy car why is it crazy not have power and not have suspension what do you mean no power I don't know what is broken I think maybe pressure in Turbo or I don't know but but start and little right this is good yeah look at this look at this jump one more side jump oh yeah full gas Full Throttle now Full Throttle yeah so the the rear bags are just blown look at this look at this help me help me Adam I'll get out and push it works do you believe that we're going fishing yet Yan oh yeah I thought we were going to the pic River the what that DC River oh perfect yeah I brought a progis to try to fish with perfect like it when you need the fishing you need the size 14 yeah yeah yeah that's your size yeah perfect thank you what are you doing keep going keep going to the tip to the tip is this safe hey Lee start jumping it's only two Ms will it break go to yeah it's only 2 m oh what was that oh oh it's deer deer Sara Sara yes s guess who caught the first fish baby what are we nameing him I don't know you name him you caught him um we'll call him Peter it's pretty cool we could use that one as a bait I I literally couldn't even cast the line so I just dropped it in the water right there and it worked oh perfect dude you want to remove him I guess I can it's my least favorite part about fishing are they hold up from the tail yeah I don't even know if I can do that he's going to slip out of my hands all right so this is officially a piece of broken perogi see if a fish will bite that oh that's so bouny okay that might be it's blurry and a focus but I think they get the point J I saw your whole body airb are you okay yeah I'm I'm bracing maybe now it's SL loock what maybe now it's Lum loock I think it's Lo Eng but I work all for the unlock you know yeah Full Throttle look at this look at this oh spoil alert you guys may already know this from social media or the title of this video but I get third place in the end and to celebrate we're going to do 3% off all drift Masters team gear we got the Hat the windbreaker and the t-shirt that you can see on the screen it may not sound like a great deal but be lucky I didn't get first place cuz then it would have been 1% off oh all jokes aside I'm doing 10% off and uh if you guys want to get your hands on any of this stuff before it's gone forever head over to the lzmfg site and also get entered for a chance to win the gr Corolla and $12,500 cash because this is the last week to enter ultimate daily driver or fun weekend Cruiser you could do both and you can sport our racing too today which is Thursday is just set up day the spos sub team actually brought out their big rig again so we're posted up under here got David's car his spare car than my car pretty cool just finishing up the Nitro setup pretty chill day got some some bad news that it might be raining on Saturday and they're talking about closing the roof but because of that having to actually wet the track to keep smoke down otherwise everyone in the stands gets smoked out so interesting problem to have but still so crazy to me to think that we are drifting inside of this massive stadium look who came to Poland OH hi oh hello hello we the car ran too good so we wanted to make it a little bit more challenging for you so we added nitrous easy but guess what we got bad news uh they're going to be making it a wet track all weekend a wet track they have to close the roof because if it rains it will flood oh and then you can't smoke and then we can't have smoke so they W the track so do we really need the nitrous probably not oh I'm going home then I'm clocking out no it'll be great you'll be able to see better before it was so smoky inside even with the roof open what's damn you're getting good so many languages everybody's practicing right now the Acoustics are crazy pits here are always very chill Vibe there's a lot of drivers at this one we have an ongoing bet if I'm going to fall asleep or not at this one I've fallen asleep at almost every meeting so far gingi is going to be on camera Duty so if I fall asleep you need to capture film okay yes I got tired of kicking you last time yeah this is the the driver's meeting area get the end one then we want to see start to see you come away from that wall it's very rubbed out with h with rubber here but it is a reference point for you that your rear right wheel should be 2 m away from the all right about to go out for practice one thing I am stoked about is because it is wet we're able to add all the chassis into the car we've been taking out all the mechanical grip just cuz the tire over here is so wild but now I get to add back some of it in and I do feel like that is an advantage since in the US we focus way more on chassis setup because we don't have as grippy of a tire I know how to make my car really fast in the rain so um it should be a weapon out there going to go into practice have some fun and uh yeah we'll see what happens I remember how nervous I was the first time pulling in the stadium this is cool this is actually now the second track in drift Masters that I've driven before so know exactly what to expect not a lot of nerves just kind of go out there and basically drive a wet E Town inside of a stadium first Lop out with the wet I'm probably going to hang back a bit just to kind of make sure my gearing everything's good with the car focus on leads there's going to be like 60 drivers qualifying into a top 32 so qualifying is more important than dooring people in battles right now and uh we don't need to worry about smoke so we can hang back a little bit and just focus on our lead o we're hooked up it's crazy how much grip there is in the rain even showing smoke I can't believe how gripped up it is in the rain keep my distance focus on my Lin since we're not running this in the dry there should be a lot of rubber built up in the zones which will help a lot oh not bad gearing is definitely long but feels pretty good other than that so instead of the car wanting to grip up and then going to Too Much angle and looking wobbly I should be able to consistently keep it at a slower wheel speed wheel speed is really important in the rain sometimes I'll drop a gear just to make the car easier to drive and more smooth um but because it's going to be wet the whole time we're able to just basically gear the car for the rain all I need to get deeper in the zones oh track definitely feels a lot less grippy when it's wet like this my car feels very slow it looks like he was all over me so I might need to add more speed w note to self do not handbrake check in the rain it just basically instantly grips up the car so I just going to have to left foot brake like all the time in the chase the handbrake checks do not work feels better definitely some things I could still work on uh Freddy's reviewing the log so we can figure out how wheel speed's looking so let's look at a log of the first lap versus the second lap to see like what average RPM is and then maybe we can work backwards from there to figure out if wheel speed's good looking at the data from the link EC you all right what's average RPM your average is maybe 6,000 5,000 this was the first lap the first lap so longer wheel speed looking here you can kind of see me working the throttle to maintain wheel speed this is your RPM clot and you're hovering maybe 5 to 6,000 okay yeah so you're very like it comes in boost and you lift cuz the car would want to probably over rotate on you yep all right so second lap looks like average RPM's a little bit higher a little bit higher you hit rev limiter a couple times here this was an occasion of maybe 2 seconds on limiter uh but overall looks like it could take a little more wheel speed out of the car as well just to keep the average RPM higher so you're not constantly loading up the motor and waiting on it all the time you know that makes sense a little easier to drive a little bit smoother too yep and then down here this plot is uh where the wage that's pretty much every time nitrous is active so we are using it yeah so you're in the window a good amount as well I think the thing about it is it it helps in the rain and the scenario of trying to be smooth cuz instead of having a clutch kick to wake the car up and like causing a a jutter I can kind of roll into the throttle and it delivers more smoothly yeah how's it feel I mean it's just a 50 shot so it's not going to shock the tires that hard but it definitely bring the the torque in a little bit faster yeah it's just a good good safety window to have all right so right now I've gotten four laps and we'll probably get two more before going into qualifying in a very challenging stacked field now is kind of where the tricky games begin from planning from the sense of hey I want to make the car easier to drive but I actually think I'm better suited to drive the car that I currently have since I've done four Laps on it then make a change and only have two laps it's kind of a double-edged sword but sometimes it's better to just drive around how the car feels and just adjust your line as a driver and try to make the car easier to drive but not be used to it and then go into qualifying so um definitely more of a mental game than it may seem watching these videos um just going back and forth like oh should I change it maybe I shouldn't should I just change how I'm driving so thinking a small change of wheel speed but I'm leaving everything else the same definitely not the ideal car but I think it'll be my best chances for success I did no handbrake going into that last Zone all right going out into qualifying obviously this round not the most practice compared to others it's just difficult for them because of the timing of having the stadium going in the stadium out whatever um more than anything I'm just going to DED the same run I've been doing in practice maybe it up 2% but not take any risks get a solid score on the board then hopefully I'll have some feedback to know how I got to push it for the second run so I can lock in a higher score they don't do The Knockout qualifying like FD um so uh a little bit different strategy versus qualifying an FD that I would have done last year but um get to go out there make some cool noises and do thing before I go into something like this I'll kind of just visualize my run just to kind of remind myself all the things that uh I do well all the things I need to work on try not to overthink it but just thinking enough to kind of get my brain in the mode as if I've just been doing a bunch of laps versus being you know chilling in the pits then going out and having to do a lap a of the game is going out and after a while not driving doing a perfect lap and that's how you qualify well and that's how you win these things so it's definitely been a big focus is trying to go out there and snap my fingers and do cool stuff so cool with such a big audience here time to do the thing just got to drive and do what I've been doing that felt pretty good what do you think yeah I've notice here the the impact of brushing the front clip they like lose their minds over it and the judges love it and there's really no risk if you think about it what's the worst that's going to happen I'm going to push my front bumper in a couple inches next up we've got autum LZ you can see the car has definitely sustained some damage this here plenty of Tire fires there'll be no such Tire fires this weekend as he is drifting in the wet Adam LZ competed here last year did not qualify for the top 32 so he's coming back this year to redeem himself let's see if the 36 can Boogie here in the first qualifying run early initiation there as he goes right to the edge of the circuit left foot breaking to keep the car out there no contact with the wall smooth so far inside clip here very nice very close from mmlc the front just Kevlar flexes as he goes through there and as he takes it right across the circuit into the outside zone is transition quite nice oh and a big flick across this is where it gets Hy but he makes it work very aggressive there from mam LZ a solid run all the way through just leaning on that last zone so a very good run judges will probably have a look at that front inner clip I think because I think if you're going to go that deep in there that is that a kind of a crash should be rewarded you think think so I'm just saying if you're looking for precision he probably went a little too deep on that I think that is precision you Flex the front bumper of the front lip watch this incredible Again full trust from initiation because he trusted it he he threw caution to the wind he knew it going to work look at the line for in a clip and then watch this line it is perfection because all he does boom a little Flex a little Boop on the nose of that bmw3 was a great run and then for me the rest of it was absolute textbook he was deep enough in the zones it wasn't really f in the back end he was just proving to the judges that hey I can get into the zones without touching the wall yeah very solid very controlled and at no point using the walls or you know to to try and keep himself look at it's equal distance away on nearly all the walls it was only here right at the end he touched the wall just to say yeah I can get there good run from Adam LZ let's see the scores from the judges and a very nerve settler as they say yeah yeah and a 90 on the board for Adam LZ a 90 on the board and I tell you what I think a little bit more Precision on that inside clip a little bit closer to the walls just a just a smidge I don't think and you're at 100 there I don't think he's there I think it's just rubbing the bumper on the wall yeah hell yeah good work thank you Ginge I know spotting has been really key at this track hell yeah I mean I I would I mean I don't want to count my chickens but I I feel like that's enough to at least get us into the show and give us margin to go harder on the next one well I'm super stoked 90 is like the best way to start qualifying I uh I pretty much did everything I wanted to do watch back the run if I was going to kick myself over anything it just be that zone and infield I was like halfway into so if I had that full it probably would have been an extra two points and it probably would have maybe even held first but I predict that a handful of people will probably score higher than a 90 now comes a strategy second run do I go balls to the wall and try to go for 100 or do I try to just get two or three points better which may be the smarter move to get a good qualifying position and not risk for lack of better go in for broke where you know you go too hard and then you end up defaulting your first score when let's just say everyone else gets above 90 or there's a bunch of tiebreakers on 90 if the second score weighs in I'd be better suited just to put like a solid score on the board so I'll probably do that just push like maybe 5% deeper in all the zones try to fix that Center Zone and then everything else I'm super happy with so definitely takes a lot of the pressure off it's wild eight laps competing in a stadium with tens of thousands of people uh varying wet conditions every lap definitely probably one of the biggest challenges of drifting even though it's a simple track so it feels good to have done it and come out the other side oh definitely a sloppier run the track was way more patchy in the middle of the zone that I'm driving through right now it's like almost dry and it causes you to kind of drive out of the zone and then correct is on the line Adam elz currently in 10th position with a 90 from his first run looks really focused this weekend not as many you know high fives and smiles he said he really wants to do what he did better than last year he wants to qualify for the show and Adam LZ comes off the line in that E36 BMW throwing it wide and wild big angle on the initiation gets there late to the outer zone though not quite as close to the wall as he was on his first run as he comes through that inner Zone that transitions back this is where he's been excellent and he does the same thing again takes the headlight out the car looking they're not real headlights as he goes wide a little wobble there from LZ as he goes out to that outer zone keep being in the outer zone but not Perfection so far as he goes across that outer last This Is Where It's Tricky you got to control you see the damage St to the front of the car from that inner Wall clip as he comes on the front breake and levels the throttle into that last Zone using the left fo break to massage the car out and again another solid run from LZ but I'm not sure it had as much spice as the first unfortunately here look boom you see that contact and doesn't affect him though you can see he's still laser focused thinking about the rest of the Run rather than that small mistake another driver growing into this champion ship taking that time to really find his feet but now I think he's in the zone I think he's in the right place for drift Masters and I think he feels comfortable here absolutely and he has the potential to top qualifying win an event it's just difficult when as he said himself everything is new you know he said I said the one event I was looking forward to was Poland and then he said and then I came here and it was wet so he was like I've learned absolutely nothing from last year so a 90 on the board still leaves him in 10th position so uh a strong showing I don't remember I said this before but guys the feeling of pulling into that stadium with the pack stands like as someone who started drifting at a track the Orlando Speed World skid pad with like six people the the craziness of having tens of thousands of people it is surreal so the fact that I'm even able to complete a lap when I used to get like super jittery before things like this sick it's definitely shown a testament to how far I've taken the mental game of competition I feel like that's been one of my biggest strengths this year but it's cool you know I I definitely uh I pushed a little bit too hard but also the track itions were a little bit different couple more dry patches so some of the tactics that worked in the earlier battles caused the car to start to hook up so I had to make some corrections nonetheless the 90 should hold probably in the top 16 there's a lot of really good drivers out here so we'll have a tough first battle but at least we made it in the show we didn't do that last year so uh yeah we'll go watch they got a 10th anniversary thing going on and then see where the night takes us imagine how cool it would be to be driving on the track right now all the lights and everything all right it's comp day now and the exciting part of this for me is that practice I get to line up with the top 32 drivers because my standings to the series isn't great when I am in a group practice which is what I've been in the whole season uh a lot of the times I get paired up with the wild cards which some of the times aren't the uh the best drivers of the field so a lot of times in practice since we get so few laps I got to play it safe because I don't want to wad the car up um so I don't get great Chase practice but now going into competition day practice I can push pretty hard and it's really important that I do that way I can figure out if there's any mistakes or things you got to work on um in the chase position so it doesn't happen in the battle oh I d has been taking times and the guy that I'm going up against consistently has been about a second fast with me on the track which is um I would say a notable Gap from the sense of being a challenge to make that up by cutting line or whatever um I feel that in the chase I'm having to do a lot of like pedal work to keep the wheel speed um where the car doesn't over angle to kind of keep the car shallow so I have speed Freddy pulling up some logs which is kind of verifying what I'm feeling you can see consistently the RPM is what around like 5,000 and's low 4,400 4500 and you see me stabbing it to get up and then lifting and then stabbing it and then lifting and stabbing it lifting I want to just be more consistent on the throttle which will be faster than going that way I'm just doing that to kind of maintain the angle so um we did a wheel speed change but it a little bit too much so what' you do Freddy we bumped the limiter from 82 to 8,400 so that way at least if I need it I have a couple extra mph up top so I can kind of get the best of both worlds yep yep and then you're using a pound of nitrous per lap right now like that's how much we're spraying because the is a little long so this will reduce ma consumption and make the engine a little more responsive too got to give a shout out to Josiah for Lending us this big boy bottle thing's massive yeah Adam LZ to take on yoim Anderson two drivers never seen competition against each other this year to date n LZ looking to be the first US driver to go into the top 16 in a big Stadium event in Europe he missed out on qualifying last year when he came as a wild card he now had a really good qualifying result yesterday and can he submit that with a win in the E36 which as you can see is been pretty much on fire not such a problem here inside the stadium Adam LZ said we didn't even have to fix the problem there's that much water on the car we're not setting on fire anymore yander said new car this year has struggled a little bit for former times but he will love the challenge here of taking down LZ in front of the Polish fans here we go LZ in the lead big entry from LZ yok manison firing in the chase yeah big flick to initiation from Adam LZ but it works and it pays off and look at that right into that outside zone right up onto the wall but look at this from Anderson Anderson can trust Adam L's line and takes a brave swing through now Anderson on the inside he's going to have to dive up to get that proximity back and he does as Adam LZ makes his way through that long outside Zone Yi Manon right in there though on the pocket as they come through the center of circuit looks to set himself up for that second to last outside time Yoki man into a weird line there had to wait for Adam L to set himself up now LZ into the final outside Zone Anderson flicks it to angle across the line yeah I mean business as usual for both drivers there I mean it was a good lead run there was a couple of moments for LZ it looks to me the car is very hooked up every time you can see the back end just shift a little bit in the zones there was anything spectacular in the leader of the chase but it was smooth it was consistent it got all the zones Anderson doing a couple of uh good moments throughout there you can see all the fans like they're going by me look at this the nod of approval the nod of approval from that guy that's that's all you need Anderson could impress here with a really good lead cuz that L's lead Isa in the mid 880s it could be beaten so let's see what happens we go PR here down they come look at this El go that straight line approach big flick to angle long hand break Drago for Anderson but now he's into the outside turns just boes with the rear bumper that opens the door for Adam M as he comes through he's going to take that bumper off and he does spits it across the circuit as they look for outside zone four Anderson's on some Pace right now he's moving through the circuit very fast little tag on the wall upsets the line if as a slightly from Yim Anderson and Adam LZ deals with it waits for that transition a scrappy move through the middle of the circuit for the American as now the Swedish driver Yoki Merson looks for that final outside Zone and LZ jumps up onto the front wheel oh a little bit of proximity just towards the end and again drivers do that one because it's the safest part to do it cuz we're all finishing the run but also they do it because it's an exclamation point for the Judes that you know you were there there was some moments of Brilliance and there was some errors there on both sides we'll have a look at it in the replay but from where I'm sitting uh LZ gets some good proximity at times Anderson doing some good stuff at times but aror is creeping in this is first of all big hit with the wall from Anderson but he gets away with it just flexes it not as bad as it looks on the as it initially looked when I looked back on the Drone it was pretty solid there big angle from M there has the hand break a second time to three times he hand breaks down to the wall so the judges will be watching for that as LZ creeps up onto the door right at the end and look at this how close this is when you're in the car must be pretty hectic I mean he can put his hand out there and take the filler cap off Anderson's car if you wanted to yeah most of these cars now D absolute TS after a really hectic gear run two boys near got run over by the tractor there that would have been nobody wins that let's see who goes through to the top 16 Adam LZ gets the win and goes through to the top 16 he'll be happy with that when Yim Anderson bares out you can see yim's just not happy maybe just the Run didn't go as he wanted Adam L does get the win and go through to the top 16 he makes the parade that's what he said he wanted to do this weekend Adam that was an interesting battle it came down to a few mistakes on either side what is it like out there for a driver right now I mean I got to say it's an honor just to be here with the most insane crowd in drifting um to make it in the competition was awesome so to get to win my first battle like I'm still I'm in shock well congratulations you're into the top 16 enjoy it thank you thank you guys I'm really happy I think we made the the right call with getting the car set up my lead felt great uh my Chase was pretty much perfect I knew that he was going to roll me a little bit in the beginning closed that Gap soon and I had one small mistake in the infield in the chase where I grabbed the handbrake where I probably shouldn't have it's like a double-edged sword because when I don't do it the car might grip up when I do it it could establish a gap if that other guys really fast but uh wound up getting the win this thing sounds spicy as at 8500 RPM definitely not ideal to rev a three4 this high but um I think that gear change made it a lot easier to drive and the car seemed really happy and I was able to do what I needed to it and um yeah I'm stok said that um on the initiation Jack had an independent mistake from Peter and that was why their decision swayed over to Peter overall yeah and just while we were listening to you Kevin we're noticing some problems on track for Tor aric Cava car shut down in the burnout box and it looks like there's an issue with getting that car started back up again he's due to head-to-head with Adam LZ and he cannot go back into the pits to fix it he's got to fix it here in 2 minutes 1 minute 20 to get that car started so it's an electrical issue with the car so he's back out of the car again it's an electrical issue with kava's car he's getting very close to the yeah 33 seconds 30 seconds I'm not sure he's going to make this W the dash Illuminating there and nothing oh no and it's he he knows he's not going to be out to do it that is absolutely har breaking for T AR Cava and we're watching it happen right in front of our eyes he's out of competition in the burnout box with an electrical failure and I've got to say that is just the worst way to leave the competition and you know I was just noticing Adam LZ wasn't pulling to the line he was trying to stay in the burnout box to give Cava more time but the marshals forced LZ to go to the start line so even the other driver he's against tried to give him more time that's amazing sportsmanship it is Dave and the thing is they get a certain amount of time to warm the tires on the car and then they are forced to go to the start line Adam LZ was holding back and holding back and you know what Adam LZ would would really want to do battle with cavier because it's tan cavier he's he's not nobody Dave he's one of the best drivers from Norway and can you tell us what's happened it seems like something Electrical uh has gone bad it seems like the main power supply when I kept holding it I could probably start the car but I can't drive like that so yeah yeah it's oh I felt so good today and I felt so good in Hungary and I was ready to take on this battle with Adam who's had a like he's become so good and I wanted to have a good battle and yeah that's it thank you Poland not what we want to see oh man absolute heartbreak the USA so technically he has had some issues all year with the other ones so he's built three 36s almost in a year but he' be happy in Poland to get himself into the top eight and I know he will take the opportunity just to do a quick run of the track make sure the car is a okay put a wave on for the fans and and he's happy to go through but not the wave he going through no exactly that Dave So Adam oh close to the wall there nearly uh put himself in a little danger but nevertheless he's going to finish up this run he will take a full pass of the circuit every single run these guys can get they will get limited practice for these guys over the last two days and Adam LZ cross the line and secure the de and remove the bullet off the car the the car F to do it do it in sty holds on for a 360 that cable tie is just like I'm trying I'm really trying good news is we made it into the top eight bad news is it definitely wasn't the way I'd like to win he had an electrical issue and then after my lap uh it looks like my alternator went out because the voltage dropped below 12 volts let the guys know they rushed back to the pits got an alternator teed up they're changing it right now but there's only four battles in between us so it's going to be pretty tight but I believe they'll make it happen we'll be able to go out there but uh could we run the car without an alternator yes but it would create an issue probably after two runs because we start draining the battery too much but the good news is the way that this car is tuned and the parameters that are used in the link it will actually account for any voltage drop and it will add more injector Duty uh if voltages and other things are affecting how things fire and work so very cool and uh I've had lots of issues where I've lost alternators and never skipped to beat for the engine so thankful for that thankful for the dudes getting it back together right now now and uh yeah let's take it home I want a perogi Podium that's what I'm going for so we're going to go down to Becky Becky he's not continuing was it the worst was it what we feared the engine let go thankfully Dave the engine hasn't let go but we are down here with low right now and let me tell you the weather is absolutely biblical so thank goodness we had that roof close and those wet conditions inside the track but it's not good as we see you not pulling to the line with Adam LZ right now yeah I would say it's terminal because uh the oil went like 280 fit and uh there was oil coming out of the engine so yeah maybe a hole somewhere we don't know maybe a little bit worse than we thought then yeah yeah about uh judging from the knocking it's it's bad yeah okay well obviously you know you would have loved to appul to the line and just asked you right then has this all sunk in for you right now but you're saying to me I'm still in battle mode I could go again right now yeah it was only the car that let let us down so yeah I'm ready to go but yeah this is the this is just enough well Lori H it's official he's not allowed run around the track he does need a car's he might be the champ he might be the champ but come on you need a car there rules R in a strange turn of events Adam LZ will be on the start line and Adam LZ will automatically go top four at the final round of drift Masters so not the way he would have wanted it but it just seems he's like Moses the sea is just parting in front of Adam L today and he's going all the way to the top four semi-finals with two shots at the podium and you know what he's had a lot of bad luck this year at mlz Tire fires and wheel coming off the car and everything so to finish the season his first season in drift Masters the only American to ever make the top four in the championship is about to happen history in the making here in the p narido as a US driver makes it to the semi-finals of drift Masters yeah and all he had to do was initiate and compete his first outside Zone and he's done that but it will take a full half of the circuit as he want to get some more laps under he felt Dave you know it's only been limited seat time here at the Pega in Aron way because of building that circuit into days and just think this time tomorrow da none of this will be here no B Gone they probably we'll still be here having a few celebratory alcohol langes but everything else will might be B I don't have a brain anymore my brain be a lot of I'm going I'm going find the Finish fans that's where I'm going no way me and you are going to jump into the middle of all the Finish round and we'll just see where the night takes us drinks are dangerous you can run a car on a drink that they have I think Lor Heinen's car runs on some of their concoctions yeah but and that's why it blew up I I see you in Finland drinking their drinks and I was like this guy's crazy I know can't believe we got another py run it would have been sweet to battle with Hing in um but we're moving on I think we're going to have James Dean uh which will be great I love driving with James it's been a while um but it'll definitely be a good battle getting some he my tires actually saved one second of time around the circuit too so we're looking good for times where before James had a big Advantage so I was stressing now we're chilling final four baby I don't know if he just did it but there's a sticker on james' rear windshield that's a heart with my name in it let's do this baby James the mean dean in his S15 machine car is dirty but the driving's clean all right time to push I know what I got to do oh from my perspective this guy do a better lead than him he was bouncing and clacking on the wall the whole time I don't care if you're sitting on your seat you're only going to need the edge of it for the next 10 or 15 minutes as we decide this one Adam LZ comes to drift Masters takes the chance builds a car for Europe said he was just here to have some fun well now the fun stops in the business begins because he goes up against the pound-for-pound best in the business the most successful decorated driver in the history of the sport will go up against probably the biggest personality in the sport for a spot in the final at the biggest event in the sport that's a lot of pigs that's a lot of pigs and here we go it's going to be 1 2 three and send him into that first Corner LZ goes he knows he can trust James deer he knows he can go close and let's see what happens there we go James de fires in look at this from Adam LZ though oh little little too deep on that first outside Zone but now re asserts himself looks for the side of the S15 they fire through and Dean clinical as always and Adam El optimizes on that clean lead line oh tags the wall once again LZ disposes to the back end of the E36 he shallows up the angle Dean dials it on as they fire through the touch and go now one transition left as they get themselves in to the second to last outside zone now LZ starts to apply the pressure as Dean tags the wall LZ into the pocket up onto the front wheel across the line you got to give it off for Adam LC he brought everything to that fight we didn't see LZ in that chase position in the top eight with Lori Heinen's engine giving away also congrat rations if you're just joining us to Lori hinen who is your 24 Champion LZ just using the wall to Pro like almost like a a catapult to go back into the battle you know what there's a little bump from there I didn't notice it the first time around yeah bumps the wall and LZ then bumps the wall so that might cancel out the mistake from LZ definitely loses the bootle that time but I've got to say I didn't expect Adam LZ to bring that level of fight it has to though Dave can't come to drift Masters and not bring the fight that much to somebody like James in front of all these people yeah you're not going to step up with James Dean go wouldn't really do all right here be be okay but I've got to say it's it's Dean's Under Pressure now he's got to bring a lot of aggression because LZ brought it and here we are whatever is left in the back of that like Marson said finally get to use my angle grinder take off the back end he has business time he's using tape keep structural tape all I got to do is the same lead I've been doing oh I mean that lead felt pretty perfect the Irishman to make it an all Irish final James E needs to bring the heat here and Adam LZ well he's got to get up and gone into this first Corner Dean chasing in LZ into that first Corner Dean leaves it late but he gets it on time yeah he does and LZ fires into that first outside Zone it's really nice from LZ but opens the door for James de he tags aside of the E36 BMW they fire through LZ nice and close to the wall but Dean replicates it as well now follows him into this outside Zone oh Dean's deeper into the Zone he's onto the door he's onto the wall a little wobbled from both guys as they come firing through they look for the touch and go LZ is on an absolute flyer right now as he lines himself up to the outside Zone gets himself into a little dab of the foot break and both guys clouded by the smoke as they get into that final Zone across the line by don't know great proximity from James de hitting the wall in the chase rad I think is a big part of that as well but I'm still thinking this is closer than you think I think L's lead was nicer there you go how about that there you go let's see if our judges agree cuz they never agree with anything we say so here we go has they transition back this is really nice from D when you look at it on the on the the opposite camera angle really times his transition well but I think LZ does better in this part of the track he doesn't bump into the wall he keeps it smooth he allows Dean into the pocket there it's definitely closer than and you would have looked it on paper yeah I was about to say both of these drivers don't know which way it's going to go but for a spot in the final to face mckever it's James Dean James Dean is going to the final here in Poland and it's going to be Adam LZ versus Peter vinc in the third and fourth Bas battle and we're not complaining about any of that no none of it yeah absolutely Dave those are the kind of battles that we really do want to see and we absolutely love judging those realistically B lead runs fairly comparable minor differences between the two of them but for us it all came back down to that chase driving and overall James just being the slightly cleaner Chase driver and having slightly more proximity with less mistakes overall and it was just enough to take it but a close battle well there you go Adam elz will be happy took James Dean right to the edge but he didn't push him off the edge no I actually thought I had that one I thought they were going to go lead by lead and James had more mistakes uh kind of hitting the wall but uh they went Chase for Chase so uh we W up using but we still got a three four battle so we're going to go out there give it everything we got against Peter where are my gloves watch them penalize me for putting in my gloves while I was doing a burnout I made it intentional as my pit is so far away all right guys let's have some fun I mean to win on his home court we're going to need to make it extra extra spicy and seal the deal so I'm going to be pushing in case you skipped ahead you may have missed my dad joke where I said because I got third place you can get 3% off and you're lucky that I didn't get first place because you get 1% off you missed a chance to laugh at that one me I'm not funny uh but anyway yeah byy team merch 10% off and get every chance to win Corolla really cool special car please enter support drifting thank you love you bye Jin do you think they'll see his wall hit catching my front wheel as his fault and not mine yeah 100% he hit the wall and then it came back and hit me I think it's his fault but either way I'm just going to do a perfect lead so I don't leave anything on the table his car was insanely fast like no chance to keep up even if I cut line like I would have need to drop like to 3 PSI or something insane yeah so we're going to move on to our finals and we're going to have Adam LC take on Peter VC in well this is for a trophy this is for a trophy a pretty coveted trophy for both of these yeah the first could LZ finish the season with a trophy could vek this year in the Supra in front of his home fans finish this year with a trophy it may seem like the consolation prize of third place for both of these guys this is for all the marbles right now we've said it before you just don't know Adam L's got nothing to lose he's not got the pressure Vic's got of all his home fans and family around him so let's see what happens as they come off the line for third step on the podium VX off like a rocket yeah he's not messing around Dave you would have turned that car up to 11 once again now he fires through look at this from LZ LZ is not messing around oh gets a little close has to back out of it as vek now goes for it looks for that inside Zone and he Nails it as he fires through Bumper to Bumper they transition into this outside zone four look at Adam LZ oh contact Adam LZ gets a little punch in the face from the back end of that Supra gets him himself back into it as vek now fires through on that last transition looks for this second to last outside Zone LZ gets himself back into the mix back onto the side of that Supra glues it to the door and across the line I think this one's going to be a little bit you're going to see this on the replay just from initial watching because of course you're talking I'm talking think it's a blur it's a BL it's a blur to you but I was watching this is going to come down did VC hit the wall and back into LZ I'm not sure that happened but on First Look does VC hit the wall and bounce back into right before the entrance to the track ready bounce bounce now that's I'm not sure if LZ was always going to hit him anyway let's see let's see boom boom yeah oh my lead felt good though hit him or you could say that VI bounces back into LZ but my argument on that Dave is you never know that LZ is not going to hit him because we never get to see that part good point yeah anyway we're in the second half here we go LZ in the lead position it is Peter of gek in the chase position here comes a Peter gek absolutely has to do orite special now yeah and we know he's got that chase absolutely dialed in and look at this already he's on the door and this is no missing around for the Polish men right now as they fire through absolutely textbook on that inside Zone they get into this long outside Zone and they tussle once again Wheels clar against each other and they hustle and bustle through the middle of the circuit Adam LZ trying to take it to the polishmanicure hits him hard the Drone the Drone gives you such a different perspective of the and then they transition back again and look at this Vin goes in this this is where he starts throwing punches he just goes hello Adam oh the tire is so close does he hit him the Drone is right there in the mix how the Drone doesn't hit the two of them I don't know there's a couple of punches there as well you can see LZ scraping the wall oh it's tough great driving from both of these guys but it's going to be for third step on the podium will it be Poland or will it be the USA will it be VC will it be LZ Adam LZ has taken third step on the podium what a ridiculous outcome here in podium in Poland in Podium I think I nearly imp you nearly imp Podium so deserved it though Dave we need to find out why though because it was clinical for comes third step on the podium here in Poland in the biggest event of the year but why Dave why we need to know why it was absolutely phenomenal driving po driver guys but realistically even though Peter was excellent in the chase position it all comes down to the first run and if you saw I think you guys called it as well Peter coming into outer zone four comes in a little bit too hot as you can see here ends up making contact with the wall shoots his car back hits Adam in the front wheel massive massive mistake causing Adam to have a huge error behind him we obviously deem Peter to have been at fault for that and therefore a huge Advantage was taken away overall that is the defining moment in this battle and it's what it all comes down to and it's why Adam gets the win there you go just that one moment well I said I was going for a perogi podium do we still have the progis yeah they should be on the I need a picture on the podium with the peris can you have the guys running over yeah they're going to need to come here for team picks too if they do that um I didn't think that was going to happen usually they you can come here Becky last run they they judged Chase for a lead I'm stoked congratulations that's like I honestly his Chase was so good I did not think that I was going to beat him in is it is home event dude I was so stoked when I saw that I was like first ever us American person to get on a Podium a drift bones at the biggest drift event in the world well done dude perogi for everyone well done my friend it's weird and drifting that leads will win but um they they say that having a a smooth consistent lead promotes the best chase you on his lead when he hit the wall it kind of messed me up a little bit and it took away the chance for me to have a good Chase now if he didn't do that he probably would have won just because I didn't have enough car to keep up with him um and then also it feels weird winning when other people uh lost due to Mechanical but on the other hand that's a testate to you guys for giving me a car with literally zero mechanical issues I I mean I guess there's alternator failure but you built the car so you could change it fast even with Freddy's new belt system that was but ear that wi yeah I mean it in the end of the day keeping a car car running is one of the things that wins championships and wins battles and that's one thing that we've worked really hard on with E36 through clutch kickers through FD and this car I feel like is the the Pinnacle of all the things we've learned I'm shaking but I know I I I need to film this stuff before the celebratory perogi Podium good job kurva kurva me insane oh my God I'm stoked D D D D fireworks enjoy what would you like to say to Adam's YouTube Channel USA USA USA USA it's right baby USA on the podium in drift Masters y'all don't even know we were chanting hard but that one really hurt us it too we were the only ones the Polish wer laughing about no they were not happy serious but we were we're stoked we're on the podium all right what a way to end the night third place literally in front of the biggest drifting crowd in the world I'm so appreciative uh we're going to celebrate and we're going to celebrate a lot and maybe I'll iPhone film for rest night but I'm put my camera away I just want to thank you guys I know it's been kind of a rough season but um I came here to be challenge some of the best drivers in the world some of the most challenging tracks some of the grippiest cars in the world and I knew it would push as a driver and I do think a lot of that is uh why I'm doing so well on FD this year and I'm thankful to be a part of it I'm excited for what next year holds and uh I hope you guys have appreciated it I'm very very thankful for all my partners that have made this year possible Tire streets BC Racing link ECU Heatwave Grio garage DW Works Prismatic powders and if I'm forgetting any others I appreciate the heck out of you takes a lot of people to put together literally I I'm just saying this but I think we might be the only team that is running both in Formula Drift and in uh drift Masters and is podium in both also um James Dean and Connor are obviously doing Formula Drift 2 but they have separate teams of separate cars so I'm super proud of the guys it's a lot of work a lot of mental uh stress to keep two cars together and sorted all across the world massive thank you to the spos sub team treating us like family throughout the season love those dudes drift games crew for help facilitate everything and of course Masters for putting together such an amazing event and uh welcoming me as the first American to compete here and I'm super grateful so I'll bring you guys along for what the rest of the night May hold it's probably going to be good so bouny might be it's BL out of focus but I think they get the point are you okay yeah maybe now he's knows like I do I doUSA USA you name it you call him to the mix back onto the side of that Supra glues it to the door and across the Adam LC has taken third step on the podium all right guys we touch down in Poland one of my favorite places on Earth and one thing we do in all the country we've been to we go to a coffee shop first thing and guess what they have baby parois and it just so happened that it was the only word that I recognized in the menu cuz they didn't have an English menu so we got 36 peris to enjoy bit of a tight squeeze in here bro everyone in traffic was yelling I know I saw Owen getting yelled at yeah dude this country's crazy there's no parking spaces so we had Owen waiting in the middle of the road with the runal car this dude was there for like 10 seconds like Who whoo W no we we were watching from inside he was yelling at par anywhere lights on so dude look we got 36 parois that's good I'm so fired up right now I saw that on the menu I got excited I feel they didn't have any cheeseburgers on I'm sorry it's a vibe in Poland roi's on the dash we've been journeying through the Polish Countryside and we are headed over to sposa Motorsport our friends from Poland that's where the E36 is we going to do some work on it hang out with them for a couple days also if you don't remember I drove the S15 last year at the same round in Poland in the state in 800 M your destination will be on the right coolest shops tucked away in the Polish Countryside look at the rigs lined up too that rig is so sick we're back at the spos of compound thank you for having us I'm not pretty oh you're always pretty what do you think about the car I know it's a little different than the S15 that I drove last year s S15 is better yeah yeah maybe we trade no this car only smoke one more time smoke smoke fire or smoke and fire smoke and fire so that's actually one of the first things that Johan's been working on he flew in his suitcase with some vibrant titanium and he's already modified the exhaust to get it to come a little bit farther back because of the situation on e36s it's hard to get ground clearance so it was ending basically in line with the axle now it comes out a little bit farther one of the theories of the fires happening is that the exhaust Flames were catching the tire on fire so moving it back further helps a bit but uh on certain tracks it's definitely going to grab the ground and scrape which also is an ideal but it's whatever and the number two thing which was actually a problem I had last year at this track the run up and everything's so short and you build so much speed going into it that you have to hand breake foot brake get back on the gas and it's hard to fire off with enough RPM if you don't have enough time to get the revs up so I said hey if we have time can we add a uh a Nitro shot and sure enough the boys have scrapped together some parts how's the nitrous inst going Lee yeah it's going good so far all right what do we got going on it's all ready we got the nitrous bottle over here it is clearly securely mounted right in there it's a working progress pending bolts it's Bluetooth bolts right now line comes up through here existing grommet already installed so OEM quality then this I think we're going to go get some self tappers maybe just duct tape it right in there but then we didn't have a separate soleno for Purge so we had this like this uh there's two solenoids inside so we stripped the wires separate and then we did a little taline and looped around did a loop-de-loop and Purge and then this is your high quality zip tie Purge line hey it'll work uh with a you know cap there for fun so the theory is it's going to be a small shot probably like a 50 shot or whatever sprayed right in before the throttle body super easy to control with a link um but the idea is it basically is used as a spool Aid so in the event that you get back on the throttle and let's say revs aren't up high enough if you just come off the handbrake if you're making adjustment in the chase that 50 shot can actually wake the turbo up and give you almost 100 to 150 foot pounds of torque more just because it brings in the power that much sooner so it's kind of more of a safety margin than anything on your ideal lead lap you wouldn't actually be using it but in the event that something weird happens it's nice to have especially with how gripped up these cars are but I'm excited to have this thing in a stadium with 50,000 people it's crazy that's a lot it's like seeing all those people in the stadium it's like wow this many people care about drifting you know can you imagine I I don't know I haven't seen the stadium in person but it's it's going to be a lot just knowing like how many people actually like want to be there Al on how many people are at home watching it puts it in perspective so it's wild but uh anyway cars in good hands um we did decide we're going to leave some of the fire damage cuz why not but uh yeah just a chill day we're here three 4 days before the event um just kind of slowly working through stuff the other side of the world Johan still laying dimes was it a bit of a challenge with that welder yeah a little bit of a challenge it wasn't too bad it took a minute to like really get the groove on it and I was welding a TI with a small cup so we could show it yeah we we'll show the welder what's the main difference of the welders they use here compared to the Miller you use at home layman's terms so a price like this is entry level wether which you know you don't need too much crazy stuff to do anything that we do but simple it works probably 600 $700 versus a $7,000 wether so in layman's terms what he has back home is like a 3.4 l 2JZ E36 and this is like uh a well sorted m52 you know entry level it'll work it'll get the job done but you know if you're trying to go compete in the Pro leagues in drift Masters we need a bigger 3 four ity looks great though yeah I know and it did the work I had it well with this cup for TI which wasn't that great so there's color but I don't care well it looks consistent as long as it holds up for one event we'll be all right so in in Poland what we would say is uh to see that means it's good good yeah that's all that's all I know how to say I can't say it's yeah there you go look at us come on to to you have new radiator for me what new RoR why do why do I need a radiator intercooler inter oh intercooler what's wrong with my intercooler special I make this in my hand what look at this oh my goodness yeah this is beauty only supposed to have Motorsport tippe Chu what does that mean you know temp chugu no uh one more is this how you spell temp huo yeah I would know so Bish is so hard the way it's written is not how you say it so I have like my own spell calling on my phone to remember how to say stuff I would read that as teugu T chuu yeah but it's temp yeah and that means that means friend no no no no no no no where are we going where are we going going to fishing you guys coming fishing or what we're going fishing they don't believe that we're going fishing you're serious I don't think so yeah you see oh we'll see come on not suspension tell me tell me again say this is a crazy car yeah this is crazy car why is it crazy not have power and not have suspension what do you mean no power I don't know what is broken I think maybe pressure in Turbo or I don't know but but start and little right this is good yeah look at this look at this jump one more side jump oh yeah full gas Full Throttle now Full Throttle yeah so the the rear bags are just blown look at this look at this help me help me Adam I'll get out and push it works do you believe that we're going fishing yet Yan oh yeah I thought we were going to the pic River the what that DC River oh perfect yeah I brought a progis to try to fish with perfect like it when you need the fishing you need the size 14 yeah yeah yeah that's your size yeah perfect thank you what are you doing keep going keep going to the tip to the tip is this safe hey Lee start jumping it's only two Ms will it break go to yeah it's only 2 m oh what was that oh oh it's deer deer Sara Sara yes s guess who caught the first fish baby what are we nameing him I don't know you name him you caught him um we'll call him Peter it's pretty cool we could use that one as a bait I I literally couldn't even cast the line so I just dropped it in the water right there and it worked oh perfect dude you want to remove him I guess I can it's my least favorite part about fishing are they hold up from the tail yeah I don't even know if I can do that he's going to slip out of my hands all right so this is officially a piece of broken perogi see if a fish will bite that oh that's so bouny okay that might be it's blurry and a focus but I think they get the point J I saw your whole body airb are you okay yeah I'm I'm bracing maybe now it's SL loock what maybe now it's Lum loock I think it's Lo Eng but I work all for the unlock you know yeah Full Throttle look at this look at this oh spoil alert you guys may already know this from social media or the title of this video but I get third place in the end and to celebrate we're going to do 3% off all drift Masters team gear we got the Hat the windbreaker and the t-shirt that you can see on the screen it may not sound like a great deal but be lucky I didn't get first place cuz then it would have been 1% off oh all jokes aside I'm doing 10% off and uh if you guys want to get your hands on any of this stuff before it's gone forever head over to the lzmfg site and also get entered for a chance to win the gr Corolla and $12,500 cash because this is the last week to enter ultimate daily driver or fun weekend Cruiser you could do both and you can sport our racing too today which is Thursday is just set up day the spos sub team actually brought out their big rig again so we're posted up under here got David's car his spare car than my car pretty cool just finishing up the Nitro setup pretty chill day got some some bad news that it might be raining on Saturday and they're talking about closing the roof but because of that having to actually wet the track to keep smoke down otherwise everyone in the stands gets smoked out so interesting problem to have but still so crazy to me to think that we are drifting inside of this massive stadium look who came to Poland OH hi oh hello hello we the car ran too good so we wanted to make it a little bit more challenging for you so we added nitrous easy but guess what we got bad news uh they're going to be making it a wet track all weekend a wet track they have to close the roof because if it rains it will flood oh and then you can't smoke and then we can't have smoke so they W the track so do we really need the nitrous probably not oh I'm going home then I'm clocking out no it'll be great you'll be able to see better before it was so smoky inside even with the roof open what's damn you're getting good so many languages everybody's practicing right now the Acoustics are crazy pits here are always very chill Vibe there's a lot of drivers at this one we have an ongoing bet if I'm going to fall asleep or not at this one I've fallen asleep at almost every meeting so far gingi is going to be on camera Duty so if I fall asleep you need to capture film okay yes I got tired of kicking you last time yeah this is the the driver's meeting area get the end one then we want to see start to see you come away from that wall it's very rubbed out with h with rubber here but it is a reference point for you that your rear right wheel should be 2 m away from the all right about to go out for practice one thing I am stoked about is because it is wet we're able to add all the chassis into the car we've been taking out all the mechanical grip just cuz the tire over here is so wild but now I get to add back some of it in and I do feel like that is an advantage since in the US we focus way more on chassis setup because we don't have as grippy of a tire I know how to make my car really fast in the rain so um it should be a weapon out there going to go into practice have some fun and uh yeah we'll see what happens I remember how nervous I was the first time pulling in the stadium this is cool this is actually now the second track in drift Masters that I've driven before so know exactly what to expect not a lot of nerves just kind of go out there and basically drive a wet E Town inside of a stadium first Lop out with the wet I'm probably going to hang back a bit just to kind of make sure my gearing everything's good with the car focus on leads there's going to be like 60 drivers qualifying into a top 32 so qualifying is more important than dooring people in battles right now and uh we don't need to worry about smoke so we can hang back a little bit and just focus on our lead o we're hooked up it's crazy how much grip there is in the rain even showing smoke I can't believe how gripped up it is in the rain keep my distance focus on my Lin since we're not running this in the dry there should be a lot of rubber built up in the zones which will help a lot oh not bad gearing is definitely long but feels pretty good other than that so instead of the car wanting to grip up and then going to Too Much angle and looking wobbly I should be able to consistently keep it at a slower wheel speed wheel speed is really important in the rain sometimes I'll drop a gear just to make the car easier to drive and more smooth um but because it's going to be wet the whole time we're able to just basically gear the car for the rain all I need to get deeper in the zones oh track definitely feels a lot less grippy when it's wet like this my car feels very slow it looks like he was all over me so I might need to add more speed w note to self do not handbrake check in the rain it just basically instantly grips up the car so I just going to have to left foot brake like all the time in the chase the handbrake checks do not work feels better definitely some things I could still work on uh Freddy's reviewing the log so we can figure out how wheel speed's looking so let's look at a log of the first lap versus the second lap to see like what average RPM is and then maybe we can work backwards from there to figure out if wheel speed's good looking at the data from the link EC you all right what's average RPM your average is maybe 6,000 5,000 this was the first lap the first lap so longer wheel speed looking here you can kind of see me working the throttle to maintain wheel speed this is your RPM clot and you're hovering maybe 5 to 6,000 okay yeah so you're very like it comes in boost and you lift cuz the car would want to probably over rotate on you yep all right so second lap looks like average RPM's a little bit higher a little bit higher you hit rev limiter a couple times here this was an occasion of maybe 2 seconds on limiter uh but overall looks like it could take a little more wheel speed out of the car as well just to keep the average RPM higher so you're not constantly loading up the motor and waiting on it all the time you know that makes sense a little easier to drive a little bit smoother too yep and then down here this plot is uh where the wage that's pretty much every time nitrous is active so we are using it yeah so you're in the window a good amount as well I think the thing about it is it it helps in the rain and the scenario of trying to be smooth cuz instead of having a clutch kick to wake the car up and like causing a a jutter I can kind of roll into the throttle and it delivers more smoothly yeah how's it feel I mean it's just a 50 shot so it's not going to shock the tires that hard but it definitely bring the the torque in a little bit faster yeah it's just a good good safety window to have all right so right now I've gotten four laps and we'll probably get two more before going into qualifying in a very challenging stacked field now is kind of where the tricky games begin from planning from the sense of hey I want to make the car easier to drive but I actually think I'm better suited to drive the car that I currently have since I've done four Laps on it then make a change and only have two laps it's kind of a double-edged sword but sometimes it's better to just drive around how the car feels and just adjust your line as a driver and try to make the car easier to drive but not be used to it and then go into qualifying so um definitely more of a mental game than it may seem watching these videos um just going back and forth like oh should I change it maybe I shouldn't should I just change how I'm driving so thinking a small change of wheel speed but I'm leaving everything else the same definitely not the ideal car but I think it'll be my best chances for success I did no handbrake going into that last Zone all right going out into qualifying obviously this round not the most practice compared to others it's just difficult for them because of the timing of having the stadium going in the stadium out whatever um more than anything I'm just going to DED the same run I've been doing in practice maybe it up 2% but not take any risks get a solid score on the board then hopefully I'll have some feedback to know how I got to push it for the second run so I can lock in a higher score they don't do The Knockout qualifying like FD um so uh a little bit different strategy versus qualifying an FD that I would have done last year but um get to go out there make some cool noises and do thing before I go into something like this I'll kind of just visualize my run just to kind of remind myself all the things that uh I do well all the things I need to work on try not to overthink it but just thinking enough to kind of get my brain in the mode as if I've just been doing a bunch of laps versus being you know chilling in the pits then going out and having to do a lap a of the game is going out and after a while not driving doing a perfect lap and that's how you qualify well and that's how you win these things so it's definitely been a big focus is trying to go out there and snap my fingers and do cool stuff so cool with such a big audience here time to do the thing just got to drive and do what I've been doing that felt pretty good what do you think yeah I've notice here the the impact of brushing the front clip they like lose their minds over it and the judges love it and there's really no risk if you think about it what's the worst that's going to happen I'm going to push my front bumper in a couple inches next up we've got autum LZ you can see the car has definitely sustained some damage this here plenty of Tire fires there'll be no such Tire fires this weekend as he is drifting in the wet Adam LZ competed here last year did not qualify for the top 32 so he's coming back this year to redeem himself let's see if the 36 can Boogie here in the first qualifying run early initiation there as he goes right to the edge of the circuit left foot breaking to keep the car out there no contact with the wall smooth so far inside clip here very nice very close from mmlc the front just Kevlar flexes as he goes through there and as he takes it right across the circuit into the outside zone is transition quite nice oh and a big flick across this is where it gets Hy but he makes it work very aggressive there from mam LZ a solid run all the way through just leaning on that last zone so a very good run judges will probably have a look at that front inner clip I think because I think if you're going to go that deep in there that is that a kind of a crash should be rewarded you think think so I'm just saying if you're looking for precision he probably went a little too deep on that I think that is precision you Flex the front bumper of the front lip watch this incredible Again full trust from initiation because he trusted it he he threw caution to the wind he knew it going to work look at the line for in a clip and then watch this line it is perfection because all he does boom a little Flex a little Boop on the nose of that bmw3 was a great run and then for me the rest of it was absolute textbook he was deep enough in the zones it wasn't really f in the back end he was just proving to the judges that hey I can get into the zones without touching the wall yeah very solid very controlled and at no point using the walls or you know to to try and keep himself look at it's equal distance away on nearly all the walls it was only here right at the end he touched the wall just to say yeah I can get there good run from Adam LZ let's see the scores from the judges and a very nerve settler as they say yeah yeah and a 90 on the board for Adam LZ a 90 on the board and I tell you what I think a little bit more Precision on that inside clip a little bit closer to the walls just a just a smidge I don't think and you're at 100 there I don't think he's there I think it's just rubbing the bumper on the wall yeah hell yeah good work thank you Ginge I know spotting has been really key at this track hell yeah I mean I I would I mean I don't want to count my chickens but I I feel like that's enough to at least get us into the show and give us margin to go harder on the next one well I'm super stoked 90 is like the best way to start qualifying I uh I pretty much did everything I wanted to do watch back the run if I was going to kick myself over anything it just be that zone and infield I was like halfway into so if I had that full it probably would have been an extra two points and it probably would have maybe even held first but I predict that a handful of people will probably score higher than a 90 now comes a strategy second run do I go balls to the wall and try to go for 100 or do I try to just get two or three points better which may be the smarter move to get a good qualifying position and not risk for lack of better go in for broke where you know you go too hard and then you end up defaulting your first score when let's just say everyone else gets above 90 or there's a bunch of tiebreakers on 90 if the second score weighs in I'd be better suited just to put like a solid score on the board so I'll probably do that just push like maybe 5% deeper in all the zones try to fix that Center Zone and then everything else I'm super happy with so definitely takes a lot of the pressure off it's wild eight laps competing in a stadium with tens of thousands of people uh varying wet conditions every lap definitely probably one of the biggest challenges of drifting even though it's a simple track so it feels good to have done it and come out the other side oh definitely a sloppier run the track was way more patchy in the middle of the zone that I'm driving through right now it's like almost dry and it causes you to kind of drive out of the zone and then correct is on the line Adam elz currently in 10th position with a 90 from his first run looks really focused this weekend not as many you know high fives and smiles he said he really wants to do what he did better than last year he wants to qualify for the show and Adam LZ comes off the line in that E36 BMW throwing it wide and wild big angle on the initiation gets there late to the outer zone though not quite as close to the wall as he was on his first run as he comes through that inner Zone that transitions back this is where he's been excellent and he does the same thing again takes the headlight out the car looking they're not real headlights as he goes wide a little wobble there from LZ as he goes out to that outer zone keep being in the outer zone but not Perfection so far as he goes across that outer last This Is Where It's Tricky you got to control you see the damage St to the front of the car from that inner Wall clip as he comes on the front breake and levels the throttle into that last Zone using the left fo break to massage the car out and again another solid run from LZ but I'm not sure it had as much spice as the first unfortunately here look boom you see that contact and doesn't affect him though you can see he's still laser focused thinking about the rest of the Run rather than that small mistake another driver growing into this champion ship taking that time to really find his feet but now I think he's in the zone I think he's in the right place for drift Masters and I think he feels comfortable here absolutely and he has the potential to top qualifying win an event it's just difficult when as he said himself everything is new you know he said I said the one event I was looking forward to was Poland and then he said and then I came here and it was wet so he was like I've learned absolutely nothing from last year so a 90 on the board still leaves him in 10th position so uh a strong showing I don't remember I said this before but guys the feeling of pulling into that stadium with the pack stands like as someone who started drifting at a track the Orlando Speed World skid pad with like six people the the craziness of having tens of thousands of people it is surreal so the fact that I'm even able to complete a lap when I used to get like super jittery before things like this sick it's definitely shown a testament to how far I've taken the mental game of competition I feel like that's been one of my biggest strengths this year but it's cool you know I I definitely uh I pushed a little bit too hard but also the track itions were a little bit different couple more dry patches so some of the tactics that worked in the earlier battles caused the car to start to hook up so I had to make some corrections nonetheless the 90 should hold probably in the top 16 there's a lot of really good drivers out here so we'll have a tough first battle but at least we made it in the show we didn't do that last year so uh yeah we'll go watch they got a 10th anniversary thing going on and then see where the night takes us imagine how cool it would be to be driving on the track right now all the lights and everything all right it's comp day now and the exciting part of this for me is that practice I get to line up with the top 32 drivers because my standings to the series isn't great when I am in a group practice which is what I've been in the whole season uh a lot of the times I get paired up with the wild cards which some of the times aren't the uh the best drivers of the field so a lot of times in practice since we get so few laps I got to play it safe because I don't want to wad the car up um so I don't get great Chase practice but now going into competition day practice I can push pretty hard and it's really important that I do that way I can figure out if there's any mistakes or things you got to work on um in the chase position so it doesn't happen in the battle oh I d has been taking times and the guy that I'm going up against consistently has been about a second fast with me on the track which is um I would say a notable Gap from the sense of being a challenge to make that up by cutting line or whatever um I feel that in the chase I'm having to do a lot of like pedal work to keep the wheel speed um where the car doesn't over angle to kind of keep the car shallow so I have speed Freddy pulling up some logs which is kind of verifying what I'm feeling you can see consistently the RPM is what around like 5,000 and's low 4,400 4500 and you see me stabbing it to get up and then lifting and then stabbing it and then lifting and stabbing it lifting I want to just be more consistent on the throttle which will be faster than going that way I'm just doing that to kind of maintain the angle so um we did a wheel speed change but it a little bit too much so what' you do Freddy we bumped the limiter from 82 to 8,400 so that way at least if I need it I have a couple extra mph up top so I can kind of get the best of both worlds yep yep and then you're using a pound of nitrous per lap right now like that's how much we're spraying because the is a little long so this will reduce ma consumption and make the engine a little more responsive too got to give a shout out to Josiah for Lending us this big boy bottle thing's massive yeah Adam LZ to take on yoim Anderson two drivers never seen competition against each other this year to date n LZ looking to be the first US driver to go into the top 16 in a big Stadium event in Europe he missed out on qualifying last year when he came as a wild card he now had a really good qualifying result yesterday and can he submit that with a win in the E36 which as you can see is been pretty much on fire not such a problem here inside the stadium Adam LZ said we didn't even have to fix the problem there's that much water on the car we're not setting on fire anymore yander said new car this year has struggled a little bit for former times but he will love the challenge here of taking down LZ in front of the Polish fans here we go LZ in the lead big entry from LZ yok manison firing in the chase yeah big flick to initiation from Adam LZ but it works and it pays off and look at that right into that outside zone right up onto the wall but look at this from Anderson Anderson can trust Adam L's line and takes a brave swing through now Anderson on the inside he's going to have to dive up to get that proximity back and he does as Adam LZ makes his way through that long outside Zone Yi Manon right in there though on the pocket as they come through the center of circuit looks to set himself up for that second to last outside time Yoki man into a weird line there had to wait for Adam L to set himself up now LZ into the final outside Zone Anderson flicks it to angle across the line yeah I mean business as usual for both drivers there I mean it was a good lead run there was a couple of moments for LZ it looks to me the car is very hooked up every time you can see the back end just shift a little bit in the zones there was anything spectacular in the leader of the chase but it was smooth it was consistent it got all the zones Anderson doing a couple of uh good moments throughout there you can see all the fans like they're going by me look at this the nod of approval the nod of approval from that guy that's that's all you need Anderson could impress here with a really good lead cuz that L's lead Isa in the mid 880s it could be beaten so let's see what happens we go PR here down they come look at this El go that straight line approach big flick to angle long hand break Drago for Anderson but now he's into the outside turns just boes with the rear bumper that opens the door for Adam M as he comes through he's going to take that bumper off and he does spits it across the circuit as they look for outside zone four Anderson's on some Pace right now he's moving through the circuit very fast little tag on the wall upsets the line if as a slightly from Yim Anderson and Adam LZ deals with it waits for that transition a scrappy move through the middle of the circuit for the American as now the Swedish driver Yoki Merson looks for that final outside Zone and LZ jumps up onto the front wheel oh a little bit of proximity just towards the end and again drivers do that one because it's the safest part to do it cuz we're all finishing the run but also they do it because it's an exclamation point for the Judes that you know you were there there was some moments of Brilliance and there was some errors there on both sides we'll have a look at it in the replay but from where I'm sitting uh LZ gets some good proximity at times Anderson doing some good stuff at times but aror is creeping in this is first of all big hit with the wall from Anderson but he gets away with it just flexes it not as bad as it looks on the as it initially looked when I looked back on the Drone it was pretty solid there big angle from M there has the hand break a second time to three times he hand breaks down to the wall so the judges will be watching for that as LZ creeps up onto the door right at the end and look at this how close this is when you're in the car must be pretty hectic I mean he can put his hand out there and take the filler cap off Anderson's car if you wanted to yeah most of these cars now D absolute TS after a really hectic gear run two boys near got run over by the tractor there that would have been nobody wins that let's see who goes through to the top 16 Adam LZ gets the win and goes through to the top 16 he'll be happy with that when Yim Anderson bares out you can see yim's just not happy maybe just the Run didn't go as he wanted Adam L does get the win and go through to the top 16 he makes the parade that's what he said he wanted to do this weekend Adam that was an interesting battle it came down to a few mistakes on either side what is it like out there for a driver right now I mean I got to say it's an honor just to be here with the most insane crowd in drifting um to make it in the competition was awesome so to get to win my first battle like I'm still I'm in shock well congratulations you're into the top 16 enjoy it thank you thank you guys I'm really happy I think we made the the right call with getting the car set up my lead felt great uh my Chase was pretty much perfect I knew that he was going to roll me a little bit in the beginning closed that Gap soon and I had one small mistake in the infield in the chase where I grabbed the handbrake where I probably shouldn't have it's like a double-edged sword because when I don't do it the car might grip up when I do it it could establish a gap if that other guys really fast but uh wound up getting the win this thing sounds spicy as at 8500 RPM definitely not ideal to rev a three4 this high but um I think that gear change made it a lot easier to drive and the car seemed really happy and I was able to do what I needed to it and um yeah I'm stok said that um on the initiation Jack had an independent mistake from Peter and that was why their decision swayed over to Peter overall yeah and just while we were listening to you Kevin we're noticing some problems on track for Tor aric Cava car shut down in the burnout box and it looks like there's an issue with getting that car started back up again he's due to head-to-head with Adam LZ and he cannot go back into the pits to fix it he's got to fix it here in 2 minutes 1 minute 20 to get that car started so it's an electrical issue with the car so he's back out of the car again it's an electrical issue with kava's car he's getting very close to the yeah 33 seconds 30 seconds I'm not sure he's going to make this W the dash Illuminating there and nothing oh no and it's he he knows he's not going to be out to do it that is absolutely har breaking for T AR Cava and we're watching it happen right in front of our eyes he's out of competition in the burnout box with an electrical failure and I've got to say that is just the worst way to leave the competition and you know I was just noticing Adam LZ wasn't pulling to the line he was trying to stay in the burnout box to give Cava more time but the marshals forced LZ to go to the start line so even the other driver he's against tried to give him more time that's amazing sportsmanship it is Dave and the thing is they get a certain amount of time to warm the tires on the car and then they are forced to go to the start line Adam LZ was holding back and holding back and you know what Adam LZ would would really want to do battle with cavier because it's tan cavier he's he's not nobody Dave he's one of the best drivers from Norway and can you tell us what's happened it seems like something Electrical uh has gone bad it seems like the main power supply when I kept holding it I could probably start the car but I can't drive like that so yeah yeah it's oh I felt so good today and I felt so good in Hungary and I was ready to take on this battle with Adam who's had a like he's become so good and I wanted to have a good battle and yeah that's it thank you Poland not what we want to see oh man absolute heartbreak the USA so technically he has had some issues all year with the other ones so he's built three 36s almost in a year but he' be happy in Poland to get himself into the top eight and I know he will take the opportunity just to do a quick run of the track make sure the car is a okay put a wave on for the fans and and he's happy to go through but not the wave he going through no exactly that Dave So Adam oh close to the wall there nearly uh put himself in a little danger but nevertheless he's going to finish up this run he will take a full pass of the circuit every single run these guys can get they will get limited practice for these guys over the last two days and Adam LZ cross the line and secure the de and remove the bullet off the car the the car F to do it do it in sty holds on for a 360 that cable tie is just like I'm trying I'm really trying good news is we made it into the top eight bad news is it definitely wasn't the way I'd like to win he had an electrical issue and then after my lap uh it looks like my alternator went out because the voltage dropped below 12 volts let the guys know they rushed back to the pits got an alternator teed up they're changing it right now but there's only four battles in between us so it's going to be pretty tight but I believe they'll make it happen we'll be able to go out there but uh could we run the car without an alternator yes but it would create an issue probably after two runs because we start draining the battery too much but the good news is the way that this car is tuned and the parameters that are used in the link it will actually account for any voltage drop and it will add more injector Duty uh if voltages and other things are affecting how things fire and work so very cool and uh I've had lots of issues where I've lost alternators and never skipped to beat for the engine so thankful for that thankful for the dudes getting it back together right now now and uh yeah let's take it home I want a perogi Podium that's what I'm going for so we're going to go down to Becky Becky he's not continuing was it the worst was it what we feared the engine let go thankfully Dave the engine hasn't let go but we are down here with low right now and let me tell you the weather is absolutely biblical so thank goodness we had that roof close and those wet conditions inside the track but it's not good as we see you not pulling to the line with Adam LZ right now yeah I would say it's terminal because uh the oil went like 280 fit and uh there was oil coming out of the engine so yeah maybe a hole somewhere we don't know maybe a little bit worse than we thought then yeah yeah about uh judging from the knocking it's it's bad yeah okay well obviously you know you would have loved to appul to the line and just asked you right then has this all sunk in for you right now but you're saying to me I'm still in battle mode I could go again right now yeah it was only the car that let let us down so yeah I'm ready to go but yeah this is the this is just enough well Lori H it's official he's not allowed run around the track he does need a car's he might be the champ he might be the champ but come on you need a car there rules R in a strange turn of events Adam LZ will be on the start line and Adam LZ will automatically go top four at the final round of drift Masters so not the way he would have wanted it but it just seems he's like Moses the sea is just parting in front of Adam L today and he's going all the way to the top four semi-finals with two shots at the podium and you know what he's had a lot of bad luck this year at mlz Tire fires and wheel coming off the car and everything so to finish the season his first season in drift Masters the only American to ever make the top four in the championship is about to happen history in the making here in the p narido as a US driver makes it to the semi-finals of drift Masters yeah and all he had to do was initiate and compete his first outside Zone and he's done that but it will take a full half of the circuit as he want to get some more laps under he felt Dave you know it's only been limited seat time here at the Pega in Aron way because of building that circuit into days and just think this time tomorrow da none of this will be here no B Gone they probably we'll still be here having a few celebratory alcohol langes but everything else will might be B I don't have a brain anymore my brain be a lot of I'm going I'm going find the Finish fans that's where I'm going no way me and you are going to jump into the middle of all the Finish round and we'll just see where the night takes us drinks are dangerous you can run a car on a drink that they have I think Lor Heinen's car runs on some of their concoctions yeah but and that's why it blew up I I see you in Finland drinking their drinks and I was like this guy's crazy I know can't believe we got another py run it would have been sweet to battle with Hing in um but we're moving on I think we're going to have James Dean uh which will be great I love driving with James it's been a while um but it'll definitely be a good battle getting some he my tires actually saved one second of time around the circuit too so we're looking good for times where before James had a big Advantage so I was stressing now we're chilling final four baby I don't know if he just did it but there's a sticker on james' rear windshield that's a heart with my name in it let's do this baby James the mean dean in his S15 machine car is dirty but the driving's clean all right time to push I know what I got to do oh from my perspective this guy do a better lead than him he was bouncing and clacking on the wall the whole time I don't care if you're sitting on your seat you're only going to need the edge of it for the next 10 or 15 minutes as we decide this one Adam LZ comes to drift Masters takes the chance builds a car for Europe said he was just here to have some fun well now the fun stops in the business begins because he goes up against the pound-for-pound best in the business the most successful decorated driver in the history of the sport will go up against probably the biggest personality in the sport for a spot in the final at the biggest event in the sport that's a lot of pigs that's a lot of pigs and here we go it's going to be 1 2 three and send him into that first Corner LZ goes he knows he can trust James deer he knows he can go close and let's see what happens there we go James de fires in look at this from Adam LZ though oh little little too deep on that first outside Zone but now re asserts himself looks for the side of the S15 they fire through and Dean clinical as always and Adam El optimizes on that clean lead line oh tags the wall once again LZ disposes to the back end of the E36 he shallows up the angle Dean dials it on as they fire through the touch and go now one transition left as they get themselves in to the second to last outside zone now LZ starts to apply the pressure as Dean tags the wall LZ into the pocket up onto the front wheel across the line you got to give it off for Adam LC he brought everything to that fight we didn't see LZ in that chase position in the top eight with Lori Heinen's engine giving away also congrat rations if you're just joining us to Lori hinen who is your 24 Champion LZ just using the wall to Pro like almost like a a catapult to go back into the battle you know what there's a little bump from there I didn't notice it the first time around yeah bumps the wall and LZ then bumps the wall so that might cancel out the mistake from LZ definitely loses the bootle that time but I've got to say I didn't expect Adam LZ to bring that level of fight it has to though Dave can't come to drift Masters and not bring the fight that much to somebody like James in front of all these people yeah you're not going to step up with James Dean go wouldn't really do all right here be be okay but I've got to say it's it's Dean's Under Pressure now he's got to bring a lot of aggression because LZ brought it and here we are whatever is left in the back of that like Marson said finally get to use my angle grinder take off the back end he has business time he's using tape keep structural tape all I got to do is the same lead I've been doing oh I mean that lead felt pretty perfect the Irishman to make it an all Irish final James E needs to bring the heat here and Adam LZ well he's got to get up and gone into this first Corner Dean chasing in LZ into that first Corner Dean leaves it late but he gets it on time yeah he does and LZ fires into that first outside Zone it's really nice from LZ but opens the door for James de he tags aside of the E36 BMW they fire through LZ nice and close to the wall but Dean replicates it as well now follows him into this outside Zone oh Dean's deeper into the Zone he's onto the door he's onto the wall a little wobbled from both guys as they come firing through they look for the touch and go LZ is on an absolute flyer right now as he lines himself up to the outside Zone gets himself into a little dab of the foot break and both guys clouded by the smoke as they get into that final Zone across the line by don't know great proximity from James de hitting the wall in the chase rad I think is a big part of that as well but I'm still thinking this is closer than you think I think L's lead was nicer there you go how about that there you go let's see if our judges agree cuz they never agree with anything we say so here we go has they transition back this is really nice from D when you look at it on the on the the opposite camera angle really times his transition well but I think LZ does better in this part of the track he doesn't bump into the wall he keeps it smooth he allows Dean into the pocket there it's definitely closer than and you would have looked it on paper yeah I was about to say both of these drivers don't know which way it's going to go but for a spot in the final to face mckever it's James Dean James Dean is going to the final here in Poland and it's going to be Adam LZ versus Peter vinc in the third and fourth Bas battle and we're not complaining about any of that no none of it yeah absolutely Dave those are the kind of battles that we really do want to see and we absolutely love judging those realistically B lead runs fairly comparable minor differences between the two of them but for us it all came back down to that chase driving and overall James just being the slightly cleaner Chase driver and having slightly more proximity with less mistakes overall and it was just enough to take it but a close battle well there you go Adam elz will be happy took James Dean right to the edge but he didn't push him off the edge no I actually thought I had that one I thought they were going to go lead by lead and James had more mistakes uh kind of hitting the wall but uh they went Chase for Chase so uh we W up using but we still got a three four battle so we're going to go out there give it everything we got against Peter where are my gloves watch them penalize me for putting in my gloves while I was doing a burnout I made it intentional as my pit is so far away all right guys let's have some fun I mean to win on his home court we're going to need to make it extra extra spicy and seal the deal so I'm going to be pushing in case you skipped ahead you may have missed my dad joke where I said because I got third place you can get 3% off and you're lucky that I didn't get first place because you get 1% off you missed a chance to laugh at that one me I'm not funny uh but anyway yeah byy team merch 10% off and get every chance to win Corolla really cool special car please enter support drifting thank you love you bye Jin do you think they'll see his wall hit catching my front wheel as his fault and not mine yeah 100% he hit the wall and then it came back and hit me I think it's his fault but either way I'm just going to do a perfect lead so I don't leave anything on the table his car was insanely fast like no chance to keep up even if I cut line like I would have need to drop like to 3 PSI or something insane yeah so we're going to move on to our finals and we're going to have Adam LC take on Peter VC in well this is for a trophy this is for a trophy a pretty coveted trophy for both of these yeah the first could LZ finish the season with a trophy could vek this year in the Supra in front of his home fans finish this year with a trophy it may seem like the consolation prize of third place for both of these guys this is for all the marbles right now we've said it before you just don't know Adam L's got nothing to lose he's not got the pressure Vic's got of all his home fans and family around him so let's see what happens as they come off the line for third step on the podium VX off like a rocket yeah he's not messing around Dave you would have turned that car up to 11 once again now he fires through look at this from LZ LZ is not messing around oh gets a little close has to back out of it as vek now goes for it looks for that inside Zone and he Nails it as he fires through Bumper to Bumper they transition into this outside zone four look at Adam LZ oh contact Adam LZ gets a little punch in the face from the back end of that Supra gets him himself back into it as vek now fires through on that last transition looks for this second to last outside Zone LZ gets himself back into the mix back onto the side of that Supra glues it to the door and across the line I think this one's going to be a little bit you're going to see this on the replay just from initial watching because of course you're talking I'm talking think it's a blur it's a BL it's a blur to you but I was watching this is going to come down did VC hit the wall and back into LZ I'm not sure that happened but on First Look does VC hit the wall and bounce back into right before the entrance to the track ready bounce bounce now that's I'm not sure if LZ was always going to hit him anyway let's see let's see boom boom yeah oh my lead felt good though hit him or you could say that VI bounces back into LZ but my argument on that Dave is you never know that LZ is not going to hit him because we never get to see that part good point yeah anyway we're in the second half here we go LZ in the lead position it is Peter of gek in the chase position here comes a Peter gek absolutely has to do orite special now yeah and we know he's got that chase absolutely dialed in and look at this already he's on the door and this is no missing around for the Polish men right now as they fire through absolutely textbook on that inside Zone they get into this long outside Zone and they tussle once again Wheels clar against each other and they hustle and bustle through the middle of the circuit Adam LZ trying to take it to the polishmanicure hits him hard the Drone the Drone gives you such a different perspective of the and then they transition back again and look at this Vin goes in this this is where he starts throwing punches he just goes hello Adam oh the tire is so close does he hit him the Drone is right there in the mix how the Drone doesn't hit the two of them I don't know there's a couple of punches there as well you can see LZ scraping the wall oh it's tough great driving from both of these guys but it's going to be for third step on the podium will it be Poland or will it be the USA will it be VC will it be LZ Adam LZ has taken third step on the podium what a ridiculous outcome here in podium in Poland in Podium I think I nearly imp you nearly imp Podium so deserved it though Dave we need to find out why though because it was clinical for comes third step on the podium here in Poland in the biggest event of the year but why Dave why we need to know why it was absolutely phenomenal driving po driver guys but realistically even though Peter was excellent in the chase position it all comes down to the first run and if you saw I think you guys called it as well Peter coming into outer zone four comes in a little bit too hot as you can see here ends up making contact with the wall shoots his car back hits Adam in the front wheel massive massive mistake causing Adam to have a huge error behind him we obviously deem Peter to have been at fault for that and therefore a huge Advantage was taken away overall that is the defining moment in this battle and it's what it all comes down to and it's why Adam gets the win there you go just that one moment well I said I was going for a perogi podium do we still have the progis yeah they should be on the I need a picture on the podium with the peris can you have the guys running over yeah they're going to need to come here for team picks too if they do that um I didn't think that was going to happen usually they you can come here Becky last run they they judged Chase for a lead I'm stoked congratulations that's like I honestly his Chase was so good I did not think that I was going to beat him in is it is home event dude I was so stoked when I saw that I was like first ever us American person to get on a Podium a drift bones at the biggest drift event in the world well done dude perogi for everyone well done my friend it's weird and drifting that leads will win but um they they say that having a a smooth consistent lead promotes the best chase you on his lead when he hit the wall it kind of messed me up a little bit and it took away the chance for me to have a good Chase now if he didn't do that he probably would have won just because I didn't have enough car to keep up with him um and then also it feels weird winning when other people uh lost due to Mechanical but on the other hand that's a testate to you guys for giving me a car with literally zero mechanical issues I I mean I guess there's alternator failure but you built the car so you could change it fast even with Freddy's new belt system that was but ear that wi yeah I mean it in the end of the day keeping a car car running is one of the things that wins championships and wins battles and that's one thing that we've worked really hard on with E36 through clutch kickers through FD and this car I feel like is the the Pinnacle of all the things we've learned I'm shaking but I know I I I need to film this stuff before the celebratory perogi Podium good job kurva kurva me insane oh my God I'm stoked D D D D fireworks enjoy what would you like to say to Adam's YouTube Channel USA USA USA USA it's right baby USA on the podium in drift Masters y'all don't even know we were chanting hard but that one really hurt us it too we were the only ones the Polish wer laughing about no they were not happy serious but we were we're stoked we're on the podium all right what a way to end the night third place literally in front of the biggest drifting crowd in the world I'm so appreciative uh we're going to celebrate and we're going to celebrate a lot and maybe I'll iPhone film for rest night but I'm put my camera away I just want to thank you guys I know it's been kind of a rough season but um I came here to be challenge some of the best drivers in the world some of the most challenging tracks some of the grippiest cars in the world and I knew it would push as a driver and I do think a lot of that is uh why I'm doing so well on FD this year and I'm thankful to be a part of it I'm excited for what next year holds and uh I hope you guys have appreciated it I'm very very thankful for all my partners that have made this year possible Tire streets BC Racing link ECU Heatwave Grio garage DW Works Prismatic powders and if I'm forgetting any others I appreciate the heck out of you takes a lot of people to put together literally I I'm just saying this but I think we might be the only team that is running both in Formula Drift and in uh drift Masters and is podium in both also um James Dean and Connor are obviously doing Formula Drift 2 but they have separate teams of separate cars so I'm super proud of the guys it's a lot of work a lot of mental uh stress to keep two cars together and sorted all across the world massive thank you to the spos sub team treating us like family throughout the season love those dudes drift games crew for help facilitate everything and of course Masters for putting together such an amazing event and uh welcoming me as the first American to compete here and I'm super grateful so I'll bring you guys along for what the rest of the night May hold it's probably going to be good so bouny might be it's BL out of focus but I think they get the point are you okay yeah maybe now he's knows like I do I do\n"
