**A Close Look at the Era Bluetooth Headset**
I recently had the opportunity to get my hands on the Era Bluetooth headset, and I must say, it's one of the nicest headsets I've ever used. The design is really basic, with just a little grate on top, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The shape of the headset is really nice, and it's comfortable to wear. There aren't many features on this headset, but what it does have is reliable.
One of the cool things about this headset is its motion controls. If you shake it four times, it will put it into discovery mode, allowing you to pair it with your smartphone or other device. This feature is really handy when you're trying to figure out why your phone won't connect to a Bluetooth headset. Simply shake the headset, and it should start pairing up correctly. The headset also has a tap-to-answer feature, which allows you to answer calls without having to touch a screen. It's a nice touch, but unfortunately, this feature doesn't always work as advertised. Sometimes, shaking the headset will put it into discovery mode instead of answering a call.
I'm really impressed with the Era Bluetooth headset's audio quality. The sound is clear and crisp, and I've never had any issues with noise interference. This is one of the most important features to me when it comes to headsets, and I'm glad to say that this one delivers. Plus, it's one of the few Bluetooth headsets I've used that doesn't make you look like a total nerd. It's designed to be worn discreetly, without drawing attention to itself.
One feature that really stood out to me was the battery life indicator. In older Bluetooth headsets, you often had to press a button and wait for a light to blink to check the battery level. This Era headset has built-in battery meter on your iPhone, which shows exactly how much charge is left in the headset. It's a small feature, but it's incredibly useful. You can easily see if the headset needs charging, without having to dig out the manual or search for the charging cable.
In terms of overall value, I think this headset is worth every penny of its $120 price tag. While it may be one of the more expensive headsets on the market, it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into designing and building this product. The audio quality is top-notch, and the features are well-implemented and reliable.
If you're in the market for a new Bluetooth headset, I highly recommend checking out the Era. It may not be the cheapest option on the market, but it's definitely worth considering if you want the best possible sound quality and a hassle-free listening experience.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everyone err finalizer here with Colton matcom in this episode of Kult of mac TV i'm gonna be reviewing a bluetooth headset the jawbone era javelins newest bestest coolest little headset this thing is feature packed lots of stuff comes in the box too I've been using it for a few weeks now with my iPhone and before I talk about things I liked and some of the things I found that I didn't really like why don't we jump into a quick unboxing okay let's get this guy open I really kind of like the packaging it's so uh it's so elegant looking huh yes just like this thing just slides out oh that's cool just slides out and then you've got all of your stuff just kind of like lined up right in there that's actually really neat packaging it looks like it comes with all sorts of stuff some different earbud options and then a little charger right here there's a little ear hooks gosh it seems like oh my gosh it's like a art piece at a museum I gotta say guys I opened up a lot of packages the packaging on this thing is really really really neat never had so much problems getting something open so oh cool there's a little tab here just pull it open nice so we got in here we got a little user guide what is this thing oh cool a little charger there's no way once you get this packaging open you're ever gonna get this stuff back in here primo wow what's this oh it's a case okay everything's labeled so you get a little oh nice so you get like a little little it's a little change purse for your for your headset isn't that cute that's it that's all that's in there and then you get all your earpiece options and of course the headset itself that is really beautiful packaging kudos kudos job ok so there's so many things that I could talk about with this headset but the first thing I'm going to start with is the most important that is audio quality the audio quality on this jaw bone is outstanding everyone I talked to you when I asked them told me the audio sounded rich it sounded good many times it sounded the actual iPhone itself I use this thing in all sorts of different conditions I was walking under freeway overpasses I was using it in the wind and I never had a problem everyone could always say that they could hear me well in fact as far as filtering out noise Javelin says they have a built-in little technology called noise assassin 3.0 it seems to be doing a great job at least it did for me this is one of the best sounding headsets I've ever used and that is for people hearing me as far as the audio that you hear that's a little bit of a different story they say this thing has HD audio built-in now I find that when you're using it to listen to like podcasts or music on your iPhone it actually does sound quite good but when I was talking to people in telephone conversations I would notice I would hear static I would hear little noises like electrical noises I don't know if it was the headset um my theory actually is that because this thing sounds so good it will actually make other people who don't sound as good when they're talking to you you'll actually hear those audio imperfections that may be on a lower quality speaker you may not hear that's my theory because it sounds great when you're listening to music I really love the way this era is designed it's really beautiful it's really basic and let me see if I can bring it in here and give you kind of a good look of its design there we go it's just really basic like a little grate on top it's a really nice size I really like the shape a lot not a whole lot going on on this headset and those switches anywhere there's one on and off switch right here this little nubbin doesn't do anything it just sits against your cheek bone and then you have a button in the back right there that you could use to like answer and hang up calls and stuff and it has some other features too and that's pretty much it that's all it does and it looks nice when you hang it in your ear it goes and like really nice and smooth and in if you're gonna look like a nerd walking around with a headset when you're talking this is actually a pretty cool one I think it looks a lot better than a lot of the other headsets that I've used now one of the things I thought was cool about this headset that I haven't seen any other headsets or motion controls if you shake this thing four times it will put it into discovery mode so you can pair it with your smartphone or whatever when you have um when is the when the phone is ringing if you shake this thing twice it actually picks up the phone so so your call is activated I should say it also has this thing called tap tap built in and that basically means when your phone is ringing yours you can tap this thing twice it will pick up the call and then you can tap it twice again and it should hang up to be honest it's a really cool sounding technology but I found that it doesn't actually work all the time many times when I tap this to hang up it just won't hang up that probably happened 50 or 60 percent of the time if you shake this thing to answer a call sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't sometimes it thinks you're trying to put this into discovery mode so it would just start blinking it won't answer the call at all they're really cool technologies I'd like to see them work more often than they actually do because surprisingly they're incredibly useful when they do work they just don't work all the time now one of the things I love about this headset is the fact that you can listen to music or any any audio from your iPod on it that's really cool it's a technology that's coming out and a lot of newer headsets and it's super handy you know you just put this thing in you can listen to music listen to a podcast and you still have your other ear free once you get used to this feature it's kind of hard to like want to use headphones unless you're listening to music where you actually want to hear everything really super handy now if you use the Bluetooth headset in the past you've known that it's kind of weird checking the battery life you might have to press a button on the actual headset and depending on how many times a light blinks it will show you how much battery life is left well built into the era is a battery meter that works on your iPhone now this isn't exclusive to the era but it is coming out in some of the newer nicer headsets and you can see that there's a battery meter right there and it shows the Bluetooth icon and then it shows a little bar showing how much battery life is left on your headset this feature is extremely useful so you always know whether or not you need to charge your headset because you're not going to charge it all the time but you definitely don't want to have it run out of battery so it's right there in your iPhone I never - anytime you need to see it so what's the bottom line well this is definitely where the nicest headsets I have ever used it's got a ton of features it comes with a lot of great accessories it's also one of the most expense have had sex I've ever used these things are available online for about a hundred and twenty dollars that may or may not be worth it to you only you can decide if you have the money sure why not go for the best the audio quality on this is the most important feature to me and that's what I love most about it people can always hear me great you know it sounds good and no matter where I am it's gonna eliminate noise and they're gonna be able to hear what I'm saying and so that's primarily why I use it that and it's one of the only booth Bluetooth headsets that I have used that doesn't make you look like a total nerd that's important to me so thanks for watching Colton
