**Preparing for the Jailbreak Process**
Before we begin the jailbreak process, it's essential to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken. You can see I can convert it to 6.5.0 which in turn will get me an unlock before we begin make sure you have all of your data backed up in iTunes because we are restoring which means all of your data will be deleted so make sure you have all of it backed up okay so I am on a Verizon iPhone 4 but I will be doing the Jailbreak on my 3GS and just to show you I do have Cydia and I am on 4.2.8 so this jailbreak is definitely possible.
**Choosing the Correct Firmware**
To begin the process, we need to select the correct firmware for our device. In this case, I'm using a Verizon iPhone 4 with 4.2.8, but I'll be doing the jailbreak on my 3GS running 4.3.3. Make sure you have your iPhone plugged in and on your desktop, as we need two essential tools: Snow version 2.7.1, which has been updated recently to fix a major bug, and either the official 4.3.3 firmware or the 4.2.8 firmware for the Verizon iPhone 4.
**Navigating the Jailbreak Process**
Head over to iTunes and open up SnowBreeze by right-clicking on it and running as administrator. Close any credits that may appear, and then click "Next". Here, we need to browse for our firmware, depending on which device we have in front of us. Since I'm using a 3GS, I select the 4.3.3 firmware. The jailbreak process asks if we have a new or old boot ROM, so it can determine if we can customize our boot logos or not. If you're unsure, ask SnowBreeze to detect it for you.
**Setting Up Activation Options**
Next, we need to select activation options. If you're using a non-legit carrier like T-Mobile, you may want to unlock your iPhone by selecting the "Activate iPhone" option. However, if you're on AT&T, make sure this option is unchecked, as it will disable your service. Additionally, if you want to use custom boot logos, select that option as well.
**Installing the Baseband**
After setting up our activation options, we need to install the 6.15 baseband. If you have these basebands and wish to unlock your iPhone, now is the time to do so. However, in this case, I won't be using them, so we'll skip that step for now.
**Restoring the iPhone**
Once all options are set, click "Next" and wait patiently as the process takes about 10-15 minutes. This will restore our iPhone to its original settings. After it's complete, click "OK" and power off your iPhone. Next, we'll click "Start" in iTunes, holding both the power button and home button together for a few seconds.
**Entering DFU Mode**
Hold the power button for 3-2-1 and release when you're done. Let go of the power button but keep holding the home button until SnowBreeze recognizes your iPhone in dfu mode. This is putting our iPhone into recovery mode, allowing us to restore it using iTunes.
**Restoring with iTunes**
Open up iTunes and click "OK" on the popup that appears when you see your iPhone in recovery mode. On your keyboard, hold shift while left-clicking "Restore" and open the SnowBreeze Restore for your iPhone. Wait patiently as this takes about 10 minutes, and your iPhone will be restored.
**Unjailbreaking and Unlocking**
After your iPhone is fully restored, slide to unlock it on the springboard. You should now see Cydia open up and loading. Give it a few seconds, and you'll be untethered jailbroken on 4.3.3 or 4.2.8.
**Unlocking Your iPhone**
To unlock your iPhone, search for UltrasSnow in Cydia and install it. Make sure you have the compatible basebands as shown in the guide. Once installed, reboot your iPhone and you'll have service on 4.3.3.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance with jailbreaking your iPhone.
