Samsung's Got an Event Coming Up and the Company Says the Most Powerful Galaxy is Coming Here's What You Can Expect
Let's take a look at the official trailer that Samsung has released for their upcoming event. The trailer features a glowing box being shipped, which is larger than a phone box. The size of the box is impressive, and it's clear that Samsung is making a big deal about this event. The trailer ends with a shot of the box flipping over, and from what can be seen, it looks like a clamshell laptop with a glowing box as the screen.
Of course, there are plenty of leaks surrounding this event, but we'll get to those in due time. One thing that is confirmed, however, is that Samsung will be introducing new laptops at their April Unpacked event. These laptops are called the Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360. Both of these devices are Windows machines with S Pen compatibility.
The Galaxy Book Pro is a traditional clamshell laptop, while the Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a screen that can bend all the way back like a two-in-one device. This design feature gives us an idea of the ports on each laptop. It seems that both devices have full-sized HDMI ports, as well as a couple of USB Type-C ports. One port on each laptop also appears to have Thunderbolt compatibility, while one device has an old USB-A port.
More information about these laptops was provided by 91mobile.com, who claim to have actual pictures of the devices. These pictures show a dedicated Windows key on the keyboard, which makes sense given that these are Windows laptops. Both laptops will have 13 and 15-inch variants inside, and they'll be powered by Intel Core i7 processors with Intel Iris X graphics.
There's also an option to get an NVIDIA MX450 GPU, which suggests that Samsung may be using AMOLED displays for the Pro line of devices. AMOLED screens have amazing color and deep blacks compared to traditional LCDs. This information was confirmed by Sam Mobile, who detailed a third laptop called the Galaxy Book Go.
The Galaxy Book Go is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx system-on-a-chip, which makes it an arm-based machine that runs Windows. The site also had spec sheets for this device, which revealed that you could get either four or eight gigs of RAM, with up to 256 gigs of storage available. These laptops will have 14-inch displays and start at $350.
Pricing information was posted by Roland's Quant of Win Future on Twitter, who revealed that the Galaxy Book Go would start at $350 for an arm-based Windows 10 machine. The prices for the Galaxy Book Pro devices range from $1,100 to $1,300, according to Roland's Quant of Win Future.
Other Samsung products are rumored to be coming around this time, but it's unlikely they'll make an appearance at this event. Eventually, we'll get to see everything that Samsung has in store for us once they officially introduce everything. Until then, I'm excited to share all the details with you, and I'll see you online!
