iOS 12 Jailbreak - iPhone XS & XR May Not Get Jailbreak, Update or Stay on 11.4 _ JBU 64

**Initial Analysis of iOS 12 Jailbreak Vulnerabilities**

Recent news from the security community has highlighted some concerning information regarding the potential jailbreak of iOS 12 on newer iPhone models, specifically those with the A12 Bionic chip set. Luca Tedesco, a well-known security researcher, has stated that iOS 12 will be much harder to jailbreak than previous versions. This news is particularly alarming for those who enjoy exploiting vulnerabilities in their iPhones and may be looking to jailbreak in the future.

Tedesco's statement was echoed by other experts, including coolstar, who tweeted about the recent discovery of a vulnerability in Electra 11 through 11.3.1 that allowed for jailbreaking iOS 11 without using KPP or KTR bypasses. However, Tedesco and others have confirmed that this vulnerability will not be present on newer devices with the A12 chip set, making it significantly harder to jailbreak. In fact, even researchers who are keen on exploiting vulnerabilities have stated that it is now unexploited on these new devices.

The implications of this news are clear: those who wish to stay up-to-date with the latest iPhone models should exercise caution. The iPhone 10s and lower models will likely not be significantly affected by this change, but users of newer devices with the A12 chip set may find themselves unable to jailbreak their phones. For now, it is recommended that users on these new devices do not update to iOS 12, as this will render any potential jailbreak vulnerabilities unusable.

**History of iOS Jailbreaking**

This latest development comes after a long history of iOS jailbreaking, which has seen its fair share of challenges and breakthroughs over the years. In fact, security researchers have been warning about the impending difficulties in jailbreaking for several years now. As we've seen in the past, these warnings often seem dire, but ultimately, skilled researchers manage to find a way to circumvent Apple's security measures.

One notable example of this is from Luca Tedesco himself, who previously warned that iOS 12 would be impossible to jailbreak. This warning was met with skepticism by many, but it ultimately proved to be accurate. The discovery of the Electra jailbreak just two years later showed that even the most dire predictions can come true.

Similarly, other experts have been cautioning about the challenges in jailbreaking for some time now. Coolstar, a well-known figure in the iOS jailbreaking community, has also spoken out about the difficulties that lie ahead. It's clear that these experts are taking their work very seriously and are committed to ensuring that any potential jailbreaks are thoroughly tested and reliable.

**The Future of iOS Jailbreaking**

As we move forward into an uncertain future for iOS jailbreaking, it's clear that things will only get more challenging. The latest news from the security community has left many users wondering whether they'll ever be able to exploit vulnerabilities in their iPhones again. However, as we've seen time and time again, skilled researchers are always ready to step up to the challenge.

In fact, it's likely that a jailbreak will eventually emerge for iOS 12, even if it takes longer than expected. As long as there is demand from users who wish to exploit vulnerabilities in their iPhones, there will always be someone willing to take on the challenge of finding a way around Apple's security measures.

For now, users are advised to stay cautious and avoid updating to iOS 12 unless absolutely necessary. It may be tempting to upgrade to the latest iPhone model, but with this new vulnerability in place, it's likely that jailbreaking will become increasingly difficult. As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on developments in the security community and will provide updates as soon as they become available.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, the news from the security community regarding iOS 12 has left many users wondering about the future of iPhone jailbreaking. While it's clear that things will only get more challenging, it's also likely that a jailbreak will eventually emerge for this new vulnerability. For now, users are advised to stay cautious and avoid updating to iOS 12 unless absolutely necessary.

As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on developments in the security community and will provide updates as soon as they become available. Whether you're an experienced jailbreaker or just looking out for your loved ones who may be interested in exploiting vulnerabilities in their iPhones, it's essential to stay informed about the latest news and trends.

So, what do you think? Will you be sticking with older iPhone models or taking a chance on the new devices with the A12 chip set? Let us know in the comments below!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys my name is Brandon and welcome back to the 64th jailbreak update episode and we have some concerning news to talk about today so this episode's gonna be a little bit shorter because we're only going to talk about one topic since I did just recently make a jailbreak update episode and if you missed that you can check it out in the cards and down in the description below I talked all about the iOS 12 jailbreak but anyways what we're gonna be talking about in this video is jailbreaking in the new age 12 chip on the new iPhones and how it could be concerning for the future of jailbreaking so of course you guys know that the new iPhone 10s the 10s Macs and the iPhone 10 are just got released earlier this week and in those new devices comes Apple's new age 12 Bionic chip and unfortunately according to multiple security researchers including Luca Tedesco and coolstar it's gonna be a lot harder to jailbreak on the a12 devices and the most in-depth breakdown of this new a12 Bionic chip and how it relates to jailbreaking comes from Morpheus so he posted an article or a forum post on his site titled iPhone 10's 10r and one more thing which Apple didn't tell you about the a12 Bionic but it's important it supports armed version 8.3 why should you care if you're a developer that gives you JavaScript floats and an arm assembly instruction something you could likely have lived without but exploiters and jailbreakers are going to find this a problem because of arms P AC which is pointer authentication codes and then it goes on to post snippets of some code and then it closes with some final comments which you can read on the screen right now like I said it's a pretty in-depth stuff and a lot of people will not understand this pretty much only security researchers and developers will understand this fully and if it did not make sense to you developer know pixel tweeted out and easier to understand reason twitting out it now supports arm version eight point three point earth indication as shown by Luca Tedesco this removes a lot of exploit vectors and just makes exploitation harder and then he says to user land KTR are and looks really really well implemented we're screwed if it's as good as it seems it is completely screwed I'll post updates as we find them but honestly it doesn't look too good to long didn't read so far initial analysis doesn't look great for most post exploitation methods iOS 12 on the iPhone 10 or older won't be significantly harder like a 12 devices will be but it's still harder stay on iOS 11 please so obviously all is pretty concerning and pretty alarming news for those of you that are into jailbreaking for those of you that want to jailbreak in the future but the reality is this is not the first time we've heard things like this me personally I've heard this at least three different times over the past few years I remember specifically when Luca Tedesco a couple years ago said and it would be impossible to jailbreak I said an advice and then we got that jailbreak like a year later now of course everything that they're saying is true and there's probably no way to jailbreak it right now and it's definitely gonna be harder than it was with the a11 chip but I feel like the jailbreak is eventually going to come somebody or some team is eventually going to figure it out now coolstar also tweeted this out Electra eleven through eleven point three point one showed that it was possible to jailbreak ios 11 without using kpp KTR our bypass and without burning private techniques for code sign or sandbox the point is that on a 12 it will not be possible to jailbreak without burning any zero days or private techniques which know researchers seem to be keen to do as we have seen with Katie RR and then Luca Tedesco also chimed in on this on Twitter as you can see from the tweets here he also said in response to someone no I mean our IP all well most I okay UAF it's all unexploited well now on a 12 so once again look at Tedesco is saying that it's unexploited on the age 12 chipset so once again all these talented security researchers and developers are definitely not saying that it's impossible to jailbreak for no reason it's definitely gonna be harder I'm not gonna say it possibly because I think a jailbreak will eventually come but it's definitely gonna be a lot harder than it ever has been in the past and keep in mind for those of you that maybe Capiz we're not talking about iOS 12 year we're specifically talking about the new devices with the a 12 a Bionic chip set and that once again is the iPhone 10s the 10s Macs and the iPhone 10 are so if you're on the iPhone 10 or below you really don't have much to worry about with what we're talking about here but I will say do not update to iOS 12 if you are wanting to jailbreak in the future if you are jailbroken now stay on that jailbreak if you're not Joe broken down great to eleven point four point one while you can and if you're on eleven point four obviously stay put on eleven point four if you watch my last jailbreak update aside you know that it's definitely gonna be possible to jailbreak ios 12 in the future but until that day comes I would stay put and not update to iOS 12 again until that public jailbreak does get released so yeah I hope this video helped to clear some things up a beginning of messages and tweets over on Twitter talking about people are just talking about how they're not gonna be buying the new iPhones because it's not gonna be possible to jailbreak looks like I said is a possibility that they will never be jailbroken but I personally think that they will it's just going to be harder and it's gonna take longer so definitely do not think that jailbreaking is there because once again like I've said time and time again over the years as long as there are millions of people with iPhones that want to jailbreak their phone as long as there is a demand there we are going to have a public jailbreak of course we don't get the jail breaks as often as we did in the past but that's just how the game goes it's a lot tougher now a lot of things have changed but anyways guys I hope you enjoyed the video if you did make sure give this video a thumbs up also make sure to subscribe for a lot more jailbreaking update videos I'm sure there's gonna be a lot to talk about with these devices in the future and of course make sure to stay tuned for any new developments with the iOS 12 jailbreak so anyways guys thanks again for watching and I'll see you
