The Tweak: Installing and Using Jester Music Controls

To install and use this tweak, you'll need to be jailbroken if you haven't already done that. Click the link below and complete the procedure then return to this video for The Tweak.

So now that we made sure that the phone is jailbroken, we're going to go over to Cydia and once it loads up tap search on the bottom right and we going to look for just testure music controls just tap that when it shows up and then this is an app or a tweak that you're going to need to purchase for 9 so tap purchase on the top right and follow the purchasing steps that you normally use to purchase tweaks.

Now that you've purchased this tweak, we're going to tap close on the top right and where purchase used to be we're going to tap install once that shows up and then tap confirm and let it download and install on your phone and once it's done that you're going to tap restart springboard and wait for your phone to restart.

So now that your phone has restarted, we're going to go over to the settings and I'm going to scroll down till we find gesture music Control controls oops and as you can see uh just your music controls Works in uh the lock screen the control center and the music app and these will be on by default but you can disable them if you want.

Then I'm going to go down and animations type basically let you choose different animations that jesture creates I'm going to keep slide off but you can play around with that later and uh swipe control uh lets you invert the swipe actions so you can change that to your desire sharing uh basically if you want you could swipe up to share what you're listening to and then the action indicator let you select whether or not you wanted to listen uh the little symbol to appear uh which shows you what you just did.

So for example, it'll show you the pause symbol when you pause so you can leave that on or off and then skip 15 forward uh let you double tap the right side of the screen to skip 15 seconds forward into a song but it also works backwards so you can do the same thing to go backwards.

That's it in terms of settings and if you've changed anything, you're going to have to press respring. I'm just going to do this to change otherwise you don't need to. But I'm going to tap respring and wait for my phone to restart once your phone has finished respringing we're going to go into the music app and I'm going to go and choose a song real quick and it's playing automatically.

If I want to pause it, I just tap in the middle if I want to uh keep playing it tap in the middle again to press play again I can swipe between songs like this going forward a little bit too forward I guess and uh going backwards as well and Skip 15 seconds ahead by long pressing on the right side and then skip 15 back doing on the same on the left side also I can bring up a sharing menu if I like by swiping up like as such.

And this works also from the control center where the uh artist name and song name are and this only works where uh the artist name and song name are just to prevent you from uh swiping accidentally and changing the song by accident. So that's that for Jester music controls, it's a great tweak that basically changes the music controls from an oldfashioned tapping to more modern swiping gestures so enjoy
