Apple Pro here and Apple has just officially released their iOS 6 new firmware. It's long awaited and has 200 plus new features now in this video I'll be telling you guys what it means for jailbreakers and unlockers.

For those of you that are jailbroken, there is a message that you will lose your jailbreak if you update to iOS 6. Currently, there is a jailbreak available that you can watch here, but it's a tether jailbreak not the most convenient however it does work on iOS 6 and for those of you that value your untether jailbreak I would stay on iOS 5.1 until I warn you to do otherwise update to iOS 6.

Of course, I will let you guys know when there is an untethered 6.0 jailbreak. For those of you that just need an unlock on your iPhone you don't care about jailbreaks you can update to iOS 6 if you have an AT&T iPhone 4, 4S or 3GS as I will be showing you guys how to unlock it in the next few coming days.

For those of you with International GSM iPhones maybe Verizon or Sprint and you rely on an unlock I would not update to iOS 6 yet wait for my video again showing you guys that it's okay to do so. For those of you that are currently running a factory unlock it is safe to update your unlock will be preserved as you can see here's my iPhone 4S running 6.0 the official firmware and my T-Mobile factory unlock has been saved so don't worry about updating if you are running a factory unlock it is safe to update.

If you're okay with everything I said and you still want to update you can do that two ways go to settings go to General software update in here it will show that you have the latest iOS 6.6.0 software as you can see it'll look just like this also you can do it on your computer through iTunes just click update and it will update your iPhone.

However, if you are running a pre-release of iOS 6 the GM the beta firmwares you will have to restore to iOS 6 as updating will result in an error. That's it for now, just a quick update to let you guys know iOS 6 has been released and what it means for jailbreakers and unlockers.
