The Unboxing of Diablo I Collector's Edition: A Comprehensive Look

What's up guys? It's Lou from Unbox Therapy, and today we're taking a look at Diablo I this is of course the collector's edition which has gotten many individuals excited. People are tweeting at me saying get it unboxed they're coming at me on Facebook every way you can imagine and so anyways here it is.

The Box: A Masterpiece of Design

The box is absolutely beautiful there's texture all over it. This emblem here is extruded from the actual packaging, and inside there are so many different items that I've got to cover. So, I'm going to get straight into it. I'm not going to waste any more of your time. Let's talk about the box first. The box is a work of art, with texture and design elements all over it. It's clear that a lot of effort was put into creating this packaging, and it shows.

Delving into the Contents

As you can tell, there are so many different items included in this box. I'll pull them all out and then give you more detail on each one in a quick second but as you can see from the outside, there's a lot going on here. Inside the box, we've got the soundtrack, DLC, physical objects, a USB key, a statue, an art book, and a collector's edition guide. Let's take a closer look at each of these items.

The DLC: A Comprehensive Pack

You've got your Diablo I Expansion Pack DLC, which includes everything you need to expand your gameplay experience. You also get three guest passes for Diablo I, as well as a World of Warcraft guest pass. These are all included in the box, so you're all set with regards to guest access.

The USB Key: A Convenient Storage Option

Next up is the USB key, which houses the Diablo I expansion pack. This is a convenient storage option that allows you to carry your game data around easily.

The Statue: A Detailed Piece of Art

Now, let's talk about the statue. The detail on this thing is incredible. I'm going to bring it up close and personal so you can see just how intricate it is. There are still images at the end of this video that will give you a closer look.

The Soundtrack: A Sonic Masterpiece

Moving on, we've got the soundtrack. There's a track listing on the back of the packaging, which includes 25 songs or something like that. I'm not sure exactly how many there are, but they're probably all pretty short. As I look inside here, you get a closer look at the disc and the artwork within this package.

The Diablo III Hard Cover Art Book: A Collector's Treasure

One of my favorite aspects of any collector's edition is the hard cover art book. This one is no exception. The artwork within this book is incredible, from concept to final product. You can really see the effort that goes into creating these games, and it starts out with the everyday drawings before they're animated and moving around on your computer screen.

The Game Disc: A Must-Have for Any Collector

Of course, you need a game disc to play the game itself. The official manual or quick start guide is included in the box, which is nice because sometimes these guides can be pretty dense. As I look at this, you'll notice that there's some artwork in here too.

Behind-the-Scenes Coverage: A Look at the Making of the Game

Last but not least, we've got behind-the-scenes coverage, which includes two discs: a Blu-ray and a DVD ROM. This should be pretty interesting for fans who want to see what goes into making these games. I'm excited to dive in and take a closer look.

in this box so many things I've got to cover so I'm going to get straight into I'm not going to waste any more of your time so first things first let's talk about the Box the box is absolutely you more detail on each independent one in a quick second but as you can tell you've got the soundtrack some DLC there's a couple of different discs including a behind the scenes disc you've also of course got your physical objects that are included the USB key along with the Statue and then you have a nice hard cover art book and I always appreciate those art books so first things first let's talk about the DLC you've got your Diablo I Expansion Pack DLC you've also got three guest passes I believe for Diablo I and then lastly you've got the World of Warcraft guest pass so there you go they got you covered on your guest passes uh next of course we've got the USB key which I believe houses the Diablo I expansion pack that I mentioned earlier in the DLC portion of this video that was like 20 seconds ago and then next I've got the statue here and the the detail is incredible I'm going to bring you up close and personal that's what we do here on unbox therapy you know I know you guys need your therapy you got to get these products in your face and uh so anyways there's a better look at it I'll have some still images at the end of this video as well to get a even closer look so next you've got the soundtrack there's a track listing on the back of the packaging once again the packaging is beautiful from every angle and as I look inside here you get a closer look at the disc and the artwork within this package right here you've got a number of different songs on this soundtrack I think there was like 25 listed or something like that now I can't even remember and I just looked but anyways they're probably short I'm going to go ahead and throw that in maybe I'll listen to it right after this unboxing maybe I should listen to it while I'm unboxing so next I've got the Diablo 3 hard cover art book and these to me are probably the most important aspect of any collectors Edition that's because you can sort of get it get an appreciation for the amount of effort that goes into the development of these games and it really all starts out with the artwork it starts out from a concept standpoint as normal everyday drawings long before they are animated long before they are moving around on your computer screen so the next a sort of important component here to this unboxing the game disc you got to have the game disc to play the game on the left you'll notice the official manual or quick start guide whatever it is that you want to call it and it's actually fairly concise um you got a little bit of artwork in here to go well with the artwork that you got in the official art book and then you got a little bit of information to get you up and running in the game next we have the behindth scenes coverage and there are two discs included in this case the first is a Blu-ray and the second is a DVD ROM so you have options options are always good and this should be some pretty cool coverage that they've got here do like to look behind the scenes and see what's going on how where the actions taking place so lastly I got the collector's edition or limited edition I should say of the official guide for the purpose of this unboxing and uh as you'll notice it did come with a special metallic bookmark as well I'll show you more about that in a quick second but first I'll give you a quick flip through this official guide and as you'll notice it's of course like any other guide that's going to tell you exactly how to master this game I like to get the guides as collector's items I don't necessarily use them but they are a nice addition especially to a large collector edition of the game like this one so the last thing to talk about is this metallic bookmark that did come along with the Limited Edition guide and I was actually surprised by the quality of this thing you've got Engravings on it it's actually fairly detailed it's not just like a throwin kind of thing so you do have yourself a pretty badass bookmark to go with your collector's edition or should I say Limited Edition guide anyway guys I'm going to give you some quick visuals here some macro closeups of some of the different items included in this unboxing
