**Most Anticipated Releases of 2017: A Fan's Perspective**
As a fan of Aristotle and Dante, I have to say that I'm excited for 2017 to arrive. With so many amazing books scheduled to be released this year, it's going to be a tough competition for me to decide which ones to prioritize on my reading list. In fact, I've already marked down "Aristotle and Dante" as one of the most anticipated releases of the year. I have a feeling that it's going to be fantastic, and I'm eager to dive into its world.
My next most anticipated release is "Strange the Dreamer" by Laini Taylor. Released on March 28th, this book has been generating so much buzz among fans, and for good reason. I recently read Laini Taylor's "Daughter of Smoke & Bone" series last year, and it became one of my all-time favorite series. It was on my list of favorite books of 2016, and I fell completely in love with its epic storyline, beautifully written prose, and memorable characters. When I saw that she was publishing a new book in 2017, I was over the moon with excitement. The description on Goodreads says it all: "Strange the Dreamer is the story of the aftermath of a war between Gods and Men, A mysterious City stripped of its name, a Mythic hero with blood on his hands, a young librarian with a singular dream, a girl every bit as perilous as she is imp, periled. Alchemy and blood can candy nightmares and godspawn moths and monsters, friendship and treachery, love and Carnage welcome to Weep." I don't even want to know what half of that means, but I'm ready for it all the same. The description alone is epic, and I can only imagine how incredible this book is going to be.
Finally, my last most anticipated release of 2017 has to be "Lord of Shadows" by Cassandra Clare. Released on May 23rd (with several changes to its original release date), this book is the second installment in the Dark Artifices series, following "Lady Midnight", which was released in 2016. The series follows a group of Shadowhunters at the Los Angeles Institute, and we're introduced to new characters, including Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn, as they navigate the world of demons, vampires, and other supernatural creatures. I read "Lady Midnight" right when it came out, and while it wasn't my favorite Cassandra Clare book (that distinction goes to some of her earlier works), I did enjoy it for its epic storyline, complex characters, and intricate world-building. I'm particularly excited to see how the plot unfolds in "Lord of Shadows", as well as the development of certain relationships between characters, like Mark and Kieran's romance. With Cassandra Clare's ability to craft engaging stories and memorable characters, I have no doubt that this book is going to be a must-read for fans of the series.
**Conclusion**
These are just a few of my most anticipated releases for 2017, but I'm always on the lookout for new books to add to my reading list. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys it's Hannah and today I'm going to be talking to you all about my most anticipated 2017 book releases so since the end of last year I have been making a list of some of the books that I am most anticipating for this coming year and I have narrowed it down to a total of six books throughout the whole year that I most excited about back in the fall I made a video of my most anticipated fall releases and I'm planning to continue doing that so as the seasons go on I will be making some more specific anticipated lists so if you don't see one of your most anticipated books on this list I may include it in a f future video when I talk about my most anticipated summer releases or something like that but for now these are my overarching six books that I am really really anticipating throughout the whole year of 2017 and so without any further Ado let's get into talking about them the first book on my list I have actually already read and that is caraval by Stephanie Garber and this book is set to be released on January 31st I actually already have a full non-spoiler video review for this book up on my channel so I will leave that linked on the screen as well as down below if you'd like to hear more of my thoughts on it but Carval is a debut fantasy novel that follows the story of these two sisters named scarlet and ta and ever since she was a child Scarlet has always been fascinated by this show called caraval and caraval is essentially like a game/ circus SL show type of thing that travels around to different places and it's very exclusive and it's very difficult to get tickets to go and like I said ever since she was young Scarlet has been wanting to go see Carval and in this she finally gets the opportunity to go but she doesn't want to risk upsetting her abusive and manipulative father so her sister tell comes up with a plan to get her to go but when she gets there things don't turn out exactly as she expected and she finds out that her sister has been kidnapped and the object of this year's show/ game is to find ta it's filled with mystery magic action suspense so many wonderful things and it was such a fantastic read I really really enjoyed this book but it was one of my most anticipated books of this year because I have a feeling that this one is going to blow up completely also there's just so much that happens in here that I want to be able to discuss with other people so I cannot wait for this book to release because it's just such a fun story and if you like anything that is magical or suspenseful I definitely think you'll enjoy this one the next book on my list is we are okay by Nina Lor and this book is set to release on February 14th this is a contemporary novel that follows the story of this girl named Marin who has kind of dropped her entire life and left everything and everyone behind and that's all because she's trying to run away from a tragedy that happened in her life that no one really knows about and she won't talk about it with anyone and then eventually one day her friend Mabel ends up coming to visit her and she's forced to confront all of these things that she's been trying to escape and the story is supposed to be about love and friendship and grief it's gotten fantastic reviews so far and it sounds like something that I feel like I'm really going to enjoy because as many of you know I love character-driven stories and this definitely sounds like it's going to be a character-driven story because it's all about Marin and her learning to confront and deal with her grief and the things that have happened in her life and building her relationships with her friends and I'm assuming also some family and from everything that I've read about it it just sounds s like it's going to tug at your heartstrings and be such an emotional and important novel because from what I've heard about it so far and if it lives up to my expectations I have a feeling that it will become one of my favorite reads of the year the next book on my list is the hate you give by Angie Thomas and this book is set to release on February 28th but it follows the story of this 16-year-old girl named star who is part of two different communities she was born and raised in a poorer neighborhood and then she goes to school in the suburbs in a wealthier high school but then her life ends up being completely shattered when her best friend is killed in fatal shooting by a police officer the whole story is inspired by the black lives matter movement and I just think that is going to make for such a fantastic novel and I'm so excited to read this book I'm just so thrilled to see a ya novel that's going to be tackling such an important topic And discussing so many social issues and reaching out to the young adult audience which is just fantastic to me so I just cannot wait for this book to come out because from what I've heard about it so far and from what people are saying who have already read Advanced copies it's going to be incredible and hopefully I enjoy it just as much as other people have the next book on my list is probably one of my most top anticipated releases and that is the inexplicable logic of My Life by Benjamin L SS and this book is set to release on March 7th SS is the author who wrote Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe which is one of my all-time favorite books as many of you know because I never stopped talking about it and this is his new ya release that is coming out this year and I am so grateful to already have an arc of it because I'm planning on reading this very very soon but this book follows the story of this High School senior named s and his best friend Samantha and was adopted by his gay father into a Mexican-American family and he's always been really comfortable with his life however at some point in the story his past kind of comes back to haunt him and it leaves him feeling kind of lost and uncertain of his place it deals with grief and loss and relationships and as you can see from some of the other books that I've mentioned on this list things that I really enjoy reading about like I said Sans is one of my favorite authors so I am happy to read anything he's ever written and so far this sounds like it's going to be equally as beautiful as Aristotle and Dante at least that's what I'm hoping but if you were a fan of Aristotle and Dante I would definitely mark this down on your list of books to look forward to in 2017 because I have a feeling that it's going to be a fantastic one my next most anticipated release has to go to strange the dreamer by Laney Taylor and this book is being released on March 28th so I read Laney Taylor's daughter of smok and Bone series last year and I fell completely in love with it it became one of my all-time favorite series it was on my list of favorite books of 2016 it's just such a fantastic epic series that is so beautifully written so when I saw that she was publishing a new book in 2017 I was so so excited because I'm so ready for more of her writing and I would have a really difficult time trying to explain to you what this book is about because I don't even truly understand it so I'm just going to read you the little description that is on Goodreads so it says strange the dreamer is the story of the aftermath of a war between Gods and Men A mysterious City stripped of its name a Mythic hero with blood on his hands a young librarian with a singular dream a girl every bit as perilous as she is imp periled Alchemy and blood can candy nightmares and godspawn moths and monsters friendship and treachery love and Carnage welcome to weep so that's all it says and I don't even know what half of that means but I am so ready even the description alone is epic so I can't even imagine how incredible this book is going to be I don't even want to know any more about it because when I went into daughter of smok and Bone I knew almost nothing about that series and I think I enjoyed it even more because of that and I feel like I will also enjoy this one without knowing a thing aside from that little description so yeah March is way too far away because I need this book immediately and finally the very last book on my list of most anticipated releases has to go to Lord of Shadows by Cassandra CLA the release date for this book has changed so many times but the latest one that I saw was May 23rd so that's what we're sticking with so for those of you who may not know Lord of Shadows is the second book in the dark artifices series lady midnight was the first book that came out in 2016 Lord of Shadows is coming out in 2017 and then the third and I believe final book in the trilogy will be coming out in 2018 I can't really say too much about the plot of Lord of Shadows itself because a I don't know that much cuz there hasn't been that much released and B because it would spoil a lot of Lady midnight but essentially the dark artifices follow these shadow hunters in the Los Angeles Institute and we follow the characters Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorne as well as the rest of the Blackthorn family as they all go on some more Shadow Hunter Adventures I read lady midnight right when it came out and I enjoyed the book but it wasn't my favorite Cassandra Clair book that has ever come out a lot of people have said that it might be their favorite Shadow Hunter Series so far but personally it didn't do that much for me compared to some of the other ones and that personally for me was just because I didn't click with a lot of the characters however plot-wise I think these books are definitely some of her better ones you get to delve into a lot more of the world and there's a lot more politics with like the clave and stuff and that part really intrigues me and I really really liked that about lady midnight and I'm really excited to see how that's expanded in Lord of Shadows and the future book so even though overall lady midnight wasn't my favorite there were still some parts of it that I absolutely loved specifically Mark and Kieran and I'm so excited to see how that all develops as well as like I said all the stuff with the claive and the Blackthorn family and the whole world but yeah I've been a shadow Hunters fan for so long that these books are just really special to me so I'm always going to be excited whenever we can get some more of this world all right guys but that is it for my most anticipated 2017 book releases let me know in the comments down below what some of
