**Mono Device Review: A Game-Changer for Sound Quality and Price**
As a tech enthusiast and YouTube streamer, I'm always on the lookout for products that can enhance my streaming experience. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Mono device, a compact and affordable sound solution that claims to deliver high-quality audio with minimal setup.
**Real-Time Monitoring and Volume Control**
One of the standout features of the Mono device is its real-time monitoring capabilities. With this feature enabled, you can monitor your audio source in real-time, even if it's streaming to a large audience with no volume. This allows you to catch any issues or problems before they become major concerns.
The device also comes equipped with a volume control slider on the right side, which enables you to adjust the level of sound coming through your headphones. This feature is particularly useful when working with sensitive ears or when you need to focus on specific sounds in your audio source.
**Mono's Reputation for Quality and Affordability**
As someone who has used various mixers in the past, I've always been impressed by Mono's reputation for delivering high-quality products at an affordable price. While many mixers can cost upwards of $400, Mono's device is significantly more budget-friendly without compromising on quality.
**Key Features and Functionality**
The Mono device comes with a range of features that make it perfect for streamers and audio enthusiasts alike. Some of the key features include:
* 48V phantom power support for condenser microphones
* Standard buttons along the bottom, including Bluetooth activation and Reverb presets
* Real-time monitoring and loop-back functionality
* Noise reducer feature for reducing unwanted sounds in real-time
* Sound pad for assigning custom sounds to specific audio sources
**Testing and Results**
I recently put the Mono device through its paces, testing its various features and functionality. I was impressed by its performance, particularly in terms of sound quality and ease of use.
One of the most impressive aspects of the device is its ability to deliver high-quality audio with minimal setup. The real-time monitoring feature proved to be a game-changer for me, allowing me to catch any issues or problems before they became major concerns.
**Conclusion**
Overall, I'm extremely impressed by the Mono device and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable sound solution. With its range of features and functionality, this device is perfect for streamers, audio enthusiasts, and anyone looking to improve their streaming setup.
**Thanks to Mono for Sending Over This Device**
I'd like to extend my thanks to Mono for sending me the device to review. I'm excited to continue using it in my streaming setup and exploring its full range of features and functionality.
**Discussion and Feedback**

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat is up everybody this is Carl from tech for goodies and today we are taking a look at this this is the mono amc2 Neo streaming mixer so they sent this over so that I could try it out and share it with you and one of the reasons that I said absolutely is that up to this point I haven't actually been using any sort of XLR microphone I've only been using a USB microphone straight into my laptop here that does all the recording and that's the one that you normally see sitting in front of me but the hope that I had was that I would be able to maybe find a way to move this microphone out of the way so like I said this is the mono C2 Neo streaming mixer what this allows you to do is bring it in an XLR microphone input you can also bring in an auxiliary input from a different sort of audio Source you can have your headphones plugged in for real-time monitoring you also have a stream out auxiliary port right here you have USBC on the back this is where you would hook up to your computer and then as also a USBC power port right here one of the cool features about this is that it has a battery built into it so you can actually go ahead and charge this and you don't have to have it hooked up to an external power source if we take a look at the front here lined up with the XLR side over here you have your game knob and you have your volume knob so this kind of controls your microphone volume that's coming in and you also have your aux knob so if I wanted to have let's say some other volume Source coming in let's say it was from a game I was playing on an external device I could use that and then it would basically mix everything together and that's one of the powerful things about these mixers is that you have the ability to bring in multiple sources and mix them together let's say you're live streaming or recording then you don't have to worry about having so many inputs and recording them all separately and putting them together this will mix everything together okay one of the other powerful things about this is that it does have Bluetooth right so if I wanted to play Bluetooth music in the background of my video recordings from my phone or from another Bluetooth device I can do that so that's basically coming in through Bluetooth and then mixing everything together you do have a large giant knob in the middle here which is basically your USB and streaming out so this is kind of like it brings everything in mixes it all together and sends it out in one pipe in this particular case I have it hooked to my computer through this USBC cable right here and that's how I'm recording this but then I can control the volume so if I go ahead and pull this down you'll notice obviously volume will go away and if I bring it back up you can see that I have a real-time monitoring of what's Happening as I'm doing that now if I wanted to you you've probably seen a lot of streamers basically sitting there uh you know kind of with the microphone in their face and then their headphones on and that's so that I can go ahead and monitor in real time if I did have my headphones on monitor in real time what's coming out what can happen is you're not totally sure what's coming from your audio source so maybe you're streaming to a large amount of people with absolutely no volume and this allows you to monitor that in real time and this little slider on the right side here that basically allows you to control the volume in your headphones one of the things that I'm excited about as far as the mono device here is that mono has a reputation as far as I'm concerned in the things that I've used of having very good quality in their builds and their products as well as keeping the price low I've seen a lot of mixers and the reason I haven't done this up till now is most of the mixers that I look at are around two three $400 and that's not something I'm trying to do as a small sort of YouTube streamer I want to be able to have a nice little device that works for me and enjoy every bit of it so let's go over the rest of the things here so one of the important things that you will need to know is that this does support 48 volts of phantom power on a condenser mic with this button right here so the microphone that I'm using right now I typically plug in with USBC and that's where it gets the power from in this particular case through the XLR Port right here I'm able to send power to the microphone which allows it to work so that's super important because if you're just trying to rely on something else for the power you may run into issues now this has all the standard buttons along the bottom here you can turn Bluetooth on there are Reverb presets here we go we'll go ahead and give some of these a try uh it depends on what situation maybe I want to sound very much like I'm an announcer and turn it off you just basically hold the button in now again like I said before you can actually direct monitor through your headphones if you wanted to do that you would go ahead and hit this button and turn that on so that basically Loops everything back into your headphones in real time so you don't have any sort of delay you'll be able to hear that there's different PR pitch presets I'm going to go through them here pretty quickly uh I'm not exactly sure when you want to use them but you might want to have a voice change or something like that while you're streaming might be fun if you're playing games or something like that and there's also a noise reducer now I'm not using the noise reducer right now cuz I tend to like to do that in post but if you're streaming you want to make sure that you have the ability to do real-time noise reducing now you can do noise reducing in OBS but I think having it built into your sort of Sound Source is something that's super important now there's also a sound pad here if you want to sort of assign different sounds to it maybe you want to assign something like a w or a uhoh for your stream you can do that I don't have anything set up in particular with that right now so far I'm pretty excited about this product and I'm pretty happy with it like I said I've always come to you all with these products and I say let's give it a try let's test it out and see if it works if it doesn't work we'll talk about it and if it does work and we do like it well that's even better and again thanks to Mono for sending this over I think so far we really have a winner here I'm pretty impressed by this and I'm excited to have something like this that I can use to sort of take my sound set up to the next level if this was helpful to you I'd appreciate a like I'd appreciate it subscribe I'd love to see you back I do this stuff all the time I'm basically just a tech guy at my tech desk looking at Cool Tech stuff trying it out seeing if it's any good feel free to discuss anything in the comments feel free to ask any questions I'm always here and I try to reply to
