Game of Bike - Adam LZ Vs Jay Dalton

The Art of BMX Tricks: A Session with Friends and Foes

It was a typical Saturday afternoon when we gathered at our local skate park, eager to shred some gnar and push ourselves to new heights. The sun was shining bright, casting a warm glow over the concrete terrain, as we prepared for another epic session. Our friend Jay had been practicing his BMX skills, and we were all excited to see what tricks he would attempt this time around.

As we began our session, it quickly became apparent that Jay was on fire. He landed a flawless bar one hander, impressing us all with his technical skill. We cheered him on as he executed the trick, his confidence and focus evident in every move. Next up was Adam, who attempted to land a fly out trick but unfortunately fell short. Despite this setback, Adam remained determined and continued to try again, pushing himself to master the elusive technique.

Undeterred by Adam's failure, we decided to take our turns. I went for it, attempting to land a gravedigger – a new trick I had just made up on the spot. To my surprise, I was able to execute the spin with ease, and although it wasn't perfect, it was still an impressive feat. Jay, meanwhile, decided to challenge himself with a switch footed regular tail whip over the entire resi. We watched in awe as he effortlessly landed the trick, his style and finesse on full display.

As we continued our session, things started to get heated. Jay, never one to back down from a competition, decided to go for broke and attempt a decade – a trick that had eluded him for months. Despite initial doubts, I decided to join in on the challenge as well, attempting to land another fly out trick. The energy was electric as we both went for it, our boards scraping against the concrete as we hurtled towards the lip.

In the end, Jay emerged victorious, landing a flawless 540 turn and securing the win. Although I didn't quite match his level of skill, I was proud of myself for giving it my all and pushing through the pain. As we packed up our gear and said our goodbyes, it was clear that this session had been one for the books – a testament to the power of determination and creativity in the world of BMX.

The session didn't end there, however. Jay, still riding high on his win, decided to take another trick attempt. He went for a look back 540, which we all assumed would be impossible to land. But Jay proved us wrong once again, pulling off the trick with ease. I was left stunned, my mouth agape as I watched him execute the move. Although it didn't quite count as a legitimate attempt, the effort and skill on display were undeniable.

As the night drew to a close, we reflected on our session and the tricks we had attempted. It was clear that this had been more than just a casual ride – it had been an exercise in pushing ourselves to new heights and exploring the limits of what's possible. And as we parted ways, already looking forward to the next session, it was evident that this was only the beginning of our BMX journey together.
