COZY CHRISTMAS BOOK TAG!!

**The Cozy Christmas Book Tag**

As I sat down to record this video, I realized that I didn't have any book covers on my bookshelf. In fact, I'm not even sure if I'd call myself a book collector. But then again, I do love books, and some of them might be ones where the cover doesn't exactly match the tone or style of the story within. It's like, you know when you buy a book that's just really beautiful, but it's actually about something darker than what the cover suggests? Yeah, that happens to me too.

For example, I have a book called "Winter Wood" by Shea Earnshaw that's set in winter, has dark themes, and features witches. But the cover doesn't exactly scream "dark magic". It's more like a serene winter landscape with snow-covered trees and whatnot. It's actually one of my favorite books of the year, but the cover just didn't do it justice. Maybe if I'd seen that cover before I read the book, I might have been deterred from picking it up. But anyway, moving on.

When it comes to books with dark themes or winter settings, there are a few that really stand out in my mind. One of them is "What Lies Between Us" by John Marrs. Now, I love John Marrs' other book, "The Passengers", but this one was just too depressing for me. It's about a mother who locks her daughter in chains every night, and it's just... well, it's a really intense book that left me feeling drained. But if you're into that sort of thing, I suppose it might be worth checking out.

On the other hand, there are some books that just make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. One of my all-time favorite romance novels is "The Hating Game" by Sally Thorne, which always feels like a cozy hug to me. And then there's "Also Running" by K.T. Tucker, which I'll reread every now and then because it just makes me so happy. It's one of those books that always puts a smile on my face.

Another book that always feels like going home for me is "I Have Your Number" by Sophie Gonzalez. This one I've read before, but there's something about it that just feels familiar and comforting to me. Maybe it's the romance or the setting, but whatever it is, it always makes me feel all warm inside.

And finally, when it comes to re-reading old favorites, there are a few books that always make me feel like coming home. One of them is "Harry Potter" by J.K. Rowling (although I'm not sure how often I'll actually be listening to the audiobooks). Another one is "The Hating Game" again (I know, I know), but it's just so good that I always want to go back and re-read it.

Overall, this cozy Christmas book tag was a lot of fun to do, and I hope you guys enjoyed watching. If you're looking for some new books to add to your holiday reading list, be sure to check out the titles I mentioned above – they're all winners in my book!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone of course i am here to do a tag video because you guys know i love my tag videos and my seasonal ones like holiday ones at that so today i'm doing a tag that surprise surprise i have not done before so round of applause for me and that is the cozy christmas book tag let's get into it this was created by call me after coffee and yeah let's get into it it's a very short tag so it's gonna be a short video but that's okay we're still gonna have fun with it question number one is twinkling lights what is the most beautiful book you own so funnily enough i just did a tag like last month called the aesthetically pleasing book tag where it's all about like really beautiful covers so that whole video could really i could just link that video but the two books i'm gonna show you've talked about time and time again but they are truly the most beautiful books according to me i guess on my shelf of course the first one being the inheritance gains by jennifer lynn barnes i just love everything about this cover i love the fact of how they're going with the scheme i think the second book which is literally in by my bookshelf in the garage i think it's purple so i wonder what the third book will be green purple maybe red maybe a yellow maybe silver oh a silver would be really cool but either way they're beautiful covers and they kind of like have a foil thing to them they're fun books i love them a lot um and then the other one of course the deadly education by naomi novak i believe this was a special edition in owlcrate as you can see it has no like um dust jacket on it it's just fully hard back and it also has gold edge pages and it's just stunning i love it and of course any book that's got like a ribbon for a bookmark fancy so i love these two a ton another one i want to mention that i haven't mentioned in a while but it's still one of my favorite book covers of all time this puffin and bloom edition of little woman i think it's so adorable and in fact i read this i'm very happy i read this last year actually and i really loved it so yeah those are like my three favorite like covers of all time on my shelf when i look at my shelves my eyes always go to those books next up we have the perfect tree will you pay more to get the prettiest edition of a book we just talked about pretty editions but honestly my answer to this is no i'm a very practical person honestly if i already have a copy of a book if it's not like insanely beat up or if i really need a new copy i won't buy another one just because that's just how i am i think the only exception to this one is i've bought the harry potter illustrated versions so but they're very different than like another cover i guess you could say so i haven't like no i haven't really bought like i won't exp i won't want some questions i won't pay more to get the prettiest edition that's just not that important to me but then again other people will and i think that's awesome i think it just depends on who you are as a reader and as a buyer i just don't think i have the funds to do that maybe if i had unlimited funds i would have every edition of my favorite books of all time that would be awesome but i don't have the space nor the money to do so but maybe like if i become a millionaire which i never will but maybe one day i could do that but right now i'm good with you know just buying the same book now if i see an edition of a book like if it's on sale or something and like i'm like oh i could really afford that i would buy it and probably get rid of the other one i had because i don't think you need like multiple copies of the same book that's just my personal opinion everyone has different opinions next up we have build a snowman make a christmas book stack color or theme crap i was gonna do this but i have my living room all my books are in the garage and i have to do this while my daughter is napping so i'm going to insert a picture or two of ones that i've done in the past that are on my instagram here they are aren't they beautiful i think i did a book snope no i think i did a book tree and then i've done book stacks like red and green you know the usual so there you have it am i completely copping out of this answer yes let's we're gonna move on next up another book i forgot to grab is knee-high socks what is the longest book you've read for this one i went on my goodreads and like did by page number you can do that um i think you could do that especially for years um and i was really surprised it wasn't a harry potter book i thought that harry potter and the half-blood prince would take the cake on that one because that jake is long or is it the order of phoenix it's one of them but no surprise surprise the longest book i've read is the seventh book is it the seventh book and the throne of glass series by sarah j maas kingdom of ash coming in a whop coming in at a whopping 984 pages like so close to being a thousand pages like what that is an insanely long book and i've read that like i i'm gonna pat myself on the back for that one because i usually don't read long books like that but i did and i'm happy i read it it was ugly sweaters what is the ugliest book cover you own i don't have one if i'm if i really don't like a book cover i'll get rid of it i i said it i said it i just i don't i don't know what it is is that horrible i don't know that's i guess that could be on the notion of would you pay more for like a different edition of a book if it like had a truly horrible cover and then i saw another cover i would probably buy it because i'm like i gotta replace this a horrible cover but if i'm honest i don't have any book covers on my bookshelf then i'm just like i hate this if i do i'll say goodbye to it i still love the book i just saw the book cover we all have that i'm sure we all have books like that where you love the book where the cover has just not been your style not been your jam at all next up is blizzards a book set in winter a book that has chills slash has dark themes for this one i picked um a little bit of both and that is winter wood by shea earnshaw it's totally blown out hopefully you can see it this one is set in the winter it does have dark themes because it is about witches but it's not like super scary um this one like i said is set in winter it um takes place like in the middle of the woods and a blizzard happens so everybody's kind of stranded and you follow like this witch nora who's a teenager but she lives alone which i don't know but basically she finds this boy in the woods and he has to live with her because there's a blizzard so it's definitely a perfect book to read in the winter months because i've said a thousand times already it's set in winter as far as books that have dark themes the one that really popped out to me was what lies between us by john mars which i read this year and i love the book the passengers by john mars but i i didn't love what lies between us because honestly it was so depressing like it was dark it was just it was depressing it's about um you basically learn that the daughter is like kind of um her mom's in chains and her mom comes down for dinner every night in chains and she goes back upstairs and chains and you're like what the heck like she's holding her mom hostage for something that she's done and it's just a really intense book and a very depressing book it's got a lot of dark themes in it like i was like oh my gosh i didn't love it because it just honestly depressed the mess out of me then we have crackling fire what book makes you feel warm and cozy i mean you can pick any holiday book i've read this year but i'm not going to talk about those because i'm going to do something different i'm going to say very sincerely yours by carrie winfrey did i read this this year last year i can't remember but it is just adorable it's kind of like a you've got mail with kind of like a mr rogers thing going on i know it sounds really weird but basically it's about a character that works at this toy store and she really likes watching this um i forget the character's name so please forgive me it's on ebook she watches this guy that has like a local children's show kind of like mr rogers jim henson type of thing and so she's like one day i'm gonna write an email because i need life advice because why not and then they start an email conversation up and his name's teddy i believe i think so and it kind of goes from there and it is just all kinds of adorable if you just want a sweet fluffy book look no further than that book it's a perfect book to read for all those warm and fuzzies and then the last question we have is home for the holidays for the rereaders out there are there any books that feel like going home for me i will say every few years or so i get the um desire to listen to harry potter again that's just you know i haven't done it in a few years i think so i might get the desire to do it in january or so but it's just a fun thing i don't know when i'll do that i don't ever listen to books anymore but that's the one i have listened to the entirety of the series i think twice as and then i've read them obviously lots of times other books that i will reread like just kind of go through the hating game by sally thorne is definitely one feels like going home to me because it's like my favorite romance of all time also running um also the civil war by k tucker i'll reread that every now and then it's just adorable so romantics really will also i've got your number by sophie gonzale i have reread that one before all of those really feel like kind of going home to me so there you have the cozy christmas book tag i hope you guys enjoyed this short but sweet tag i couldn't let the month of december go by without filming a tag video because it wouldn't be me and i have to do that so we're doing it but nevertheless i hope you enjoy this video and thank you for watching byehello everyone of course i am here to do a tag video because you guys know i love my tag videos and my seasonal ones like holiday
