My First Christmas Gift: A Dyson Hairdryer and More!
This year, I received some amazing gifts from my loved ones, and I'm excited to share them with you. First up, my mom got me a new Dyson hairdryer that I've been wanting for a while now. I've had the same blow-dryer for 10 years, which isn't an exaggeration - it's actually true! So, when I told my mom that I needed a new one, she surprised me with this fantastic gift. Not only is it high-tech and efficient, but it also comes with an emergency button that can send a signal to whoever I program it for in case of an emergency. The alarm on this thing is called Athena, and I'm absolutely loving it.
But that's not all - my brother also got me some amazing gifts. First, he gave me a bunch of T-shirts, which are my favorite type of clothing. He even went the extra mile to get me some völuspá handles, which I know sound fancy but trust me, they're amazing. And if that wasn't enough, he got me some incredible candles with a scent that smells like heaven. I'm not kidding when I say that these candles are my new favorite thing - I could use them all day!
My brother also made me the most heartwarming gift ever - a photo album filled with old pictures of me from my entire childhood up until my teenage years. I had no idea he had gone through boxes and boxes of old stuff to find these treasures, and it's clear that he put a lot of thought and love into creating this special gift for me. Seeing all these pictures brought back so many memories, and I have to admit, I got a little teary-eyed when I saw how much Carter looked like me as a kid.
And if all those gifts weren't enough, my brother also gave me a spa day - which is literally my favorite thing ever! I love getting massages and relaxing in a peaceful environment, and it's clear that he knew just what to do to make me happy. He even got me a gift certificate for a popcorn of the Month Club, which sounds like a dream come true.
Carter's Christmas Haul
When it comes to Carter's gifts, I'm not going to lie - he got some pretty amazing stuff this year! First up, there's his adorable popping bubbles dinosaur toy that I just know he'll love. He also got a few cute outfits from Carter's, including a long sleeve with bear ears that is literally the cutest thing ever. And if that wasn't enough, he got a scooter that seems to be right up his alley - I can already tell he's going to spend hours playing with it!
But what really caught my eye was the tiny mitzi doll from Fraggle Rock that Carter received. It's so sweet and adorable, and I know it's going to become one of his favorite toys. He also got a car that opens and closes the door, complete with buttons and different shapes - I'm not even kidding when I say that he loves pressing all those buttons! And the best part? The car came with little balls that can be placed on top of it in different sizes - Carter is going to have so much fun with this thing!
Other gifts from Carter's haul include some amazing books, including "peekaboo animals" and a custom book made just for him called "Good Night Little Carter". He also got a Yeti doll with one that repeats back what I say when he talks, which is literally the cutest thing ever. And if all those gifts weren't enough, there's also a bubble machine with bubbles that seems to be Carter's new favorite toy. It comes with a little fox and a tiny pair of shoes - it's just too adorable for words!
Carter's Lunch
When it comes to food, I'm not exactly sure what to expect when it comes to feeding my baby boy. But this year, we decided to try giving him some shrimp cut up into small pieces as part of his lunch. And let me tell you - he took one bite and then just stared at us like "what is going on?". It was adorable! I think we might have to stick with something a bit more familiar for now, but it's nice to know that Carter is open to trying new things.
Traveling with Baby Carter
As many of you know, this will be our first big trip ever - a six-hour drive to visit family. We're not exactly seasoned travelers when it comes to traveling with a baby, so we're going to need all the advice and tips we can get! If any of you have traveled with your little ones before, please leave us some words of wisdom in the comments below - we could really use them!
The aftermath of Christmas...
As for me now that I've wrapped up this video about my gifts from Christmas, I just wanted to show off the state of our house. Carter has been playing like a maniac and having so much fun with all his new toys, but in return, he's left us with a pile of wrapping paper and boxes galore. It's clear that we need some serious tidying up - anyone have any tips on how to get rid of baby messes quickly?
In conclusion, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who made this Christmas so special for me and Carter. From my new Dyson hairdryer to all the amazing gifts from my brother, I'm so grateful to have such loving family members who make every day feel like a holiday!
