The Galaxy Note 4 has 3.7 megapixels with 1080p recording and a cool feature, 90° selfie mode, so the Galaxy Note 4 definitely has a better prepared front-facing camera compared to its competition.
Next topic, I'm not going to get into and that's operating system. That comes down to your choice about which one offers you more. The Galaxy Note is pretty much all about customizability and control. iPhone, on the other hand, is all about easiness and simplicity. Everything just works. Everything is there.
So it really depends on what you want. Which UI do you like better? All up to you, guys. Between the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 6, there's virtually no price difference. It's not the same for these guys. So for the Galaxy Note 4, there's no official prices that have been released. However, by a reliable source, we have been told the unofficial prices. So it's going to start at $299 with 32 GB of memory on contract. Now off-contract, that's a different story. $899 with the same 32 GB of memory.
The iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 as well but comes with 16 GB and goes up by $100 every memory size to 64 and 128. Off-contract, track the iPhone 6 Plus starts at $749 at 16 GB, $849 at 64 GB, and $949 at 128 GB. So there is a little bit of a price difference there. The Galaxy Note 4 is going to cost a little bit more. Maybe because of the extra processing power and a little bit of extra features that it has over the iPhone 6 Plus.
When it comes to Features between the two, the Galaxy Note 4 does have several that the iPhone 6 Plus does not. So when looking at the unique features of the Note 4, it actually has several. Obviously, the touch stylus it has is something that the iPhone 6 does not. It's been made more accurate on the Note 4, so it does have a heart rate monitor built-in. It also has a UV sensor and infrared remote which you can control many TVs and many things with infrared sensors on them.
It also does have a really cool multitasking UI that'll allow you to do one thing while watching a video up on top. Really useful. It also has Extra Volume 2.0 where it amplifies volume. And it does have Ultra Power Saving Mode which is useful for when you just have a few percent left.
It was kind of hard finding things that were unique to the iPhone 6 Plus that were not found on the Galaxy Note 4. Well, first off, is its simplicity when you pick up an iPhone you know where everything is. You know how to use it. It's so simple just to take hold of and begin using. So for people that were on Android they come over to iOS there's no complication.
Vice versa, I would say Android does take a little bit longer to learn now also unparalleled support on the iPhone when there's a software update every iPhone gets it on every carrier that's not the same on the Note 4. Say you have Sprint and another guy has Verizon you may get your update 3 months earlier than them they might not even get it. It's kind of a hit and miss because depending on your carrier your device model number and several other factors it really depends when you'll get a software update.
So other people could be using the latest version you're stuck with the old and there's nothing you can do about it. So Apple has always been golden about releasing software updates to every carrier and every model at the same time on the iPhone. You have a better app selection in the App Store. You know you'll find apps that you usually wouldn't in the Play Store but it is getting better for Android.
Lasty, a reversible lightning connector so you could put it in both ways on the phone without you know having to take it out put it back in. It's so small but it is a difference and it is convenient. Better on the iPhone 6 Plus both of these guys do have NFC support both of them have barometers for measuring altitude used in many Health applications.
And both have their own smart watches however the Galaxy Gear is available now Apple's watch won't be available till early 2015.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys everything Apple Pro here and in this video I wanted to compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 versus the iPhone 6 Plus now quick disclaimer these aren't the actual devices this is a Note 3 and this is an iPhone 6 dummy in fact nobody even has these devices because they haven't been released yet so this video is based entirely off of specifications which can be easily found online you know some of my input and actually previous experience with the older generation devices and in this video I'm going to be helping you make a decision between these devices I'm going to be showing you the good points of each device you know give you a little bit of an argument about why each one is for you and let you guys decide which one is the one you want to buy and again like I did in the review with the iPhone 6 versus the Samsung Galaxy S5 I want to try and keep my bias out of it as much as possible and I know that's kind of hard because I work with iPhones and everything but in all honesty I love Android just as much as apple and in this video I'm going to try and keep my love for Apple out of it now the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus couldn't be more different but they're very similar in the same way as well you know the S5 and the iPhone 6 are more different than these two devices the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is actually a lot different in terms of Hardware specifications from the iPhone 6 plus it's way more powerful and throughout this video you're going to see that the specs are there's a pretty big difference between the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4 however I just want to let you guys know beforehand specs are not everything you know a product may add advertise higher processing power higher megapixel count camera but it's actual user experience that determines which phone you need over the other and unfortunately I can't share that with you guys in this video because I don't have these devices on hand so again I'm just going off of everything that's on paper now you pick these guys up first thing you'll notice is again build material Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is going to be made of a plastic so all around it has this bezel and the new one is going to be slightly more rounded on the edges kind of like the iPhone 6 so it'll look a little bit nicer and the actual back plastic is going to have a leathery plastic feel which I find it interesting I mean the Note 3 is a little bit harder but they say the Note 4 will have a softer leathery finish plastic which is you know it feels good now iPhone 6 Plus of course again it's a solid chunk of aluminium they just machine it put all the components inside and slap the display on top and that makes for a very nice design the display actually seamlessly curves into the design so Apple took the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and they give it a smooth ending instead of you know Jagged little blocks like the 5S and it flows very nicely it fits great in the palm of your hand you know no complaints these are both great now the actual screen to Edge on the iPhone 6 is a little bit smoother a little bit more fluid the Note 4 you're going to see a little bit more of a difference from the screen to the edge because it is blocky now I did say that these devices are very similar because when it comes to Dimensions they they are very similar and in terms of weight as well so the iPhone 6 comes in at 158.1mm x 77.8 width and a 7.1 mm thickness weight is at 172 G Galaxy Note 4 comes in at 153.7 mmtimes 78.6 MM width and an 8.5 mm thickness it also weighs in at 176 G now the Apple iPhone 6 is about 1.4 mm thinner I doubt you'll even notice that because the phone itself is huge what's an extra millimeter and a half to its thickness the reason that the Galaxy Note 4 is a little bit bigger weighs just a little bit more is that it has to accommodate an extra2 in for its display so the iPhone 6 has a 5.5 in IPS LCD display whereas the Note 4 has a 5.7 in Super AMOLED display and the differences between these are huge one is LCD technology one has Super AMOLED display so what's the actual difference between these displays when you pick up the iPhone 6 versus the Note 4 you're going to notice that the Note 4 has a darker more realistic set of colors some say it's a little bit Overexposed even the iPhone 6 it just has you know a regular LCD display they're both going to be very sharp however the resolutions are different the actual resolution differences between these devices was really surprising to me there's a pretty big difference Apple seems to have been a little bit slack so the iPhone 6 Plus has a 1920x 1080p resolution which is fairly stand standard for phones nowadays I'm disappointed because usually Apple likes to outdo the competition for some reason they decided not to up the resolution a little bit higher even though there's plenty of room for it so that leaves the iPhone 6 plus with a 401 PPI pixel density the Galaxy Note 4 on the other hand has a 2560 by 1440 pixel display with a crazy 515 pixel density Now rtina display you know it has to be over 326 pixels now Apple beat that definitely with the iPhone 6 Plus however the Galaxy Note 4 completely smashed it and I doubt after a certain point you're even going to notice but text and photos according to early reviewers does appear sharper on the Note 4 than the iPhone 6 plus the display material in the Galaxy Note 4 was confirmed to be corny Gorilla Glass 3 as for the iPhone it was long rumored that there would be a sapphire display which Apple did put on their watch however we didn't see it on any of the actual Apple product a reason for that is because it takes a super long time to make even artificially there's a huge demand for it with all their other products like touch ID sensor on the 5S and the rear camera glass as well as the watch so actually making it in large numbers for these devices is probably going to have to wait until the next Generation so the iPhone 6 we don't really know what it uses on its glass we're assuming it's going to be also corny Gorilla Glass 3 when it comes to processing power there's a huge divide between these devices in terms of numbers so the iPhone 6 Plus in a leaked geekbench we don't know officially yet but in a leaked geekbench it was reported that it has a 1.4 GHz chip that would be Apple's new A8 64-bit dual core processor and that houses the GPU as well inside of it there's also a separate M8 co-processor that handles all the health and tracking of movement all that so it's divided between the two processors so built-in GPU inside of there it's reported that one gig of RAM is also coming with the iPhone 6 Plus so in terms of numbers you're it's a little disappointing when we compare compare it to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which has a freaking 2.7 GHz processor quad core and 3 gigs of RAM that's crazy and it also depends on which area you live in which model you have because it comes in two models a 1.9 GHz quad core and a 2.7 GHz quad core the 2.7 one being the more common one so in terms of numbers wow it's more than double the processing power of the iPhone 6 Plus but you know how will that compare in actual real life use again I can't show you until I actually have these devices but Apple has always been in the past very very good at optimizing their system to make use of lower specs lower RAM it can be a little bit tempting looking at the Note 4 numbers and comparing them to the iPhone 6 and I was a little bit disappointed but then I remembered well in the past most iPhones have had less processing power less Ram than their competitors but they've outperformed them in terms of stability so again I'm going to bring these devices together in a real world test show you guys the actual results but before the release date this is all we have for now so next is the area where the Galaxy Note 4 completely blows the iPhone 6 out of the water and that's in terms of user upgradeability for some this isn't as big of a deal as it is for others however the iPhone 6 Plus comes in three memory sizes 16 64 GB and 128 and that's straight out of the box you know you can't change it once you buy it the Galaxy Note 4 comes in one flavor and that's 32 gigabytes yes you can upgrade that you know take off the back inside there's an SD card slot it can be upgraded to 128 GB and that memory is going to be a lot cheaper than it is for the iPhone 6 So when you buy the iPhone 6 there's a $100 difference between every single memory option and you know once you buy it you're stuck with it you can't take apart the back cover and you know change it you're just stuck with it for life so that's an important factor When comparing these devices also battery and battery is user replaceable on the Galaxy Note 4 whereas on the iPhone 6 plus if it goes bad you got to send it in for repairs you can't just replace it yourself and I know some people for the extra battery life they'll carry an extra battery with them in their wallet for the Galaxy Note 4 next is Wireless both of these devices do support 802.11 AC standard which is a faster stronger Wi-Fi connection and most routers nowadays are starting to implement it including Apple's AirPort Extreme so besides Wi-Fi LTE capability both devices have it of course the iPhone 6 has three times more compatibility than the Galaxy Note 4 because it has support for 20 LTE bands whereas the Note 4 only has support for six this won't make a difference if you just use the phone in one spot however if you're going to use the phone for traveling the 6 Plus will be a better phone for that because you have a better chance of catching LTE service on different networks in different countries due to the extra support for most people that will not be a factor in deciding between these devices now when it comes to cameras the Galaxy Note 4 is going to blow the iPhone 6 Plus out of the water when it comes to paper specifications now this does actually translate into real life usage but on paper it looks so much better so the iPhone 6 Plus has an 8 megapixel sensor eyesight called by Apple it's shared with the iPhone 6 and it has an f2.2 aperture this guy right here true tone flash it gives you the perfect picture in the dark every single time by using two little sensors inside of it to mix up the color temperature it also has Focus pixels that's a feature found on DSLR cameras it ensures you get a faster autofocus and a sharper one as well Galaxy Note 4 camera is 16 megapixels that's twice as much as the iPhone 6 Plus now that doesn't mean you're going to get a better picture it just means you're going to get a picture that's twice as big in terms of size versus the iPhone 6 Plus actual quality depends on the sensor however the aperture is better on this it's at 1.9 versus 2.2 on the 6 Plus so that means it will let in more light during you know dark photos so when you're taking pictures at night you will get less noise on the Galaxy Note 4 both of these phones do have Optical image stabilization which means they have a little motor in the camera that stabilizes it when you're recording video so you get less shake when playing it back on a larger display the Galaxy notee 4 does not have Focus pixels that's a technology exclusive to the iPhone 6 Plus as for actual video resolution both phones support 1080p at 60 frames per second nothing special there that's a standard however the Galaxy Note 4 records at 4K at 30 frames per second that's special however it is possible that Apple could add that support in a future software update to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus slow motion on these devices at 720p is 120 frames per second on this guy and on the iPhone 6 plus it's 240 frames per second that's pretty crazy for a phone as for front-facing cameras the iPhone 6 Plus has 1.2 megapixels with 720p video and the Galaxy Note 4 has 3.7 megapixels with 1080p recording and a cool feature 90° selfie mode so so the Galaxy Note 4 definitely has a better prepared front-facing camera next topic I'm not going to get into and that's operating system that comes lot of it has to do with personal preference but I hope I give you guys a little bit of an idea when it comes to specifications what's different between these devices and guys I do hope that in this video I helped impact your decision when choosing between one or the other even if I just had specs to share with you and also when I will be getting these devices of course I will be doing a full Hands-On overview comparison the real deal hope you guys enjoyed this video have a great day peacewhat's up guys everything Apple Pro here and in this video I wanted to compare the Samsung Galaxy Note you can control many TVs and many things with infrared sensors on them it does have a really cool multitasking UI that'll allow you to do one thing while watching a video up on top really useful has this really cool thing called extra volume 2.0 where it amplifies volume and it does have ultra power saving mode which is useful for when you just have a few per left to be honest it was kind of hard finding things that were unique to the iPhone 6 Plus that were not found on the Galaxy Note 4 well first off is its Simplicity when you pick up an iPhone you know where everything is you know how to use it it's so simple just to take hold of and begin using so for people that were on Android they come over to iOS there's no complication vice versa I would say Android does take a little bit longer to learn now also unparalleled support on the iPhone when there's a software update every iPhone gets it on every carrier that's not the same on the Note 4 say you have Sprint and another guy has Verizon you may get your update 3 months earlier than them they might not even get it it's kind of a hit and miss because depending on your carrier your device model number and several other factors it really depends when you'll get a softer update so other people could be using the latest version you're stuck with the old and there's nothing you can do about it so Apple has always been golden about releasing software updates to every carrier and every model at the same time on the iPhone you have a better app selection in the App Store you know you'll find apps that you usually wouldn't in the Play Store but it is getting better for Android and lastly a reversible lightning connector so you could put it in both ways on the phone without you know having to take it out put it back in it's so small but it is a difference and it is convenient better on the iPhone 6 both of these guys do have NFC support both of them have barometers for measuring altitude used in many Health applications and both have their own smart watches however the Galaxy Gear is available now Apple's watch won't be available till early 2015 and that pretty much wraps up my comparison guys again a lot of it has to do with actual using this device seeing how it Compares in real life a lot of it has to do with personal preference but I hope I give you guys a little bit of an idea when it comes to specifications what's different between these devices and guys I do hope that in this video I helped impact your decision when choosing between one or the other even if I just had specs to share with you and also when I will be getting these devices of course I will be doing a full Hands-On overview comparison the real deal hope you guys enjoyed this video have a great day peace\n"
