Cooler Master MasterPulse Pro Review - A BUDGET WONDER!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: entoday my review of caller Masters Master pulse Pro gaming headset make sure to smash that like button but let's get straight into it as always we'll kick it off with a quick physical look around the leather air cops are superb and do a phenomenal job of passively blocking external noise they're very comfortable if a little rubbery and nice and soft they don't get too hot either after extended periods of time but which is great to help prevent headphone fatig on both sides is an identical design with the RGB quer Master logo and more on that later around each ear cop is of course the metal frame which has a nice angly design with rounded edges they cross industrial design with practicality and provide a solid tilting range for each ear Drive nice this metal frame continues upwards with a split design arching over the headrest only join just above the air cot weather wire enters talking to the entering wire looks great aesthetically and is normally hidden behind a headset outside frame the headrest design is superb a rubber headband nicely adjust to the size of your head and is my opinion the best sizing options for headsets G should be the days of the Anno click to size on the sides it just works much better now back to the ear Cup's logo area and a standout feature of this headset the covers can actually be removed to provide a semiopen back design which really add a kick to the base like a serious kick it's a physical base EQ if you like and a more natural one on at that caller Masters make it your slogan really comes into play again here and you can actually 3D print your own back covers for the headset further personalization a great addition sadly this is where my bombardment of praise and kind of logical thinking ends the logo on the aop takes the same approach as their recent master keys keyboard in the white LED variant which I reviewed there's no software associated with changing the color instead it's changed via the inline remote only this leads to a limited number of colors and modes with either static or a slow through all of them which is cool if you've never seen RGB lighting before let's take a look at that remote shall we which is massive and seriously heavy but seriously it brings me on to my next issue because it's an inline remote it dangles from The Wire and because it's heavy it gets pretty cumbersome on the back it do a clip which you'd never normally use but sadly have to due to its weight on the top it's a cog icon which allows you to change the color and you have to tap that until you reach your desired color if you go too far you've got to start again on the left volume buttons up and down a really really appreciated addition and there's also an inbuilt EQ to the inline remote used for changing the profile there's a music mode which puts up the mid and the base a cinema mode which makes the sound signature more flatten a a gaming profile while and how can I explain it it sort of takes everything half decent about the EQ and completely obliterates it thankfully you don't have to use it though on the other side there's a 7.1 switch for the surround sound mode it actually makes music sound much much better what giving you the key advantage in games above that is the mic mute switch talking to the mic this headset features a discreet mic the placement something I massively prefer and it doesn't strike out or get in the way here's a mic test this is a test of the microphone on caller Masters Master Pool Pros inbuilt microphone recorded into Adobe Audition one final word on that inline remote control it's stupid impractical and feels cheap but James you're thinking just plug in a different USB cable 3 and 1/2 mm Jack and that's the issue you can't the cable's not removable which is inexcusable and becomes that way because of the software less approach and the need for such an extensive inline control box G Master do offer a model below this which loses a 7.1 surround sound for 3 and a half mm Jack and they actually told me they're releasing a model Above This which will allow for a wireless and software based approach removable cables here would have been great to see and if you can afford it I recommend taking a look at that highend model on release which gives you those Wireless capabilities that i' sort of recommend that being said in my moan having had its air time this clearly is branded at Gamers and certainly isn't the most expensive out that dealing with surround sound in headset does make it simpler for the average consumer but Co Master's decision to not use software or possible on other product such as that white LED keyboard is limited just look at asus's Sonic Studio it provides a Wrath of options and that's without delving into the RGB and or capabilities it's targeted at Gamers and for the sole purpose of gaming it's good comfortable features surround sound orbe it virtual but find any physical surround sound headsets in this price bracket spoiler you won't and it looks really quite fantastic and I just can't help but raise the point that one minute caller Master want you to make it yours with interchangeable air cup covers and the next they give you three options one frankly a bit to change the sound signature and forbid you have more open color personalization with the use of a single button I don't know what to think of this headset for the average gaming Jo it sounds great it's very comfortable core features which cannot be disregarded with products like this such as surround sound but it goes against what makes some of other caller Master's products so great the decision you have to make here is whether you personally are bothered about the loss of certain features and that larger in the remote if not and you're only planning on using this for gaming and not traveling it's a superb product I'll leave links to everything mentioned as always in the description below
