The Citron Grand C4 Picasso: A Practical Masterpiece

The Citron Grand C4 Picasso is both stylish and incredibly practical, making it an ideal choice for families, road trips, and everyday driving. One of its standout features is its impressive load space, which can be maximized with the seats folded down to a whopping 2,181 liters. This generous space allows for ample room to carry all manner of things, from soft bags to strollers, and even two small suitcases or one large one, depending on how you configure the rear seats.

While there is some frustration involved in accessing the full load space, as it requires folding various covers to achieve a flat floor, the payoff is well worth it. The low load height and huge opening make loading and unloading cargo easy and convenient. Moreover, the Citron's boot is deeper and wider than its competitors, such as the Volkswagen TAN or Kia Carens, allowing for more storage capacity under the car.

One area where the Citron excels is in its carrying capacity. Unlike some of its rivals, which can leave passengers feeling shortchanged due to unevenly sized seats, the Picasso's middle row seats are all identical, ensuring that everyone has plenty of leg room and comfort. However, this uniformity comes at a slight cost, as occupants may feel slightly less comfortable with people in each of the three roles after adjusting the seats.

In terms of storage, the Citron Grand C4 Picasso is generally impressive, with a wide range of cubby spaces dotted throughout the cabin. You can even find a removable storage area between the driver and front passenger. However, there are some notable omissions, such as the small glove box and rear door bins, which may leave some passengers feeling disappointed.

Another aspect to consider is seating comfort. While the Citron's big doors and roomy cabin make installing child seats relatively easy, locating the Isofix anchor points can be a bit more challenging than in other cars. Nonetheless, installing the seat itself is no more difficult, thanks to the Citron's generous dimensions. When it comes to fitting a child seat, however, the headroom in the very back is tighter than in some rivals, but this is still perfectly manageable for kids.

Finally, a bit of technical trivia might be worth mentioning: Citron is the only manufacturer to have won both the WRC rally raid and World Touring Car championship. While this may not directly impact your driving experience, it's an interesting footnote on the company's rich history and commitment to performance.

still have 632 L and with all the seven seats in place there's still 165 L which betters that than other cars in this class there's some under floor storage too with space for soft bags though sadly the low bay cover won't fit in here you do get a 12vt socket various tethering points and a torch though oh and you can fold down the front passenger seat too that's really handy with all the seats in place room is tied but unlike with Rivals you can fit a stroller in the very back of the car or two small suitcases or one large one F the rear most roow down though and there's an incredible amount of space however the process is a bit of a fath as you have to fold various covers to get a flat load floor once done though there's plenty of room to carry all manner of things and loading is easy due to the low load height and huge opening plus you can secrete more stuff weight under the car's Low cover than you can in a Volkswagen tan or kia Carin because the Picasso's boot is deeper and wider the only thing is that sliding a bike in is a bit tougher than in the Volkswagen as the pedals snag on the fiddly low bay covers in the Picasso for the middle row seat stand which once again is more of a faf than in Rivals and then there is an unbeatable carrying capacity we didn't even have enough props to fill the car unlike with competitors the Picasso's middle row seats are all the same size so the person in the middle isn't short changed plus they have lots of leg room however you sit slightly lower than in a Volkswagen tant which makes the citen feel slightly less comfy overall it's not as good with people in each of the three roles as after altering the seats to suit everyone there is little less leg room while head room in the very back is tighter than in the tan but it's absolutely fine for kids when it comes to fitting a child seat locating the isopix anchor points isn't quite as easy as in the Volkswagen either though installing the seat itself is no more difficult
