The New Era of Sony's Xperia X Line: A Closer Look at the Upcoming Phones

As I sit here in my hotel apartment room, editing in front of my laptop, I'm excited to share with you a new announcement from Sony that has generated quite some buzz in the tech world. The company has unveiled not one, but three new phones under its Xperia X line - XA, X, and X Performance. These phones are designed to cater to different types of customers, each with unique specifications and features.
The first phone up for review is the Xperia XA. As expected, this will be Sony's budget-friendly option, priced at an estimated €299 (although we don't know the exact price just yet). On the front, we're looking at a 5-inch 720p display, running on a Mediatech processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone also boasts a 2300mAh battery that's claimed to last up to two days. Upon picking up the phone, I noticed the edges are curved, which is either due to the glass or the metal Edge - it's an optical illusion either way. Despite this, the XA looks and feels fantastic, with a color scheme that comes in multiple options.
The next phone on our list is the Xperia X, which takes the budget-friendly approach but ups the ante with a 5-inch display resolution of up to 1080p. The processor has also been upgraded, running on a Snapdragon 650, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. One notable feature here is the fingerprint reader on the power button, reminiscent of the Z5. Additionally, the phone comes with a larger battery at 26,620mAh, which promises up to two full days of usage. The camera resolution has also been bumped up, with 23-megapixel rear and front cameras.
The final phone in our lineup is the Xperia X Performance, the flagship option that's expected to replace the Z6. As expected, it features a 5-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The processor remains the same as its predecessor, powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. However, it's the camera that stands out here, boasting 23-megapixel rear and front cameras like its siblings.
One aspect that catches my attention is the design language of these phones. The back of the Xperia X Performance, in particular, features a stunning brush metal finish that looks amazing and feels incredibly satisfying to hold. It's one of the standout design points I've seen recently, and it will undoubtedly be a selling point for this flagship device.
That concludes our overview of Sony's new Xperia X line - XA, X, and X Performance. We'll have more information on these phones as they become available, including reviews and hands-on time with each model. For now, we're eager to see how they perform in real-world usage and whether they live up to the hype surrounding their release.

done that day on Monday so now I'm talking to you from here the hotel apartment room editing in front of my laptop so this is where I've been spending the last lots and lots of hours now on Monday morning we heard a really interesting announcement from Sony they announced the Xperia XA x and x performance these are three phones spec at three different points also priced at three different points which we don't know yet for sure but will'll appeal to three different types of customer and that's what I wanted to talk about today so first off we have the Xperia XA this is going to be the budget phone this is going to be coming in at we've heard €299 it's not really we're not really sure but the phones are going to be coming out in summer so we'll have a better idea of price in the future on the front we're looking at a 5in 720p display it's running a mediatech processor 2 GB of RAM 16 gigs of internal storage and a 2300 mAh battery that they say will hold for up to 2 days so we'll test it out and see how it does in the real world when we get one to review on the back we're looking at a 13 megap camera on the front we're looking at an 8 mapel camera and that's all the specs out of the way when picking up the phone I noticed that the edges are kind of curved I'm not sure if it's the glass that's curving or if it's just the metal Edge and it's like an optical illusion but either way the XA looks fantastic and feels fantastic fantastic I love the color scheme it comes in and this seems to be a fantastic phone it'll just depend on how it performs next up on the list we have the xeria X this is going to be a notch above the XA we have a 5-in display here as well but the resolution has been up to 1080p processor wise we've also had a bump it's running a Snapdragon 650 3 gigs of RAM 32 gigs of internal storage and also you get a fingerprint reader on the power button like we saw on the Z5 so back to that it's also running a little bit bigger of a battery at 26 620 milliamp hours again promis at two full days on the back we've seen the camera resolution bumped up as well to 23 megapixels and on the front we're looking at a 13 mapel now the rear-facing cameras on this and the XA and all of Sony's phones this line round are using what they're calling a hybrid predictive autofocus system it's supposed to be super super fast and extremely precise and finally we have the Xperia X performance this is supposed to be the highest end out of the three it comes in as their flagship now we think this is going to be a replacement for the Z6 so don't expect that anytime soon it's rocking the same 5-in full HD screen so no changes here with gorilla glass 4 the cameras are the same as well with 23 megap on the back and 13 map on the front but we're rocking a 2700 mAh battery here and the Snapdragon 820 processor so it's packing some big guns one of my favorite things with the Xperia X performance was actually the back the brush metal design on the back of the phone is absolutely stunning and looks amazing it's one of my favorite design points I've seen on a lot of phones recently it's very cool very appealing and very texturally
