How to Enable Arrow Peak Tabs in Google Chrome: A Handy Trick for Windows 7 Users
As someone who prefers to navigate through tabs using the arrow keys, you'll love this handy trick that makes it easier to switch between open tabs. In this article, we'll show you how to enable Arrow Peak tabs in Google Chrome, especially useful if you're on Windows 7.
To begin with, let's take a look at what happens when you hover over the arrow key in Google Chrome on your Windows 7 machine. As you can see, only the window appears, and not the individual tab. However, there is a simple way to make it show you the tabs.
Firstly, close your browser by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Q (Windows) or Command + Option + Q (Mac). You may also want to check if your browser is completely closed in Task Manager to ensure it's fully shut down.
Next, create a Google Chrome shortcut on your desktop. It doesn't matter which build you use – stable, beta, or developer – as long as it's one of these options. Right-click the shortcut and select "Properties".
Now, look at the Target field. Make sure not to delete anything in this section, and add the following text: `D Dash enable Dash Arrow Das Peak Dash tabs`. Type it exactly as you see on your screen.
Hit Apply and then OK. You're now almost done! If you want to customize the shortcut further, you can drag it down and place it on Taskbar.
Let's open up a couple of tabs, such as Zid and YouTube, and see what happens when we hover over them with our Arrow Peak shortcut enabled. Ah, look at that – all three tabs appear as separate windows with arrows! You can now mouse over any tab to take a closer look or click on one to switch between them.
This trick is especially useful if you're using Google Chrome on Windows 7. If you don't like the result, simply delete the shortcut and everything will be back to normal.
