R34 GTR Hits the STREETS!

**First Gear is Definitely a Lot Shorter Now**

The anticipation was palpable as the driver settled into the new car, a 34 that promised to deliver exceptional performance. The first gear, which had been a significant aspect of the vehicle's design, felt noticeably shorter than expected. This realization came as a surprise to the driver, who couldn't help but feel that the new car's gearing was somehow inadequate. Despite this initial misgiving, the driver remained optimistic, attributing their heightened sense of excitement to the long wait for the car.

**The Anticipation Has Made Me Like That Much More Hyped**

As the driver continued to get familiar with the car, they began to appreciate the new features and technologies that had been incorporated into its design. The four-wheel drive system, which had initially raised some concerns, was now revealed to be a key component of the vehicle's overall performance. However, an unexpected issue arose when the four-wheel drive light came on, casting a pall over what was otherwise a promising first impression. Despite this setback, the driver remained committed to breaking in the car and exploring its full potential.

**The First Drive**

With the initial hurdles out of the way, the driver set about putting the car through its paces, eager to experience its capabilities firsthand. The goal was to load up the engine with boost and push it to its limits, with a focus on feeling the power and excitement that the new car had to offer. As the driver worked their way through the gears, they began to appreciate the smoothness and responsiveness of the transmission. Despite some initial reservations about the gearing, the driver was now beginning to enjoy the car's capabilities.

**The Brakes and Fuel System**

As the driver continued to explore the car's features, they turned their attention to the brakes and fuel system. The issue with the brake pads had raised concerns, but a plan was put in place to address this problem. Meanwhile, the driver also began to work on the fuel system, seeking to optimize its performance and deliver maximum power from the engine. This process involved tweaking various settings and components, including the throttle body and injectors, with a view to unlocking the full potential of the diesel fuel system.

**The First Test Results**

After conducting extensive testing, the driver was pleased to report that the car had performed admirably, with no major issues arising from its first test. The engine had sounded great, and the brakes had shown promise despite some initial concerns. Furthermore, the driver had been impressed by the smoothness and responsiveness of the transmission, which seemed to be handling the demands placed upon it with ease.

**Adjusting to the New Car**

As the driver reflected on their experience with the new car, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and wonder at the prospect of exploring its full potential. The thrill of driving a car that was still relatively new had brought out a sense of enthusiasm in the driver, who was eager to experiment and push the car's limits. Despite some initial reservations about the gearing, the driver was now beginning to appreciate the smoothness and responsiveness of the transmission.

**The Future Plans**

As the first test drew to a close, the driver turned their attention to the tasks that lay ahead. These included fine-tuning the brakes, addressing any remaining issues with the fuel system, and ironing out some minor details such as the clutch pedal adjustment and sensor calibration. With these final preparations underway, the driver was looking forward to taking the car to the dyno, where its capabilities would be put to the ultimate test.

**The Diesel Fuel System**

One of the key areas that the driver wanted to explore further was the diesel fuel system. This complex system was designed to optimize the engine's performance and deliver maximum power from the fuel. The driver was eager to experiment with different settings and components, including the throttle body and injectors, in order to unlock the full potential of this system.

**The ATP GTX 2860 Gen Two**

As the driver delved deeper into the car's capabilities, they began to appreciate the performance of its engine management system. The ATP GTX 2860 Gen Two was a key component of this system, and it seemed to be spooling great, delivering maximum power with ease.

**Feeling Super Laggy? That's Not an Issue Here**

Despite some concerns about lag, the driver found that the car handled perfectly, rolling into boost without any issues. The throttle response was smooth and seamless, making it feel like the car was always ready to deliver maximum power.

**The V Cam: A New Frontier**

Finally, the driver couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of exploring the car's capabilities with its V cam. This feature, which had been promised as part of the car's development, offered a new dimension of performance and potential.

**A New Record: Peak Power Every Month?**

As the driver continued to explore the car's capabilities, they found themselves wondering if it was possible to achieve peak power every month. While this seemed like an ambitious goal, the driver couldn't help but feel that the car had the potential to deliver exceptional performance in this regard.

**Conclusion**

The first drive of the new 34 had been a resounding success, with the driver impressed by the car's capabilities and eager to explore its full potential. From the smoothness and responsiveness of the transmission to the impressive performance of the diesel fuel system, every aspect of the car seemed to be working in harmony to deliver maximum power and excitement.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello and welcome to today's video but before we get started with today's video boy do i have some exciting news for you i forgot the news at 4 pm eastern standard s13 hoodie is also back in stock too for the last time ever but wait there's more and last but not least the r34 hoodie is restocked for the last time ever all three of these hoodies restock for the last time ever 4 p.m eastern standard time make sure you don't miss out guys because i'm sick and tired of getting the dm's i missed out because i had to feed my dog i had to walk my frog i was cutting logs i don't care set a reminder last time ever wasn't a lifetime chance opportunity we're gonna drive the 34 today so if you skip through this you suck if you didn't i appreciate it we have candy with orders i don't know what else i gotta say today skillman and marco are on pulling i call them skillman oh that would be funny this is all going on well today skin man and marco are going to be playing man oh foreskin over here well shillman and margaret are working on e36 today pulling the engine i figured i'd i'd fill you in on what's going on with that uh we're just gonna do a built three liter bottom end um because we already have some like leftover 2j heads laying around so we'll pop one of those on i don't want to waste the the stock dvti 2j we've had sitting in the corner and pull apart a good assembled engine so this one will get the hodgepodge bullsh so that's what's going on with that and then johann has gotten some stuff done on the r34 that will fill you in on and since freddy's here today we can take it drive down the road breaking those rings and hopefully tune soon this week yes so uh while we were gone at clutch kickers johann made a bracket for the power steering reservoir we opted to go with the stock one there aren't a lot of aftermarket reservoirs that i like and we have this one laying around is good shape and it kind of goes with the oem plus type thing we have going on uh but you made a really clean little bracket that uses the oem i don't see the oem mounting points but you didn't have to like drill or really tap anything which is cool um did that yawn you got fans wired up and even button up a lot of little other things yeah it's just little things that you get closer to the finish line it's like you start finding more things and more smaller things like that stuff he's touching right now which i already tied earlier today because i need to lose yeah like things like that and it's like you don't make a mental note or like write it down like when it comes to time like right now either you find it or you just find out when you start driving okay this is loose or we forgot this or that and so now we're just really going through the last stages of the the reveal um ac is all plum or and good thing we have to make no custom lines everything plugs in we put some of the di key sleeving protective on the one of the lines because it's get the whey routes it runs really close to the factory turbos the factory sleeving was like really bad so we just put the dei stuff which is like velcro so you could wrap it around your legs are straight up and down oh no it needs a bag tomorrow's gonna come in my back's killing me well that's the problem a drop not fit get that well piston's still there yeah for sure well the good news is the box the block doesn't yeah the logo is good 2j boxer fetch uh fortune before racing yeah yeah was it a 2j block through the green lantern oh the well we're getting the ring the ring land would be right before push kickers there's literally three quotes mixed up there's the the the the five ringlands laboratory then uh there's the fetch a premium for race fours and then 2jz no yeah you can't say that well he's just going to put subtitles the bomb that says in all inaudible nonsense we're going to do some initial testing clean some stuff up and then break these rings in on the stream uh one issue we were having um with a dual dw 400 pumps it actually wouldn't make any less than 75 psi of fuel pressure uh so we unplugged one pump for now and what we're going to do is run uh wire from the haltech back to the little like solid state relay that i have back there um so we'll just have them kind of trigger in stages once we have a certain boost level yeah probably like 10 or 15 pounds of boost it'll kick on the second home yeah that scares me though what just relying on that yeah relying on that one well you can set fill states if like fuel pressure falls it'll cut boost and stuff okay so we've got vcam plugged in for the first time we didn't want to plug it in before just because we didn't know if all the data and all the sensors were reading right pretty confirmed so we're going to start her up and then i heard with v cam you can actually make it like blow up like a giant camel idol if you want to yeah ready um all right it's the next day uh we end up rewiring the crank trigger scott over at healthtech advised us to run a separate shielded wire instead of going through the factory harness so we did that now we just get to some settings and see if that's enough for this car to actually arrive putting this guy on even though i don't have the hood or the hood hinge isn't complete i just have been terrified having to sit around my office and just getting all scratched up it works now it revs over 3000 rpm thank you john john had to go get fancy wire fancy wire look like this no no oh try again oh that's the shield that we were missing it's crazy although like i feel like it's one of those things where everyone's like oh you got to use yielded wire and they're like nah but it actually doesn't make a difference gonna go try to break the rings in freddie will kind of talk us through that uh we're gonna fill her up with good old 93 octane for the first time ever it'll get e85 eventually uh mike and marco are chasing us so they're gonna get some rollers but um i'm excited i feel like this is the first real time i've driven it because last time i didn't really like rev so it kind of didn't count it's going to be really hard for me to contain myself it feels like a car dude think my ghetto fix on the uh what do you call it uh the clutch booster i can feel the spring sticking a little bit so i'll have to fix that properly when the pedal comes up it kind of gets a little sticky it's just me is there like a haze of pollen over the entire town right now yeah it's pretty bad it's like everything's on fire alignment isn't that bad for just aligning it by eye there's no way no abs lights and no uh four-wheel drive lights yet oh nice i think the car's just happy that it's being driven yeah it's hitting too long so process for betting in the rings are basically just going to get to the point where we can load it up with a little bit of boost yeah so go to like three four thousand i started like not really brake boosting but like loaded up with boost in a lower gear you want to go get gas first yeah we can feel smooth this will be the first time on video they've heard it past 30 grand is it okay if i rub it so you can be spicy feel a little fireball yeah it's a little rich i'm so excited dude i'm just pumped i don't have any lights on my dash that's the biggest thing is uh half a bar of oil pressure normal i'm just kidding i'm kidding i'm kidding i'm like i'm thinking like that's a little low i'm looking for a nice way to say it no it's three bar okay you're good yeah first gear is definitely a lot shorter now damn dude this doesn't feel real no i think the anticipation has made me like that much more hyped because it's been so long yeah i mean you did a lot it's like kind of a new car so the the unfortunately the the the four-wheel drive light did come on sad big sad but we'll figure that out later for now we're just gonna break in this this thing all right now what am i do in fourth just kind of like load it up and build some boost okay i need to go a little bit higher in the rpm and get in the way tell me when uh make sure efrs are good okay five pounds of boost it's tough because you're not supposed to do that with brand new brakes let's work on the brakes first yeah let's bend the brakes and we're gonna have to like slam on him a bunch which i don't really want to do right now so my third gear loaded up and put like 45 motor up a bit am i safe i love how much fuel these have on diesel to where they make all the little pops in overrun oh it's such a tease freddy how four days it doesn't really drop that bad either i think it sounds pretty good ready it's going to sound so cool once we have it takes on too and you hear all the flutters yeah i think you have six blowoff houses oh yeah because oh dude this thing's emitting flames everywhere how do you like the gearing so far it's fine everyone everyone in our 34 worlds whines about it like it's some giant inconvenience i want to tune in now take me to the dino yo yo i cool ops we're left i cool holding that 2k so i can reset the ecu there's a cop right there rub it up a little bit do you really need me to yeah the timing i'm really curious what this thing's gonna rub out to and like make power until i'll be pumped if it like makes power day grand you should be up close it depends how much power you make yeah i got 5 600 it might make peak power every month sounds so cool a new record new personal vest god this is a nice car yeah it feels like a brand new car i love the car but i'm scared to touch it to look at it to be around it same as i feel about my girlfriend i'm just kidding i'm just kidding am i safe to rev it a little bit past four grand just out of like excitement oh god it sounds sick we gotta have mike film some kush from outside bro it's sick and that's only six grand i've got an extra 2500 rpm to go it sounds sick though once it reads up at a certain point like grasping in a good way i'm so excited overall that was an extremely successful first test of the 34. one thing that i'm really excited to see when we got back i took a quick look at the fittings on the valve cover the breathers and they're knocked up to a catch can right now and after we bed the rings in there's very very little blow-by or vapor or whatever you want to call it coming out of the engine so now it's kind of the the fun part of just buttoning up lots of little things before it goes to the dyno a few things i want to address a clutch pedal i need to kind of adjust the rod to make sure i'm not over extending it a couple sensors we're going to play around with the one's going to weld up the intakes i have to wire the second stage for the fuel pump go on i think already pinned to the ecu i just have to hook it up and back i got to put a sway bar in the car throw the rear diffuser back on align it charge ac and then probably we'll iron out all that stuff before we get to the dyno so it kind of has some break in miles from doing that stuff but yeah exciting very very very successful first drive no leaks felt great our one-off vibrant titanium muffler sounded great our haltech basemap massive thanks to tuning fork helping us dial in some of the settings ran flawlessly for the first drive um those atp gtx 2860 gen twos like i said spooled great felt awesome that was which i was really like really nervous we're gonna feel like super laggy with the two six it felt just as good if not better than stock in terms of uh rolling into boost and stuff and we haven't even played with a v cam yet and i'm
