Vision Pro's 4 New Models – Affordable High-Tech Headsets Incoming!

We Have Not One, Not Two, Not Three, But Four Different New Vision Pro Headsets in Development

There are four different New Vision Pro headsets that are currently in development. This is not surprising, as we know that Apple has been working on improving and expanding their lineup of Vision Pro products. The high-end version might not be part of this new batch, but the other three models will definitely include it.

One of the models includes a direct successor to the first-generation model, which would indicate a major upgrade over its predecessor. Another one is a more affordable version of the original Vision Pro headset, which Apple plans to make more widely available. We don't know exactly what "more affordable" means in this context, but we can speculate that it might include a lower price point compared to the current $3,400 model.

The third model is another less expensive version of the Vision Pro headset, and its build materials will reportedly be half those of the first-generation model. This should enable a significantly reduced retail price. Samples of this device are set to begin production in the second half of 2024, with launch following shortly thereafter, according to reports from Interface News.

Apple has also begun communicating with their supply chain about the second and third generation Vision Pro products. It seems that they're looking to reduce costs to bring down prices. In December, an initial batch of 400,000 units was reportedly shipped out, with sales targets set at 1 million units for 2024. This is a clear indication that Apple is committed to making the Vision Pro more accessible and affordable for consumers.

When it comes to pricing the New Vision Pro headset, there's no clear answer yet. When asked about the price point, Lewis responded by saying that if he didn't work for Cult of Mac, he would probably have to pay $0 in order to buy a Vision Pro. However, as someone who reads about this technology every day and is eager to know more about it, he admitted that even he might be willing to pay $34.99 for one.

However, Lewis also questioned the practicality of buying a Vision Pro headset, especially when compared to traditional Mac products. He acknowledged that while the new device features impressive specs like an M2 chip and gorgeous screen, its price tag is still quite steep. The fact that it's going to be useful primarily as a productivity tool might not make up for the high cost.

One interesting example of how the Vision Pro headset could be useful was mentioned by Lewis. He explained that he had noticed himself taking notes more frequently since starting to use a Mac, which suggested that having multiple screens open at once could indeed enhance one's productivity. This ability to have different screens open and interact with them in various ways would indeed be a valuable feature of the Vision Pro headset.

Overall, while Apple has been working hard to improve their lineup of Vision Pro products, there are still many questions surrounding their pricing and practicality. As more information becomes available, we can better understand whether or not this technology is going to be viable for consumers.
